Ens Virtutis

(Latin) A term used by Paracelsus. Literally, ens is “entity” and virtutis is “strength/power; courage/bravery; worth/manliness/virtue/character/excellence.” Virtutis is derived from Latin vir, “man.” So, we can translate this as "power entity."

Paracelsus stated that the ens virtutis must be extracted from the ens seminis, thus saying that all virtue and excellence is developed from the force within the sexual waters.
