"Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father..." —Genesis 19:36
To understand the story of Lot seduced by his daughters, one must study Kabbalah (the Tree of Life) and Alchemy (the Tree of Knowledge). In order for every evolving or devolving life form to exist, it must absorb light — namely, chaiah, life — from the stars of which it has descended. Thus the protoplasmic bodies (our physical body and our mind) are evolving or devolving vessels of descended light-consciousness of lunar, mechanical nature. These protoplasmic light-consciousness vessels host the consciousness (anima, buddha-dhatu, essence, a tiny spark of Neshamah, soul) embedded deep within each one of them in order to keep them in existence. Other than that deep kernel of light-consciousness, the whole essence of the protoplasmic bodies is mechanical, namely lunar, selfish, an antithesis to the altruistic solar divinity. The protoplasmic bodies hold on to these descended lights they clothe, in order to use that energy to give form to its desires. The protoplasmic bodies express descended light — they hold it and concretize it, depriving it of being expressed in other ways. The protoplasmic lunar nature through evolution becomes intellectual animal nature, which is Nephesh. In the beginning of the alchemical work, the alchemist rectifies, absorbs and transmutes the light of this Nephesh into willpower. Lunar nature however always wants what it considers to be its duty, procreation, thus through the orgasm the light is absorbed by Nephesh, the animal soul, fortifying its desires. It enrolls the light of its evolving and devolving formations to make sure that the Ruach Elohim (the spirit) does not neglect it in the sephirah Binah’s formations, yet these formations are impure formations, negative, lunar, and result in suffering. The alchemist who folllows divinity utilizes sexual alchemy (transmutation, chastity) to recapture the light of these evolving and devolving formations and use it for solar purposes, to create superior forms (solar bodies, virtues) rather than inferior ones. This is why in the end these lunar vessels must be shattered.
The Three Pillars
Three Sephiroth of יצר Yetzer (form) are found in the Pillar of Severity (, , and ).
Three Sephiroth of אור Aur (energy) are found in the Pillar of Mercy (, , and ).
The Pillar of Equilibrium is between these two pillars, where all of the distinct levels of תודעה Tarot and Kabbalahare found ( , , , and )." — ,
“It is written, 'If you do good, will it (theor Brazen Serpent) not be 'שאת shath' lifted up? If you don't do good, sin (the kundabuffer or tempting serpent) crouches at (פתח pathach) the door. Its desire is for you, and you should rule over him."' (Genesis 4:7).
The words: ‘If you do good, will it not be 'שאת shath' lifted up?’ have already been explained but there is another signification given of them by Rabbi Abba, thus, 'If you do good,' yourshall (שאת shath) lifted up on high and never fall again below. That is, if you live according to the dictates of ( or ) your Higher Self, you shall be שאת shath' lifted up and become united with him; but if not, you shalt sink lower (with the יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation from the kundabuffer serpent) unto the dust of the earth from which you have come forth."
Said Rabbi Jose: "This interpretation of the word 'שאת shath' is very good and excellent, but I have heard another interpretation, which is, God said to Cain: 'If you do good, the impure spirit [רע ra or kundabuffer organ] will not abide within you nor cleave unto you, but if you do not do good, sin or evil [חטאת] lies at the door' (ready to overtake you). By the word 'door' (פתח pathach) is meant צדק Tzedek, justice or punishment from on high, for the great tribunal of divine justice is designated by this same word, door or gate, as it is written, 'Open unto me the (inferior orifice פתחו pathachu of the medullar canal, which is found hermetically closed in common and ordinary people. The seminal vapors ofopen this orifice in order for the sacred fire of to enter through the) gates of צדק Tzedek, justice' (Psalm 118: 19). By 'sin lies at the door' is meant the impure spirit [רע ra, the kundabuffer organ] which if you fall into his power, he (Satan) will bring your before the tribunal of divine justice, when it (his kundabuffer or tail) will be hurled to destruction and become dissolved into the original element out of which it has been formed and produced." - Zohar
"And Lot went up out of צוער Tzoar." Rabbi Abba said: Behold what is written about the יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation. You should know that it (the יצר הרע yetser ha-ra, Impure Formation) will always exist in human beings until that time, of which it is written:
"A new heart also will I give you, and a new רוח ruach spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the (Protoplasmic Nephesh, the) stony (bestial) heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of (human) flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26).
And even though it (the יצר הרע yetser ha-ra, Impure Formation) sees human (of) beings punished in גהינום Gehinnom (Hell), it returns again (according to the law of return and recurrence) into people. This is as it is written: "And Lot went up out of צוער Tzoar (Limbo)," that is, out of the agony (Hebrew Tza'ar) of גהינום Gehinnom (Hell). From there, he goes up (with Nephesh, the animal ) to ( , the physical world, to) seduce people.
Rabbi Yehudah said: There are three directing powers in people. One is the directing power of the mind and wisdom, which is the (embryo of, the) power of the Holy Neshamah ( and ). Next is (the protoplasmic bodies) the directing power of (animal) , which craves all kinds of impure (bestial) desires. And finally, the directing (vital) power that controls human (bodies of) beings in their behavior and strengthens their body. This is called the Nephesh of the body, of which Rabbi Dimi said: This (vital or ethereal body) is the Maintaining Power (of our physicality, ).
Rabbi Yehudah said: Come and behold. The יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation (Satan, the) has control over the last two powers. The lusting Nephesh always follows (Satan, the ) the יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation. We learn this from what is written: "And the firstborn (the protoplasmic Nephesh) said to the younger (the Nephesh of the body), Our father is old..." (Genesis 19:31) The lusting Nephesh arouses the other and seduces it through the body to cleave to (Satan) the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation. And it says: "Come, let us make our father drink wine (intoxicating impressions of desire), and we will lie with him." What is for us in the world to come? Let us pursue (Satan) the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation and the lustful pleasures of (Lilith and Nahemah in) this world. So what did they do? They agreed to cling to it. Thus, it is written: "And they made their father drink wine (intoxicating impressions of desire)." They feed ravenously (through his senses and his imagination) in order to arouse themselves and reach (Satan) the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation through food and drink (intoxicating impressions of desire, whether physically or mentally).
"...and the first born went in, and lay with her father" (Genesis 19: 33). When a person lies in bed at night, the lusting Nephesh arouses the (, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation. It clings to it until he cling to every impure thought, and it conceives a little, which brings that impure thought (imagination, fantasy) into the heart of the person. And it clings to it and remains in the heart without being fulfilled, until that lustful desire arouses the power of ( , sex in) the body, as it did at first, to cling to (Satan) the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation. And then incest is achieved, as it is written: "Thus were both (Nephesh) the daughters of Lot (the embryo of , bottled up within Satan, the ) with child by their father" (Genesis 19: 36).
Rabbi Isaac said: The (embryo of, Lot, bottled up within the seven capital sins, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation can be seduced only by (the bestial craving of) eating (the forbidden fruit) and drinking (from the cup of ), and by the merriment of (the fermented) wine (of through imagining intoxicating impressions of desire). Then it controls (Lot, the embryo of of) humankind.
As for the righteous (alchemist), what is written of him? It is written: "The righteous eats to the satisfying of his (embryo of)(the power of the Holy Neshamah)," (Proverbs 13:25) and never becomes drunk (with the fermented impressions of desire for ).
As Rabbi Yehudah said: A Torah scholar who gets drunk is described as "A jewel of gold in a swine's snout" (Proverbs 11:22). And as well as that, he (by means of, whether mentally or physically) desecrates the Celestial Name.
How do sinners behave? It is written: "And behold joy and gladness..." (Isaiah 22:13). At this stage, (fermented) wine (impressions of desire for) takes over a person, "slaying oxen (the fire of ), and killing sheep (his archetypes of Israel by) eating (the fire of the) flesh (Nephesh of the body) and drinking (fermented) wine (impressions of desire for )." (Ibid.). Of them the Scriptures say: "Woe to them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink (impressions of desire for )..." (Isaiah 5:11) to arouse the ( or beast of seven heads, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation, as this Formation is not aroused without (the fermented) wine (impressions of desire for ). Therefore, it is written: "And they made their father drink wine."
Rabbi Abba then said: It is written that, "he (Lot) perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose." This means that the (, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation is not aware of its lying down in this world, nor of its rising up (or returning) to the world to come. It (Lot, the embryo of , bottled up within the ) is aroused through the (Nephesh) power of the body to accomplish its lustful desires in this world. As Rabbi Abba said: When the sinners enter into (hell) גהינום Gehinnom, the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation is brought there to see them. As it is written: "when Lot entered into צוער Tzoar (Hebrew Tza'ar, 'agony')," (Genesis 19:23) that is, into the agony of גהינום Gehin anom. And from there it (Lot, the embryo of , bottled up within the ) rises (as Satan) to seduce people. Therefore, it is written: "And Lot went up out of צוער Tzoar ," out of the agony of גהינום Gehinnom (Hell).
"...And dwelt in the mountain..." (Genesis 19:30) Rabbi Isaac said: What we learn from the words, "in the mountain" is that this is the dwelling place of Lot and his two daughters, who are the two forces mentioned before. In the mountain means in the (physical) body, which is as wasted as a mountain that has no goodness in it.
Because "he feared to dwell in צוער Tzoar ," (Ibid. 30) fear and anxiety overtook him, as he saw (in Limbo) the agony of גהינום Gehinnom and the misery of the wicked. And it thinks it will be punished there. However, as soon as it (Lot, the embryo of, bottled up within the ) realizes that it shall not be punished there, the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation goes out and seeks to seduce human (embryos of) beings to follow it (through the imagination, fantasy, impressions of desire for ).
Rabbi הונא Huna discussed this subject in an effort to prevent people. He would say to them: My children (alchemists), beware of (your sensual lunar mind) the 'messenger from גהינום Gehinnom (hell).’ And who is this messenger? It is (Satan) the (, the) Impure (lunar mental) Formation, which is the 'messenger from גהינום Gehinnom (your infraconsciousness)'.
Rabbi Abba then asked: Why is it written: "The עלוקה leech (the) has two daughters, crying: Give, give" (Proverbs 30:15)?
These refer to the two daughters of Lot, who correspond to the lusting Nephesh and the Nephesh that takes part in the body and constantly pursues the (עלוקה leech, the, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation (through wet dreams, the imagination, fantasy).
Rabbi Joshua said: About Lot, it is written, "he feared to dwell in צוער Tzoar ." It is also written there that "the leech (the) has two daughters, crying: Give, give." The numerical value of ירא Irah 'feared' equals that of עלוקה 'leech.' Rabbi Isaac said: If he was afraid, why then does the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation come to misguide people?
But, this is indeed the way of the wicked. When he sees impurity, his fear lasts only a moment. He then immediately returns to his wicked ways and fears nothing. Similarly, when the (, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation sees the wicked being punished, it is afraid. But as soon as it leaves (Limbo), it fears nothing."
Rabbi Abba said: In reference to the verse, "And the firstborn said to the younger, Our father is old..." what is "our father is old"? This alludes to the (, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation (within which Lot, the embryo of , is bottled up), that is called 'old', as it is written: "Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and stupid king, who has not known to be warned any more." (Ecclesiastes 4:13).
It is old because it (Lot, the embryo of"covered" by the , the impure formation) is born together with (the protoplasmic lusting Nephesh of the) person. As we have learned, Rabbi Yehudah said: Rabbi Jose said that the lusting Nephesh says to the other one (the Nephesh of the body) - Our father (Lot, the embryo of "covered" by the , the impure formation) is old, so let us follow him and cling to him, like all the other wicked people in the world. "...and there is not a man in the earth to come to us" means that there is no righteous person upon earth, and there is no one who has control over his lustful desires.
So there are many sinners (like Lot - Hebrew לוט "covered") in the world (covered by יצר הרע yetser ha-ra the impure formation) and we therefore will not be the only guilty ones. Let us do as all the people on earth do ― let us sin, since until now this is the way all people on earth conduct themselves. "Let us make our father drink (the fermented) wine (fantasy, imagination, impressions of desire for)," let us be happy in this world by eating and drinking (like beasts) and getting drunk (with desire whether mentally or physically).
We will then cling to our "father," namely the (, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation, and "we will lie with him." And the Holy Spirit cries out loud and says:
"But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment." (Isaiah 28:7)
Rabbi Yehudah then said: Come and behold. It is written: "And they made their father drink wine" (Genesis 19:33).
The way of the wicked is to go astray by drinking (the fermented) wine (of pornography or mental impressions of porno "prostitution," desire for), to indulge the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation with pleasures and arouse it until it rejoices in drunkenness and lies in its bed.
Immediately then, "the firstborn went in and lay with her father"; she joins him and begins to imagine all kinds of bad thoughts (imagination, fantasy, impressions of desire for). The ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation joins her and clings to her, and ceases to be aware of her or of what it does to her "when she lay down" in this world or, "when she arose" to the world to come. "...when she lay down..." in the world to come, she will account for her deeds and be judged for them.
And "When she arose" for the Day of Judgment, it is written:
"And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." (Daniel 12:2).
Here the (, the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation has no perception at all, so it clings to her, and she clings to it. Later, she arouses the other. Thus, after the great thought is attached to the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation, the other one comes and clings to it. "And they made their father drink wine," (Genesis 19:35) to arouse the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation and cling to it. And then they fulfilled their impure thoughts through action, and they both became pregnant to the ( , the) יצר הרע (yetser ha-ra) Impure Formation (to shame and everlasting contempt). As it is written: "Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father" (Genesis 19: 36). Now that their deeds are done, each one "bears its impurity." "This is the way of the wicked (psyche). They interact with the ( , the יצר הרע yetser ha-ra, Impure Formation), until it kills them (physically), and then drags them (their psyche) down into גהינום Gehinnom (Hell), where it leaves them (till the second death). Afterward, it (the יצר הרע yetser ha-ra, Impure Formation, through the evolution of the new protoplasmic bodies) goes out (when reaching the animal kingdom) to seduce more people (in a new cycle), as has been explained. So he (the ) who recognizes its ways is saved from it and never joins it (but disintegrates it)." - Zohar
"Behold, I will cast her (this lunar protoplasmic nature) into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation (suffering), except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her (protoplasmic) children with (the second) death (through intense suffering in the underworld); and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the kidneys and hearts (to find wherehas trampled through): and I will give unto every one of you according to your deeds (according to the law of cause and effect). But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira (the heart), as many as have not this doctrine (the pact of fire: transmutation, ) , and which have not known the depths of Satan (the adversary of divinity in you), as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcomes (his ), and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the morning star (“the bringer of light”)." - Revelation 2: 22-28
