Secret Teachings of Moses

Chapter 18: The Temptation of Eve

How is our Eve tempted? How does the serpent tempt our Chavah? The serpent tempts our Chavah by means of the sexual impulse that we feel in the very moment when we want to perform the sexual act. This is why it is stated in the book of Genesis that Jah-Havah Elohim (Binah, the Holy Spirit in the Garden of Eden, in the physical body) said to the soul:

But of the fruit of the tree [of good and evil] which is in the midst [sex] of the garden, God hath said, “Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.” —Genesis 3:3

“Ye shall not eat of it”—in other words, you shall not extract the life-force (Shin ש) from your genitalia as Shatan does it through animal desire. This is revealed when you know that the letters of the word Chaioth חית (animals) is also how you spell the word for the letter Chet ח. Let us study it:

The shape of the letter Chet ח is made from two letters: on the right is a Vav ו that is joined to a letter Zayin ז on the left. As we can see, the shape of the letter Chet is similar in shape to the letter Hei ה. The left line in the letter Chet ח touches the top, yet the left line in the letter Hei ה does not touch the top. Hei ה is the letter related with the name Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei יהוה.

So, in the letter Chet ח we find the letters Vav ו and Zayin ז together. The letter Vav ו is masculine and the letter Zayin ז is feminine. The letter Vav ו can represent the masculine channel of energy (Adam, Pingala, Od), and the letter Zayin ז can represent the feminine channel of energy (Eve, Ida, Obd). So, the letters Vav ו and Zayin ז, Adam and Eve, make the letter Chet ח.

If we write the letter Iod י after Chet ח, we then form the word Chai חי, which means “life.”

If we realize that the power and the urge to create life is the power of the Trinity (Kether Chokmah, Binah), then we change that Iod י into the letter Shin ש (fire).

We also know that the power and urge to create are in our sexual glands, condensed in the sperm and ovum, which in Hebrew are represented by the letter Nun נ, which also represents a fish.

Now we have three letters together: Nachash נחש, which represents the ש (fire) of ח (life) in the נ (seed). The word Nachash נחש means “serpent.”

The life-force, represented in the letter Shin ש of the Tree of Life, develops in the spinal column. The fire of life is enclosed within the two polarities of the letter Nun נ: the sperm and the ovum, the seeds or “fish” of the man and the woman.

Any master or prophet is always chaste (maintaining sexual purity), because from Shaddai El Chai, the sexual force, he nourishes his own Chai חי, the life in his spinal column, his Adam and Eve, the two polarities Nun ו and Zayin ז that come from the testicles or ovaries and form the Chet ח of Chai חי.

In the middle of Chet ח (man and woman) we find Jah-Chavah, who is the Chai (life) along his spinal column. Thus, Jehovah Elohim is the Holy Spirit in the midst of the two trees (the Tree of Life: the spinal column; and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil: sex).

And they [Adam and Eve] heard the voice of Jehovah Elohim walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah Elohim in the midst of the trees of the garden. – Genesis 3:8

This verse is translated incorrectly. It is written “And Jehovah Elohim was among the trees” instead of “in the midst.” It was translated “among the trees” as if God were like a deer or lion in the woods, among the trees of the forest… this is not the meaning of “in the midst.” The scripture is referring to Jah and Chavah the Elohim, as was explained. Jah, the father, is in the pineal gland; Chavah, the mother, is in the sexual organs. These two polarities who are united by the spinal column, are Elohim. This is the fire in the spinal column rising to heaven (the cloud), giving life to Adam the brain and Chavah the sex.

And Jah-Havah went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night... —Exodus 13: 21

This is what occurs in the physicality of any prophet. This is why it is stated that any prophet is a prophet of Jah-Havah; there is not a single prophet in the world who is not a prophet of Jah-Havah, because in order to be a prophet you need to lift the serpent from Chavah (sex) to Jah (the brain) as Moses did.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up. —John 3:14

When that serpent is lifted we then have Jehovah within. Therefore, when we state that the prophet is a prophet of Jah-Havah it is not a person outside in the clouds of heaven, but a fire. It is the Tree of Life inside of you. To lift up the serpent in the wilderness is a process in which you have to raise Shaddai El Chai, the life of the field of Yesod, which is God, up to the brain, in order to become a true witness of Jehovah.

Ye [Ida/Eve and Pingala/Adam] are my witnesses, saith Jehovah [Chokmah], and my servants whom I have chosen: that ye may know [Daath, Gnosis] and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me [as Shaddai El Chai] there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Ani [Adam] even Ani [Eve], am Jah-Chavah and AIN as part of me is one savior. – Isaiah 43: 10, 11

This occurs when Adam and Eve in our body become witnesses of that fire of life that rises in the spinal column by means of chastity. Our physicality then becomes the body of a prophet, a master, a real avatar, a messenger, an Angeloi in Greek, because the two polarities Vav ו and Zayin ז are like standing serpents, as you can see in the letter Chet ח, which as we said is comprised of Vav ו and Zayin ז, Ida and Pingala, Od and Obd.

Another Hebrew word in the Bible we need to know is Zarah זרע. Zarah זרע is spelled with the letters Zayin ז, Reish ר, and Ayin ע. Remember that the Hebrew word Ra רע means “evil” or “pollution.” In order to write semen or seed in Hebrew, you write the letters of the word Ra רע (evil) and add to them the letter Zayin ז at the beginning, thus forming the word Zarah זרע. The letter Zayin ז is associated with the woman.

The serpent tempted Eve (Zayin ז) through the seed. It is easy to understand from an alchemical point of view because when the sexual organs want to taste the fruit, it is because the serpent is tempting Chavah. This temptation is the sexual urge. To eat the fruit means to reach the physiological spasm or bestial orgasm through your Chavah.

As it is written:

And Jah-Havah Elohim [Binah in the pineal gland] called unto Adam [the brain], and said unto him, “Where art thou?”

And he said, “I heard [through Vav ו, the spinal column] thy voice in the garden [the body], and I was afraid, because I was naked [without knowledge]; and I hid myself.”

And he said, “Who told thee that thou wast naked [without knowledge]? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?”

And Adam [the brain, Pingala] said, “The woman [the sexual organ, Ida] whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree [through the orgasm], and I [the brain] did eat.” And [by descending from the brain down into Yesod through the letter Vav ו” the spine] Jah-Havah Elohim said unto the woman [the sexual organ], “What is this that thou hast done?”

And the woman [the sexual organ] said, “The serpent [the desire-life-force related with the sexual potency] beguiled me, and I did eat [as a beast].” —Genesis 3:9-13

In other words, the sinner Eve said that the serpent, the most subtle Chaioth writhing in the sexual organs, in Yesod, gave her the sexual impulse and she could not control the orgasm. So through Shatan (animal desire) she ate like a beast.

This conversation between God and the couple is clarified in this previous verse in the Bible:

And they heard [hearing relates to the letter Vav ו] the voice of Jah-Havah Elohim walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam [the brain] and his wife [sexual organs] hid themselves [one on the top and the other at the bottom of the letter Vav ו, the spinal column] from the presence of Jah-Havah Elohim [who is] in the midst of the trees of the garden. – Genesis 3:8

Jah-Havah Elohim, the Holy Spirit, abides inside the trees (spinal column and sexual organs); Jah-Havah Elohim is in the midst of these trees. This means that through the midst of the spinal column Jah-Havah Elohim finds that there is no fire in the Tree of Knowledge (sexual organs). The fire is gone. This is why Jah-Havah Elohim asked Adam (the brain), “Where are you?”

And Adam [the brain] said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I am naked; so I hid.”

He said he was naked because the living fire of God was gone, due to the orgasm.

And Jah-Havah Elohim said, “Who told you that you are naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”

And Adam said, “The woman whom You gave [to be] with me she gave me of the tree; so I am eating.”

The meaning of this is that the consequences of the orgasm reached the brain.

Jehovah Elohim, who is that living fire that was once standing in the spinal column went to the sexual organs and addressed the sexual organs or the woman: “What is this that you have done?”

And the woman [the sexual organs] said, “The serpent enticed me, and I am eating.”

In Hebrew it is written: “And I am eating.” Further, Adam says: “And I am eating.” This means that through Shatan we continue eating, or absorbing the fruit of desire. So, it is not an action that happened in the past, but something that is happening now. People think that this story is an event that happened a long time ago, and that the eating of the forbidden fruit only occurred in the past. Yet, this did not happen only in the past. It is happening in the present: the Garden of Eden is our body.

I [the solar Christic fire] am he who searcheth the kidneys and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. – Revelation 2:23

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that [through the orgasm] soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh [absorb the fruits of desire and] reap corruption; but he that [through chastity] soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit [absorb the fruits of life and] reap life everlasting. —Galatians 6: 7, 8

Thus, when that Godly fire enters into our physicality and searches the kidneys and hearts, our brain always says, “I am eating the fruit of desire,” and the sexual organs say, “The serpent gave the fruit and I am eating.” We eat the fruit of desire every single day, since Shatan or animal desire is the origin of desire and from it emerges other defects or desires that always feed that Cain (animal mind) that came as an offspring of the fall.

And [veh in Hebrew, “Vav”, the medulla] I will put enmity between thee [the serpent, the subtle life force of Yesod] and the woman [Zayin, that relates to procreation, the sexual organ,], and between thy seed and her seed [the seed of the fallen serpent and the seed of the woman]; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. —Genesis 3:15

It is written, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman.” It does not say, “I will put enmity between thee and Eve.” That woman is the woman who fears Jah-Havah, the woman who obeys Jah-Havah, the woman who obeys the Lord (Adonai in Malkuth) or the woman who follows the path. In other words, it is the sexual organ that is dedicated to chastity. So, I will put enmity between thee (the fallen serpent) and the chaste woman (the priestess in Malkuth). It is not an enmity between the tempting serpent and the sinner Eve, as commonly thought. Observation shows that there is no enmity between the tempting serpent and the sinner Eve, because Shatan, the serpent of desire and the sexual organs in animals are very close friends. The tempting serpent is always offering the forbidden fruit of desire to the sinner Eve, the sexual organs, and the sinner Eve, the sexual organs, always falls into temptation and fornicates. As it is written in Genesis:

And when the woman [the sexual organs] saw [felt] that the tree [the sexual act] was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes [pineal and pituitary glands], and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she [committed a stupidity and] took [or yanked] of the fruit thereof [reached the orgasm], and did eat [as the Chaioth], and gave also [the bestial sensation] unto her husband [the brain] with her; and he did eat [absorbed the consequences of lust]. – Genesis 3:6

In other words, the sinner Eve and the tempting serpent become close friends.

Therefore, what we have to understand is that the statement written in 3:15 of Genesis, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman,” refers not to the sinner Eve but to another woman. If we investigate that sinner Chavah (Eve), that sexual organ, in every single individual of this planet we will find that such a sexual organ is a very close friend of the tempting serpent, because everybody is a fornicator and enjoys the physiological orgasm. Therefore, the sexual organ is a friend of the tempting serpent of Eden.

Jehovah Elohim, in 3:15 of Genesis, is stating that in order for us to get out of that sinful state we have to follow the woman-serpent who is against that tempting serpent. She is above in Daath, the “upper Eden” and is the energy of Kundalini, Aima Elohim, the mother of Chaim חיים, “the living.”

When our sexual organ repents and starts transmuting the sexual energy, then our sinner Eve or Chavah, our sexual organ, in the lower Eden transforms itself into “a chaste woman,” which in the gospels is one of the symbols of Mary Magdalene. This is why you find that within each one of us, there is always enmity between the seed of the serpent of fornication and the seed of the woman of chastity.

This is why in Gnosticism we teach that there are two serpents:

  • The Kundabuffer organ, which is the tempting serpent of Eden, who kills the Israelites in the desert
  • The Kundalini, which is the brazen serpent that heals the Israelites in the wilderness and the serpent that, under the command of God, Moses lifted up in the wilderness.

And Iod-Havah said unto him [Moses], “what is that in thine hand?” And he said, “A rod.” And he said, “Cast it on [Adamah אדמה] the ground.” And he cast it on [adamah] the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

And Iod-Havah said unto Moses, “Put forth thine hand, and take it [the serpent] by the tail [Yesod].” And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: “That they may believe that Jah-Havah the Elohim of their fathers, the Elohi of Abraham, the Elohi of Isaac, and the Elohi of Jacob [that is Shaddai El Chai in Yesod], hath appeared unto thee.” – Exodus 4: 2-5
