Lord God of Truth Within

Chapter 61: Nature’s Reservoir of Knowledge

In Nature there exists a great dome shaped elemental temple which has been built up through aeons of time by the composite thought of the leaders of our race. From this a composite thought energy comes forth which heralds a new age. These heralds give forth their knowledge and instruction to the wise men of the tribes—a secret knowledge which they hold intact—and when they have perfected this knowledge, they pass it down to the long line of leaders, so that they can stand in the presence and the glory of this shining orb.

Thus, they have slowly instilled into the mind of humanity a knowledge of the divine concerns of nature and God, and their instruction was given to those brethren of the Rose-Cross who stood in the Presence. They divided and assembled themselves into different groups of humanity, so that the Ancient Wisdom Teaching should be held intact in groups separated from other groups, in order to allow the toilers of humanity, when worthy, to group themselves about the sacred edifice and be given secret instruction regarding the laws by which the edifice of nature is built up.

In all the different settlements of humanity, there were to be found groups who were guardians and custodians of nature’s laws regarding her association with man. But the lawgivers of humanity (religion and jurisprudence) appointed themselves as dictators in their own self-constituted universe. Thus the Church and the State still seek to fortify their own interests, heeding not the prophetic voice crying in the wilderness. Hence the custodians of the natural law gave forth their knowledge secretly in their disguised literature.

Through the craftsmanship of their own hands they wrought into the edifices which they constructed, symbols of nature’s teaching, so that in some future time man might, through craftsmanship, come at the understanding which nature can give to him when he is worthy of her appreciation.

The Egyptians, placing the symbol of the winged globe over the entrance to their temples, and the builders in the Middle Ages in their craftsmanship, have left to humanity the symbol of all that is needed to be known regarding the alliance of nature and man. Those who have eyes to see can read both their symbols and the book of nature, through understanding of the fixed principles which nature unfolds to the sincere craftsman.

Man has only to knock and the door of Truth will be opened to him. He has only to seek, and he will find the key to the lost instruction. But he must first, through discipline, perseverance, and aspiration for Truth, be taught how to knock and how to seek. When he has asked for and learned this, then instruction will be given by those truly enlightened ones who hold the secret of the divine laws of nature’s self-government. Then, and only then can man stand in the presence of the Lord God of Truth within and partake of the peace which passeth all understanding.
