Hello Everyone,

I am getting sick and am doing what I can to fight it off, such as juniper berries and frankincense roll-on. I am currently unable to cite the lecture, but an instructor once said something like, "If you feel like you are getting sick, then chew on some garlic." So, I bought a clove (?) of garlic and was happily chomping along the outer layers and eventually got into "stonger" parts of the clove.

Overwhelming.

I do not really trust any info on the web about this, unless you know of a credible source. If you could provide any advice on how to use garlic effectively, it would be appreciated. No hurry. :)

Regards!

Here's what the first Google search offered:
  • Boil a glass of water.
  • Add a few chopped or minced garlic cloves to it.
  • You can also add some grated ginger to it.
  • Now let it cook for 20 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and rest it for 10 minutes.
  • Now strain this drink, add some honey and lemon juice to it to enhance the flavor.

Crush garlic and place it within an herbal tea, especially with ginger and raw honey. This will help your immune system to be strong.

I am not having any luck figuring out how to make this tea. Could you please provide some baby steps?

Do we use a blender for the garlic? Do we blend until smooth? If not, how do we crush garlic (I am uncomfortable with steak knives)? Upon putting the crushed garlic in the tea, do we consume the crushed garlic? Can the herbal tea just be something that we buy premade from a bottle?

There is an overwhelming amount of info on the web about this. If you could provide some advice for someone who has next to no experience in the kitchen, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!
