Buddha-nature

The English rendering of Buddhadhatu ("Buddha element, cause, metal, root, principle, or element"), which is itself a description of the Sanskrit word Tathagatagarbha, "the embryo or seed of a Buddha." Variously called sugatagarbha, buddhata, or Essence.

"The Buddhadatu, the Buddhist principle, exists within the interior of every human being who is not yet in the final state of degeneration.
