Nychtemeron, The Hours of Apollonius, Part 2
"And Elohim said, Let there be אור light: and there was אור light. And Elohim saw the light, that it was good: and Elohim divided the light from the darkness. And Elohim called the light Mera-Day and the darkness Nychta-Night." - Genesis / Bereshit 1; And the Nychta-Night and the Mera-Morning, the Nychtameron.
"'And Elohim called the light day [Hebrew 'Iom'].' The primal celestial light of the first day is what lightens the other days of Genesis, and therefore the Hebrew word 'Iom - day' is repeated in the seven days." - Zohar
The word Nychthemeron comes from the Greek language, from nychta, “night,” and mera, “day,” and thus refers to a day of 24 hours. If we look at a clock, we find that it is made by 12 hours. This indicates 12 steps that the Christ has to perform within each one of us. This is the main point of the Nychthemeron: to comprehend that the one that is doing these steps is the Sun (the Cosmic Christ).
If we see the sun in relation with the rotation of the Earth, it travels around in 24 hours. That is why, from ancient times, we find these ancient clocks (sundial) which are circular, with certain elements in the middle in order to point to the shade and the light. So, in those ancient clocks you can see the meaning of the Nychthemeron because you see the light on one side, and the shade on the other, and by looking at the shade of this instrument you can guess the hour of the day. But, of course, in the esoteric doctrine, this Nychthemeron implies a lot; it is always related with the Light.
Remember that the Lord, incarnated in the Master Jesus, said: “I am the Light of the Kosmos” (John 8:12). When you read this, it is written in Greek, but remember that Master Jesus of Nazareth, who represents the Cosmic Christ, who is an incarnation of that Light, brought to this planet the doctrine of the Cosmic Christ, in order for us to understand the steps to follow for the Self-realization of our Being. He spoke in Aramaic (or Hebrew, if you want) and if we translate “I am the Light” in Hebrew, then we say, “Ehyeh ha aur”. Aur (אוֹר) is light, in Hebrew, “ha aur” means the light. But ehyeh is precisely the mystery here, because this word ehyeh is the name that Moses heard from God when he was talking with God in the Mount Sinai asking, “And when they shall say to me, What is the name of him who sent you?” what shall I say unto them?” and then God answered him and said, “Ehyeh Ašher Ehyeh” (אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה) – “I am the one that I am” so “I am” is repeated. That is why in Kabbalah, when we go and point ehyeh, we point at the first sephirah of the Tree of Life which is Kether.
Kether is that point that emerges from the Unknowable Divine, and it is represented by a crown (because Kether means “crown”) that means a shiny element above the head. That is why when we refer to Kether, we refer to the light that emerges from the Space. That is why He/She is represented by the letter Iod (י) which is the smallest letter in the Hebrew alphabet. It is just a dot. That dot is precisely that Light that emerges from the Unknowable. That which is around that Light is the darkness. That Light extends to the very end of the Ray of creation and the beginning of that Ray is what we call the Ain Soph Aur, “the Limitless Light”. It receives many names in esotericism; we call it also “The Solar Abstract Absolute” to indicate that aur that we are describing here is solar.
When we talk about the seven cosmoses, the first cosmos is the Protocosmos (in Greek) and it is related to the Ain Soph Aur, to The Solar Absolute. Within it we find that which we call the worlds or the planets of Christ; if we call them stars it is also the same. They are “the planets of Christ” because within them exist an eternal, perennial nature, which is immortal. All the beings that dwell within those planets abide within this eternal happiness. Those planets of Christ belong to the Protocosmos, to the Ain Soph Aur and cannot be found with a telescope, because they belong to the seventh dimension or zero dimension which is the Unknowable. The seventh dimension is divided in two parts: one which is unknowable and the other which is knowable. The Unknowable is the “Uncreated Light”, Ain Soph Aur which is Christ, the Sun itself. And the knowable is that dot that we are talking here, which is “the crown”, Kether.
In Christianity, Kether is called the Father. We, the Gnostics, call him “the Father of all Lights” because he is united to the Ain Soph Aur which also receives the name of Glorian. That Glorian is the Christ, that divides itself in three aspects, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in Christianity. Of course, they are not persons, but forces of the Light. In Kabbalah we call them Kether (the crown), Chokmah (wisdom), Binah (understanding, comprehension or intelligence). These are three Lights or Suns that represents that Light which emerges from the night as we explained in other lectures. It is written in the book of Genesis that, in the beginning, the spirit of God was moving upon the face of the waters, and darkness was upon the face of the abyss, and then Elohim said: “Let there be light!” so, that light is Aur, is Christ. But, as you see, He emerges from darkness. How do we refer to that darkness in Gnosticism? We call it Ain Soph. The number of the Ain Soph is twelve. If you count the ten sephiroth of the Tree of Life, then, above the number 10, which is Kether, you find the Ain Soph Aur (which is the eleventh) and then the Ain Soph. If you see, both names are similar. The only difference between the Ain Soph and the Ain Soph Aur is the word Aur which means “light”. So, the Ain Soph is that eternal darkness which indeed is like a kind of light that for us is darkness. It is like when somebody puts a very strong light in front of your eyes, and then it dazzles you. You cannot see because it is too much light in your eyes. So that is what the Ain Soph is. It is called “dark light” or “uncreated light” but from it emerges Christ (Aur), and that is precisely the Solar Absolute.
Christ is a Greek word that is related to the fire, with the light. So, when we, the Gnostics, address the Lord (Christ), we know that it is that Light that emerges from the Ain Soph, and that forms a universe within that Unknowable Abstract Space (which is beyond the universe) –a universe that is filled with eternity. There are beings that dwell there, in that Ain Soph Aur. And physically, the Ain Soph Aur has a physical body and this is precisely what we have to understand. The physical body of this Ain Soph Aur is every sun of every solar system. That is why the Lord, Jesus, said: “I am the Light of the world” because that Light is Christ. People used to read that, in the Gospels, and think that the physical body, the personality of Jesus of Nazareth was saying: “I am the Light of the world” and it is precisely a big mistake of Christianity (thinking that the personality of Jesus is the Light of the world). If we think Jesus as a bulb of electricity, we understand that the light (the electricity) that goes through the bulb is not the bulb, but shines through the bulb. That electricity is Christ.
So, Christ is energy, as electricity is energy, and shines through those bulbs which are prepared to shine. And that is what is called in Greek doxa or dexa; there is a word called “heterodox”. In English its “orthodox”. Orto means “straight” and doxa is translated as “glory”, but it is also “inside” or “apprehension” and sometimes is “belief” or comprehension of something. When you get it, you get the doxa. But that doxa in Greek, in the Bible means “glory”, and some do not understand why they, in this day and age, put “glory” instead of “comprehension” or “believing” or “inside” or “apprehension” or something. Orto, of course, is “straight”, the truth. So, when you say: “I am in the orthodox religion” means “the straight”/”the right one”, that understand the doxo, the truth (the way in which the truth is comprehended – that is doxo). From that point of view, each one of us has a different doxo or doxa, different way of apprehending things, a different “glory”. And this is precisely the point here to understand because the four Gospels are written in Greek, and when we go into the Nychthemeron, we go into the mera, into the light of Christ. And, we understand that are different type of bulbs throughout which the light of Christ shines (different voltages).
So, the comprehension of the Light is different in each one of us. But among those Masters (like Jesus, like Moses, like Krishna, like Buddha) that reached the perfection, in their own level, that voltage is called “Objective Reasoning” or Superlative Intuitive Reasoning. So, it is not this reasoning that people use in this day and age, that is subjective or based in the five senses. The intellect or reasoning that we are talking about here is enlightened intellect, enlightened by Christ, the cosmic electricity. It means that the Lord is giving you a type of cosmic reasoning in which you understand life in the universe in different levels (according to your cosmic level). This is precisely the only reason of existing. Because when we go into the Twelfth Aeon, which is the Ain Soph (which is that darkness that we are talking about), all of us are a part of it. This means that physically, here, we are in the very bottom of the Tree of Life because all of us are constituted in the same way. So, if you see the Tree of Life, Malkuth is precisely the very bottom. This is why we are here.
But the physical body has a vitality that is called Yesod, the foundation of physical life. Now, if you go deeper, you find your emotions that are called Hod in the Tree of Life. Then, you go deeper within yourself, and then you find your thoughts which are called Netzach, the mind.
Beyond the mind we find Tiphereth [splendor]; that is what we call “human consciousness”, the way in which you apprehend the light with your consciousness, beyond your mind. When you have some hunches that is the splendor, Tiphereth, intuition. That is why Tiphereth, in Kabbalah, is where you find the sun because if you investigate what is the planet related with Tiphereth, you find the sun shining there. That is why it is written that the Lord, the Christ, Solar Light, expresses itself in us through the heart which is the altar of our soul, Tiphereth. So, the way of comprehending the knowledge, the understanding of the doctrine, is related with the heart. Christ gives you in the heart that comprehension, that solar force that is related with your soul which is your will. That is why we say that Tiphereth [which in Hebrew means 'splendor'] is willpower within you.
If you go deeper, you find your Geburah, your Spiritual Soul, which is something beyond, a kind of spirit, soul or consciousness that you have to meditate a lot in order to understand, in order to receive you own particular light that you inner Monad has.
Beyond Geburah is your Spirit but do not mistake you Spirit with your Soul. Soul is one thing, and the Spirit is another. A Spirit is, and a soul you build through the esoteric work, spiritually or humanly speaking.
Now, beyond your Spirit, is where we find that which in Christianity is called Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Kether, Chokmah, Binah), the three Lights of the Lord that we call the Glorian. Holy Spirit is the number eight, the Son is the number nine, and the Father is the number ten. Each one of us has his own Holy Spirit; each one of us has his own Christ, his own Son; and each one of us has his own Father (the Father of your own Spirit).
Now, beyond that is the Ain Soph Aur, the light of the Unknowable, and deep down there we have the Ain Soph (which is that Star that abides within the Unknowable) which is the very root of all that which in Kabbalah is called the Tree of Life, the parts of the Being. All of those parts manifest in different levels within every single person in the world, within every single plant in the world, and every single animal that is in the world because if you investigate every plant, every animal, every mineral, they have the same constitution. Obviously, we are higher (physically speaking) because we are in the human level or intellectual animal level. But every single unit in the universe has this division, this constitution. This is what we have to understand and to comprehend.
The Ray of Creation is that Light that descends from the Ain Soph down to Malkuth, and even further, into the world of Klipoth. To understand this is precisely fundamental because this is how we are, how we exist. That is why when we talk about the twelve hours, the Nychthemeron, you have to visualize that we are talking about Malkuth, Yesod, Hod, Netzach, Tiphereth, Geburah, Chesed, Binah, Chokmah, Kether, Ain Soph Aur and the Ain Soph. This is how in Kabbalah we name the twelve sephiroth (ten manifested and two unmanifested).
The whole work is precisely to enlighten all of that within each one of us. As Kether says “I am the one that I am”, Ehyeh ašer ehyeh. This is your inner Being which is beyond your mind, beyond your soul, beyond your spirit, the first manifestation of your Star. That “I am” wants to know Himself because this is precisely the point here. We do not know ourselves. We enter into this path because we are ignorant; we are in nychta, night, and God, in accordance with the Book of Genesis, took the light from the nychta, from the night. So, I am a night. How do I take the light from the darkness in which I am sunk? That is the point. Knowing that the Lord, Khrist, the light of the Kosmos, emerges from the darkness, but the Lord is Christ, is the Solar Light, the Sun. Pistis Sophia called the physical body (Malkuth), the mixture, of course, a mixture of lights – because Malkuth, in Kabbalah, is called the West and Tiphereth [splendor] where the sun is shining, is called the East. And why is this physical body, Malkuth called the mixture and the West? Because all the forces or lights of the Tree of Life that emerges from above, as we discussed, finally enter into Malkuth. That Light that we call Christ sets in Malkuth (which is the West), enters into you body, sits into your body, penetrates into your body, and goes into your subconsciousness, unconsciousness. This is how the Light of the Lord sacrifices itself deep down in us. That is why Malkuth, the earth, the physical body, the mixture, is called the West.
So, in the West, the Sun enters but, you see, when the sun sets, darkness comes because there is no more light. But the light is there, it is just sinking into the matter. That light entering into the matter is precisely the light that we want to talk about, because that matter is night, is darkness. So, that is why Malkuth, in Kabbalah, is symbolized by a circle with a cross in the middle which is precisely the symbol of Glorian. That cross is the symbol of the duality: man and woman, positive and negative, father-mother, Adam and Eve. That force, in order to create, in order to multiply itself, needs to divide itself into two forces: the vertical line and the horizontal line. When we put them together we find the cross, and when we spin that force, a circle appears. That is why the cross, or the square, (which has four sides that comes from the union of two) from the two lines emerges the four- which is the cross. So you find the quadrature of the circle, and from that spinning of that cross or square, you made the circle within which all the geometrical figures hide.
So, within the man and the woman is the secret, the mystery of making that light to shine which is the cross. That is why the clock is circular, and that is why has 12 numbers around – in order to point the different steps that we have to follow within the 24 hours which are 12 of light and 12 of darkness. Those hours, of course, are not hours of 60 minutes as we think, physically speaking. That time is esoteric time that is related with what we read in the Bible. Daniel, for instance, asked an angel:
How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that lives for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. - Daniel 12: 6, 7
So, when they read that, all the intellectuals that do not have the splendor of the Sun, the Light of the Lord in their heart, become lost. “What is time?” And they speculate. Only by walking on the path, you begin to understand what “time, times and half of a time” is . It is related with the Nychthemeron. But that “time, times and half of a time” is always in accordance with our own level. We will say in synthesis: “Time”-when you understand that you need something; “times” – when you are looking for that you know that you need (because you comprehended that you need it); “half of a time” – when you really found what you are looking for. That is the one esoteric way in which you understand and follow the Nychthemeron.
In the Gnostic Bible, Master Jesus of Nazareth explains that in order to save the souls, he moves the light, the forces, of all the universe six months to the left and six months to the right:
It came to pass then, when I came into [Klipoth] their region, that they [the egos] mutinied and fought against the light. And I took [through alchemy] the third of their power, in order that they should not be able to accomplish their evil deeds. And the Fate and the sphere over which they rule, I have changed, and set them facing the left six months and accomplishing their influences, and I have set them turned another six months to the right and accomplishing their influences. - Pistis Sophia Unveiled chapter 16
If you do not know Kabbalah, you do not understand that statement. Six and six is twelve which is always related to the Nychthemeron but here the clock is divided in two (six to the left, six to the right), and the clue, of course, is the number six, Tiphereth [splendor]. Because when you count the sephiroth from Kether (1), Chokmah (2), Binah (3), Chesed (4), Geburah (5), Tiphereth (6), that is the clue. And why is Tiphereth the clue? I repeat: because the number six in Tarot is “The Lovers” who are making the cross within the circle. Tiphereth is where the sun shines. Tiphereth is that Human Soul through which the Lord, Christ, can shine. So, the Lord Christ moves Tiphereth towards the left or towards the right. It is so easy to see when you understand all the meaning of the Nychthemeron.
Eventually, the initiate can incarnate the Christ, which is precisely the longing of all of us. This is precisely why we come to these studies, we want to incarnate the Lord (the Light, Christ) in our souls. This is a big goal; it is called the Venustic Initiation, the great path. So, the Lord incarnates in order to save that soul, because He is the savior, that Light can forgive your karma, can forgive your sins. But you have to work with the Light, with the Nychthemeron in order to be forgiven. It is not like the millions of Christians in this day and age think, that by raising their hand aloft and saying “I believe in Jesus as my savior”, all sins are forgiven, or when you go to the priest and say: “I confess that I made this sin etc.” and he says: “Go and pray ten Pater Noster and some Hail Mary’s, and your sins are forgiven”. Everybody likes that, everybody does it and it is good, at least you do that, but really your ego and sin are still there, within you, your sin is not forgiven. For that you have to incarnate the Lord in you.
In a certain level of the Nychthemeron, you incarnate the Lord, and then the Lord can move you towards the left or towards the right. What is the left and what is the right? This is the Tetragrammaton, the Pentagram, the symbol of the Lord, a symbol that is being used and abused by Hollywood and many other people there on the internet; they use this symbol, but they do not know why they use it. It is a very ancient symbol of Christ, in esoteric terms, because all that which is there is sacred.
In the right of the Pentagram you find the word Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei (which in English is translated as Yehovah, the name of God), and on the left arm is written Adam, made into the image of God. Adam Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei means the Lord which is made into the image of The Unknowable. But here, you find precisely, in the middle of the Pentagram, the symbol of the sun in the right part of the chest of the Pentagram and the symbol of the moon in the left. And the Pentagram represents, of course, the Human Soul with the Lord incarnated. When the soul incarnates Christ, the Solar Light, he becomes a living Pentagram. Jesus was a Pentagram. Moses was a Pentagram; Krishna was another Pentagram, and any initiate with that Solar Light becomes a Pentagram. And it is easy to see it, when you see the Man of the Zohar, you find here another Pentagram.
You find the Man of the Zohar looking at the infinite; in his chest you find the galaxy, the 12 constellations; in his waist, the solar system; and he is standing over the Earth, one foot on the water, in the ocean, and the other foot on the land. That is a gigantic symbol, which is called Adam Kadmon. And, of course, it is a Pentagram too: the arms, the two legs and the head, the same symbol. And, of course, in order for us to acquire the realization of our Self, we have to be fully aware of our Self, awakened.
As you see here, in this physical world, with our eyes we see trees, birds, people, things; with a telescope we see the stars and with a microscope we see small things, in the same way we must see the other three dimensions (spheres shown in the image) that we see here in the Man of the Zohar because the fourth world, from the top to the bottom is called Assiah, the physical world in which we are. But above there are another three spaces. This is how Pistis Sophia called them. The space above, where you find the head of this man, is called the first space. Then, the space of the chest is called the second space; and the third is called the third space. As you see, the third space which is a little bit above the fourth (which is us, the matter) is related with the solar system, and any solar system. Above it, we find the galaxy; and above, the infinite. This is how, in Kabbalah, you synthesize the three spaces. When you talk about the physical matter, you form four; because the circle with a cross in the middle symbolizes the four manners in which God emerges in the universe: the infinite, the galaxy, the solar system and, finally, the Earth. In Kabbalah, we call that Atziluth (the infinite), Briah (the world of creation, the chest), Yetzirah (the world of formation, the waist), and Assiah (the earth, the world of matter and action).
So, we have to shine; we have to acquire glory. We have to acquire comprehension, insight, of these four worlds. Everything is related with four; that is why the name of God is Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, tetra, four, Tetragrammaton. That is why the year has four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter; that is why, in Kabbalah, we talk about four elements: fire, air, water and earth. We know that, physically speaking, there are many elements but, in Kabbalah, we always synthesize them into four. And in that, everything is synthesized. You have to use your heart in order to see because the light that we are talking about here is within the water (electricity), its within the fire (sulfur), its within the air (electricity), and it is within the earth. The Lord is fire, light, within any element in Assiah, the matter, but it is in the center of any solar system because the Lord shines from the sun (utilizes any sun as a vehicle). This is precisely the meaning of all this mystery of the Nychthemeron. Because when you observe charcoal, it is black; it is like the darkness, right? But if you light that charcoal, the fire comes. That is the Lord. That fire that comes from the charcoal is solar light which was encapsulated there for millions of years. What is the petroleum? It is also the same solar light and now it is being extracted in order to utilize it as a fuel, and in order to pollute, also.
There are many other ways to extract the solar light, not only from petroleum – that is an inferior way. Why? Because the doxa of the intellectual animals from the Earth is very low. They do not know how to take the solar light from other elements, in order to not pollute the other kingdoms, that is a mystery for them. Of course, orthodox means “straight shiny” but if we take doxa as “glory”, as they translate it in the Bible, then orthodox means “straight glory” or straight fire, the straight energy, which is the element fire, which is INRI, the Christ, the Solar Light. The fire, the straight energy of the elements, the Solar Light is Christ. So, Christ as fire as energy is everywhere. When the volcanoes are erupting, the magma, the lava is INRI, the Lord coming from the very center of the earth into the surface. And remember, it is written:
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. - 2 Peter 3: 10
For the Lord thy God is a devouring fire, a jealous God. - Deuteronomy 4: 24
People are expecting a man, a personality coming in the clouds. The Lord is the fire, is the Solar Light. In the times of the end, the Lord will burn this planet, this humanity, in order to create new life. Remember that after the fire burns a forest, it begins to flourish and create new things. The same will happen with this humanity. Remember that: the Lord is not a person. Christ is energy which we can get if we know how, if we know the mystery of the Nychthemeron. That is why, in each one of us, we have to develop that glory. Each one of us has to develop his own glory and this is precisely what we have to comprehend. When working with Lord Christ, what we want is to be glorified; and we will be glorified if we incarnate the Child, the Sun, in us. This is how it is written.
The great Kabbalist, the apostle Paul, is the one that talks about the Nychthemeron and how you develop it in yourself, if you know how to handle that light. Paul of Tarsus always speaks about the Inner Lord, the Inner Christ. He says:
All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men [related to earth], and another flesh of beasts [related to fire], another of fish [related to element water], and another flesh of birds [related to air]” - I Corinthians 15:39.
So, you see there how Paul of Tarsus is talking about the four elements, related to the flesh because our flesh [עור Aur in Hebrew] is precisely where our light [אור Aur in Hebrew] goes out. When you are very psychic, you can see that light shining around you. Actually, in this day and age, the Kirlian camera is photographing the aura or light of all matter, but there are people that when they develop sixth sense, clairvoyance, they can see that light. But that depends of the type of matter or flesh that we have within, not only physical matter, but also molecular matter and atomic matter related to the protoplasmic bodies that we have within: mind, feelings. Those are protoplasmic, because the physical is cellular.
The aspiration of every alchemist is to incarnate the Lord. Every alchemist wants to receive the child-light from Chokmah, the Lord in their heart. But they cannot receive it until they first of all create the causal or epouranios body; we have to create the causal body, we have to create what Paul or Tarsus calls the heavenly body, which relates to the human soul, the body divine; this is how the Bible calls it.
So, you agree all flesh is not the same flesh. Fish have different flesh that allow them to live in the water; the salamanders can live in the fire because they have a type of flesh that allow them live in the fire; the birds can fly because they have that flesh that belongs to the air; and we belong to the earth. But, of course, Paul of Tarsus continues:
There are also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial [epouranios] is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. - I Corinthians 15:40
Celestial bodies are called epouranios, divine bodies, or causal bodies. The terrestrial bodies are called Epigeios bodies and are related to the four alchemical elements of nature or four lower sephiroth from the previous verse, namely, flesh of "men" (malkuth), flesh of "fish" (yesod), flesh of "beasts" (hod), and flesh of "birds" (netzach). So, "celestial" is directly addressing the body of Tiphereth, the causal body. Splendor, Tiphereth, the Human Soul united with the Light of the Lord form the celestial bodies. You cannot receive the Lord if you have not created the causal or epouranios body, which allows us to apprehend the glory, the splendor, doxa, insight, of the Light. If you comprehend yourself, if you annihilate the ego, which is darkness within you, your glory changes, you have more Light. You have to unite the Tree of life with the Tree of Knowledge into one. So, "the glory of the celestial body [ἐπουράνιος – epouranios, in Greek] is one, and the glory of the Epigeios or terrestrial is another.”
When we say glory remember that we stated that glory means insight, apprehension of the light, comprehension of something through intuition. Glory is not only what people think to be, that is, that a given body will shine differently that another, since this is what commonly the layman think. The glory or reasoning of the Lord in Tiphereth is very strong, but the glory or reasoning of the man in malkuth is not that strong, it is very weak. So, when we talk about glory, which is doxa in Greek, understand, that is the way how we apprehend the knowledge of God within us. For instance, when you hear people talking about the Bible, when they show you the Bible and say: 'this is how it is written, so therefore, when you enter into our sect you then will be saved;' thus, whatever their reasoning might be, that is their glory, that is the way they understand the Bible. But you might say, 'no way, I cannot agree with their doctrine or the way these people teach, because I see that it is very poor, it is very shallow.' This happens because your glory is different! The way you understand things, your doxa is different!
When one receives the initiation of Tiphereth, one then receives the Lord, which is Christ within, then one's glory changes. Thus, in accordance with the Nychthemeron, which is the path of perfection, one's glory is changing at the pace one is annihilating one's own ego, which is the darkness within; this is how one develops more light, more glory. Your glory shines within and through you by apprehending the light of the Lord within you, by means of the comprehension of your Self. This is what is called the Inner Realization of the Being. The Being is the Being and the only reason for the Being to be, is to be his Self, the Being; because the Being does not know all of the parts of his Self. So, in order to shine the Being needs to know his Self. This is precisely the path of Gnosis, to know. People think that to know is to read the Bible, the Koran or other books by memory; that is not to know. To know is to know your Self.
Homo Nosce Te Ipsum, this is precisely a statement in Latin that was written on the gate of the old temple of Delphi; it means: "Man know thy Self and you will know the Gods and the universe."
Behold, one knows through the Nychthemeron. The universe is related to the four worlds of Kabbalah. When one knows his Self, one knows that the tree of life is the Self, namely the ten sephiroth plus the Ain Soph Aur and the Ain Soph, all of these then within all of us form the twelve parts or hours of the Nychthemeron. Thus by knowing those twelve parts and by enlightening those hours with the light of the Lord is how one self-realized those twelve parts, and this is how one will know one's own Self. Those twelve parts are connected to the different parts of the universe, through them therefore you will know the universe and the Beings that dwell in the universe. Man know thy Self and you will know the universe and the Gods. Thus, Homo Nosce Te Ipsum implies to know our Being in himself. Gnosis. We have to unite, to merge knowledge with the Being. In other words, talking in a Kabbalistically and Alchemically manner: We have to unite the tree of life and the tree of knowledge.
Master Samael Aun Weor states that the whole book of Genesis talks about two trees, namely, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge. In order to attain the inner realization of your Self you need to unite the two trees in one.
To acquire knowledge... When one acquires knowledge through the Nychthemeron one is not acquiring knowledge of someone else, but knowledge of one's own Self, knowledge of one's own Being. Gnosis is to know your Self. Thus, by knowing your Self you shine, you develop your own glory. In order to attain knowledge you have to walk with two feet. You cannot jump on the path with one foot; this is why we have two feet. You advance with the right foot while the left foot impels you ahead, then with the left impelled by the right, this is how you walk and likewise, this is how you walk internally. Remember the Pentagram, on the right side is the sun and on the left side is the moon. The moon relates to the left foot and the sun to the right foot; the sun is called 'the good' and the moon is called 'the bad.' To understand how to work with the moon and the sun is easy. Watch the opera The Magic Flute by Mozart; this in order to know how to work and walk with the two feet. The woman is the moon and the man is the sun. The moon is the queen of the night, which reflects the light of the sun, she is in the left and the sun Zarastro [the light 'Zara' of 'astro', the star] is in the right. This is how we have to develop our glory.
The glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory.- I Corinthians 15:40
Do you get the glory of that? When people read literally the former quotation people say, "I understand that the sun shines in one way and the moon in another way and the star in another." No! It does not mean that; it means that when the alchemist incarnates the Lord within, better said, when the Bodhisattva incarnates the light of Chokmah, then the sun, the Lord, shines and shows his glory, his doxa, in heaven, because the one that incarnates the Lord is Tiphereth, the human soul. Splendor, Tiphereth is the glory of the sun within the epouranios or celestial body.
Yet, another is the glory of the moon. What is the moon? The moon shines above the earth during the night. We are the earth and the night because physically we are in darkness. As the moon reflects the light of the sun, likewise, our mind, the moon reflects the light of the sun through our mental solar body. When we see for instance a full moon, it looks like the sun, but it is just the moon reflecting the light of the sun. For instance, now I am shining for you, since through this lecture I am throwing light to you, such is the glory of my moon, my mind. However, my moon, my mind is only reflecting the light of the sun in Tiphereth and Geburah, which is the abode of the Lord, the Christ, he is within those celestial bodies above and inside when we work with alchemy.
Another instance, within Master Samael Aun Weor is the superior light or glory of the sun in Geburah. In Malkuth, we received the glory of his moon, but we knew that behind his moon was the glory of his sun in Tiphereth, which is another glory. This is precisely how Master Jesus taught to his disciples in the book called The Pistis Sophia. HIs disciples who are the souls that follow the direct path, the path of perfection, gather in Tiphereth or Mount of Olives. Jesus talked to them in a kabbalistic language. Let us read the Pistis Sophia:
It came to pass, when Jesus had risen from the dead, that he passed eleven years discoursing with his disciples, and instructing them only up to the regions of the First Commandment and up to the regions of the First Mystery, that within the Veil, within the First Commandment, which is the four and twentieth mystery without and below - those (four and twenty) which are in the second space of the First Mystery which is before all mysteries, the Father in the form of a dove....
It came to pass then when the disciples were sitting together of the Mount of Olives, speaking of these words and rejoicing in great joy, and exulting exceedingly and saying one to another: "Blessed are we before all men who are on the earth, because the Savior has reveled this unto us, and we have received the Fulness and total completion", - they said this to one another, while Jesus sat a little removed from them... And there came forth behind him a great light-power shinning most exceedingly, and there was no measure to the light conjoined with with it. For it came out of the Light of lights... - Pistis Sophia Unveiled
Jesus' disciples are not in the physical plane. They are in Tiphereth, the Mount of Olives, which is where we find the glory of the sun. Yet, when he was in the physical world, in his physical body, with his own mind he was trying to explain his wisdom to the people through the reflection of his moon. This is why it is difficult to express the glory of the sun through a lecture since what you are saying is only transmitted through the glory of the moon, the reflection of the moon, which is the mind of that initiate. It would be good to develop your intuition in order to see the glory of the sun, and touch the sun of that initiate, which is not in his physical body, but in his soul, which is Tiphereth. Since, one is the glory of the sun in Tiphereth and another is the glory of the moon that relates to malkuth, his physical body
'Another is the glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory.' That glory is beyond the sun, because Tiphereth is connected to one star. That star is related with the cosmocreators of the 12 constellations. The cosmocreators channel the light of the Ain Soph Aur, the Solar Absolute. They channel the light of the Absolute through the Father of all the lights. For instance, regarding the planet Earth, we know the seven great cosmocreators: Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Michael, Samael, Zachariel and Orifiel. These are the seven stellar spirits before the throne of God.
And he had in his right hand seven stars.... The mystery of the seven stars which you see in my right hand.... are the seven angels of the seven churches [or sidereal temples]. Revelation 1: 16, 20
The seven stars in the hand of Adam Kadmon are the glory of the seven truths, When we see star in the hand of our Inner Lord, that is the glory, the apprehension of the truth, or the light, the insight, the doxa of any of those Cosmo-Creators within
In order for us to see that light we have to prepare ourselves with the Nychthemeron. Walking to the left and to the right and standing in equilibrium over the left foot or over the right foot. When we walk with the moon on the left is when we go and meditate on our egos. This is because the moon is our mind and because our egos are lunar. They reflect or attract the light of the sun within us.
Sometimes the initiate has to sink into the abyss in order to snatch the light from the abyss. The abyss is our unconsciousness, subconsciousness and infraconsciousness, but when the initiate walks on the left side, the Lord abandons him. This happens also when we are tried or tested. When we are walking with the Lord on the right side, the Lord is with us, he is shining within us. On the left we have to go down by ourselves in order to comprehend our demons, devils, defects and vices in order to snatch the light from them. When we disintegrate an ego then that light part of the consciousness arises and unites with the Lord of the right side. Sometimes when the light of the Lord descends through the left side, he disguises himself with darkness and goes down into the abyss with us. This path is very difficult, because when we are in the abyss, hell or infernos, we are attacked by our own demons, vices, our own desires, thus, we must reinforce our souls by means of prayers. This is why the Master Samael Aun Weor gave a lot of prayers and conjurations that we need in order to sink into the abyss and snatch the light from the darkness. There are a lot of demons in "the moon," lunar forces that we have to defeat. This is how the initiate works with the left and with the right. In the right he is dealing with sheep or good souls and when he walks on the left he is dealing with goats. As master Jesus knew how to deal with goats and sheep, likewise we need to learn how to deal with sinners and how to deal with virtuous people. Remember that the Lord Jesus was always with sinners because the doctrine has to be given to sinners.
Sometimes the initiate remains a long time in the abyss and believes that he is lost, since due to having too much ego, he does not see the light. This is called a Spiritual Night. Master Samael talks about the Spiritual Night in one of his books entitled The Mystery of the Golden Blossom. Beethoven experienced that night; likewise we have to experience it, but in different levels. The initiate sees himself lost in the abyss; this is related with that statement said by Master Jesus on the cross, 'from the sixth hour to the ninth hour there was darkness on the earth, and Jesus exclaimed, "Father, Father, why have you forsaken me?" He felt abandoned and this is precisely how the initiate feels. Sometimes you feel like that and say. 'I am working on this path and I do not see any results, I do not see the light. We have to develop intuition and work with more faith because this is how we are tested. Eventually that night will end and then we will enter into another day. This is the path, sometimes we are in the day and sometimes we are in the night. We are walking with two feet, We have to fight as the Master Samael said in the Pistis Sophia, against the forces of good and against the forces fo evil in order to go beyond good na d evil. Those forces are within us and not outside of us, They are within us, because they form precisely the path.
And another is the glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead.
If we understand that δόξα doxa, the insight, the Objective Reasoning or Superlative Intuitive Reasoning, is different in every initiate, we then understand that the levels of resurrection of the dead in every initiate are also different.
Did you read about the resurrection of the dead? Listen, the resurrection of the dead are only for those who are working alchemically and psychologically on themselves. When your sins, defects, vices die within your darkness, then some light resurrects within you. The resurrection of the dead starts, occurs at different levels, thus in the beginner the resurrection of the dead starts when he meditates on his anger or her pride or his lust or her laziness, etc. The beginner resurrects in the measure that he comprehends his defects; comprehension means insight, δόξα doxa. So one resurrects when one is developing understanding of one Self; in a very orthodox way, we will say, it is when you are obtaining the direct truth of your Self. This is how you are glorified, this is how you shine. Your glory is different and such glory is shown through your heart and mind. this is why it is written that the resurrection of the dead differs from one another in glory. Thus, in accordance to the path of inner realization of the Self this is how the glory or Objective Reasoning will shine.
In the beginning one says, "I do not understand, this is so difficult." Well, understand that your glory is not at a higher level yet. If you continue walking on the path and performing the three factors of the revolution of the consciousness, then eventually your glory will shine and change its level. You will then reach that level of comprehension that now you do not understand, but you will, then you will see what you could not see; thus, you will shine at a different level.
One is the glory of Jesus and another is the glory of Moses and another is the glory of Samael Aun Weor and another is the glory of Krishna. Every initiate has his own glory, his own objective reasoning, objectiveness means shinning with the sun. This is what we need to understand. Every religion is good, because the glory of every religion is in accordance to the glory of the founder of such religion
It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. - 1 Corinthians 15: 42-43
When all of us enter into this path we discover that our parents engendered us through corruption because they did not know that lust is the orgasm, the spasm. Thus, all of us are children of the spasm, the orgasm, of the fornication that the Bible forbids. So, we are engendered in corruption, but we can raised in incorruption through chastity in this body of corruption. The body of corruption is our physical body, which has to learn how to be in chastity, and through this incorruption we learn how to go out of corruption. This is why it is written, 'It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power', in other words, one is engendered by the devil, by wickedness. The devil is the lust that all of us have within. One is raised in power by the Holy Spirit when one is practicing alchemical chastity.
It is sown a natural body [sōma psychikon]; it is raised a spiritual body [sōma pneumatikon]. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body. - 1 Corinthians 15: 44
The natural body in Greek is called Soma Psychikos [from psyche, soul]. We have to understand that one starts developing and creating another type of nature when one knows how to transmute the sexual creative energy from the Psychikos body. The astral body is the first Psychikos body that is created. Before the creation of the astral body we have to fortify our vital body, which is also called Psychikos. This is why the Vital Soma Psychikos interrelates with the Emotional Psychikos body and with the two Pneumatikos or spiritual bodies [inferior and superior manas]. The inferior Soma Pneumatikon is the mental solar body. So, in a inferior alchemical level the mental solar body is called Pneumatikos because through it one can explain everything about the spirit, about the light. So, there are Psychikos bodies and there are Pneumatikos bodies, but we have to understand that these bodies are inside. We need to create those bodies by means of the sublimation of the sexual creative energy of the Vital Soma Psychikos.
Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump [the seventh]: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead [or psychological light particles of God] shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
And so it is also written.the first man Adam was made a living soul [psychē, meaning, it was made in the ethereal, astral and mental worlds: Vital, Astral and Mental]; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit [Pneuma, Causal or Superior Manas]. - I Corinthians 15: 51-52, 45
The first man or Adam was made Psyche, Psychikos, a living soul. This means that the first Adam that we read in the second chapter of Genesis was made Psychikon, namely, physical-ethereal, astral and mental, the four inferior sephiroth, since physical and ethereal are one, together they are called Psychikon Adam, the living soul; and the last Adam was a quickened spirit or Superior Pneumatikos, which is also called causal or Epouranios body. In other words, when one creates for his or her own use a solar astral body, solar mental body, and a solar vital body, one is called a Psychikos Adam, a Psychic Adam, a living soul. Yet, when one creates a causal or Epouranios body, which is related to the Spirit [Pneumatikos], to your Monad, then one is a spirit. Paul of Tarsus says one is a quickened spirit, because with the Epouranios body one can see how the glory of your Being shines not only in the physical world but mainly in the Mount Sinai, the heaven of the sixth dimension. This is how you are being born in heaven, this is the meaning of to be born again.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural (psychikon); and afterward that which is spiritual (pneumatikon). The first man [vital, astral and mental] is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven (Kirie Uranon). As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy (either: physical, vital, astral or mental): and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly [Uranon or Divine, Causal]. And as we have borne the image of the [vital, astral and mental] earthy [Adam], we shall also bear the image of the [Causal or Divine] heavenly [Adam in Tiphereth]. - I Corinthians 15:46-49”
In synthesis, we have to understand that the glory of the Lord shines not only physically, but in your Astral Body, in your mind, in your soul, in your Spirit. When you are reading the Bible and you are trying to comprehend what is written there but you realize that your glory is not that bright and you need to build more light, and that is the main point here. Building that light means changing your glory, the way of comprehending things. We start receiving the knowledge and comprehending things in a very subjective manner, but we want more light. That light is within you. You have to develop it by creating your existential Solar Bodies within you. It is called “Solar” because the Lord need to shine within them. Then, you will feel the doctrine. You will comprehend with your mind the doctrine; you will see with the Light the symbols in a very intuitive manner because that Light will give you that, and far more. That is developed while you annihilate your shadow, your ego, and make light within you. You work with those 12 hours of the Nychthemeron in different levels. That is why in this path it is necessary to memorize the 12 hours. It is not that much. So, when you see the clock in the internal planes, you know what your Sun, the Lord, is telling you. The Lord helps any soul, at any level but remember that He shines in different levels. The goal is to acquire Objective Reasoning in order to understand your God. But you have to have the vehicle for that; that vehicle has to be created – as Master Jesus stated in the Gospel of John:
Verily, verily, I say unto you, unless one is born of water [the sexual creative energy of the Vital Soma Psychikos] and of the Spirit [the solar energy, the Pneuma of Helios, the divine nature of Christ], one cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto you, you must be born again. The [solar] wind blows where it listen, and you hear the sound thereof, but cannot tell whence it comes, and whither it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
The kingdom of Heaven is related with the three spaces that we talked about in the beginning: Yetzirah, Briah, Atziluth – those are the spaces of the kingdom of Heaven. We are here in the very bottom, in Malkuth, which is the physical matter. Paul of Tarsus continues:
Now, this I say brethren that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. - 1 Corinthians 15:50
It is very clear there that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. What type of flesh and blood are we talking about here? It is the physical flesh. Many people in different sects of Christianity who read this verse do not realize what is stated there, namely that the physical flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. They think that in the Day of Judgment they will be raised from the grave with bones and muscles etc. because they believed in Jesus or because they were in this or that sect. They do not realize that it is stated that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. We have to transform our self, because it is also stated:
Neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
So, in order to be transformed, we have to build the Solar Bodies through chastity and to annihilate the ego. This is how from corruption comes incorruption and how the dead resurrects because we are, spiritually, dead. Remember that the Sun sets in the physical body; all the Light of the cosmos is setting in our physical body. Do we need to shine? Well, make your Sun rise. How does the Sun rise? In the East, towards your heart. That is why, when you see the sign of the Pentagram, in the middle of it you find the caduceus of Mercury.
In order for your Sun to shine, and in order to know how to walk between darkness (the moon) and light (the sun), you have to raise your sexual energy through your spinal column. You have to know the path of chastity. Do not get desperate if in the beginning you see only a little bit of light because, sometimes, in the horizon, the Sun is rising, but there are a lot of black clouds. All of us have a lot of black clouds meaning your mind, your ego in each of us.
That reminds me an experience that I had with the Master Samael Aun Weor. I was in a pool, and he was resting there, receiving a lot of light from the sun, and he called me and told me, “Do you want me to disintegrate a cloud?”
“How, Master, how are you going to disintegrate a cloud?”
“Look at that cloud.” He pointed to a cloud in the sky and said, “I am going to close my eyes and in two minutes it is going to be disintegrated.”
“Ok, I will watch it.” But since I always observed the sky, I knew that clouds dissolve by themselves, without the necessity of anyone. I thought, “I don’t know if he is tricking me or testing me.” “Well”, I said, “that cloud will disappear anyhow.”
And he said: “Is it disappearing?”
“Yes.” So, finally the cloud disappeared because they always disappear, right?
He said, “Did you see the power of a man?”
I said, “Yes”, but I understood that he was talking in similitude: the cloud was the mind, the ego, and he was doing it because he has the power to disintegrate an ego. Then, I addressed him and said, “Ok, Master, I understand, you can disintegrate the cloud; but I want you to disintegrate for me all the clouds that are there (and I pointed to the horizon).” There were thousands of black clouds. “Disintegrate that for me, please, that is what I want.”
Then, he said: “Well, that takes too much power. Let us wait.” But he, of course, understood my answer because I knew that the Lord was within him.
So, this is how the Masters talk intuitively to their disciples. Thank goodness I understood the meaning of that; but many other Gnostics that were talking to him, they did not understand and they knew that the clouds were disappearing anyhow, and they were confused.
This is the meaning: in order for your Sun to shine in your consciousness, you have to disintegrate all your clouds. But you cannot disintegrate all the clouds if you do not incarnate the Lord, because the Lord is fire (power).
For this corruptible must be transmuted into incorruption, and this mortal must be transmuted into immortality. So when this corruptible shall be transmuted into incorruption, and this mortal shall be transmuted into immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is your victory?- I Corinthians 15: 53-55
Such is precisely the mystery of the Nychthemeron. The Lord disintegrates all of the clouds in twelve "hours." Do not forget that.
Questions and Answers
Audience: You mentioned that we all came from our Star. [There is a correlation in meaning between the Star …?]
Instructor: That star in the Tree of Life is the Ain Soph. In the very depth of the consciousness all of us have this Ain Soph. That Star needs to know itself; it needs to develop. That is why that star throws its Ray that permeates the Ain Soph Aur, and from that Ray emerges all the Tree of Life and, finally, we are the end of it here (physically speaking). Now, here, He wants to withdraw, to take the Light back in order for that Star to shine, to have its own glory. That is precisely what we have to do. We are here in the very bottom. Sit down and know yourself, first in the physical level, and little by little you will go to other levels. One moment you will reach the Ain Soph again – to return to the source that you came from. Then, your glory will be 100% bright. But right now we are here; do not think that we are up there. The only thing that we can see is the physical world, because our glory is very low.
Audience: If Tiphereth is the heart, what is Hod?
Instructor: Well, when you point to the Tree of Life, you have to see that it is formed by three triangles: Kether, Chokmah, Binah. The other triangle is: Chesed, Geburah, Tiphereth and the other one is: Netzach, Hod and Yesod, right? We have three brains: the brains related to Yetzirah is as follows: Yesod, the sexual brain; Hod, the emotional brain; and Netzach, the mental brain. When you talk about the second triangle, then you find Tiphereth in the sex. Related with you heart is Geburah and Chesed is in your head. And then, when you talk about the supernal triangle, you put Binah in your sex, Chokmah in the heart and Kether in your head. But when we talk about all of them together (the whole Tree of Life), then Tiphereth is the heart; but, in order to understand the position of all the sephiroth in relation with your three brains, put always every triangle in relation with your three brains. This is how you understand it easily. Then you understand why Tiphereth, which is the heart, is related with Yesod (“you shall not fornicate”). Chokmah is the heart, Tiphereth is the heart, Hod is the heart. You see it with intuition. The Tree of Life is a chart and you should use your intuition in order to understand it. You should grasp that with your glory (not with you animal mind). Remember that in Tiphereth is your own Sun, shining through you. The Lord will start giving you Light accordance with your own level. Another question?
Audience: Can you give us a real life experience of thinking with your heart?
Instructor: When you have hunches. You are going to do something and you have a hunch of not doing it or doing something else, and you do not do it. That is the example. Remember that the moon is your mind, and it is difficult for the moon to understand what the heart understands. Another question?
Audience: Are you suggesting also that by waiting for the clouds to disintegrate by itself, as it is natural, this is an indication that the mind silences on its own?
Instructor: Yes, of course. If you do not pay attention to your thoughts, eventually, those “clouds” will disappear. That is the way of meditation – samadhi is a direct contact with you own Sun. But, while in the meditation, you find a lot of clouds and you comprehend one cloud and another cloud appears. So, you have to be patient. Comprehension is that is needed in order for the clouds to disappear. Another question?
Audience: About walking with the left leg and the right leg on the path, moon and sun, night and day; should we try to be conscious or try just to be an observer, while we are identifying with sensations and emotions?
Instructor: To walk with the moon and with the sun is done through comprehension, because the moon has to be full moon and the sun has to be shiny, at the zenith. So, that is to walk with two feet, to acquire comprehension, to overcome your ordeals when you are walking with the left (because, in this case, you are in the abyss, being attacked by your own demons – so, you have to comprehend your demons). If you are just there, observing and doing nothing, you are not walking on the path of the Lord. In order to walk on the path of the Lord, you have to comprehend. In the night, when you feel abandoned, you have to triple your effort of comprehension. To know yourself is to watch yourself in a mirror and not to turn back.
Audience: What is the right way to react when you are attacked by the ego?
Instructor: Do not forget your Being, remember your God. He is the one that has the Light to work against the darkness. Say the Prayer of the Lord (Our Father). Thats one of the best things that you can do while being attacked by your own demons (defects, vices, errors). Do you have another question?
Audience: You said that we should memorize the 12 Hours. Where can we find their meaning?
Instructor: The 12 Hours of Apollonius are in the back of “Tarot and Kabbalah”. The Master talks about that after the world of Malkuth. The 12 Hours of Apollonius start in Malkuth – because it is in Malkuth where we walk. First, the Master explains all the ten sephiroth, and, when reaching Malkuth he starts: “the first hour…” and the other Arcanum, which is the eleventh, is the second hour. Likewise until reaching all the 22 Arcana. So, of course, in there you find the meaning, in synthesis, of every hour. Remember that you can extend that hour if you meditate in each one because every hour has its own meaning, and the meaning that are given in the books are in synthesis. Do not forget this: the meaning of an hour depends on your own glory. If you want to enter in the higher hours of Pistis Sophia, which are the 12 repentances, you need to be a Bodhisattva. Another question?
Audience: The Ain symbolizes the 13th hour or…?
Instructor: The Master Samael Aun Weor explains that beyond the Ain Soph is the Ain, the thirteen Aeon, which is 13, death, complete destruction of the ego. That is the hour of liberation. To enter into that hour is the goal of every initiate. Usually, every initiate reaches the 12. To reach the 13th hour is something that few initiates can reach. Yet, in relation with ordinary self-realization every time that you disintegrate an ego, you pass beyond the 12 hour, and you enter into the 13 which is death. Then you enter into a new sunrise.
At the time before creation [in Ain, the 13th Aeon] there is no distinction, no darkness upon the face of the deep or division between heaven and the earth [energy and matter]. When, however, they became divided [in the Ain Soph], the earth [or matter] fell into a state of chaos and confusion (Tohu-Va-Bohu) and only by the action and silent operation of the heavenly light [of the Ain Soph Aur] can they again become united. When the light from the right hand of Elohim fell upon [malkuth] the earth, darkness from the left hand also went forth and encompassed it. Thus they became blended together, the light being hidden within the darkness. In order, however, that [malkuth] the earth might be blessed and become fertile and fruit bearing, Elohim divided and separated them, only to unite them again eventually as they are the complement of each other and from the evening and the morning shall be an eternal day [or light]. There is no day without night and no night without day in this world, and this sequence of the great law of the universe [grow and decay, life and death, evolution and devolution] will endure until the accomplishment and realization of the Psalmist's prophecy: 'Even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.'- Psalm 139: 12" - Zohar
Audience: Can we say that Malkuth or the bodies of physical people are “westerners”…?
Instructor: Oh, yes, because Malkuth is the West, so our bodies are westerners, because we, all the inhabitants of this planet earth have their bodies “in darkness”. We have to build a body of the Sun, of the East, in other words, Tiphereth, the causal body or body of Israel (in accordance with the Bible). That is why all the work that you do in yourself is a work in order to liberate Israel (the light particles of Elohim) from the West (Egypt), from slavery or darkness. I wish you a good sunrise.
The instructors who teach the lectures and courses are volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds. Each has years of experience teaching and working with the practices and exercises that awaken the consciousness. Since the goal of dharma, yoga, or gnosis is to follow our inner Being, and to focus on divinity not terrestrial personalities, the lecturers remain anonymous, and do not broadcast their names, faces, or personal information. They do not have spiritual titles or names, do not accept followers, and live their lives anonymously like any other person in society.
