The Serpents of Eden

We are going to penetrate into the mysteries of the world of Eden and into the mystery of the word or Logos. In the first graphic we see Hermes Trismegistus who is the messenger of the God Mercury. Mercury is always associated with the word, with wisdom, the Logos. This is why Mercury is called Hermes the wise, who is always associated with the Caduceus of Mercury. We are going to penetrate into the mysteries of kabbalah and alchemy, related with the two serpents of the Caduceus of Hermes, which within each one of us is associated with our psychosomatic system.

First, let us read what the master Jesus said in the gospel of Matthew, chapter 10, verse 16 and chapter 12, verse 40. Where we read,

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as a dove [יונה Jonah]. 

Note that we inserted the word Jonah, which in Hebrew means “dove,” and is spelled Yod, Vav, Nun, Hei. In the following verse we read,

For as Jonah [יונה a dove] was three days and three nights in the [final Nun] big fish's belly (this is the literal translation in both Hebrew and in Greek); so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of [ה Hei] the earth.- Matthew 12: 40

נון

In the word Nun נון we see three letters: Nun, Vav and final nun. Recall that the letter nun [נון] means “fish” in Aramaic. The letter nun is the third letter of the word Jonah in Hebrew. At the end of any Hebrew word that ends with “Nun,” the final Nun resembles an elongated Vav; final Nun becomes a straight line (from the head to the feet). Naturally, it becomes big, as a stretched Vav. This is why we wrote in brackets “final nun” for “big fish,” because Nun נון means fish. The normal Nun is a small fish, and the bigger Nun a big fish. 

Thus, when we consider the meanings of the letters in relation with alchemy and kabbalah, we find then the hidden meanings in the sacred texts. Master Jesus or Jeshua the son of נון Nun said: 

 … for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the big fish’s belly, so shall the son of man (which kabbalistically represents tiphereth symbolized by the letter Vav) be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. - Matthew 12: 40 

In kabbalah, earth is symbolized by the letter Hei from the holy name of God, Yod, Hei, Vav, Hei. So we see that the entire wisdom of kabbalah is hidden in the letters, for those that have eyes to see it and who want to comprehend the mystery of alchemy that we are now unveiling for humanity, because humanity needs it. 

Mercury is associated with water, symbolized by the Hebrew letter Mem. 

Here we see an image of Quetzalcoatl, which in Nahuatl language means “feathered serpent” or “Snake-Bird.” ‘Be wise as serpents and harmless as a dove’ said Jesus, so he associates wisdom with the serpents, and gentleness with a dove, in other words, with the two winged serpents of the Caduceus of Mercury. When we imagine a dove, we imagine a bird with wings. Quetzalcoatl - from the Nahuatl language - unites Quetzal and Coatl,  the two symbols in one. 

In Genesis chapter 3, verse 1 we read, “And the serpent was wiser than any beast” and in verse 6, “And when the woman saw that the tree [or Caduceus of Mercury] was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise;” so, Moses also associates serpent with wisdom. 

Let us study the first verse:

והנחש היה ערום מכל חית השדה אשר עשה יהוה אלהים 

And [vav] the serpent was wiser than any beast of the field which Yod-Havah Elohim [יהוה אלהים] had [עשה] made. - Genesis 3: 1

Note here that the word Assiah [עשה] means make, because the world of Assiah relates to the world of action and matter and is associated to the Hebrew letter Hei, which represents the sephirah Malkuth. This is how when one studies the mysteries of kabbalah and alchemy one reads the book of Genesis and the gospels in connection with the mysteries of the ten sephiroth of the Tree of Life and the two serpents of the Caduceus of Mercury or Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. 

The letter Vav symbolizes the serpent of Genesis 3:1. We will study how the letter Vav is hidden in the anatomy of the human being, in its psychosomatic system. 

The Hebrew letter Vav is spelled as a word with two וו Vavs, and thus denotes two serpents, which are two semi-physical, semi-ethereal nerve cords known in Sanskrit as Ida and Pingala, and in alchemy as Obd and Od. In Kabbalah, these two cords are represented by the two Vavs of the word Vav. As well, vav means “and.” So, the letter Vav is a symbol of a serpent, and this is hidden in the first verse of the book of Genesis where the letter Vav appears for the first time in the word ואת Ve-Ath: 

בראשית ברא אלהים את השמים ואת הארץ

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.- Genesis 1: 1

As we see, in the creation of [Assiah עשה] the Earth, we find that in ואת הארץ Ve-Ath-Ha-Aretz [“and the earth”] the letter Vav is associated with את Ath, the third Logos, the sephirah Binah. Likewise, in והנחש Va-Ha-Nahash [“And the serpent”] from Genesis 3:1, Vav is associated with Yod-Havah Elohim, Binah, and the world of Assiah [עשה] or matter and action. In Hebrew, Assiah [עשה] means “make.” This means that the action of את Ath, the Holy Spirit, Binah, in matter [Assiah עשה] is done through the letter Vav, the serpent. We read, 

In the beginning God created the heavens and [vav, the serpent] את Ath the Earth. 

In Hebrew we read ואת Ve-Ath because as we already explained the letter Vav joins את Ath or the letter Aleph and the letter Tav, which symbolize the Logos, given that Aleph is the first letter and Tav is the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet. They represent the same as the alpha and omega of the Greek alphabet. Remember that the letters alpha and the omega are associated with Christ, the Logos, who said: 

 I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the ending. - Revelation 1: 8 

Alpha refers to the Word, the creative power [און Aun in Hebrew] of the Logos in the throat, and Omega the Word that becomes flesh through the creative power [און Aun in Hebrew] of the Logos in the genitalia. Christ, the Second Logos, is called the Logos, the Word. At the beginning of the gospel of John, it states,

In the beginning was the Logos (Word) and the Logos (Word) was with God and the Logos (Word) was God. - John 1:1

Let us read a quotation from the Zohar in order for us to comprehend this more deeply. The Zohar states,

"A great fish [letter Nun Final] coming from the left swims through all these waterways to poison and corrupt them. Its scales are as steel. From its mouth comes forth a lurid flame and its tongue is like a sharp sword. Its object is to force its way into the sanctuary of the great ocean to pollute and defile it and thus extinguish light, and causing the waters to become frozen, and the great circulatory water system may cease to operate.

You might wonder what this great circulatory water system is. This great circulatory water system is related to our central nervous system. We have mentioned many times in the past that the brain and the spinal medulla float in the cerebrospinal fluid. This is the water of Genesis. The other water system is the creative sexual energy that we have in our genitalia. So, let us place our mind on those circulatory creative waters systems in order to comprehend what the Zohar is stating. These two waters systems are connected to וו Vav, the two serpents, Pingala and Ida. The Zohar is making reference to Ida, or “a great fish coming from the left,” which is obviously the letter Vav as ן Nun Final. This left great fish is O-Mega that emerges from the lower waters of Yesod. The Zohar continues, 

"The occult meaning of this mystery is expressed in the words of scripture, 'Now the serpent [Ida] was wiser than any beast of the field which יהוה אלהים had made,' (Genesis 3:1). This [Ida] serpent wished to accomplish his aim by first corrupting the brooklets below [in Yesod] and making them impure and bitter, so that flowing back to the great ocean their fountain head, it might become polluted. This is why he first seduced Adam [the brain] and brought death into the world and entered into the heart of Adam from the left side.

"There is, however, another serpent [or Pingala] that comes from the right. These two serpents [Pingala and Ida] are they that are closely attached to [Sushumna or central nervous system] Adam during his lifetime, as scripture saith, 'of all the beasts of the field that יהוה אלהים had made,' 

The alchemical meaning is, Vav, the serpent [Ida], was wiser than the other two standing serpents that form the shape of the Hebrew letter "Chet" of חית Chaioth "beast" of Yesod, the field that Iod-havah had made. In Hebrew, the word beasts as well as Chet is written חית Chaioth. The words Chaiah, Chai, and Chaim (חי ,חיה and חיים) relates to life, which is the meaning of the letter ח Chet, whose shape is made by two standing serpents; thus, חיים Chaim relates to life in the higher levels of spirituality, because it ends with ים “im” Yod and Mem, which denote masculine plural; Adam, the brain is masculine, and Eve, the genitalia is feminine. 

And Yod-Havah Elohim said, Behold, Adam [the brain] has become as one of us, knowing good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life [חיים chaim], and eat, and live [חי chai] for ever. - Genesis 3:22

Now, חית chaioth which is another word that begins with Chet ח and ends with Tav ת, is usually translated as “beasts” because it is related to the sexual waters in Yesod, it ends with ת, Tav, which is always feminine plural. Chaim is above in the waters of our cerebrospinal fluid and chaioth is below in the sexual force, the waters of Yesod. When we read that the serpent (ו) was wiser than any beast and we see the word chaioth (חית), then we know it is referring to the life below, in the sexual organs, because chaiah (חַיָה) means “life.” The serpent that is related with procreation is Ida, or what the book of Genesis calls “evil,” the left side of the Tree of Life. The Zohar states, 

'Now the serpent was wiser than any beast of the field which יהוה אלהים had made,' (Genesis 3:1). This [Ida] serpent wished to accomplish his aim by first corrupting the brooklets below [in Yesod] and making them impure and bitter, so that flowing back to the great ocean their fountain head, it might become polluted. This is why he first seduced Adam and brought death into the world and entered into the heart of Adam from the left side.

Adam is the brain, which is symbolized in many different ways, so when we see the phrase “the great ocean,” we have to understand that in Taoism, the brain is called the “sea of marrow.” This sea of marrow, our brain, receives the forces of the two serpents Pingala and Ida. The Zohar continues,

"There is, however, another serpent that comes from the right. These two serpents [Pingala and Ida] are they that are closely attached to [Sushumna] Adam during his lifetime,

Remember that Adam is the brain and that the channel Shushumna [in Sanskrit] connects the brain with the spinal medulla. 

 As scripture saith, 'of all the beasts of the field [Yesod] that יהוה אלהים [Binah, the Holy Spirit] had made,' these two are the most cunning, crafty and subtle in tempting and destroying Adam [the brain]. Woe unto him [the initiate] who allows himself to be led on and seduced by the serpent, for death irretrievable is his doom, physically, morally and spiritually, both to himself and to those associated with him, as in the case of Adam who wished to know and become expert in nature's secrets and occult science. In revealing them and exciting within him a fictitious joy and happiness, the serpent acquired that influence and control over Adam [the brain] that contributed to and brought his ruin and downfall and thus caused him to suffer, as also his successors. From the day that Israel came to the foot [Yesod] of Mount Sinai, the impurity and corruption wrought by the serpent has not disappeared from the world [Malkuth]. – Zohar

So remember that when we refer to Adam, we also refer to Israel because the two forces, the two serpents, Pingala and Ida, go into the brain and descend into the nostrils. From there they go into the heart, which is the sephirah Tiphereth, where we find Israel.

In the next graphic we see the three letters Yod, Vav, and Nun final attached to each other. In alchemy and kabbalah, the letter Yod represents the brain. The little thing that stretches down from that Yod represents the spinal medulla. When it is elongated, the letter Yod becomes the letter Vav, which touches the heart. This is because when we refer to the heart, Tiphereth, in the middle column of the Tree of Life, we are referring to the letter Vav. When we say Yod (the head), Vav (the heart), and from the heart Vav descends straight, directly as the final Nun (the big fish) into Yesod, which is represented by the final Nun. In other words, in these three letters we are looking at the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Father is Yod, represented by Kether. The kingdom of the Son is in the heart, which is Vav, or Tiphereth. And the kingdom of the Holy spirit is Nun, the fish, in the sexual organs. 

In Yesod we find the two polarities, the two fish: the sperm and the ovum, the two sexual forces, sex divided. That is why it is significant that the word Jonah, which means “dove” in Hebrew, relates to these three letters. The only difference between the word יונה Jonah and the word יון Ion is that Jonah has the letter Hei at the end. The letter Hei symbolises Malkuth, our physicality. 

Visualize these three letters in the middle column of the Tree of Life, which is our spinal column. This is how we have to see it, in order to understand what Master Jesus, better said, Jeshua the son of נון Nun, said: 

… for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the big fish’s belly, so shall the son of man (which kabbalistically represents Tiphereth symbolized by the letter Vav) be three days and three nights in the heart of the Earth. - Matthew 12: 40

The belly or the womb of the big fish is the spinal medulla. So, the Son of Man should be three days and three nights in the belly of the big fish or final Nun, that unites the sephiroth Kether and Tiphereth to Yesod. 

The letter Vav (or final Nun) appears in the graphic of this woman in profile, pointed from the head to the sexual organs, because the letter Nun, fish, is dual; two positive forces. For instance, if we translate this יון Yod, Vav, and Nun final, it reads ion in English. In chemistry, an ion is an atom that is charged with either positive or negative energy. In other words, an ion could be a man or a woman, male or female. In order to balance those positive and negative ions, man and woman, we unite them sexually. Then we have i-o-n-ah (Jonah). And as Jonah we are in the belly of the whale or the big fish, because we connect them through the sexual organs, represented by the letter Nun. This is the alchemical meaning of Jonah being in the belly of the big fish. This is how one sees it when one knows alchemy. Otherwise he or she enters into superstitions; thinking that a big whale swallowed someone and took him into the ocean and then vomited him out in Nineveh. All of that is alchemical symbolism. We have talked about that in other lectures, but here we see it very easily.

We are speaking about ions, which are positively and negatively charged atoms. At the base of our personality or individuality, we are just made up of atoms, solar and lunar atoms. We can say that a positive ion is the sun; a negative ion is the moon. Each of them needs to be balanced by the other. This is why we were divided into male and female. Before the division into male and female, Adam and Eve, we were androgynous. This is something that we have to study. 

In the next graphic we see the spinal medulla, the brain, or the central nervous system in the lower right. On the left we see the word Jonah. If we understand that the brain is the head, the medulla is the vav, and the nun is the sexual force in Hei (the body) then we understand what Jonah means, alchemically speaking. Here we are not saying that the prophet Jonah did not exist. He existed, of course. But his existence is not the point of the scripture. Although the book of Jonah is very small, it says a lot when you know the mysteries of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet and how wisdom is hidden within them. 

The graphic at the very bottom shows Jonah. Alchemically, Jonah is someone who has united positive and negative (Ida and Pingala) within himself and has awakened the neutral force that in Sanskrit is called Kundalini, or in Kabbalah is called the force of shekinah.

Regarding the symbolism of Adam, let us read from the Zohar,

"And the Lord God [Jehovah Elohim] formed Adam" (Genesis 2:7), that is, [by וייצר gathering all the archetypes of] Israel. 

The mystery of creation is one. In Hebrew, creation is בריאה Briah. Creation is related to the world of Assiah, as we studied it in the beginning of this lecture. Yet to form Adam is another thing. When the Bible says “...and Jehovah Elohim formed Adam,” people think that it is repeating what we read in the first chapter. No. This is another step. 

"And Jehovah Elohim formed Adam" (Genesis 2:7), that is, Israel [in the world of Yetzirah]. Here the word וייצר Vav-Yitzerah (Vav formed) is written with two Yods or ‘I's, indicating that the Holy One formed [וייצר Vav-Yitzer] Adam [the son of Nun] with two natures [two Yods], the higher and lower self; the one divine, the other earthly, and impressed upon his [צר tzer] form the divine name, Vav, Yod, Yod, ויי, expressed by the two eyes and the nose between them, thus: I. The numerical value of these letters [ויי] is 26, which is also that of the divine name, יהוה. - Zohar

Thus, first אלהים Elohim has to create Adam. Second יהוה אלהים Yod-Havah Elohim has to form, to model, that Adam within each one of us. This is why in the first chapter of the book of Genesis, every single verse begins with this: “And (vav) Elohim said…" The letter vav is always there. Vav, the serpent, is the one that is doing the whole work of Elohim. But if you do not know who Elohim is, alchemically speaking, then you do not know what you are reading. 

To begin, the word El means “god.” In Hebrew it is spelled Aleph, Lamed (אל). The letter Aleph is composed of two Yods, above and below. These two Yods are divided by a letter Nun final. They are united through the letter vav. This symbolizes the two waters that we have, above [the brain] and below [sexual organs] in our organism, are united by our spinal column. That is Aleph, the letter that relates to Ain, Ain Soph, and Ain Soph Aur. Aur (light) begins with that letter Aleph. 

Every work that we have to perform within ourselves is done with the spinal column and the two waters. That is why the name of God in Hebrew begins with the letter Aleph. El means “god” (masculine). The letter lamed (ל) of El connects the breath of God with the heart. 

In Hebrew, goddess is spelled Aleph, Lamed, Hei: Elah. God is El, and goddess is Elah. 

At the end of the word Elohim we find the letter Yod and the letter Mem. ים Yam means “water, ocean, lake.” So in the word Elohim we read “god, goddess, waters.” That ים “im” also makes the word masculine and plural.

Where is this El, Elah, Yam? El is the positive masculine force, related with the brain. The feminine force, the goddess, is Elah, symbolized alchemically by the sexual organ, which alchemically is considered feminine, receptive, even in male bodies. El and Elah are united in the fluids: the cerebrospinal fluid and the sexual fluids. When people are looking for Elohim or God outside of themselves, they do not know that this El, Elah, Elohim is something that they carry in their spinal column and sexuality. Thus, because they do not know that, they misbehave and corrupt their brain, heart, and sex. 

• IIIIII [mantra pronounced as an elongated long E vowel sound, representing the mantra that activates the energetic center in the brain]
• Oooooo [long O vowel sound mantra to activate the energetic center in the heart region. ]
• Nnnnnn [mantra sound associated with the sexual organs ]. 

These mantras are the sounds of ION. 

Every person is polarized according to how they use their energy; they are charged positively or negatively. Most people never balance the forces within them, because they do not know how, alchemically speaking. 

When we read about the Elohim in the Zohar or in any book of alchemy, we must look for Elohim in ourselves. El, Elah: our spinal column, our central nervous system. There are two branches that sprout from the central nervous system; these are called the grand sympathetic nervous system and the parasympatheic nervous system: right and left. Those are the branches of Israel that are connected to the various organs of our earth or organism. 

And all righteous [צ Izadik] people shall inherit [ציון Zion] the [יון "Ion" of the] earth forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. - Isaiah 60: 21

God is that energy, that force that is related with three vavs, better said, with the letters Zayin, Nun final, and Vav (וןז). This is why the Tree of Life has three columns: the central, the left, and the right. That is how we have to see it. The Tree of Life (חיים Chaiim) is in the back; the spinal column. It is related with the nervous system. It is related with the forces of Yod-Havah Elohim. 

Let us continue with the Zohar,

Here the word Vav-Yitzerah (וייצר Vav formed) is written with two “Yods” or I's, indicating that the Holy One formed him with two natures, the higher and lower self; the one divine, the other earthly, and impressed upon his form [in Yetzirah] the divine name, יוי - I V I 

Here we find two Yods and one Vav in the word Yetzirah, or Yetzer. When we see the two Yods on each side of the letter Vav, which symbolizes Adam, we understand that they are talking about the Yod in Kether and the Yod in Malkuth, the duality. 

יוי expressed by the two eyes [two Yods] and the nose [the יוי Vav, Adam] between them, thus: The numerical value of the letters [which also form the shape of the letter - א - Aleph] is 26, which is also that of the divine name יהוה. It is on this account that scripture saith: "From the top of the rocks [צרים zurim] I shall see Him" (Numbers 23: 9). The word צרים zurim (rocks) denotes also forms [צרים Tzerim], so that Balaam who uttered these words, meant that in viewing the [צרים Tzerim] forms of Israel [from the מ Mem, the top of the rocks or beginning of the word מצרים - Mizrahim – Egypt; in other words, from the top of the waters - מ Mem - in Yesod, in the world of - צרים Tzerim - formations], he beheld and recognized [in Assiah] the divine name [יהוה 26].

The initiate, represented by Adam, when entering into the world of Yetzirah (called “the second mountain” in Gnostic terms), has to do the work through Vav in order to unite all the parts of Adam, all the parts of Israel, who are dispersed into the ego. His duty is to comprehend and annihilate the ego and to unite all the parts of the Being. Balaam symbolizes the opposition that makes this work difficult for us, which is the ego.

Another comparison of Israel [Tiphereth – the Vav] with this divine name is in the two tables of stone containing the law and representing two Iods, the letter Vav symbolizing [Moses and] what is written on them. [Aleph in אדם] Adam [the Vav] also in himself represents the union and blending together of the higher and lower Shekhinahs, symbolized by the repeating of the Shema: [Hear, Israel: יהוה is our Elohim; יהוה is one] morning and evening. – Zohar

The Shema is a prayer that orthodox Jews perform in the morning and the evening. When we read the phrase in the book of Genesis:

and there was evening and there was morning; one day 

We alchemically explain this, saying that the union of the positive יון ion with the negative יון ion makes a balance. The female יון ion is the passive force and the male יון ion is the active force. United in the sexual act, they awaken the neutral force, which is the Kundalini. The final Nun balances the two opposites, Zayin and Vav, the two tablets of the law. The man is one tablet and the woman is the other tablet. They are the two Yods on top of the letters Zayin and Vav. What is written on them relates to their spinal columns. They are two forces. Those two ions, united, make a perfect, balanced atom, or microcosmos. That is why the Zohar mentions the higher and lower Shekinahs. They are related with the man and the woman, the two forces that awaken the Kundalini or final Nun. 

The Zohar continues:

The union of the two [upper and lower] natures [of - א - Aleph] in Adam [the Vav, spinal medulla] is also referred to in the words, "Bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh" (Genesis 2:23). 

When it says “bone of my bone,” it is referring to Chesed, which is the very depth of our body. Physically speaking, the bone is inside the flesh. The flesh itself is Geburah, before it descends into Malkuth to make the body. 

We also read that Elohim planted Adam, that is, Israel [Tiphereth, the Vav], in the sacred garden of Eden, as it is written, "And אלהים יהוה took Ha-Adam and put him in the garden of Eden" (Genesis 2:15) Iod-Havah Elohim; that is, the heavenly father and mother. - Zohar

Regarding Binah, the heavenly father and mother, Iod-havah Elohim (אלהים יהוה), remember that Yod-Hei-Vav-Hei symbolizes phallus/uterus/man/woman, or brain /Kether heart/Tiphereth and male-female/genitals in Yesod. When we read that Elohim planted Adam in the garden of Eden, the word Eden here means “voluptuousness,” which means “giving pleasure to the senses.” Therefore, when a man enters a woman in the sexual act, Yod-Havah Elohim is planting Adam in the garden of Eden; sex is the Garden of Eden. This is why the word Eden ends with a letter Nun final. The Zohar says that Adam is Israel, because Israel and Adam symbolize the same thing. 

"Garden," means the lower Shekhinah [Malkuth]; "in Eden,”[Yesod, sex] the heavenly mother; "Ha-Adam," the middle column [central nervous system] of the sephirotic tree; [which bottom is Yesod] from which was formed [Malkuth] his wife, and who being his [Eden עדן] delight should never be separated from him. - Zohar

Here the Zohar addresses the middle column of the Tree of Life. The middle column is formed by the sephiroth Kether, Tiphereth, Yesod, and Malkuth. Malkuth is the wife, because the brain is Adam, and the lower nature located below is Chavah. Recall that Chavah means “life,” or Eve, the “mother of the living.” The spinal medulla represents the positive and negative aspects of the androgynous Adam, prior to the separation of the sexes. This is how we have to see it; man and wife, together in one body. We spoke about this in the lectures about the first, second, and third races, before the division of sexes. 

It was then that the Holy One planted Israel [in the heart of Malkuth], who are the [the right and left] holy branches [or coronary arteries] of the [microcosmic] world [his physicality], or, in other words, a race purer and better than those that had formerly existed; as it is written, "The branch of my planting, the work of my [Yads] hands, that I may be glorified" (Isaiah 60: 21). 

This passage talks about the work of alchemy that Jehovah Elohim is doing with the two branches: Ida and Pingala (or the two Vavs in each side of the spinal column.)

"And out of the ground made יהוה אלהים to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food" (Genesis 2: 9). " יהוה אלהים denoting the celestial father and mother; 

Some people think that Jehovah Elohim, called Jehovah, God is male. No. The word in itself denotes father and mother.

"every tree that is pleasant to the sight," the Just;,"

The just are the people that are working alchemically, not those who pretend to be good. Be like Joseph, who defeated the temptation of the wife of Potiphar. He defeated temptation because he was chaste. To be just is to be chaste. Obviously, those who is chaste are “trees pleasant to the sight.” But the fornicators, who are eating of the forbidden fruit, are the opposite, they are not pleasant to the eyes of God. The just are those who are planted in the garden of Eden, that is, planted in the sexual act by Yod-Havah Elohim.

“and good for food” the middle column consisting of the sephiroth Kether, Tiphereth, Yesod, Malkuth, 

Here we should also include the sephirah Daath, which is at the level of the throat. Daath, “knowledge,” is something we can develop, the Logos by which we can communicate. 

…and from which proceed those stores of [solar] food by which the righteous are sustained and which, when mankind [better said, initiates] become purified and enlightened, will contribute to the life of the world. Then will every one [who is purified and enlightened] take of the Tree of Life in the midst of the garden, and eat and live for ever more. - Genesis 3:22 – Zohar

This happens when we know how to do the sexual alchemical work. Then will each of us have his/her own particular Adam in their spinal column. Such will be the Adam, created in the image of Elohim, by means of the awakening of the fire and the light of the Kundalini, the fire and the light of the Shekinah. Before such awakening our Vav or serpent is in darkness. This is why it is written: 

Vav, the earth [the lower Shekinah] was formless, Vav void, Vav darkness, was upon the face of [Yesod] the abyss. Vav the Spirit of Elohim hovered upon the face of the waters. - Genesis 1:2

Vav, the Spirit of Elohim, must create light within each one of us by sublimating the Prana upon the face of the inferior and superior waters; in other words, from Yesod, the foundation of the middle column, ויאמר אלהים -Vav-Elohim will say - יהי־אור Yehe Aur - “let light be.” Vav-Shekinah when rising as light through the middle column, will say, ויהי־אור Ve-Yehe Aur “Vav is light.” 

"Let light be – Yehe Aur יהי־אור ." Now the word Yehe is composed of three letters, Yod, Hei, Yod. Yod being the first and third letter and Hei coming between them. The Yod represents the male and the female principle. The full word is therefore a symbol of the divine Father and Mother, the final Yod being the same as the first in order to show that all the three aspects or forms as stated, under which the Hei, the Ain Soph, operated in the creation and production of the universe, were only the manifestations of one and the same divine Being..... 

Wherever in the Scripture this word Yehe (let there be) is used, it refers to or signifies this divine light [or Yod], both in this world [Malkuth] and the world to come [Kether]. - Zohar

Observe that ויהי Ve-Yehe has the letter Vav. This is because ויהי־אור Ve-Yehe Aur IS Vav, the winged serpent of light.

According to what we have stated, we must understand that there are three vavs or three serpents: the central, the right, and the left. Nun final, the central Vav is “and Elohim said,” or “Vav Elohim said.” That vav is the serpent of light, which is neutral. It is the serpent that creates. To control the light, you have to create, and vice versa. This is why we always state that in order to create "Spiritually" we have to awaken the serpent in the middle. In order to awaken that serpent in the middle, we have to associate the two serpents: good and evil, od and obd. This is how we create Aur, light. 

In the next graphic we see the two serpents [on the left and right sides] with one in the middle representing the letter Vav or Nun final. This is why Master Jesus or Jeshua the son of נון Nun said, “Be wise as serpents and meek as Jonah,” this means that we must control the two serpents of the Caduceus of Hermes the Wise in order to open the wings of Jonah, which is what he performed. Some people say “I am wise now, very smart like a serpent and I am meek as a dove.” But what they are is a generation of vipers, and not meek but hypocrites. To “be meek” means to be three days and three nights in the belly of the big fish. This is what to be a Jonah, a dove means, alchemically speaking. 

When ophidiophobian people read about the snake in the bible they do not understand it, because they erroneously think that the serpent is a symbol of evil. No. The serpent itself is a symbol of good, evil, and — in the middle — light. It depends on how we use the Chaioth. Recall that Chaioth means “beasts” but it also means lives (in the feminine plural aspect). These are the חיים Chaiim: lives that we have in our spinal column, the three nervous systems: central nervous system, parasympathetic nervous system, and the grand sympathetic nervous system. These are the three serpents or energies that writhe everywhere in the nervous systems of the body. We need to control them. 

Let us continue with the Zohar, because the Zohar brings light into the Bible. Otherwise we are just reading stories and legends. 

It is further written, 'And He drove out the man' (Genesis 3: 24). We do not know who drove him out, nor who it was that was driven out, whether the Holy One or not. The words are 'vaigaresh ath' (and he drove out ath). Who was this He? The scripture says 'ha-adam' (the man). After sinning it was Adam who drove out here below who is here called 'ath.'

Therefore scripture first informs us the Lord God drove Adam from out of the garden of Eden, as he had already driven away the 'ath' (the Holy Spirit or Higher Self) when Eden became closed to him, and the path leading to it obliterated or hidden. Scripture, moreover, states, 'and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden, Cherubim and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep the way of the Tree of Life.' 

Literally it is written: “Vav, 'Iod' expelled 'Ath' Ha-Adam;” the entire verse means: Vav caused 'Iod' that contains 'Ath' the tabernacle of Ha-Adam, Tiphereth, who is at the east of Yesod, the garden of Eden, and set the cherubim and the flame of the sword to be inverted in order to preserve 'Ath' the way of the Tree of Life. This is what we see in Genesis 3:24, alchemically speaking. 

If we do not know how to read Genesis 3:24 alchemically, we will say, And he expelled the man and put, in the east of the garden of Eden, cherubim and a flaming sword, to guard the way to the Tree of Life. This is how it is written in many translations. But the way we have translated the former verse here, is the alchemical and kabbalistic way.

“Vav expelled ‘Iod’ ויגרש.” Which of the three Vav in this verse drove the Yod out? The left one indeed, because the left is the one that goes down into Malkuth and even further down into Klipoth. 

When we experience the orgasm, the spasm, of the animals (Chaioth) then the solar forces of our brain (the Yod, is the brain of ha-Adam, the man) are expelled out of our system. So Vav, the left serpent that enjoys the bestial sexual act with orgasm, causes the tabernacle of the East, which is Tiphereth [the human soul], and the flaming sword, which develops in the spinal column, and that from Yesod-sex gives life and power to Kether-brain, to be inverted. The Yod is the flame that glows upon our head when we are chaste. But when we fornicate, we expell that Yod (which contains also what we called את Ath, the word, Aleph and Tav, Alpha and Omega, beginning and ending). So through the animal orgasm everything becomes inverted, and the fire goes down into Klipoth. Thus, for the fornicators, that Ath את which is the power of the word, remains guarded by the Cherubim or Lucifer, the fire of their own passion, which in the sexual act turns every way as a flaming sword, to preserve Ath את, the Word, the way of the Tree of Life. 

Ath את, the third Logos, is guarded, because the electricity of the Third Logos that from Yesod to Daath - the Garden of Eden - was giving light, understanding, and wisdom to our brain through our spinal medulla, through our David – דוד David means boiler - became inverted. It inverted when we fornicated. In other words, the electric shock of passion, of the orgasm, caused a short circuit that inverted the electric current of the Third Logos; because of the orgasm, because of that short-circuit, the electricity went down from the Kanda and formed a buffer. Kanda (Sanskrit) is situated between the anus and the root of the reproductive organs, Kanda contains the prana or astral electric light. Kanda is the root of the word Kanda-buffer, or Kundabuffer. 

The Kundabuffer is a Klipothic buffer formed by the absorption of an electric shock caused by a short circuit in the Kanda during sexual activity; that short circuit occurs between the anus and the genitalia, and is caused by the spasm or animal orgasm or desire. So, animal passion is precisely what removed Ath את, the word, out of the Tree of Life, our spinal column. If Ath את, the Logos, penetrates again into the spinal column, then power and light [און ואור Aun Weor in Hebrew] will emerge again with knowledge of good and evil. 

Thus, when Adam and Eve experienced the orgasm in the sexual act, the flaming sword that was going up in their spine turned down and became the tail of Satan, which is the Kundabuffer, the outcome of passion in the sexual act. The flame of passion turns every way within our body, within our nervous systems; this is how they felt the devouring fire of the Cherub Lucifer. 

When husband and wife cannot control the fire of Lucifer, they reach the orgasm of the beasts and therefore their Ath את is kept out of their Tree of Life or spinal column. If husband and wife control the fire of Lucifer, then Ath את, Alpha and Omega, Christ, penetrates again as power and light [און ואור Aun Weor in Hebrew] AND goes up again throughout the 33 vertebrae of their spine. When this happens, husband and wife become “wise as a serpents,” and if they want to be meek as Jonah, they have to perform the Great Work in three days and three nights. So, it is not just doing the sexual alchemical transmutation, because the lord Jesus said:

Be ye therefore wise as serpents and meek as a dove [יונה Jonah]... For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a big fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. - Matthew, chapter 10, verse 16 and chapter 12, verse 40

These three days and nights are three alchemical steps. These are not days of twenty-four hours but three alchemical works that culminate at the summit of the Second Mountain or Mountain of Resurrection. The Zohar said,

We do not know who drove him [Ath] out, nor who it was [Who in Hebrew is אשר Asher - the Holy Spirit] that was driven out, whether the Holy One [Asher – אשר, who is the third Logos] the Holy Spirit or not? - Zohar

Of course. “Who” is the holy spirit, which is called Asher. When Moses stood before God and heard him say “Ehieh asher ehieh, I am who, who is.” Asher is “who.” So when we read the word “who” in the Zohar, it refers to the Holy One who was expelled by Adam through the orgasm. Of course Ath is the very essence of God in Yesod, sex, who is also Ath, the word, alpha and omega, Christ. 

And who expelled Ath?

The words are ‘va-i-garesh ath' (Vav ‘Yod’ expelled ath). Who was this ‘Yod’? The scripture says ‘ha-adam' (the man - the Brain, the head – Rosh ראש.)- Zohar

When you are in the sexual act and experience the sexual orgasm, through it you are expelling Yod, Ath, out of your central nervous system, thus, the one that receives the punishment is your brain. Anyone who studies endocrinology knows very well that the sexual hormones nourish the brain and the pineal gland. This is why the more you transmute the sexual energy, the wiser you become. Your pineal gland becomes active and your brain as well. But if you masturbate, you degenerate your brain. The punishment of masturbation is idiocy that you, yourself, create in your brain. No one else does it to you; you do it to yourself. You are prostituting your own Elohim. When you are committing adultery, you are doing the same thing. There is no one outside who is going to punish you because the energy which is inside of you does it. It is up to you, what you do with it. It is not a matter of believing; it is a matter of doing. Assiah: matter in action.

After sinning it was Adam [the Brain, the head - Rosh ראש] who [through Iod] expelled here below [through the orgasm] who is here called ‘את - ath’ the third Logos, the Holy Spirit “Asher”-[אשר].

Therefore scripture first informs us that the Lord God [Iod-Havah Elohim - Binah] expelled Adam from out of [Daath] the [upper] garden of עדן Eden as he had already driven away [from himself] the 'ath' (the Holy Spirit or Higher Self)... - Zohar

The union of Adam, the brain with Havah-Eve, the sexual creative forces, is done through ion, the three logoic forces that sprout from Yesod throughout the spinal column. When Ha-Adam, the man fornicated, obviously, the three forces ejected Tiphereth, the human soul out of that union, as the Zohar explains,

The Lord God [Iod-Havah Elohim - Binah] expelled Adam from out of [Daath] the [upper] garden of עדן Eden [through the 'Vav" the central column of the Tree of Life], as Adam had already expelled here below [through his "Iod," in the lower garden of עדן Eden - Yesod] the 'את - ath’ (the third Logos, the Holy Spirit or Substance Christ, contained within the "ן Final Nun" of עדן Eden) when [the Upper] Eden became closed to him, and the path leading to it obliterated or hidden. - Zohar

So, how did we as souls expel ourselves from Eden? It was through fornication, and still we continue to expel ourselves. It is not that God said, “Get out of here because you did not obey my commandments.” God was within us. Thus, if we as souls fornicate, we as souls are expelling ourselves out by our own actions. That is why the Zohar says, “Who expelled who?” God expelled us, yes, but because we expelled him first, because God is the sexual force, the creative force of the Holy Spirit. If we expel God from within ourselves, then God says, “Ok, because you are expelling me, I expel you too. If you obey me and welcome me within you then I welcome you within me.” There are two wills here, so do not blame God’s will for your misery, blame your will because you are the one who caused it. If you obey, God will bless you. God’s blessing comes from within, it does not come from a God externally but from the Holy Spirit, the creative energies of Elohim within.

“And Elohim said” JAH יה abides within אלהים Elohim, thus, Elohim in synthesis is יה JAH. When we say הללו־יה Hallelu-JAH, we are praising JAH יה. JAH is written with Yod and Hei; Yod is the father, Hei is the mother, Hallelujah הללו־יה, praise JAH יה. The letter Yod and the letter Hei as father-mother, as JAH יה abide within the word אלהים Elohim. El אל (God) and Elah אלה (Goddess) unite their ים Yam (waters) in Daath, in the area at the level of the throat, AND they do it thanks to Vav, the spinal medulla. Thus, in Daath, the area at the level of the throat is where god (El אל) and goddess (Elah אלה) thanks to their creative waters (ים Yam ) become Elohim by means of sexual alchemy;“And Elohim saidהללו־יה Hallelu-JAH.” 

And Elohim said, Let us make Adam in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. - Genesis 1: 26

In Daath we receive the forces of ים Yam, the waters from Yesod through the Vav, the spinal column, AND this is how we develop knowledge. Daath means knowledge in Hebrew, and Gnosis in Greek. When the Vav, the spinal column hooks the “D” of Daath with the “D” of Yesod, we call that union דוד David, the alchemical boiler. Thus, Daath is the “D” of אדם Adam that in the boiler of alchemy unites the “A” of אב Aba, the Father, the King, Kether, the Image, with the “M” of מלכה Malkah, the mother, the Queen, the Likeness, Malkuth AND this is how Adam acquires dominion over the four elements of the earth. 

We are associating Daath with Hermes because Hermes is associated with the word, with wisdom. Mercury is the planet that has its orbit located closest to the Sun. It is so close to the Sun that many great masters say Mercury and the Sun are one: the word. This is what we must comprehend and analyze when we study alchemy. Hermes Trismegistus is represented here by the caduceus of Mercury with the two serpents, and he in the middle with one serpent entwined around him. Hermes represents the one who becomes wise as serpents.

Vav [Ida, the left side serpent] caused the tabernacle from [Tiphereth] the East of [Daath] the [Upper] Garden of Eden [את-At] the [two] Cherubim [one in Daath, the other in Yesod, the Lower Eden] AND the flame of [את-At] the sword, to be inverted [towards Klipoth]; in order to keep [את-At] the way of the tree of lives. - Genesis 3: 24 

So, in other words, fornicators live inverted in Klipoth. Kabbalistically speaking, Klipoth is hell. People are afraid of doing bad things because if they do bad things, because they think that if they do bad things they will go to hell. We are stating that we are already in hell. We have to stop doing evil things (which relate with Ida) in order to get out of Klipoth, out of hell. If we do not do that, then we will sink further into the inner layers or spheres of Klipoth, the lower shells. That is why in the biblical book of Revelation, we read,

I am [the Logos] Alpha and Omega [Hebrew 'את - ATH’], the beginning and the ending, says-את the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty [El-Shaddai in Yesod].

I [Hermes, Iohannes, Iouames, Ion, John] was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me [in my central nervous system] a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto [Iouames] the seven churches [chakras] which are in [the world of action] Assiah [spinal medulla]; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

And when I saw him, I fell at [Malkuth] his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand [the positive force of Pingala] upon me, saying unto me, ‘Fear not; I am ath’ [את] the first and the last [hebrew letters]: I am he that lives, and was dead [by the fornicator Amalekites]; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (Revelation 1: 8-11, 17, 18)

If you are an alchemist then you know what you are reading, you know that the Lord is the great voice or Logos behind you, within Vav, your spinal column. He has the keys of hell and of death because he already conquered your left side. We have to unite his will with our will; working together in order to defeat the negative aspect within us. 

Let us continue studying the Zohar, in order to go deeper into this subject. When people read this in the Zohar, I wonder if they understand what they are reading. 

"Hear what the scripture says when Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the tree by which death [Klipoth] entered into [Nephesh] their souls or lower nature:

'And when they heard [את-At] the voice [the Logos] of the Lord of the Elohim walking in the garden [central nervous system]'; or as it ought to be rendered, [And when they heard that (את-At, the Logos) the voice of the Lord of the Elohim] had walked (מתהלך – mithhalech) [out of the 'garden' – their central nervous system]. (Genesis 3:8)

One has to wonder: Who is “the voice of the Lord of the Elohim?” as it was written by the writers of Zohar? We have to state that את-At, the Logos, is the voice of [יהוה] the Lord of the Elohim. In a previous lecture we stated that in the time of Lemuria, when the souls of the animal kingdom were ready to enter into the humanoid kingdom, those Lemurians who were androgynous and united with their Beings, started giving physical bodies to those souls of the animal kingdom which were already evolved spiritually to the level where they were able to enter into that physical human level. So obviously, when a soul receives a body of that nature, it is connected to the Elohim because all of them were bodhisattvas of perfection. For example, when you become a child of a great master, your body is connected to the Elohim of that master because the sperm of that master is chaste. Then, through that master, you can perfect yourself, if you follow his directions. 

However, when those human bodies were divided into two sexes, the souls committed fornication through them; or as Genesis states, they ate of the fruit that the Elohim commanded them not to eat. The Elohim said: “As an inheritance I will give you a body like a garden to dress it and to keep it. Listen, I am a chaste soul yet you are coming from the animal kingdom. So therefore follow this: as a soul, you may freely feed of the fruit of every system of your body, but of your generative system, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shalt not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof as a beast you shalt surely die. You will then not enter into the Tree of Life.” 

So the souls of the animal kingdom who were obeying that commandment entered into the Tree of Life. But the souls that followed their animal instincts did not conquer the temptations of the serpent of the left side, thus they fell into temptation and lost that purity.

Note further that whilst Adam had not fallen, he was a recipient of divine wisdom (Chokmah) and heavenly light and derived his continuous existence from the Tree of Life to which he had free access, but as soon as he allowed himself to be seduced and deluded with the desire of occult knowledge [better said, seduced and deluded by animal desire or evil, the dark aspect of Daath], he lost everything, heavenly light and life through the disjunction of his higher and lower self, and, the loss of that harmony that should always exist between them, in short, he then first knew what evil was and what it entailed, and, therefore, it is written: 

'Thou art not a God that approveth wickedness, neither shall evil dwell with thee' (Isaiah 5:5); or, in other words, he who implicitly and blindly follows the dictates of his lower nature or self shall not come near the Tree of Life. - Zohar

In other words, the souls who follow animal desire or craving for the sensation of the orgasm - like the souls of beasts - will never eat the fruits of the Tree of Life, their spinal column, because they are ejaculating the only force that could allow them to enter in. 

Whilst the protoplasts had not as yet lost their innocence and purity, they heard within themselves the voice divine, the voice out of the Great Silence. Guided and directed by divine wisdom, they walked and lived in the divine light and were not afraid.

As soon, however, as they succumbed to temptation, they lapsed into a state of sin, of sorrow and shame and found that though the voice was still audible, they could not endure to hear it; and the sense of sin pervaded and prevailed throughout the world up to the time when Israel [Tiphereth] stood at the foot [Yesod] of Mount Sinai, purified from all defilement and thus able to become conjoined with the Tree of Life, and partook of its fruits, beholding the celestial glory.

They ascended higher and higher in the divine life [of the Tree of Life], and lived in the enjoyment of the Beatific Vision being filled with that interior peace and tranquillity known and experienced only by those who understand the mysteries of the higher and divine life. - Zohar

Here the Zohar kabbalistically explains the fall and exile of Adam and Eve from Eden as it is explained in the book of Genesis, and associate this with the evacuation of Israel as it is explained in the book of Exodus. Adam and Israel symbolize the same soul. First, in the book of Genesis, Moses explains in a very cryptic and alchemical manner the exile or pilgrimage of Israel or בראשית - the Son-Souls בר-אישית Bar-Ishith - into Mitzrahim-Egypt. Thereafter, in the book of Exodus, he explains how בר Bar, the Son, the אישית Ishoth and אישים Ishim souls of Israel escape from her imprisonment in Mitzrahim-Egypt, in order to resurrect into her lost pristine condition and thus return into Eden, the Promised Land. As it is written:

And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh: Thus saith יהוה Yod-Havah, Israel is my son, even [בראשית - the Son-Souls בר-אישית Bar-Ishoth] my firstborn: And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn. - Exodus 4: 22, 23

Yet, there were many אישית Ishoth souls that fell again into Klipoth, despite the fact they were doing their alchemical work. But because of lust, pride and greed, they went astray from the path and failed, they did not become אישים Ishim. 

In other words, Bereshith, in the beginning, or better said, as it is written in Genesis 49: 3 Vereshith Aun -וראשית און, that is, by "Vav" the power of the beginning, when our archetypes or souls of Israel enter for the first time into the path, they have many experiences, they see spiritual things in the internal planes, and experience communion with their own God. But if they are not aware of their ego, sooner or later as Reuben [ראובן better said Aur-Ben אורבן son of light] they fail and lose their birthright, they become defeated by the negative serpent that is called Kundabuffer. When Ida descends down into hell through lust, pride and greed, etc., we develop the Kundabuffer organ, called the tail of Satan; the klipothic egos that we have to disintegrate are the consequences of that tail. We have many psychological elements that we have to defeat. If we do not do it then we lose the enlightenment that we are receiving through the alchemical work that we are performing. If we defeat all temptations then we will enter into the Tree of Life and live forever. That is precisely the goal. Indeed, this is a great work of transformation, meditation, and comprehension that we have to do within ourselves.

With patience, you will possess your souls

With willpower, little by little we will gather אישית Ishoth, all the archetypes of Israel, which are all of the parts of Bar-בר, the Son incarnated in the causal body, Tiphereth, or what alchemically is call Moses Zabaoth. In this way we advance in the exodus. 

Listen, the pharoah and his people who want to prevent us from entering into the higher levels of the Tree of Life are inside of us in Mitzrahim-Egypt, our physicality; they are not outside. If we do not defeat them inside, then we can never defeat them outside.

Malkuth is Mitzrahim-Egypt in the symbol of the Tree of Life. When we work here in Malkuth, which is also the world of Assiah, matter and action, when we raise all the forces of Malkuth to the heart and beyond through the central column of the Tree of Life, then we create the star of David, with Malkuth in the middle of it. When Malkuth is in the middle of the six pointed star then we acquire immortality. In this way, we live forever because we have placed all the lower forces of Malkuth up in Daath, above Geburah and Chesed. This is done through sexual transmutation. This is how we have to purify ourselves, this is how we acquire immortality. It is not only because we have conquered the physical body and know how to transmute the sexual energy that we are going to be immortal. Yes, immortality demands chastity, first of all, and secondly, the complete annihilation of the bestial elements of the ego: lust, anger, greed, envy, gluttony, laziness, pride, etcetera.

Above the star of David, is always Kether, Chokmah, and Binah; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The star of David is the symbol of the true human being. 

Let us now study the letters Yod, Hei, Vav, Hei, the holy name of God. Yod is the brain; Vav is the spinal medulla, and what is the letter Hei? The letter Hei has somehow the same shape of the letter Chet (in Hebrew Chet חית spells the word for “animals,” and also spells the feminine plural of חי life) we see the letter Vav forming the right side of the shape of the letter Chet and the letter Zayin forming its left side; both Vav and Zayin have the letter Yod as head and the rest of them, that is, the left and right vertical lines forming, each, the shape of the spinal medulla. The letter Hei shows the same shape, yet the left vertical line has a gap between the head and spinal medulla. Therefore, Zayin is at the left of the shape of the letter Hei; Zayin projects down the feminine medulla of the Yod [the Head], that left vertical line is showing us that the left, the feminine, always emerges and detaches from the Yod, the masculine, the Vav at the right of it. So, the letter Zayin at the left of the shape of the letter Hei represents the left rib or Eve, and the letter Vav at the right of it, the right rib or Adam; in synthesis, the left vertical line of the letter letter Hei represents the spinal medulla of the woman detached from the head of God, the Yod that represents Kether. Therefore, the second letter Hei of the Holy Name of God is polarized as masculine in the male physicality and feminine in the female physicality. Such is the letter Hei. 

Yod-Hei is JAH the father and mother united in Daath. Vav represents the head and spinal medulla of Adam, and his wife detached from him is the genitalia that is always represented by the second letter Hei of the Holy Name of God. Now we understand why it was written:

ולא תחמד אשת רעך

And (Vav) thou shalt not covet thy neighbor`s wife. - Deuteronomy 5: 21

In any single person, the second Hei of the Holy Name of God represents also Malkuth, their physical body, the outcome of their genitalia. Thus, our physical body, whether masculine or feminine, is Hei, the wife of Adam - the brain and spinal medulla. 

The letter Vav forms our head and spinal medulla, and in the throat, in Daath, we find Yod-Hei, JAH, father-mother united. As individuals, this is how we are constituted when we are working alchemically; thus, when the priest and the priestess are sexually connected they form the letter Chet, the androgynous Adam. The letter Hei contains the shape of Eve detached from Adam, and the letter Chet contains the shape of the androgynous Adam, this is how Adam was when he was created male-female, when he was androgynous. Remember that it is written: 

Therefore shall a man [the Vav] leave [Yod-Hei] his father and his mother [in Daath], and [in Yesod] shall [Vav] cleave unto his wife [the second Hei]: and they shall be one [Yod-Hei-Vav-Hei in the] flesh. - Genesis 2: 24 

How can Adam, which symbolizes the spinal medulla in the middle, abandon Yod-Hei, father-mother, and become one flesh with his wife? When the division of sexes occurred, then the masculine aspect of the androgynous Adam became Pingala, the positive solar force at the right of the Tree of Life. His wife became Chavah, Eve, Ida the left side. So this is why it is written, Adam (the androgyne of the spinal medulla) will leave father and mother [divine androgyne] and go to the right. And in order to return to his father and mother or divine androgyne, he has to unite to to the left side, his wife, in Yesod. Being united to the left side, he becomes below like his father and mother above, having wisdom and understanding: Jehovah Elohim. This is how we understand it from an alchemical perspective. When we read Genesis 2: 24 literally, we then think that the man will leave his physical father and mother and make a new home with his wife and thereafter they will have sex and become one flesh. This is what we literally see, yet the alchemical meaning is different. 

Alchemically, Yod, Kether, your head is Adam. Vav, your heart, Tiphereth, is also Adam. The power of Adam is in Yesod, which is represented by a final Nun. The three primary forces are represented in the letters Iod, Vav and final Nun, which spell יון Ion, meaning, head, heart and sex of John. When you as Adam as John יון Ion want to improve spiritually, to advance in your spiritual development through your path, your spinal medulla, you have then to leave Kether the top of the middle column, who as father and mother, as JAH controlled Daath; and thus as Adam you become polarized as Pingala under the rule of Chokmah. When you have become polarized as Pingala, the sun, then you need the moon, Ida, which is Eve under the rule of Binah. Then by sexually uniting with her, you become one flesh and return to work as וה Va in Yesod, the bottom of the the middle column in order to return again to Kether, the top of the middle column. This is how we understand that statement in the Bible. 

Let us continue with the Zohar:

The Holy One protected them (Adam and Eve) by impressing upon them (Yod-Havah) his divine name, so that the spirit of evil (Lilith and Nahemah) was unable to exercise power and influence over them and thus corrupt them.

Thus they lived, pure and protected, until they bowed down and worshipped (through the orgasm) the golden calf. [The materialistic forces of Malkuth] Then fell they from their high estate and lost the divine protection which was as a cuirass or protective armor against the assaults of evil that now again acquired power over them and brought death [klipoth] unto their souls. 

Hermes Mercury is protected by two forces, Sun and Moon, Father and Mother in Daath. When we are practicing chastity, we develop a cuirass or armor in the vital body, which is the superior part of the physical body. That armor gives to a resurrected master access to at least one thousand years of life, physically speaking. So, any master after resurrection, after qualifying the 8th Venustic Initiation, enters into the sephirah Binah, and acquires immortality, thanks to that special protection that Binah - as father and mother - gives in Yesod to his vital body. This is how a Resurrected Master acquires immortality.

Some people enter into these studies and they think that because they are practicing sexual magic, they are immortal and that they will not die. No, they will die. If you want to resurrect, you have to die, that is if you take the middle path, the direct path. This, if you as a wiser serpent acquire the three days and three nights of Jonah, the dove; then on the top of the second mountain, the mountain of resurrection, you acquire at least a thousand years of immortality. Every thousand years you can ask your father and mother for more protection. In that way, we find masters who have lived for millions of years with the same physical body. They are resurrected masters. In this doctrine of Gnosis, in the present day and age, the only master that acquired such cuirass is the Master Samael Aun Weor, in 1978. He acquired that protection in his vital body. Now, the physical body that he has is immortal. The body that he had [before 1977] was disintegrated completely because it was a body of sin, as our body is. Ordinary people do not understand this. 

People ask, “How could the master Samael Aun Weor get sick and die if he was a master?” Simple, he got sick and died because in 1977 he was not yet a resurrected master. 

I personally asked him this question when I was teaching in the north of Mexico, I think it was in 1976. At that time, we were collecting money in order to pay for his airplane ticket. We said, “Venerable Master, we, the brothers and sisters of this Gnostic school, already collected enough money for your airplane ticket.” 

He answered, “I don’t travel alone, I always travel with the Master Litelantes.” 

“Oh, I understand Master. So we need to buy a flying ticket also for the Venerable Master Litelantes.” 

So we collected some more money and finally brought them to the North of Mexico in order for them to teach. At that time, he was very active. Afterwards, I took the opportunity to ask him, “Master, why is there always the trouble of asking the missionaries to collect money for you to come in an airplane? I understand that coming by land is very tiring. Why don’t you come in the Jinn State? Both of you are skillful in that. Come here and teach and leave, and then we don’t need to collect money.” 

He replied, “Well, a master that does that is a resurrected master. I am not a resurrected master yet. Next year 1978, I will reach that level. But right now, the Master Litelantes and I need to travel in an airplane. I am not yet as like the Count of Saint Germain or Faust. They can do that because they are resurrected masters. They can disappear over there and appear here. But we are following the rules of the Jinn State. If we enter here in the fourth dimension, we have to get out here, in the same place where we entered. That is the law. A resurrected master has control over that law.” 

A master who has that protective armor in their vital body displays it in their physical body, which retains a youthful aspect, same age, immortal. But the rest of us are not resurrected masters, we get old and die. Thus, in order to acquire such immortality we have to be faithful unto death, this, in order to receive the crown of life (Revelation 2: 10), because with the crown of life is how we collect all of the archetypes of Israel. Yes, through psychological death on the cross is how we collect all the parts of Israel in us in order to rise up and resurrect on the summit of the second mountain, this is how we perform the great alchemical work. Nevertheless, Master Samael already warned us from the Sacred Island:

We know that all of those “super-transcended” people of Spiritualism, Theosophy, Rosicrucianism, etc. are puffed up with such pride that they believe that everything in life is as easy as blowing hot glass in order to make bottles.

Therefore, it will not surprise us if they will profane the revelations of this book by boasting of being “super-transcended” and alleging that they are also receiving the Crown of Life. Yes, these abusers will now increase in number everywhere, and the “Christs” will appear in bunches, a kind of “super-crowned” harvesting.

So, beware, “For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”

"Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." - Mark 13: 22, 5, 6

Moreover, false Christs will appear even within the Gnostic Movement. There will not be a single medium-chaneller from spiritualism without the mania of boasting of having received the Crown of Life.

Let us continue with the Zohar, since this lecture is especially for those people that like and follow the word of the Bible. 

After their fall, scripture informs us, 'and when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, his face shone radiant with light, and they were afraid to come nigh unto him (Exodus 34:30).

Before this, however, it is written, 'and Israel saw the mighty hand of the Lord'; that is, they were able by the purification of the lower nature and mental and spiritual illumination, to attain unto the Beatific Vision and view the splendor and glory of the life on high. And so it is further written, 'and the people saw the thunderings and lightnings, and the sound of the trumpet' (Exodus 20:13).

All these glories, however, departed from them after their lapse into sin, so that they could not even endure to behold and regard the luminous face of their intercessor Moses, for, as it is said, 'they were afraid to come nigh into him.' 

People think that literally they were coming from Egypt and going into Israel in the Middle East; listen, this is Kabbalah and Alchemy, it is something related with initiation. It is written in this way in order to mislead those fornicators that think, oh, they are talking about us.” People in every group here, whether it is Judaism or Christianity or Islam, they are always claiming that they are the people of Israel. They claim that God is preparing something special for them because they believe in what is written in the bible. No! The people of Israel are the archetypes that we have within. If we want to experience the exodus, we then have to work with our archetypes. The exodus is not a matter of following this or that group; the exodus is inside of us. It is an alchemical work that we have to perform with the archetypes of Israel. 

But first, Moses has to appear, because without Moses, how are we going to collect Israel? Somebody appears there saying, “I am the bodhisattva of Moses. Follow me. I am going to collect all of those parts.” No! Moses is willpower that we have to develop inside. Moses in his higher aspect represents the causal body. We have to develop the causal body, thus with Moses, with the will of God in us, as initiates, is how we collect all of the archetypes of Israel. 

But do not be afraid of the light of Moses, because that is the light of Christ. The Zohar explains all the mysteries of the Bible like that. When people see that light, they say, “This is too much work. We thought that by only believing in Jesus, we would be saved.” No. It is not like that; it is by fulfilling the law of God in us. 

Remark, now, what is further stated, 'and the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the Mount Horeb' (Exodus 33: 6), (Horeb here meaning Sinai). By which is signified, that Israel [Tiphereth], after sinning, became divested of their safeguards, the ornaments of purity and integrity, and thus fell under the power of evil.

So that, as is stated, 'Moses was compelled to take the tabernacle and set it up away without the camp and called it the Tabernacle of the Congregation' (Exodus 33: 7) for what reason.” – Zohar

For what reason? “What” is mah in Hebrew. It means “mother.” Because they prostituted mah, the mother, which is the sexual force. That was the reason. “Who” (in the pineal gland) saw that “what” (his wife) was prostituted by Israel, the heart. That is why in Samuel 2, we read, 

Vav arose, David's Vav walked, all people's Vav, [אשר אתו - Asher-Ath-Vav], from [Judah's sexual intercourse - מבעלי יהודה], they brought up thence the [את - ath] shrine of the Elohim; “Asher” is [מצח תפילין - Tephilin Metzach] the name that has been called the name of Iod- Havah Zabaoth [in Netzach of Atziluth ] inhabiting upon the cherubim [precisely, in their pineal gland]. - 2 Samuel 6: 2

They brought the forces of Asher up to their head through Vav. Asher is the name that has been given to Jehovah Zabaoth.

This is how we read that statement alchemically. When people read that, they imagine that a group of people take the shrine of the ark of the covenant and go up to a certain place with David. The name David means “boiler.” When in the sexual act you are boiling with fire, your spinal medulla is the boiler and Vav is the spinal medulla. 

When it says, “Vav arose,” it means the serpent that was fallen arose. Now it is in chastity. The energy of the kundalini arose little by little through the spinal column of all the people (Vav) who were with him, with that alchemical statement, with David, with the boiler, doing that alchemical work. 

From Baale of Judah מבעלי יהודהי, the forces of Yesod, they brought up thence the shrine of the Elohim Asher. To bring up that shrine, that ark, is to sublimate the energy up to the brain. This is precisely the tabernacle.

Elohim Asher is [תפילין מצח - Tephilin Metzach] the name given to Yod-Havah Zabaoth. Who is Yod-Havah Zabaoth? Yod-Havah Zabaoth is Netzach, the mind. Yod-Havah Zabaoth is in the brain; in the pineal gland. He is the Lord of hosts. Netzach is in the head, Hod is in the heart, and Yesod is in the sexual organs. This is how we see it. 

Elohim Asher is precisely upon the cherubim. Who are the cherubim? They are the man and the woman who are performing alchemy, sexual transmutation. They are chaste in the sexual act. Man and woman are representations of the two cherubim. Only between the cherubim, one can see the Ark of the Covenant and they open the way to the Tree of Life, which is our spinal medulla. 

Questions and Answers

Audience: One of those quotes from the Zohar that you read associated the phrase, and good for food, with the middle column of the Tree of Life; Kether, Tiphereth, and Yesod. Why are these good for food but not the left and right columns?

Instructor: Because the middle column unites the positive and negative forces of the androgyne. We can say that these are the three aspects of the Logos: the Father in the brain, the Son in Tiphereth, Yesod, the Holy Spirit, and Malkuth, the physical body. So when you are centered in your spinal column then you are eating the fruits which are, of course, the seven chakras or the seven churches mentioned in the book of Revelation. The five senses are united to the central nervous system and also to the other nervous systems that we have. Those are fruits that you develop and perfect. Having done that, you see things. You are not only seeing things physically but also things beyond the physical plane because you are in the middle; you are eating the fruits. Remember that the middle column is fed by Pingala and Ida. The only way to awaken that light in the middle is by performing sexual alchemy. 

When you are single, when you are working in yourself, then you have the enjoyment of eating of the Tree of Life because you are in chastity. That is celibacy but not ordinary celibacy because you are transmuting the sexual energy. In that way you can develop a certain degree of the Tree of Life because you are chaste. 

When you marry, every time you perform the sexual act, you automatically withdraw from the central column and become Pingala. Then you take your wife and become one flesh. Then the light in your central column and the central column of your wife becomes more enlightened; it has more energy. So then you are enjoying the fruits of the Tree of Life. You are eating it and you are enjoying it and developing knowledge. 

But if one time you unite with your wife and you reach the orgasm then that light descends from the center. That is why Jahovah Elohim said “from the fruit [the sperm and the ovum, the light that is in the sexual organs], you shall not eat. For in the day that you eat of it, you will die.” Death is the opposite of life. Your spinal column is the Tree of Life. Death is Klipoth. Then you enter into the world of Klipoth and you are dead. That’s why you shouldn’t eat from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. 

The only time you can eat from that tree is when you perform the sexual act. Because good is Pingala and evil is Ida; they are moon and sun united in order to make light. The evening and the morning make one day. In other words; the man and the woman, another day, another initiation. That is how we advance. 

This is the knowledge that was given to the Monads of the animal kingdom that were entering into the humanoid kingdom in the Lemurian times. If you do this, you will enjoy, but if you perform the sexual act as you were doing it in your animal level then you will not advance; you will become and inhabitant of Klipoth. When the Lemurians came to know that, they wanted to kill themselves. They said it was too difficult. Well, this is the path that all Monads pass when they transition from the animal kingdom into the human kingdom. 

Audience: The Lemurians were androgynous. And the animals were also both male and female. When a master completes the work and becomes a resurrected master, he or she becomes androgynous again. Does happen within themselves? Or do they merge with another of the opposite gender?

Instructor: When the master acquires immortality or resurrection, is it in a male or a female body… that is your question? It depends on which body they were in when they did the work. If you do the work with a male body, then you acquire immortality with that male body. After resurrection it is not a male body but an androgynous body with two polarities. But the male aspect is shown more clearly. Internally, you are androgynous but physically you are male. If you do it as a female then you become an immortal master with a female body. Joan of Arc for instance is an immortal female master. You can acquire immortality in either body. 

Audience: Regarding the androgynous Lemurians, when they split, it didn’t happen physically, they didn’t become two people, right?

Instructor: It happened physically through pregnancy. It happened, of course, through the centuries; sometimes they gave birth children with male bodies, other times with female bodies. 

Audience: So is there such thing as two people connected to the same monad?

Instructor: In the beginning, the Protoplasmic, Hyperborean, and Lemurian root races of the past were androgynous, meaning that their bodies were masculine and feminine. Andros is man. Genika is woman, in Greek. So when we say the word andro-genika: androgynous, we are talking about male and female in the same body. All of these individuals who were androgynous were masters, authentic human beings. But according to spiritual evolution, they were reaching the level in which the monads that were coming from the animal kingdom should enter into the humanoid kingdom in order to acquire that human level. The only way to enter there is by receiving bodies from these androgynes. So these androgynes became divided, as the Bible explains, Eve was taken out of Adam. They were divided into two sexes. In order to acquire the immortal androgyne, they have to do it through the sexual act. You can not do it by inheriting an androgynous body. That would be good right? Marvelous. You would get the body and it would just work. No. That’s why they separated. 

When they separated into male female, they through the sexual act without orgasm created bodies for the monads of the animal kingdom, which were already divided. According to the Bible, the animals were divided first, then the humans. So they already knew about division. When they received a female or male body, they already knew about it because it was like the bodies they had in the animal kingdom, except that now they were human bodies. So then they had to learn how to not reach the orgasm in order to reach the human level. Some of them said that it was too difficult and they ate of the fruit. Then they lost the opportunity. But there were also, at that level, Human Bodhisattvas that took advantage of the situation and also fell; these were what the Bible call the fallen angels. That is another story. Lemuria was a mixture of humanoids and humans. They are what the Bible calls Amalekites. They knew the teachings and were masters but then they fell and they fornicated with the daughters of Adam, which means that they were already divided into sexes. But after that, by knowing evil through fornication, those animal souls entered again into the path and acquired mastery. That is Seth, the third child of Adam and Eve. 

But understand that everything that is written in the Bible is in relation with your spinal column. Understand that the word Elohim means El and Elah, god and goddess, in the sea, the Yam, the waters that you have in your cerebrospinal fluid and your sexual fluid. That is Elohim within you. That is what we call gods and goddesses. It is a plural name; it is not singular. We have to understand also that the brain is masculine and the sexual center is feminine. This is why it is written that when Adam and Eve united, Adam said, this is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. Thus Adam will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and they will become one flesh. According to the Zohar, Adam said that to Eve. And Eve said, oh yeah? Yeah, we have to be one flesh in order to continue the work. And when they were united sexually, the snake that is related with the sexual act, which is Ida, the nadi that is connected to the lower sexual force of Yesod. Phallus and uterus, or vagina. When they were united, and they were feeling that delicious sensation of the sexual act, then (Vav) the serpent, who was wiser spoke to Eve: What is it what Jahovah Elohim, in your spinal column told you?

That we must not eat of the fruit in the sexual act, because if we eat we shall surely die.

Oh… you won’t die. Eat!

Vav, the serpent was not outside; it was inside of them, in both sexes. It tempted Eve, which is feminine. But Eve is not the brain; eve is the sexual center. Who created your body in her womb? Adam or Eve? It was Eve, right. You were in the womb of your mother nine months. So Eve works in the sexual organs. Everybody knows that. Adam is the brain. This is why it is stated that in the sexual act, Vav, the serpent, tempted Eve. They were tempted to eat of the fruit of the sexual act. You will not die. On the contrary, your eyes will open and you see what is good and what is evil. And they did it. Eve through the serpent, reached the orgasm, and immediately the brain received the information: oh, this is nice! So Adam also tasted the fruit from the sexual organ, Eve tasted it first. Then they realized that they were naked, and they said, oh, we are stupid. We didn’t know about this. Then they saw for themselves that they were naked, without solar vestures as the rest of human beings. Before as animals they were naked, without solar human vestures, they were ignorant of that, but they did not know, because as animals the monad do not need solar vestures. But now that they ate of the fruit with human bodies, they said, oh, this is the science of evil; this is bad. When the inner God inside of the spinal medulla was looking for them, they were hiding themselves, as the Zohar says. Did you eat of the fruit that I told you not to eat? Of course, God knows. And then we read the following part, the damnation and all of that. That has happened to all of us. But if we obey now, we will enter again into the path and eat of the fruit of the Tree of Life and live forever. 

Audience: I have two basic questions. One is practical and the other is more theoretical. 

You said that we have to unite as male and female. But then you also said that we have both genders within us; the male being the brain and the female being the sexual organ. It sounds to me like there would be a way to unite male and female within oneself without necessarily needing to unite sexually with a person of the opposite sex. Could you please speak on that in a practical manner?

An even more practical question is, if we were to do the three days of Jonah as a male and female coming together, I understand that part of it would be for male partner to not expel his semen from his body. But I don’t clearly see what not expelling the semen means for the female partner. I would also like you to explain what the three days of Jonah represent, as male and female coming together, in a very practical manner. How do you come together and not expel the semen? And what is the difference between day 1, day 2, and day 3. I’m not asking you to do another lecture. [audience laughs] What do you do, what are the steps? You can put it in a tiny nutshell, I believe.

Instructor: Let’s see if I can explain it briefly for you. I understand your question. If you observe the graphic that we have here, where we see the symbol of Adam and Eve… Below this, ions, which are, as you know, positively and negatively charged atoms. In other words, it’s man and woman. Here, Adam represents the brain and Eve represents the feminine organ. Adam represents the masculine current, called Pingala, and Eve represents the feminine current, known as Ida. Separated, Adam is male and Eve is female. So in Alchemy, you have to understand all those aspect of Adam and Eve in order to understand what you read in the Bible. Because, I am Adam, I am polarized positively, a positively charged ion. My wife is Eve, a negatively charged atom. So I have to unite with her in order to make a neutral force, which is my spinal column. There is no other way to awaken the Kundalini, or what we call Ath, the word, Christ, in ourselves. As a single person, we unite Ida and Pingala because we have the two polarities, Adam and Eve, separated in us. Everyone has that, both men and women. We work with that and we develop up to a certain level. Beyond that, we men need the polarity of a woman in order to continue and vice versa. Otherwise, it’s impossible. Because in order for the light of the middle column to awaken, we males need the cooperation of the negative ion, which is the woman. Otherwise there is no polarization there. It’s impossible. Those people that say that you can reach self-realization with only the body that you have are ignoring the laws of alchemy. It’s impossible because the Tree of Life, which is here, is nourished by the Tree of Knowledge of good an evil, which is Yesod. So you have to unite in order to rise. You can start as a single person. Many of the initiates in this path start as singles, doing exercises of pranayama, and they advance to a certain level. But beyond that, you have to unite with your nun. You see that word; it’s final nun. Final nun is the big fish that goes from Yesod up to the brain. That is the big fish that rises, or the energy of the Holy Spirit that rises from the bottom to the top of your brain when you are sexually united. Then you are being meek as Jonah. You see that statement? Be wise as serpents. What is he talking about? Well, I have three serpents: Ida, Pingala, and in the middle is the Sushumna. Those are the three serpents of the caduceus of Mercury. In order to be wise as serpents, I have to work with the serpents in my spinal column. But I have to be meek as Jonah, meaning that I have to be chaste. In order to enter into the big fish, you have to be in chastity. It is very easy to do the work as a single person, at a certain level. Those are the initiations of minor mysteries. That is easy. But to continue the work in the sexual act is not easy because there, your best friend, Lucifer, always appears: Ah… so Jahovah Elohim told you that? Every time you perform the sexual act he is there pushing you to reach the orgasm. That is why it’s rare to find initiates of the major mysteries. Because Lucifer always wins. He goes up to Jehovah Elohim who asks Satan, what do you see in this initiate? Satan answers, He is just blah blah blah, but in the sexual act I tempt him and he reaches the orgasm; he did not enter into the whale. He is just a demon with the face of a crocodile. 

Audience: As a male, at the point of uniting with a female, my work is to not expel the semen. That is basically what you are saying?

Instructor: It’s not just that. It’s not to reach the orgasm or the spasm. And for that you have to sublimate your energy; you have to learn that. It’s not just avoiding the orgasm. Many people do that in order to prolong the sexual act. We have to learn alchemy, to learn how to sublimate the sexual energy. Remember the big fish is the final nun. It has to go from the bottom to the brain, up. That is to enter into the belly of the big fish. 

Audience: So as a male, when I’m about to reach orgasm, I mentally pull that energy out of my sexual organs, up the spinal column, and up to the brain. 

Instructor: It’s impossible to give the details here about how to do sexual alchemy. But Master Samael wrote a book about it. It is called, The Perfect Matrimony. In it, he indicates the process of doing it. He also wrote another book called, The Mystery of the Golden Blossom, in which he describes all the details. Many of his other books also mention it, but the two mentioned books are the main ones. It’s not just about avoiding the spasm. You have to give your life, your soul, your spirit, to your inner God, that dwells in your spinal column, and to pray to that God in order to acquire that ability. Remember that the book of Genesis says, Vav, Elohim said. It’s not you, it’s Elohim inside of you that will do it if you align your willpower with his willpower or with both willpowers above and below. 

Audience: In this process of transmutation, are there three steps that are the three days of Jonah? Or is it different? 

Instructor: The three days of Jonah within the whole work that we have to perform. The first day of Jonah is to create the astral solar body, the mental solar body, and the causal solar body, in the sexual act. That is the first day. The second day is to annihilate all your egos in your physical body, all those egos that you see clearly in yourself until you become chaste in the physical plane. Then you acquire the second day. That is the second step. The third day is the most difficult. Because then you have to penetrate into your subconsciousness and to clean completely all of them, in order to resurrect. For that you have to go into Klipoth, all the subconsciousness, unconsciousness, and infra-consciousness, and eliminate all the egos of lust, all the egos of anger, all the egos of gluttony, of laziness, and all that, that we have in abundance. By doing that, you are liberating Israel from slavery. And you are gathering all of that in order to return to Sinai, which represents the higher levels, and to acquire resurrection. In synthesis, those are the three days of Jonah that end in the summit of the second mountain. 

Audience: You began the lecture by talking about two serpents that swim in the waters, Ida and Pingala, and their corrupting influence on the man. You talked primarily about the corrupting influence of the serpent that swims from the left, Ida, and how Eve corrupts the brain through the loss of the sexual energy. But you didn’t say much about the corrupting influence of the serpent that swims from the right, Pingala. Is that related to the corrupting influence that the brain has on the sexual centre, how lust can cause Eve to loose energy? Is that what that serpent represents?

Instructor: Yeah, more or less. When Ida, the left serpent, corrupted the brain, which is Adam, then Adam became corrupted. So that serpent called Pingala also became corrupted. Therefore, Pingala, that serpent related with the brain, always states: this doesn’t convince me. I think that God gave us this natural sexual instinct in order to enjoy it. That is your mind, your brain, your Adam, justifying your corruption. That is the problem. This is why to your brain, to Pingala was commanded:

And (Vav) thou shalt not covet thy neighbor`s wife. - Deuteronomy 5: 21

This is why the Zohar says that these two serpents are the enemies of the middle column. Pingala, which is related with your thoughts, your brain, is always coveting. This humanity is corrupted with the intellectual brain. This humanity gives interpretation of these alchemical statements of Moses according to their intellectual whim, they say: enter into our group and you will be saved. Right? Follow us! If we also start doing that then we will be lying. Nobody can save you but your Self. Who is of course, those forces that you call Christ, Jahovah, or the Holy Spirit, they are inside of you. They are not outside. If they are not doing anything, it is because you don’t work with them. You have to start doing that. But then you have to learn, as the master Paracelsus says, first learn the science of alchemy, then practice it. That’s why we are giving these lectures in relation with the Zohar. Sometimes they are very cryptic. But we do it in order for people to see that we are not making this up. It’s written in the Zohar, which is the spirit of the doctrine. Based on that, the Bible is written. But if you read the bible without knowing the Zohar, you won’t understand. In order to understand the Zohar, you have to be a practical alchemist and Kabbalist. It’s not just about theory. There are a lot of people that read the Zohar. In Canada I met a friend of mine that told me that every Saturday, because he is an orthodox Jew, he and his friends study the Zohar, and turn off the lights, and really concentrate, and smoke marijuana in order to understand what is written there. I said, oh, so that is how you study the Zohar? And he was an orthodox Jew. I was looking at him and I was really surprised. I said, what?, you smoke marijuana in order to understand? What the heck are you doing? He said, "you don’t know because you are not in our group. This is what we do." 

The word Saturday comes from the word Saturn (“Saturn-day”), which is the name of a God who was known by the Greeks as Κρόνος, Kronos, Cronus. Saturn / Cronus is the God of time, the God of endings, the God of death. We think that this is very negative, but in fact, Saturn represents something that we very much need.

In Hebrew, Saturn is שבתאי Shabtai, Sabbatai,  Sabbathai, Shabbatai, Shabbethai, etc., and is the alchemical Hebrew name given to those initiates [children] who die crucified in שבת Shabbath (Saturday 13th) and are reborn or resurrected in the eight day or Eighth Venustic Initiation, counting kabbalistically from Malkuth to Binah-Saturn. Binah is ruled by שבתאי Shabbathai (Saturn), Binah is the Holy Spirit; in India he is Shiva, the All and in all, namely, the creator, preserver, destroyer, revealer and concealer of all that is. In Atziluth, the world of archetypical emanations, Binah, Saturn receives the name of Yod-Havah Elohim (יהוה אלהים). Genesis 2: 4 states:

“These (the Shabbathai) are (in Atziluth) the generations of the heavens (of Uranus) and of (Gea) the earth when they were created in (Briah, in) the (שבת Shabbath - Saturn) day that (יהוה אלהים) Yod-Havah Elohim – Shabbathai שבתאי - made (in Yetzirah) the earth and the heavens.”

So, Yod-Havah Elohim (יהוה אלהים) in Daath, is the Lord of “TIME,” the Heavens (השמים Ha-Shamayim) of Briah [creation], the alchemical sexual work of the second birth.  

In Yetzirah, the world of formation, Binah-Saturn with his wife Rhea are the Lord and Lady of “TIMES” the psychological deaths from Malkuth to Kether, the alchemical sexual work of deaths, when moving through “Times” or the enneagram, the nine heavens of Yetzirah.

Kronos or Saturn-Binah finishes - as an eagle that devours the serpent - the whole kabbalistic alchemical work in “THE HALF OF A TIME” or the time, the moment, when in the wilderness of the life of the initiate, the Lord Binah-Saturn for whom he is waiting appears and thus transforms the initiate (by means of resurrection) into a Shabbathai, a resurrected master of the eighth day. Or as Greek mythology states the Heavens (Uranus) in Atziluth are taken by Saturn in Briah. And Saturn-Binah in Yetzirah becomes Kronos, the Lord of a time, the times and the half of a time.

"Time, Times and the Half of a Time" relates to the three days of Jonah in the belly of the whale,  the earth – Malkuth. All of this alchemical work is done in the waters of Malkuth, the earth; the waters are represented  by the letter Mem, the 13th letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The letter Yod is the 10th letter that is hidden in Havah [Eve], the living sexual waters of Malkuth the tenth sephirah. Malkuth is ruled by the Moon of  מים Mayim, the waters of Yesod. Alchemically and kabbalistically Mem is 40 and Yod is 10, thus  מים Mayim has two mems: 40+40 = 80 + Yod 10 = 90 = 9, the ninth sephirah Yesod, ruled by Binah-Saturn-Kronos, the Lord of Time, Times and the Half of a Time; or the three days of Jonah in the belly of the whale - the earth.

When the initiate finishes with a "Time, Times and the Half of a Time," he or she as a Shabbathai or as the Mayans said as a Sabbachthani, finally - during a total lunar eclipse - Saturday 13th – the lights are turned off and by means of resurrection he or she abandons the studies of the Second Mountain, thus, as Jonah, he or she resurrects in a new heaven and earth, and enter into the mysteries of the Third Mountain.

In that day יהוה with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon [the Kundabuffer serpent] that is in the (boisterous) sea. - Isaiah 27: 1
