Alchemical Archetypes of Genesis

Let us deeply comprehend all of these archetypal elements that every one one of us carries within. Comprehend this: the archetypes from the Book of Genesis are inside our Innermost.

As you can see, in the graphic, we see Rebekah and Isaac. In the picture we see Isaac, who is suffering blindness, and this is why at the very bottom of the picture we see Jacob passing as Esau, his twin brother; this, in order to receive the inheritance that Abraham (Chesed) gave to Isaac. In accordance to the sephirotic lineage, a Son of Isaac (Geburah) has to receive the inheritance, which is the divine blessing from above.

Rebekah advises Jacob to pass as, that is imitate or impersonate, Esau in order to receive the blessings from Isaac. We are going to explain the meaning of this, because these initiatic events, as they are written in the bible, are happening immediately after those events that we talked about in the last lecture.

In summary: Isaac was going to be sacrificed by Abraham. We explained in the former lecture that this sacrifice, that is, the sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham, is a transposition, we will say, of the spiritual elements of the physical world to the spiritual world. We stated that the mount Moria, where Abraham was going to perform such sacrifice, is the Sephirah Geburah. In that sacrifice—which is often seen depicted in different paintings—where Abraham is holding a knife (which is actually the flaming sword that the Monad, the initiate wins in the first initiation of major mysteries), that Abraham, that Chesed has to prove his mercy or his charity by giving his Son to the Almighty, who is at the top left column of the tree of life, the Sephirah Binah; Jehovah Elohim.

We explained that this sacrifice, that happens in any initiate, is where all the values that we gain in the first initiation of major mysteries, related to Malkuth (which is represented by Ishmael), must be absorbed by the Monad. The cutting of the life of Isaac is the cutting of the silver cord that unites those pneuma-psychological elements gained in the first initiation, by the sword of Abraham.

It is not that he is literally going to sacrifice his son’s physicality, as some might interpret, by slaughtering his son on the altar of sacrifice and inserting the knife into his heart. Remember that the silver cord energetically connects the soul to the physical body at the level of the solar plexus and then branches out to different areas of the physical body, e.g. the heart, the liver, etc., thus, when the silver cord is cut, the life then is absorbed by the Monad in the superior worlds, and in the physical world remains an empty house, the cadaver.

God is the mercy of mercies and he in no way wants to leave the physical body, or the physical person, the initiate in the physical world, poor. In Kabbalah the physical body is that “poverty” that needs the richness of the heavens, and if that silver cord is cut then those values that we gained in the first initiation are absorbed and we do not physically enjoy them. However, thanks to that angel that advises Abraham to cut the silver cord of Isaac, those values still remain, even though they are up there in the Monad not in the physical body; yet, somehow, they are still united with Ishmael, which represents the physical body. So, though those elements were absorbed from the physicality into the Monad, in this way the initiate always receives from his or her Monad, the inspiration, the spiritual guidance that he already gained.

The Monad gives that to the physical body in measurement, according to its needs, because he knows that the physicality of any one of us is a den of egos, defects, vices and errors that we built because of our transgressions in eating of the fruit of the Tree of Good and Evil. All of this is precisely the drama that any initiate lives physically and spiritually in order to return to the Promised Land, which is Eden. This is precisely the meaning of the sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham. It is something very important to remember, since now we are going to follow Genesis in sequence, in order to study more deeply about Abraham. We have stated that Abraham symbolizes the innermost.

Ha Shem

Here we find the Tree of Life, this in order for us to understand deeply what the book of the Zohar always explains cryptically, in an open and clear manner. We need to develop an understanding and comprehension of the letters of the Hebrew Kabbalah, and the Tree of Life. It is stated that the Bible is the word of God and it is. But, it is the written word of God, and that word of God was written with Hebrew letters; and, there are twenty two letters in the Hebrew alphabet. So, it is important to understand that the prophets wrote the Bible—and especially the book of Genesis—in a very cryptic manner, in order that only those who are serious and who walk on the path of self-realization would then be able to uncover its secrets. Now we are giving this knowledge openly to humanity because it is necessary for humanity to know the mysteries of the Bible, the word of God. And, for that, we have to be knowledgeable in the letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

Let us study these four letters that relate to the Hebrew alphabet. In the first triangle of the tree of Life we find the letter Aleph and we show how with the letter Aleph we write the words El אל, and אלה Elah, and אלהים Elohim; which are always names given in the Hebrew Kabbalistic language to divinity. Above this letter Aleph we find the letter Hei ה in Yellow. This letter Hei is the letter that is always repeated in the holy name of God יהוה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei. The letter Hei is the symbol of the feminine aspect of divinity. If we were to align the Holy name of God on our physicality, Iod is in the head; Hei is in the throat, because the throat is another uterus, within which the word is gestated; the letter Vav ו represents the spinal column; and, the last Hei is the sexual organs, which creates life physically, spiritually and psychologically. This is how we place the Holy name of God; Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, in our physicality. This is very important to understand because the letter Hei is spelled הא, Hei-Aleph. This means that within the letter הא Hei is hidden א Aleph. Hei ה represents the throat where א Aleph, the breath, is gestated. Thus, the breath, א Aleph, emanates from the throat, the letter הא Hei.

In the second triangle is the letter Shin and in the third triangle is the letter Mem. Aleph-Shin-Mem; these three letters are what we call the three Mother letters in Kabballah, which hide different meanings. We have placed these letters on this graphic in this manner in order for us to visualize the Tree of Life and to understand what the written word in the Bible is telling us.

As an example, let us study the names Abraham and Sarah, which we always talk about. Abraham is the main name that we always point to because Abraham represents the Innermost, the Monad, and the Holy Spirit in each one of us. It is written:

“Neither shall thy name any more be called אברם Abram, but thy name shall be אברהם Abraham... As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name שרי Sarai, but שרה Sarah shall her name be.” - Genesis 17: 5, 15

Abraham is written with the letters אברהם Aleph–Beth-Reish-Hei-Mem. If we take the letters א Aleph and ב Beth from the name אברהם Abraham, then we form the word אב Abba, which in Hebrew means Father. If we take the letter א Aleph and ם Mem-final, which is the last letter of the name אברהם Abraham, and the ה Hei, then we form the word Amah אמה which means Mother in Hebrew. The letter Reish ר in the name אברהם Abraham represents Rosh, the head. So, in the word אברהם Abraham we find that אבר Aber is the Father in the head, and Amah אמה the Mother in the throat, united as one, there in Daath, the throat, below the head; this is a disambiguation of the androgynism of the name Abraham, that explains the unfoldment of these archetypes within each one of us. Abraham represents the male aspect in us.

Now, שרי Sarai, who is the wife of Abraham, is another anagram; she represents the Divine Mother. Sarai is written שרי Shin-Reish-Iod, Sharai, but is pronounced Sarai. The letter ר Reish of the word Sharai or Sarai represents the head. In that way we know that the letter Reish, the Rosh, the head of Sarai relates to the upper triangle of the Tree of Life. When the ה Hei is added to her name, then she is שרה Sarah, she then specifically represents the throat. This is why we place Sarai in the Sephirah Daath. Remember that Daath means knowledge and relates to the throat.

So, Abraham אברהם and Sarah שרה in Daath represent the two aspects of Jehovah Elohim that unfold from Binah. They are what we call אב Abba and Amah אמה. Sometimes we say אב Abba-Father and אימה Aimah-Mother. So, that is why Abraham אברהם alchemically means the Father-Mother from the High or the exalted Father-Mother, since we can also see that Amah אמה, the Mother, is also hidden within his name. So, the two Heis of יהוה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei are in Sarah שרה and אברהם Abraham, here in the throat.

The Abraham that we find in Chesed is an unfoldment of Abraham in Daath, the throat. We always state that Abraham, the Spirit, our Monad, our Innermost, is an unfoldment that emerges from the Trinity. In order for Kether-Chokmah-Binah, the Trinity, to engender Abraham-Chesed, it has to be divided into two. The trinity performs this through the Sephirah Binah, by becoming Father and Mother, or אב Abba and אימה Aimah אלהים Elohim. This is how Abraham-Chesed emerges from the Trinity as our own particular, individual spirit. So, remember that Abraham above Chesed represents other parts of the being, that is, the Father, who is the Holy Spirit, and the Divine Mother, above. Thus, the Holy Spirit is Abba and אימה Aimah אלהים Elohim, and each one of the two contains the Father and the Son within, since Kether and Chokmah are within Binah, the Holy Spirit. This is how we alchemically see the Trinity within the duality. Now, let us read the first words of Genesis.

In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth.”  - Genesis 1: 1

Here, on the Tree of Life, the heavens are the Sephiroth above the earth, which is Malkuth, the last Sephirah at the very bottom. Then we read,

“And the earth was formless and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. But the Spirit of God, the Ruach Elohim, was hovering above the face of the waters.” - Genesis 1: 2

The spirit, Ruach in Hebrew, is Chesed; Ruach in Hebrew also means wind. In the world of the archetypes, Ruach is אל El, Chesed which is Abraham and Geburah is אלהים גיבור Elohim Gibor. Gibor in Hebrew means male, hero, valiant, valorous, brave; so, אלהים גיבור Elohim Gibor is the male אלהים Elohim; when we address Geburah we are addressing Gabriel, Geburel, Gebura-el, the male Elohim, Isaac the son of אל El, Chesed, Abraham. This is why we find that Genesis states:

“And the Ruach Elohim was hovering above the face of the waters.” - Genesis 1: 2

Here, Genesis is talking about our own particular Monad, because our Monad is formed by Atman-Buddhi, as the Master Samael states. Atman-Buddhi is the Ruach Elohim, or Chesed and Geburah in each one of us. Thus, in the first initiation, at the esoteric age of one hundred years, the archetypes or the spiritual values of the physical body are absorbed by the Ruach Elohim, that is, by Geburah and Chesed.

At one hundred years old (in esoteric age), the Divine Soul fuses with the Innermost, and so a new master is born within the internal worlds.” - Samael Aun Weor

Thus, when the Monad attains the first initiation of the Major Mysteries, that Monad gains the right to be called master in the Superior Worlds. Not in the physical world, because remember that those values where absorbed by the Monad, but indeed there is a union between what we call Ishmael—which is the physicality of each one of us—with those values, because each of us has to continue the path into Yesod, Hod, Netzach, Tiphereth, etc., in order to travel up all of the Sephiroth of the Tree of Life. This is why it is very important for us to understand and comprehend the position of the three mother letters; Mem in the third triangle, Shin in the second triangle, and Aleph in the first, and the letter Hei above them. If you read these four letters together, you will read הא-שם Ha-Shem, a phrase which means, “behold the name.” Hashem without א Aleph is השם Ha’Shem, meaning, “the name.”

So, when a Kabbalist says Hashem הא-שם (Ha-Shem), he is obviously saying, “behold the name”; that is, the Tree of Life and the Ain Soph from where the tree emerged, as if uniting all of these four elements of the being in one body. To self-realize oneself is to behold הא-שם Ha-Shem, the name, in us. That's precisely our goal. In our physicality, the laboratory of the alchemist is from where we take all the elements that we need in order to perform all of this. Those elements are symbolized in the three mother letters, namely, the letter Mem which symbolizes water, the letter Shin which symbolizes fire, and the letter Aleph which symbolizes the wind, the air. These three alchemical elements are in our physicality, where the letter Iod represents the salt of the Earth. We see this salt, or letter Iod, in the shape of the letters א Aleph, ש Shin and מ Mem.

This Alchemical Kabbalistic point of view helps us to comprehend what many books in the Bible talk about. For instance, let us study the letter י Iod יוד  or salt of the earth in מים Mayim, the inferior waters and שמים Shamayim, the superior waters of heaven, as it is alchemically written in Proverbs, Chapter 30, Verse 4:

During sexual alchemy

Who [mi מי] went up to [shamayim שמים] Heaven and descended (into the heart),

Who [mi מי] has gathered (in the heart) the [רוח ruach] spirit [or wind] in his fists

Who [mi מי] has bound [mayim מים ] waters (of above and below) in his garment

Who [mi מי] stirs up [הקים hakim] all of the Earth (physicality)'s insignificant things

What [Mah מה] is the (שמה Shemah) name [of (moshe משה) the ends of ארץ arets, the Earth]

And (ו) what [Mah מה] [are the two last letters in the name אברהם Abraham]

The [שמו shemu] name of their son. דעת Daath know this! - Proverbs 30: 4

Surely thou knowest! says one translation. But then you might say, ‘I don't know this,’ right? You do not know it, because this is written in an Alchemical Kabbalistic manner.

Listen, in order for you to understand this, the letter מ Mem symbolizes מים -Mayim, water and we find that Heavens is written shamayim שמים in Hebrew. The phrase, “the heavens,” is written HaShamayim השמים, and has all the letters that we are naming here. Remember, the Letter Aleph is hidden within the letter Hei. We find the letter Iod in HaShamayim השמים and also in המים Hamayim, “the waters.” Only by adding the letter ש Shin to המים Hamayim, we then read HaShamayim השמים, “the heavens.” So המים Hamayim, the waters, are down here, on the lower part of the Tree of Life. If we read the word המים Hamayim backwards then we find the two words מי Mi and מה Mah. Mi מי and Mah מה represent the two polarities of המים Hamayim, the waters. Mi מי has the letter Iod, which symbolizes the masculine aspect; Mah מה has a letter Hei, which symbolizes the feminine aspect; these are the masculine and feminine aspects of המים Hamayim, the waters. So when we are talking about מי Mi and מה Mah, we are talking about אל El and אלה Elah, the two polarities of יהוה אלהים Iod-Havah Elohim, Binah, which rules the third triangle of the Tree of Life. These two polarities are described as follows:

“And אלהים Elohim said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of (המים Hamayim) the waters, and let it divide the waters (Mi מי) from the waters (Mah מה).” Genesis 1: 6

The waters, המים Hamayim,מי Mi and מה Mah, are the masculine and feminine polarities of the fluids in our physicality; they are represented in the cerebral spinal fluid and in the genitalia fluid. Mi מי is related with the brain and the Medulla, and is also called the heavens, HaShamayim השמים. The creative waters of sexuality in the genitalia are symbolized by the letter מ Mem and ה Hei, מה Mah. Mah מה relates with the genitalia and is called המים Hamayim. So, the brain and the medulla contain the masculine polarity of the waters called מי Mi and the genitalia contain the feminine polarity of the waters called מה Mah. The cerebral spinal fluid and the genitalia fluid, are both “semen,” alchemically speaking. So, we have those two waters, מי Mi and מה Mah, in our physicality.

Thus, what Proverbs 30: 4 is telling us is, alchemically speaking, very simple: it says that the Shakti potential of the waters (מי Mi and מה Mah), which is Iod Hei, יה Jah, went up to heaven and descended. But, if you are not an alchemist, you don’t know how. Through the transmutation of the sexual energy, the מי Mi goes up and descends in the heart, because in the sexual act,מי Mi stirs up all of (מה Mah) the Earth’s insignificant things – remember, the Earth is always feminine. So in order to understand the work, you have to use reasoning; you have to use מי Mi, your head, your brain, when you start doing the work.

We, as animals, have all in our physicality. Behold, we are the only animals that think, that reason. So by knowing the doctrine of Alchemy and Kabbalah this is how we utilize מי Mi and control the most difficult waters, which are the sexual waters of מה Mah. In order for you to do that you need to mentally concentrate onמי Mi, the masculine waters of your head, in order to control מה Mah, the feminine waters of your genitalia. This is why Proverbs says: Who[mi מי] stirs up [הקים hakim] all of the Earth’s insignificant things (the archetypes). (מה־שמו Mah-Shemu-What is her name),’ right? Name is שמה Shemah or שם Shem, in Hebrew.

Listen, Shin, Mem, Hei, שמה Shemah, “name” in Hebrew, is the name of ארץ arets (the Earth), and שמה Shemah contains מה Mah, the feminine Water. Mah מה is (‘what’ in Hebrew) and is at the end of אברהם Abraham, who is the שם Shem, the name of their Son in us if we work with המים Hamayim, the waters. In the beginning the Ruach Elohim were hovering upon the face of the waters. What waters? Our waters. This is what we are talking about. And if we concentrate on our Innermost then we start doing the work with מי Mi and מה Mah. Which is what the book of Genesis states:

These [אלה] are the annals of the [archetypes of the] heavens and of the earth [by Abraham, Be-hibaram בהבראםwhen they were created,] in the day that יהוה אלהים [Jehovah Elohim, Binah] made the Earth and the Heavens.”
 - Genesis 2: 4

[Behibaram בהבראם] is an anagram of ב'אברהם beAbraham (by Abraham).

How is it that יהוה אלהים Jehovah Elohim makes the heavens and the earth inside of us? It is thanks to Mi מי and Mah מה, that is, thanks to המים Hamayim, the waters. This is how we understand, how everything is performed alchemically within us. This is why in Kabbalah it is stated:

“The universe was created for the sake of Abraham.”

If you don't know Kabbalah and Alchemy you might say ‘What, the entire universe was created just for Abraham, someone that came about five thousand years ago? The whole universe was created for the sake of that prophet?’ This is too much, right? But if you understand that the Innermost, Abraham, lives within you and within every single human being, you understand that the whole universe is forces, namely, Atziluth, Briah, Yetzirah and Assiah, that come into your physicality. All of this is created for the sake of the Innermost, Abraham, the Monad. If the Monad takes advantage of all of those forces then all creation, all of what is written in Genesis, begins. However, Abraham has to hover above מי Mi and מה Mah, in all your central nervous system. This is why it is written that the central nervous system is the throne of Abraham, the throne of the Innermost, the Spirit.

The Zohar states:

The explanation of the forming of the names אלהים Elohim and אברהם Abraham is as follows: “[יהוה Iod-Havah] The holy one” took מי Mi [who] and joined it to [אלה -Eleh-these] and this formed אלהים Elohim [גיבור Gibor in Geburah]. He also took מה Mah [what], and joining it to אבר Abr, and formed Abraham [in Chesed]. - Zohar

So, the forming of the names אלהים Elohim and אברהם Abraham is as follows: Iod-Havah יהוה the holy one, took מי Mi which in Hebrew means, ‘who,’ and joined it to אלה Eleh (these archetypes) and thus forms אלהים Elohim. This אלהים Elohim is here in Geburah, it is Isaac, the first initiation of the major mysteries, where the Monad is becoming an אלהים Elohim, a God, because he knows how to eat from the fruit of the Tree of Good and Evil. Remember, it is written:

For Elohim do know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be like אלהים Elohim, gods, knowing good and evil.” - Genesis 3: 5

In Atziluth, we find Elohim אלהים precisely in the Sephiroth Binah, Geburah and Hod. In Atziluth, Binah is יהוה אלהים Iod-Havah Elohim, Geburah is אלהים גיבור Elohim-Gibor, Hod is אלהים צבאות Elohim-Tzabaoth. Genesis states: “You shall be like אלהים Elohim, gods.” It does not say, “you shall be like יהוה אלהים Iod-Havah Elohim above in Binah.” No! If your Monad, that is, your אברם Abram enters initiation, then he becomes אברהם Abraham

This only means that the initiate entered the current which leads to Nirvana.” - Samael Aun Weor.

And if as Abraham, the Monad enters the alchemical initiation of Netzach in Yetzirah, he will then develop as Elohim, which is the name of Netzach in Yetzirah, the world of formation.

Ignoramuses interpret ‘ye shall be like אלהים Elohim,’ as if we—with our filthy mind and with the ego very fat in Klipoth—are going to be like יהוה אלהים Iod-Havah Elohim, above in Binah... So, you shall be like אלהים Elohim, gods, knowing good and evilis not addressing the filthy egos of religious fanatic intellectual animals, but the Innermost, the Monad, the Chesed and Geburah of initiates.

Ancient Gnostics stated: “All of you will become Elohim if you leave Egypt and pass through the Red Sea (the ocean of temptations).” - Samael Aun Weor

The Monad, אל El, אברם Abram, Chesed, can become as אלהים Elohim if He takes Mah מה (Hebrew for ‘what’) and joins it to ברא Bria, or in other words אבר Abr, and thus become אברהם Abraham, who is Chesed. This means that Chesed has to take, from Geburah, the shakti potential of the waters of מצרימה Mitzrahimah-Egypt; if not, then the Monad continues to exist as it is, a שד Shed from כשדים Kashedim. Kashedim כשדים is translated as Chaldeans in the Bible.

Kashedim כשדים means: demon, devil, fiend, goblin, gremlin, sprite, bogey, fantom, genie, ghost, ghoul, gnome, hobgoblin, incubus, kobold, phantom, puck, shade, spirit, bogy, daredevil, etc.

So, “Get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father`s house, to the land that I will show you.” - Genesis 12: 1

Elohim is Geburah, Chesed is אל El, Abraham, the two of them, form the Ruach Elohim. This is the birth of a new master in heaven. That is the main point here. Now, it is written:

But thou, Israel (Tiphereth), are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.” Isaiah 41: 8

Abraham loved Elohim, this why it is said that he was a very close friend of God, a lover of Elohim, Binah, above; this is the Greek Agape. This is how we have to understand the archetypes, in order not to fall into mistakes which would be to interpret these things literally, and in this physical world. This is because all of these archetypes, or as we would say all of these masters that came to represent all of these archetypes within us, were also physically incarnated. Abraham was a prophet, Isaac as well, Jacob, Joseph and all of the other prophets that we find the Bible. Each one of them represents an archetype that we need to develop. Humanity, those in Christianity for instance, misunderstood the message of that higher archetype which we call Jesus Christ and they do not understand that this archetype is within us. Also the Jewish people, and the Muslims normally don’t understand that Abraham is something within, that we have to develop. They just identify with the physical sequence or lineage, the physical incarnation of the personages who came to represent that particular archetype every one of us carries within, without studying the meaning of the message that each one of them brought to humanity. But here, we are unveiling and explaining all of this in order for us to understand what the Zohar states, and many of the parts of the Bible that explain this. This is why you have to study all of the graphics that we put here, so that we can comprehend all of these symbols, the cryptic language of Kabbalah, in order to understand the Bible.

Abrham Isaac Jacob Joseph

For instance, behold here the three patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who has Joseph in his arms. Joseph is another archetype that is very important for us to study in order to understand how Genesis unfolds.

The Letter Aleph

Now let us delve into the mystery of אלף Aleph. When you read the alphabet in Hebrew you will find that אלף Aleph in Arabic is Alif and means bull, ox, cattle, cow. Aleph אלף is the first letter. That is why in ancient times Aleph was often represented as the head of an ox, with big horns. The great master’s kabbalistic initiates changed it, thus now we find אלף Aleph as it is in this day and age. We also find that the Egyptian bull Apis begins with A. This bull has its meaning. Bull is also the Brahma bull in India that represents virility; male sexual virility or fertility.

א-ברם [exalted bull] ברא-מה Bra-Mah [Abraham]Goddess Hathor

י-צ-חק IOd-Tzadik-Chaq [Isaac – follower of IO]

י-עקב IOd-Acab [Jacob - holding IO by the hoof]

י-סוף IOd-Soph [Joseph – IO’s reed]

Four alchemist worshipers of “IO,” or הבקר Ha-Baqar, the cow, רבקה Rebekah, the sacred young cow, the Egyptian Goddess Hathor.

So in the word Abram you see א-ברם Aleph-Beth-Reish-Mem, which cryptically in this anagram means ‘exalted bull.’ We find the same letters of אברם Abram or אברהם Abraham in בראמה Brahma. We understand that since א-ברם ‘exalted bull’ represents the masculine sexual force in us, in the cerebral spinal fluid, as מה Mah of בראמה Brahma, which is הבקר Ha-Baqar, the cow, רבקה Rebekah, who represents the genitalia, the feminine sexual force in us.

IO

Alchemically, the letter ד Daleth of יוד Iod, relates to the names of the four Patriarchs above, and יו IO to the worshiping of the Goddess Ιώ IO of Greek mythology. IO was the Greek Goddess Ιώ that was transformed into a cow in order to escape from the hate of Rhea, the wife of Jupiter, IO-PETER. Jupiter transformed himself into a Bull in order to fecundate יו IO. Behold Aleph אלף is a symbol that contains the letter יוד Iod twice, which we understand as the א Aleph of Abram א-ברם [exalted bull], אברהם Abraham, Bra-Mah, ברא-מה, fecundating the Hei ה of שרה Sarah in the Rosh ראש, the head, see? This is how we alchemically see the Hebrew anagram of the name אברהם Abraham and שרה Sarah.

Now, behold how we split the anagram of Isaac: י-צ-חק Iod-Tzadik-Chaq (Chet-Quf) means, “Isaac – follower of IO.” We see the י Iod, the צ Tzadik, the חק Chaq (Chet-Quf). יצחק Isaac means the chaste, the Tzadik, or follower of IO, or follower of the letter Iod. This is because in the letter Iod we find a Shakti potential with which we can create, spiritually speaking.

Remember that Enoch, who was the incarnation of the Angel Metatron, was the creator of the twenty two letters of the Hebrew alphabet and he states that the river that comes from Eden resembles the Yad יד, hand of the Most High:

Rabbi ישמעאל Ishmael said, Metatron said to me: In that moment [יד ימין - Yad Yamin] the Right Hand of the most high was weeping. And there went forth from its five fingers five rivers of tears and fell down into the great sea and shook the whole earth, according as it is written:

"The earth is utterly broken down (1), the earth is clean dissolved (2), the earth is moved exceedingly (3). The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard (4), and shall be removed like a cottage. (5)" – Isaiah 24: 19, 20.

The Hand of God

Hand in Hebrew is יד Yad, Iod 10 + Daleth 4 is = 14, 1 + 4 = 5; These five times correspond to the fingers of his Great Right Hand.” - Third Book of Enoch

"And a river went out of (the right hand-יד ימין - Yad Yamin-of the most high in Daath) Eden to water (Yesod, as the ו Vav or spinal medulla, of) the garden (Malkuth); and from thence (the ו Vav of יסוד Yesod) it was parted, and became into four heads (the ד Daleth of יוד Iod)." - Genesis 2: 10

That river is the sexual energy. That is why the letter י Iod is the first letter written in Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, because the Shakti potential, through which God creates, is in the letter Iod, acting in the different levels that we are talking about here, in our physicality. Iod (head), Hei (throat), Vav (spinal medulla), Hei (sexual organs): Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei. This is in us, the holy name of God. So, Isaac means, the follower of the י Iod, IO.

Jacob is written י-עקב Iod-Acab (Ayin-Quf-Beth), holding IO, the י Iod, by the hoof, or holding the power of IO in other words, which is the sexual potency. Remember that Jacob was born after Esau. It is stated that Esau came out of the womb of Rebekah, and that Jacob was holding the heel of Esau as he was coming out. This is why Jacob means ‘holding the hoof’ or the heel of Esau. Related with Genesis, let us recall what Jehovah Elohim said when sentencing the perpetrators of fornication, he began with Eve:

“And Jehovah Elohim said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And Jehovah Elohim said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed….” - Genesis 3: 13, 14

The serpent represents the secret of IO, the י Iod, the feminine sexual creative fire, in the י Iod of יסוד Yesod, used in the wrong way. That is why it is written:

“And I will put enmity between thee and (Ram-IO) the woman (Serpent), and between thy seed (the seed of fornication) and her seed [the seed of transmutation]; it (the seed of transmutation) shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise (the י Iod of) his עקב Acab, heel.” - Genesis 3: 15

This enmity is within us. How do we experience this enmity? We experience this enmity inside of us when we start creating, alchemically, what we have to create within; then we find that the ego, which is the seed of the serpent, is our enemy. However all of the solar aspects that we are alchemically creating through transmutation are the seed of IO, the woman-serpent Kundalini. The chaste woman represents the Divine Mother Kundalini, who also represents the sacred cow, worshiped in India. This sacred cow is Rebekah, whose name means ‘Young Cow’ in Hebrew. This is why Rebekah was the wife of Isaac.

Let us study now the anagram of the name Joseph which is י-סוף Iod-Soph (Joseph – IO’s reed) Iod-Soph [י-סוף], the reed or staff of IO. That is the meaning of his name. We find here then the four alchemist worshipers of “IO” or רבקה Rebekah, the sacred young cow, the Egyptian Goddess Hathor. This is because all of them went into Egypt. The Egyptians knew about these symbols, the archetypes that we are explaining here. Thus, Alif, Aleph represents the bull, the cow, the ox.

Chapter 29 of Exodus is pure and legitimate black magic. In that chapter, unjustly attributed to Moses, the ritualistic ceremony of cattle sacrifice is minutely described. The lunar race mortally hates the sacred cow. The solar race adores the sacred cow.” - Samael aun Weor

So, “אברהם Abraham [ברא-מה Bra-Mah], Isaac [י-צ-חק Iod-Tzadik-Haq], Jacob [י-עקב Iod-Acab], Joseph [י-סוף Iod-Soph], were always worshippers of [Iod] the sacred cow, “IO,” or of the Egyptian Goddess Isis; yet Moses already, or better said, Ezra (the reformer, who altered the teachings of Moses), demanded the sacrifice of the cow and the calf. Thus, let the blood fall upon everyone’s head, especially their children’s.

The sacred cow is the symbol of the Divine Mother, Isis, whom no mortal has ever yet unveiled.” - Samael Aun Weor

Ignoramuses attribute the alterations of Ezra to Moses. However Moses never taught cattle sacrifice, because משה Moshe, Moses is שמה Shemah the name of the Earth; so, משה Moshe is השם Ha’Shem, meaning, “the name,"  of another worshiper of “IO,” the cow. The cow represents Malkuth, the physicality and not only in the Hebrew manner. People are always entangled in alchemical symbols. In India they still worship the cow and the bull. Let us study these symbols through the lens of Hinduism.

Devi Shailputri and Lord Dattatreya

Here we find Devi Shailputri, who is one of the nine incarnations of Durga, the Divine Mother, wife of Shiva, Binah. This Devi is represented with four arms and is always depicted riding on a bull. We also find the Lord Dattatreya who is also symbolized with four arms and always accompanying a bull. These alchemical symbols are very profound. The fours arms represent the four kabbalistic worlds or the four manifested divine feminine aspects; we find also these four aspects in the bible, as the four wives of Jacob. Remember that according to these patriarchs they were four aspects, or four arms of Devi Shailputri, the divine mother, the cow, namely: Sarah, Rebekah, Leah and Rachael. Those are the four matriarchs represented in the four arms. The four arms of Lord Dattatreya are the four patriarchs, namely: Abraham (the bull of Bramah), Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, who is another worshiper of the cow. This is how we alchemically see these symbols and this is how it is hidden in the bible. Remember that cattle always represents a divine force within each one of us. About these patriarchs Samael Aun Weor wrote:

The Innermost [Abraham] is the Sephirah Chesed, and Buddhi is [Isaac] the Sephirah
Geburah. The Innermost and Buddhi [Abraham and Isaac] express themselves through [Jacob] the Human Soul. The Human Soul is Tiphereth, willpower, beauty [Japheth].”

Japheth יפתis the third son of Noah, and is a name, a word which in Hebrew means “beauty.” That is why we always say that Tiphereth means beauty, but really Tiphereth means splendour. Tiphereth is beauty when it relates to Japheth who is the causal body, the third son of Noah.

Therefore, the Innermost, with his two Souls, the Divine and Human, officiates on his throne, which is the central nervous system.”

The central nervous system is in us. This is where the human soul, the spiritual soul and the innermost work. This is why we take advantage and always take care of the central nervous system.

"The Innermost is crowned with [Kether, Chokmah, Binah] the Sephirothic Crown. The Innermost abides in [the central nervous system] his temple. The temple of the Innermost has two columns, Jachin and Boaz. Jachin is the mind and Boaz is the
Astral Body. The mind is the Sephirah Netzach and the Astral Body is the Sephirah Hod. These two columns of the temple are sustained upon the Cubic Stone of Yesod. This Cubic Stone also serves as a foundation for [our physicality] malkuth, the Kingdom [of Ishmael].” - Samael Aun Weor

Ishmael

Let us now study the name ישמעאל Ishmael according to the three mothers letters. Of course the first letter of ישמעאל Ishmael is י Iod, which is the Shakti potential—found in the three mother letters—that we work with. The second letter is ש Shin, which is the fire in the heart; then מ Mem, which is the water in Yesod, sex. These three form the word, ישמע Ishma, which means “ he who listens, who hears.” Then we have the letters ע Ayin and א Aleph, two "A's."  Aleph א symbolizes the breath, that connects the heart to ע Ayin, the pineal and pituitary glands, the spiritual eyes, in the head, by means of the letter ל Lamed, of אל El, God. In other words, ישמעאל Ishmael emerges from the very bottom: the Iod is the Shakti potential of the sexual energy hidden in the מ Mem of סמך Samech, the מים Mayim, fluids of יסוד Yesod, it is the ש Shin [fire] that is heard, שמע Shemah, by your own סמאל Samael, the feminine divine breath, א Aleph, that must rise from אש Esh, the fires of your heart to ע Ayin, the spiritual eyes in the head, through ל Lamed, above the head.. This is how we understand the symbolism of this word in our physicality, in the Tree of Life.

So, in other words the name Ishmael, Ishma-El means, ‘he who listens to God.’ And, when you break up the name in this way, ‘Ish-mael,’ it means that in order to listen to El אל God, you have to put into activity the fluids of your spinal medulla. Ishmael, the historical personage, existed, but the symbol of Ishmael represents the physicality of all of us; whether you are Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, a Taoist, or whatever, this is how we call the physicality in Kabbalah, ‘Ishmael.’

To state that Ishmael only relates to certain earthly races is wrong; it might be related with those races, but Ishmael is also an archetype, which was represented by a master many thousands of years ago. We know that there are still many people identified with that personality, just as are they identified with the personality of Jesus, the personality of Abraham, and all of those great masters that came to represent those aspects that we have within. So, remember always that ‘Ishmael’ is your physicality and this is how you find it in Malkuth. This is why Genesis states that Ishmael was the son of Hagar, the Egyptian slave, which is Malkuth. Study the graphic of the Tree of Life and you will see there the unfoldment of these archetypes.

Now let us read what the Zohar states, which is very important, it relates to the letter Aleph, which, before we explained, means bull, cow, cattle, ox.

The (upper right יוד Iod in the shape of the) letter aleph symbolizes (the head, Kether) the beginning and (the lower left יוד Iod in יסוד Yesod, the ninth sphere, symbolizes) the end (the genitalia). Throughout (the four worlds of kabbalah) the universe, all classes of beings (Elohim) are (in their central nervous system, letter Vav) impressed with its signature, both those in heaven and those on earth."

In synthesis the letter Aleph symbolizes the head, the spinal medulla and the sexual organs; or, the two waters, superior and inferior (the upper and lower Iods), and the firmament (the spinal medulla, the Vav) in the middle of those Iods or waters. Such is the symbol of the letter Aleph, Alif, the cow, the bull, the ox.

"Though it includes many forms, yet they (the Elohim) are but one (אחד Ehad) full letter (Aleph)."

The word אחד Ehad means “one,” and this is why the first letter of the word Ehad אחד, is Aleph, the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and which relates to the first triangle. The second letter of Ehad אחד is ח Chet, the 8th letter of the Hebrew alphabet. This represents the eight Sephiroth beneath Kether, since Kether, the first Sephirah, represents Aleph; Chokmah, Binah, Chesed, Geburah, Tiphereth, Netzach, Hod, and Yesod, are the eight Sephiroth underneath Kether. The letter Daleth of Ehad אחד represents Malkuth. Daleth is the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which represents the four worlds of Kabbalah, the four arms or four rivers of Eden, four elements, the four seasons and all the four aspects of Malkuth, since Malkuth is represented by the four equal arms of a cross. Daleth literally means “door.” Thus, this is the meaning of the word Ehad אחד: the entire tree of life is but one Ehad אחד.

In the word Ehad אחד we see that the ד Daleth is the entrance into initiation, since ד Daleth means door. Thus, our physicality, Malkuth, is ד Daleth. How do we enter through ד Daleth? We enter by knowing דעת Daath, meaning knowledge. ד Daleth also hides the meaning of עדן Eden. All of these Hebrew words with ד Daleth hide the Tetragrammaton within. As it is written:

Hear, Israel: יהוה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei is our Elohim, יהוה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei is - ehad אחד - one.” - Deuteronomy 6:4

We could not understand all the mysteries of the Light if we do not know something about the Two Ones: the manifested [אחד Ehad] One and the unmanifested [אחד Ehad] One. Aelohim is the unknowable and unmanifested [אחד Ehad] One. Elohim is the manifested [אחד Ehad] One.

Moses prohibited the moulding of images of Aelohim. Yet, he never prohibited the sculpting or allegorizing of the manifested Elohim. It is impossible to symbolize or allegorize the unknowable One.

Nevertheless, the manifested One, the knowable Elohim, can be allegorized or symbolized. The manifested Elohim is constituted by the Demiurge Creator of the universe.” - The Pistis Sophia Unveiled by Samael Aun Weor

This is why it is very important to study the number four, the Tetragrammaton, Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, which is one, Ehad אחד.

"By the higher part (the upper Iod) of it (the letter Aleph) is symbolized the divine mind and thought, as also the upper firmament of the spiritual world.

Beneath it (the upper Iod), in the middle of Aleph is the letter Vav, the numerical value of which is six, denoting the six degrees (of objective reasoning) between the Supreme Mind and (Binah) the firmament above the חיות הקדש Chaioth, or "the hidden living creatures."

Seraphim1

You know Chaioth Ha Kadosh, are the four living creatures of Ezekiel: the lion, the bull, the eagle, and the man. Those are the four Chaioth Ha Kadosh that we name in the invocation of Solomon. They are in between the six pointed star, which means, the six degrees of objective reasoning, developed in the spinal medulla, which is where initiates develop the six degrees of objective reasoning in this universe. It implies not only the head, but all of the central nervous system, which is the throne of the spirit, who is the one who acquires objective reasoning and which is expressed through the human soul.

"The light emanating from the Divine (or upper Iod) is expressed in the word "Berasheeth," of which the first part, ברא bra, contains the initial letters of the name אברהם Abraham, to which scripture refers in Genesis 18: 1:"

Following, the Kabbalists of the Zohar explain how the trimurti or three Logoi—namely, Father-Son-Holy Spirit or Kether-Chokmah-Binah—sequentially develop or manifest, as a solar unity, through the patriarchs.

Abraham: “And יה וה Iod-Havah appeared to Abraham as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day (midday, when the sun is very strong).”

The esoteric meaning of which is as follows: When Abraham (Chesed) sat at the door of his tent; that is, at (Daath) the gate separating the (three) higher (Sephiroth) and (the seven) lower (sephirotic) world, symbolized by the letter Aleph, he felt the great heat of the day; that is, he became mentally and spiritually enlightened by the divine light of the First Logos (Kether, the Father)

Because Abraham is actually the unfoldment of the Father and his name means “Exalted Father.”

"The light of the Second Logos (Chokmah, the Son) was beheld by Isaac (Geburah) when, in the cool of the evening and the sun was going down, he prayed for the coming of this light, as it is written:

And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the evening.”- Genesis 24: 63

Chokmah, the second Logos, is the one that descends into the Bodhisattva, and descends even further down to give light to the underworld. Chokmah means “Wisdom” in Hebrew.

The light of the Third Logos (Binah – The Holy Spirit), that proceeds from the (union of the) other two, was that seen by Jacob (Tiphereth), as it is written in Genesis 32: 31:

And as he (Jacob) passed, peniel (which is Yesod) the sun rose upon him (and settled on his mind, Netzach) and he halted upon his thigh (Netzach)

At the evening he beheld the light (of Binah, the Holy Spirit, reaching his mind) called and known as the Netzach of Israel (victory of Israel - Tiphereth), and he halted on his thigh, because this light of sephirothic origin constitutes the thigh in the sephirothic figure (or tree of life). His thigh, not thighs, for as just said, he beheld the light of Netzach (one of the three sephiroth from the third triangle), which is only' of the fourth degree (four initiation of major mysteries).” – Zohar

You see, in the third triangle, Netzach relates to one leg, or one thigh, and Hod relates to the other thigh or leg. Yesod relates to the sexual organs. This means that the work that Jacob was doing was directly related with the triangle of Holy Spirit, because the third triangle connects the thighs directly to the sexual organs. Thus, when you read ‘thigh’ in the Bible, understand that thigh is pointing to the sexual organs, the phallus or to the female genitalia. This is what we have to understand. In this case, the halting of Jacob on his thigh, after he wrestled with the angel, is a fight related with the sexual force. He was fighting in Yesod, struggling until the solar light of his genitalia began to rise to his brain, that is, transmuting his sexual force towards his brain (Netzach). This is why it is written:

Jacob Israel Gustave Moreau

Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for (in Yetzirah) as a שרית Shurith, “prince” (a heir of שרי Sarai) hast thou power with אלהים Elohim (in Netzach-Aries) and with אנשים Enoshim (in Yesod-Scorpio), and has prevailed.” - Genesis 32: 28

In other words: Under the light of Netzach your eyes were opened, thus, you are no longer Jacob but the Elohim Israel, knowing good and evil.

So, all of these alchemical mysteries are hidden in the letter Aleph. What you read here is taken straight from the Zohar; we wrote between brackets many alchemical explanations in order to make it more understandable for all of those that follow the bible, however, we have to know Alchemy in order to know how to read and understand the word of God. Let us now read what master Samael Aun Weor wrote in relation with the letter Daleth, the number four. He says:

In the words Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, we find the mystery of the Tetragrammaton (the Holy Four), the four worlds, the four elements. More profoundly, we find our Being, our most complete Divinity. From the Ain Soph, which is a Super-Divine Atom of each one of us, the three
Primary Forces (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) emanate and give their final synthesis: 3 + 1 = 4. Tetragrammaton is יהוה This is the sacred summation of the number four.” - Samael aun Weor

Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, the Ain Soph and, the Holy Trinity or the supreme explanation of the name of God; as we explain Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei also represent the head, throat, spinal medulla and sex, in us. As above so below, and as below so above.

Synthesis

- The master is formed by Atman-Buddhi.
- Atman is [Gedulah] the Innermost.
- Buddhi is [Geburah] the Divine Soul, meaning the Divine Consciousness of [Abraham] the Innermost.
- When a Logos wants to redeem a world, it emanates from itself a celestial prototype formed by Atman-Buddhi [Chesed-Geburah].
 - Samael Aun Weor

Kether-Chokmah-Binah together form the Logos of the first triangle; Chesed-Geburah is what in Buddhism we call a Dhyani Bodhisattva, this is a very highly developed being.

The Logos is the Sephirothic Crown, the individual Ray from which the Innermost [Abraham] Himself emanated. This Ray is Triune; it is the Holy Trinity within each one of us.
- Thus, every Logos is Triune.
- The Father is Kether, the Elder of Days.
- The Son is Chokmah, the Cosmic Christ in us.
- The Holy Spirit is Binah, the Divine Mother in us.
- The Mother carries a lamp in her hand. That lamp is [Abraham] the Innermost who burns within our heart.” - Samael Aun Weor

This is what Master Samael Aun Weor explains in many of his books and repeats in different ways, in order for us to understand, not only the Bible, but other scriptures from various cultures. If we insist on talking about the Bible, it is because in this western world it is what people are most familiar with. But they only believe in what is written they do not know what they are reading; with these explanations, only those souls that are very eager to know the meaning of the bible will understand. Master Samael Aun Weor also said:

Pennate Gods

A lethargy of innumerable centuries weigh upon the ancient mysteries. Nonetheless, the Pennate Gods [the Teraphim] continue to exist within the parallel universes. The Hierophants can converse with these Pennate Gods [the Teraphim], who are regents of cities, countries, towns, and homes, while in the suprasensible worlds of the superior dimensions of space.
The blessed protector of a town is a Pennate God [a Teraph] or holy Guardian Angel. The secret rector of any city is its special Deity. The Protector Spirit of any family is its spiritual director.
All of these Genii or mysterious “Jinns” of family, race, nation, tribe, or clan, certainly are the
Pennate Gods [the Teraphim] of ancient times, who continue to exist in the Superior Worlds.
We have conversed many times with these Pennate Gods, regents of ancient classical cities.
Some of them are suffering the unspeakable, paying terrible karmic debts.” - Samael Aun Weor

Above, we have the image of Tobias, who was guided by three archangels, namely, Michael on the left, Raphael in the centre, and Gabriel holding a lily, in the book of Tobias—which is not in the official Bible—however, you find in the book of Tobias what we are talking about here.

Previously, we were talking about these archetypal aspects of the Pennate Gods. When we talked about the כשד Kashed, כשדים Kashedim, or שדי Shaddai, we explained that these are the different Hebrew meanings of Kashedim כשדים which is what the bible translates as Chaldeans. We explained that these archetypal aspects are the symbol of those Monads that are still not in initiation.

And תרח Terah took Abram his son, and לוט Lot the son of הרן Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and the מאור “source of light” that they brought with them was from the כשדים Chashedim, to go into the land of Canaan [central nervous system]; and they came unto חרן Haran, and dwelt there.” - Genesis 11: 31

El Shaddai

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of (El Shaddai - אל שדי) God Almighty, but by my name (יהוה) Iod-Havah was I not known to them.” - Exodus 6: 3

The Pennate Gods of the classical Greco-Roman mythology are the biblical תרפים Teraphim. We mention this because according to the Bible, in the book of Genesis, it is stated that Laban, the brother of Rebekah and wife of Isaac, had called in the תרפים Teraphim in his tent and was worshiping the תרפים Teraphim.

People who do not know anything about Kabbalah and Alchemy always imagine that the תרפים Teraphim are certain idols made of clay, or other materials, that ignorant people were worshiping. However, we have to understand that ancient people always worshiped those forces that in this day and age we call the guardian Angels, or archetypes. This is because we have to work with all of these forces within, and all of these forces are connected to the forces of nature. Master Samael says that some of those Pennate Gods are suffering, paying a lot of karma because they are initiates or masters that are in process of development and are in charge of the forces of nature. We, the Gnostics, work with the forces of nature that work through the elementals; and, we know that every elemental is a soul of any plant, which belongs to a family, and that such a family is guided by one of a group of Angels that in ancient times were called Teraphim or Pennate. Here, for instance, we understand that each one of us, individually speaking, have our own particular guardian angel, or guide, who is spiritually guiding us if we follow the divine law.

Listen: every city in this world, even when modern skeptical people no longer believe anymore in the pennate Gods, is always guided by the spiritual forces, the forces of Karma, that the Pennate Gods are manipulating. You can see this in the elements of nature that are in disorganized development in this day and age. If you study the tradition of Judaism, they state that the God or the Angel who guides the Jews is the Angel Michael, the ruler of the Sun, the Solar Logos. This is why it is written:

Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” - Revelation 5: 5

On all of the earth we always find Archangels and Angels that are in charge of certain cities, races and groups, etc. This is how you understand and comprehend how in ancient times people were worshiping the Gods. However when we talk about Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, it is a superior force that is translated in the Bible as Jehovah. Master Samael Aun Weor explains very well in his book Igneous Rose who Jehovah is:

The widest variety of interpretations about Jehovah has been given by the occultists. However, none of them have been able to satisfactory explain who Jehovah is, or how and in what manner He created all the living beings that populate the face of the earth. When we penetrate into the internal worlds, we then comprehend that the Lord Jehovah is a Guru-Deva. He is the chief of all Angelic or Devic evolution. Only in this manner can we explain the creation of all things, as told in the book of Genesis.

Angels or Devas governs all the elementals of the whole of creation. The supreme commander of the Angelic or Devic evolution governs all the Devas, with all the elementals of the whole of creation. This commander is the Lord Jehovah.” - Samael Aun Weor

Thus, the Lord Jehovah is the head, the top of the pyramid of the Angelic Hierarchy of Yetzirah. That is why Jehovah, or יהוה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, which is how his name is written in the Bible, said: “Thou shalt have none other gods above me.” since Jehovah is on the top. Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei יהוה, also relates to other holy names of God in the tree of life in Atziluth.

Before entering the straight path, people always follow these Pennate Gods or spiritual forces from the spiral of life. In India for instance you see a lot of this and sometimes they build a symbol of that God which is in a lower rank from Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei. However they are in charge, according to the law of Karma, of applying that karma to that particular area, town, city, not only in India... but everywhere. Indeed, in different places and in different races these Pennate Gods or Teraphim were worshiped. In the case of Laban, he had the symbols of these in a special place. All of these Angels or Elohim, were in charge of those forces and this is how we understand this because even in these times, for instance in the Catholic Church, you find many statues of different deities.

Angels are represented in the Teraphim that control the forces of nature; such as in the Aztec pantheon, Mayan pantheon, or other pantheons of Native America, where we find those symbols, statues that ignoramuses call idols.

 The Golem

There are many esoteric things that we have to explain in order to understand what an idol is, and about this we touched on a little bit in the past lecture. Another word related to idol, is the word גולם Golem, which is actually very significant. All alchemists and Kabbalists know that a Golem is an animated, anthropomorphic being, made of clay. Golem גולם in Hebrew actually means ‘stupid, idiot, dummy.’ This is why the Kabbalists said that in the beginning, the mind, emotion and physicality of Adam was made, through the mechanical evolution of nature, into the image of the Elohim; better said, the intellectual animal was made into the image of the Elohim, but this lunar creature was only a dummy, an idol, a golem, an idiot.

If that Adam would have been mentally, psychologically wise, he would not have eaten the forbidden fruit... but he did. Why? Because he was an idiot; he didn’t know. However, we are learning now not to become Golems, because most of this humanity in which we are in right now, are populated by Golems, “made of clay” or as Genesis states: “And Jehovah Elohim formed Adam of the dust of the ground.” (Genesis 2: 7). Esotericism explains that these are individuals that think, that reason, but really they are not wise; they fight each other over acronym-names, over religions that in their essence are the same. Only Golems do this; but, a human being made into the image of Elohim, which is the Tzalem, the breath of life, that through sexual alchemy is breathed through his nostrils by his own God, is different, he is a living soul. This image is what in Greek is called the eidolon. If you create inside of you the Greek eidolon, then that is something... then you are very ahead of the Golems. Golems are everywhere, acting like human beings without any soul, without any spirituality, easy to move. In Judaism you find many Rabbi’s who can create a Golem, artificial life. Not only in Judaism but in Tibet where with certain procedures that the Tibetans know, they can create a living creature that will obey, that will act like a robot, like an android, with life. You will see this person and they will look like a human being but it is really a golem, it is just a creature created by certain magical forces, energies that only the great initiates can manipulate.

We find also other Golems in Voodoo, which is also called black magic: certain individuals carve in wood, or make with clay, certain images or make a doll with wax and through that they hurt the neighbor. In other words, they perform black magic. They make an idol in order to, through that idol, concentrate their mental force and hurt the neighbor. So we find these type of Golems in a positive and in a negative way.

The Bible also talks about the positive and negative Gin, djinn or genii that existed after the flood. In ancient times the Jewish people, Muslims, etc, were worshiping the white Gin, djinn or genii, because there also exist black Gin, djinn or genii that manipulate negative forces. They were making idols made of certain material in order for the Kashedim to come and assist them, and they were worshiping them. Listen, you have to understand it is not just the physical element there in front of those individuals, behind that is an incorporeal force that we are naming here, Kashedim.

“All of the native tribes from the continent of America are Atlantean remnants. These tribes preserved many practices of black magic that were derived from the Atlanteans. In America, there are some who make dolls with wax and then bury them with pins. This is how they empower their imagination and concentrate their minds on their victims. There are others who utilize the sexual forces with destructive purposes. The whole of this originated in Atlantis.” - Samael Aun Weor

There are different levels of Kashedim: Laban in the Bible was worshiping the Teraphim, which represents those guardian Angels of his own town or his own race, because in that epoch people were not blind, they still had the capability of seeing, and thus respecting, those Angels. However they fell into black magic by making those idols or by making those Golems, this time not to worship gods or angels however, but to perform voodoo. As Master Samael said:

The Atlanteans had degenerated a great deal, and had now started using their awesome powers for evil and anthropophagi. Their magical science became black, and with these changes came horrible devices. The Atlanteans could now create a mental monster that could crystallize into existence through their willpower. This monster needed blood as food to stay alive.” - Samael Aun Weor

This was hurting humanity and this is why it was commanded onto them:

Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I יהוה Jehovah your אלהים Elohim am a jealous אל El, God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.” - Deuteronomy 5: 8-10

Thus, we must not do that; we have to worship the higher God, which is Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, יהוה Jehovah. This is written in the Bible, but why is it written after the flood? It is because ancient people were doing this, especially in Atlantis, where they were creating androids with black magic, that in this day and age are called Golems, which people think is fantastical... Unfortunately, it is not divine power. I repeat: there are many among the Natives of America, in the Caribbean Islands and in Canada that do that in order to hurt others, and they are enjoying it because they think that they are moving the forces of nature. Yes, they are moving the forces of nature, but with evil spirits, evil forces. Remember, in nature everything is double: positive and negative. Unfortunately, it is much easier to develop in a negative way, and this is how they do it in order to show power, Klipothic power, because it belongs to the inferno or inferior dimensions.

Still in Judaism they name Shaddai or El Shaddai אל שדי, the God Shaddai or what they call the Almighty God (אל שדי) who is the guardian of ד Daleth, the door. You see the ד Daleth in his name; the guardian of ד Daleth, the door, the entrance that they always touch and respect. But there is a meaning in it and that is related with the word Teraphim. We have to understand this, in order to respect other religions, because unfortunately in the pantheon of many other religions you find these symbols of Gods of the ancient times that ancients honor by building or carving in stone or in wood the image of them, in order to attract the force and to receive the help, the aid. But humanity lost that and this is very painful; the only thing that remains among us is voodoo, and sadly this is what they do. They no longer know how to attract the higher forces, in order for them to receive aid, but instead attract the klipothic, demonic forces from the devils, in order to hurt others and to practice their sorcery, their witchcraft. And, on that base, or foundation, they are building their karma. Indeed, such people are devolving.

In other areas of the world, such as in India, you find different symbols of those forces, spiritual forces of nature that act through those people that worship these forces. However, they see that there are simple people, who know how to see those forces, as any animal can see them. Any cat, any dog or horse can see those forces; they see them, but they are not capable of intellectual reasoning, so therefore, they respect those forces.

This is what happens in the development of Isaac, which is an archetype that follows after Abraham who was going to sacrifice him. The angel of Jehovah appears and says ‘Don’t do that, don’t cut the silver cord.’ That is, keep it united with Ishmael, because through Ishmael we will help, but we will remain here in Mount Moria. When Sarah knew about this unfoldment she died and then Isaac was an orphan without a mother. However the path has to continue, and the forces of Isaac have to descend to Yesod and to go up to Daath in the second initiation of the Major Mysteries. This is how it starts: remember that Malkuth relates to Abraham-Chesed, but Isaac-Geburah relates to Yesod, this is why it is written that Isaac and Rebekah who came from the land of Laban start working in Yesod. This Laban represents the superior forces of Eden. Genesis states:

Tree of Life

"And a river - ונהר VavNahar - went out of (the right hand-יד ימין - Yad Yamin-of the most high in Daath) Eden to water (Yesod, as the ו Vav or spinal medulla, of) the garden (Malkuth); and from Shem - ומשם VaMaShem (the ו Vav of  Iod-Havah יהוה in יסוד Yesod) it was parted, and became into four heads (the ד Daleth of יוד Iod)." - Genesis 2: 10

Yad Yamin יד ימין means either right arm or right hand in Hebrew, this is how it is written:

Shem-שם the first (son of Noah), is Pishon: this is the one which flows through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold: And the gold of that land is good; bdellium and the onyx stone are there.”

This Pishon is Geburah. The gold is the sexual forces of the male in Malkuth, because the positive force of Elohim Gibor goes down from Geburah into Malkuth, this male force is Ishmael, who receives the strength from Geburah in order to practice sexual alchemy in Yesod.

From Geburah also comes Rebekah, who is the second aspect of the Shekinah or the Divine Mother; she descends on a camel (or letter גמל Gimel) from the light of the Chaldeans or M’aur Kashedim באור כשדים which is how it is written in Hebrew. Thus, the land of the Kashedim כשדים or Chaldeans is above in Daath. And from there, Rebekah comes down riding (as Samael) on a גמל gamel, camel, in order to marry Isaac, that is, in order to practice sexual magic in Yesod-Eden. As it is written:

And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.” - Genesis 24: 67

Isaac also had four wives (representing the four rivers of Eden), all contained within Rebekah, as it is written: "And took Rebekah", which is one, "and she became his wife," which is two; "and he loved her," which is three "and Isaac was comforted after his mother," which is four."- Zohar

Rabbi Jehudah wonders why Rebekah got down from the camel when she saw Isaac coming, and if it was because she saw how beautiful he was. Rabbi Shimon says that when Rebekah met Isaac it was Minchah (afternoon prayer) time, during which there is a strict Judgment (because of the descent of the solar light from Binah to Geburah into Yesod, sex). Rebekah saw that this (solar light) was symbolized by the camel (Nephesh or animal instictual sexual force) as the secret of (Saturn) death (in the animal kingdom, since all beasts lose their Ens Vitutis or power of the Holy Spirit, Binah, by means of their bestial orgasm). Rabbi Shimon explains how the camel (גמל gamal) is like requital (גמל gmulo), and says that (in the desert of life) the camel (or bestial sexual appetite) is all-devouring and all-exterminating (of חיה Chaiah, life), always ready to work against (the chaste) men (who walk in במדבר Bemidbar, the wilderness), just like (karma) judgment and death. He says that the גמל gamal, camel (symbol of bestial sexual appetite) brought death into the world by inciting Adam and Eve (to bestial orgasm, that is,) to eat from the Tree of Knowledge. The camel's rider (or cosmic intelligence) is Samael (the ens virtutis or intelligence of fire) who (through the knowledge of Ens Virtutis) come to confuse (intellectual fornicator animals) and bring (psychological) death to (the egos of) everyone (who enters into the path of initiation), Adam (the brain, through the orgasm) attracted him (the camel or bestial sexual appetite) and then (the creative fire of) Samael (through the sense of touch) led them all astray (from Eden). Therefore Rebekah got off the camel (or beastial sexual appetite) because she saw that Isaac had strict Judgment (from Geburah) attached to him. Rabbi Shimon also mentions the dross of gold (of the river Pishon) that is another aspect of strict judgment (of Geburah).” - Zohar

Genesis states that Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah’s tent. Sarah is the mother of Isaac and Sarah abides in Daath, the superior realms of Eden. Thus, Isaac, through sexual alchemy, brought the feminine forces of Rebekah from Yesod and rose them to his mother Sarah’s tent; this means to raise up the feminine sexual force to Daath, the throat, which is a feminine sexual organ.

The four heads of the river of Eden are related with the feminine creative sexual forces that we are addressing here, these are represented by the matriarchs. Remember, Mah, matriarchs, the Mem of אמה שלטת Amah Shelletoth (“matriarchy”); Sarah and Rebekah are two of them. Above in Daath we find the spirit of Sarah and Abraham, and below in Yesod, in the waters of Eden we find Isaac and Rebekah. This is precisely one of the meanings of the four heads of the river of Eden.

And the nameושם VaShem -  of the second river is Gihon: the same river that flows through the whole land of Cush [son of Ham].”

Cush is here. Cush is the son of the mind, the son of Ham the second son of Noah, and represents the forces of the mind. That is why, if we put the first river in Geburah, we then put the second in Chesed, because Cush is there and represents the central nervous system, the brain and spinal medulla: that is Cush. The whole land of Havilah represents the sexual organs of the male.

And the name - ושם VaShem - of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goes toward the east of Assyria. And the river - HaNahar Harabia והנהר הרביע - the fourth, to mate, “is Phrat” [הוא פרת Eua Phrat].” - Genesis 2: 10-14

The female body contains the third and fourth rivers, namely, the river Hiddekel which is in the heart. You see the woman is ‘heart’ and below Hiddekel is the river to mate, the Phrat or Eua-Phrat, Euphrates.

These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham and Japheth... And these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot. And Haran died before his father Terah in (Daath) the land of his nativity, in the light of the Chashedim באור כשדים.” - Genesis 10, 11  This is how it is written in Genesis.

The Hebrew word הרן Haran backwards is נהר Nahar. You know what נהר Nahar means in Hebrew? It means river. So, everything in the Bible is hidden in anagrams, in order for only the alchemists to see.

The land הרן Haran is the river נהר Nahar that streamed into four heads; both Hebrew names have the same letters, these are switched in order for those who are not worthy to be unable to grasp the meaning hidden within. This is how it was written in ancient times: only for those that were serious alchemists, they knew what they were reading and were discussing this with other initiates. Now we are revealing this for the whole of humanity because it is completely lost.

Haran הרן is the land of Sarah and Rebekah and also of the other two wives of Jacob; the four of them are above, in Daath. These represent the aspects of the creative energy that descend through initiation and that is why it is written that when Isaac impregnated Rebekah he had twins, Esau who represents the animal mind and Jacob, who represents the human soul. Jacob was holding the heel of Esau when Rebekah gave birth to them. Such is the esoteric meaning of:

“And I will put enmity between thee and (Ram-IO) the woman (Serpent), and between thy seed (the seed of fornication) and her seed [the seed of transmutation]; it (the seed of transmutation) shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise (the י Iod of) his עקב Acab, heel.” - Genesis 3: 15

Alchemically speaking, Jacob is י-עקב IOd-Acab, a prophetic accomplishment in the soul of any initiate. Let us explain this further, in order to elaborate more about this: Jacob took Esau by the heel, meaning, Jacob transmuted the seed-semen of the serpent or Nephesh, instinctual animal force, because Esau represents the seed-semen of the tempting serpent. Remember that the first seed of the tempting serpent was Cain, since Cain was a cultivator of the ground, the physicality. Cain was the first son of Eve, or sexual organ. In the case of Rebekah, Esau is her first born, which is also the outcome of the tempting serpent or the instinctual animal fire that descends from Geburah into Yesod. The alchemical meaning of Jacob holding the heel of Esau is that, during sexual alchemy, the soul of the initiate is holding his breath, in order to achieve what Moses achieved when he was in front of Jehovah, who said:

Moses

What is that in thine (יד Iod) hand? And Moses said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And Jehovah said unto Moses, Put forth thine (יד Iod) hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his (יד Iod) hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: That they may believe that Jehovah the Elohim of their fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, has appeared unto thee.” - Exodus 4: 2-5

The tail of the serpent is the (יוד Iod) phallus, which is Lematha למטה (“underneath, below”) the Matha מטה (“rod”) which symbolizes the spinal medulla. In other words, Jacob, as Moses, represents our willpower, that ‘holds’ or sublimates the sexual animal fire by holding the serpent by the tail, holding the power of IO by the tail, the heel of Esau, who represents the evolution of Cain, the animal mind, this is why Esau is a hunter. Cain was a cultivator of the ground, his physicality, only identifying with his physical incomes, so he brought of the fruit of the ground, his physicality, an offering to God. Esau is worse than Cain. Esau represents the mind which is already in initiation, but it is that cunning mind that develops as Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Jehovah. What is it that which Esau does? He goes to the field with a bow and arrow and hunts. This is precisely what happens to every initiate when entering onto the path. Many people get identify with this wisdom and they only want power. Esau, their mind is hunting for power, for ranks, for positions, in the physical world. They want their name to be pronounced, they want fame, ‘oh I am the master such and such’ and ‘the initiate such and such, follow me’ and unfortunately this is what happens in the mind of many initiates. In all parts of the world, not only in Gnosticism, when entering onto the path their mind wants followers, their mind wants worshipers and that mind is Esau; in search of proselytes they go into the world, hunting.

To sacrifice ourselves for humanity is positive, because we have to be charitable. Remember that Abraham, Chesed, is mercy, we have to study and teach the doctrine. The main point here is that we always have to worship our Innermost, we have to worship our God. Don’t worship anybody else, because that is wrong. Do not you make an idol of the teacher, this is precisely what the great master Krishnamurti emphasized in his lectures. ‘Forget about the speaker’, he says, analyze with me because the speaker is nobody.’ Krishnamurti was cutting, removing him from their mind, moment after moment, because this humanity has the habit of making, inside their mind, a golem of the initiate. But who is the one who likes this, within the initiate, within the teacher? Esau is the one who, on the path, in Eden in Yesod, goes parallel with Jacob, the consciousness: Jacob and Esau, the twins. So, understand that when you work with sexual alchemy in Yesod, you work with אל שדי El Shaddai, אל El is Chesed and שדי Shaddai is the strength of Yesod that descends from Isaac-Geburah; thus, Jacob is connected to Chesed and Esau to Geburah. So, in Yesod, you work with your inner Esau and Jacob, both of them. As it is written:

Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not. And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the (ידי Iodi) hands are the (Ida-Pingala) hands of Esau. And he discerned him not, because his (Ida-Pingala) hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him. And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And Jacob said, I am.” Genesis 27: 21-24

Esau was hairy like a beast, Jacob was not like that, Jacob was not hairy. This is significant.

Esau was a red head, red is related with fire. ‘The smell of Esau is as the smell of שדה shaddah which Jehovah has blessed;’ who knows if the smell of שדה shaddah is good or bad. But, Esau smells like שדה shaddah, the genitalia, since from it, the forces rise, even for the spirit.

Isaac-Geburah which is in the left column of the Tree of Life loves Esau, which represents the mind; not the solar mind, but the lunar animal mind.

"And Isaac loved Esau, for his hunting is in his (boasting) mouth; and Rebekah is loving Jacob." - Genesis 25: 28

This is because when the ego (which is the lunar mind) inside of us understands this doctrine, it feels great, then, it starts hunting for more knowledge in order to feel great, which is good, because the mind has to study this knowledge and this is why Isaac which is Geburah, the spiritual soul, loved Esau, the mind. Isaac loved Esau too much to the point that he became spiritually blind.  Rebekah, who is the Divine Mother, rising in the sushumna canal is loving Jacob, Tiphereth, the consciousness.

As Jacob did our consciousness must do, we have to take advantage of the beast in Yesod. As it is written:

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright (for a pottage of lentiles).” - Genesis 25: 29-34

After a period of time Isaac was old and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, but he can use the sense of touch instead, thus, he calls Esau and said:

My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I. And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death: Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.” - Genesis 27: 1-4

And Rebekah hears that and remembers that the Yad יד, hand, as well as the יוד Iod, the phallus, relate to the sense of touch. And what Eve said to the serpent:

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Elohim has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.” (Genesis 3: 3)

Thus Rebekah spoke unto Jacob her son, saying:

Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying, Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before Jehovah before my death. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee. Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth: And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.

And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man: My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing. And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them. And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved. And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son: And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck: And she gave the savoury meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob. And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?
And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me. And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because Jehovah thy Elohim brought it to me.”
- Genesis 27: 6-20

Meanwhile Esau is hunting, but Jacob is already ahead of him. So, here you see how the craftiness of the serpent develops in the soul, which is Jacob, the human soul.

When we enter into initiation that cunning goes into us, because when Isaac smells Jacob he said: ‘‘The smell of Esau is as the smell of שדה shaddah which Jehovah has blessed; shaddah is Eden,’ Eden is Yesod. The smell of Esau is the animal scent that you exude when you are transmuting the sexual energy, the alchemical meaning of it is as follows: When Jacob, the human soul is transmuting the sexual energy in Yesod, the scent then goes through Sushumna, the central cord, into the human soul, Tiphereth, and into the spiritual soul, (Isaac-Geburah), who through Ida (the left cord), smells the same animal scent from Yesod. Isaac-Geburah says: ‘Yes, this is the smell of Esau.’ Esau as lunar mind, is related with the lunar animal forces of Yesod. Lilith and Nahemah are completely lunar women, they relate to men and women who are not initiates, this is what the Bible states.

But Rebekah, the Divine Mother Kundalini, says ‘No, no, no; the blessing of Isaac-Geburah will not fall into Esau but into Jacob because Esau just likes these other women, who are not initiates.’ So this is how Isaac blesses Jacob, thinking that he is Esau because he loves Esau more than Jacob since Esau is always bringing things from the physical world, a lot of gifts to him. And you see Esau brings a lot and identifies with it. Thus, this is how our spiritual sight becomes blind, we can no longer see the truth because of Esau, our animal mind. This is precisely what happens with many initiates. We get too identified with this physical world that we become spiritually blind and we don’t see what we have to see. Thus, in the moment that we understand that with subtilty, Jacob, the human soul must take the blessing, then the development of the Bodhicitta starts in us, because the Bodhicitta is To Soma Psychikon in Greek. To Soma Psychikon or Bodhicitta develops in Yesod; which is the psyche that we start developing by knowing good and evil, thanks to the blessings that we receive from the Monad.

After Isaac blesses Jacob, Isaac recuperates his sight, of course, his spiritual sight, and Esau gets angry because of this, etc.. All of this which Genesis talks about is nothing but the unfoldment of the Bodhicitta in the Garden of Eden, in relation with initiation.

In the beginning, Cain kills Abel because Abel was stupid. Abel represents the embryo of human soul and Cain, the animal mind, who was stronger than the embryo of soul. But in the second initiation of Major Mysteries, Jacob represents Abel, the essence, that gets the cunning of the serpent because the embryo of soul was killed by Cain, the animal mind, and now the consciousness is taking advantage of Esau who is the evolution of Cain in order to overcome his mind and to go ahead in his initiation, by knowing good and evil. So this is a psychological development that happens in different levels to any initiate in Yesod. Master Samael stated:

“The Bodhicitta emerges in the aspirant who sacrifices himself for his fellowmen, long before the Mercurial bodies have been created.” - The Pistis Sophia Unveiled by Samael Aun Weor.

The Bodhicitta is born before the creation of the solar bodies, because the solar bodies relate to Hod Netzach and Tiphereth; the astral body, mental solar body and causal solar body. Thus, here in Yesod is where we have to develop the Bodhicitta. That is why all the initiates who are still single can work with themselves in order to develop that Bodhicitta beforehand.

Master Samael explains that the Vital Body, Yesod is constituted by four ethers namely: Luminous Ether, Reflective Ether, Chemical Ether, Ether of Life. In the second initiation of Major Mysteries, a division of these four ethers occurs.

The Chemical Ether is related with all biochemical and organic processes. The Ether of Life serves as a medium for the forces that work with the processes of reproduction of the races. Both of these Ethers relate to our physicality, the population of the species, and that is represented by Esau.

The Luminous ether is intimately related with the diverse functions of willpower and imagination. The Reflective ether is secretly associated with all the sensorial and extra-sensorial perceptions, and that is the Bodhiccita, which is represented by Jacob.

When those Ethers are developed in the second initiation of the Major Mysteries, those are the two twins that the Bible talks about; Esau and Jacob. And this is how Jacob starts working in the stone of Yesod and sees the ladder from Yesod up to heaven; the different stages that he has to gain by controlling the force of the Shekinah. The force of the Shekinah is related with Jacob’s four wives. Lea represents Daath, the upper part of Eden, and Rachael represents the lower, Yesod. Rachel descends in order to help the initiate to go up. Those forces are related with the world of archetypes in Yesod-Malkuth.

However, in order to work with those archetypes, the initiate has to work with the lower aspects of the letter Hei, which are in the physical world and are represented by the two maids. Genesis states that Leah had a maid whose name was Zilpah. She represents the physical world. Leah is above in Daath. Leah לאה is another anagram which means אלה Elah, Goddess. The Goddess Leah לאה or אלה Elah is above in Daath while Zilpah is below. This is why Jacob has children with the maid of Leah and also with the maid of Rachael whose name was Bilhah. They are the two aspects of the same force, above and below. This is how it is written in the book of Genesis.

It is not as people think that literally Jacob had four wives... maybe he did, maybe that personage that represented this archetype did, but that is not what we are talking about. What we are explaining here is alchemical and kabbalistic. There are many religious sects that justify polygamy by saying that Abraham had many wives, likewise Isaac and Jacob, etc. They say, since Abraham had many wives, as well as Isaac and Jacob, why not us? It is written in the Bible... Yes it is, but the book of Genesis and the entire Bible is alchemy and kabbalah; and Jacob’s wives represent the four aspects of Eden above and below. So when we talk about the four wives of Jacob, we are talking about the four rivers of Eden in relation with initiation, in relation with the path.

"Abraham also had four wives (representing the four rivers of Eden), namely, Sarah, Hagar, and two concubines, as it is written: "And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. But unto the sons of the concubines (plural), which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country." - Genesis 25: 5, 6" - Zohar

Do you follow this? Do you comprehend this? You should, because this is something that we have to know and to comprehend, these are alchemical aspects that we find in the Bible. Archetypes, elements that are written there, that people read literally. People merely follow the traditions that arose from these patriarchs—namely, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph—but, they ignore that these patriarchs represent archetypes within us, and that we have to develop. Moses and Elijah represent other archetypes that we have to develop.

Now, in regard to Jesus (Jeshuah, the savior) the Christ, he represents that archetype that emanates from the Ain Soph Aur, Kether, Chokmah, Binah, the Theomertmalogos, the Messiah, from which our Innermost, Chesed (Abraham) emerged. In the fifth initiation of the major mysteries, if we follow the straight path, we have to incarnate Jesus Christ and his twelve apostles, who are also archetypes, that we have to develop through Alchemy and Kabbalah. This is why it is written:

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.  Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?  Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” - John 8: 56-58

We should study the Bible under the light of Alchemy and Kabbalah in order to understand that it is a book that guides initiates, written for initiates, by initiates.

Humanity has the Bible, but unfortunately, they don’t know the meaning of it; they do not know how to interpret it. Religious fanatics are afraid of Kabbalah and the studies of Alchemy. However everything that is written in the Bible is related with these two sciences.

So, regarding Isaac, what we have to understand is the following: the forces of Isaac descend from Geburah; likewise, the forces of Rebekah, the young cow (who works in Yesod with him and develops the Bodhicitta) are that part of us that we have to develop. This means the awakening of the consciousness in the superior part of our physicality, because God is merciful. If Abraham, the Innermost would have had cut the silver cord of Isaac in the first initiation of the Major Mysteries, then he will remain there in Chesed as a Master Monad (a master in heaven) and here in Malkuth like a Golem, like stupid people that don’t know anything and that in the end go into devolution and are lost. But the angel of Jehovah, the mercy of mercies, called unto him out of heaven, and said:

Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest Elohim, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.” - Genesis 22: 11, 12

Meaning, ‘do not cut the silver cord’ because we have to take advantage of the cunning of the serpent in order to know good and evil, in order for you to become an Elohim in his own image. So, this is how Jacob-Tiphereth, through the Sushumna canal and Esau (the cunning of the serpent) through the Ida canal descend into Yesod, as children of Isaac-Geburah and from Rebekah into the garden of Eden, because one thing is the garden of Eden in Yesod and another is Eden in Daath. Both are creative forces represented in the two letter Hei of Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, in us.

Audience: In the book Popol Vuh there is a whole section on the hero twins Hunahpu and Xbalanque, would they be related to the twins of Esau and Jacob?

Instructor: Yes, Hunahpu and Xbalanque are also related to Alchemy, according to the Popol Vuh, which is another very profound alchemical book. But regarding Alchemy, we are just touching upon the symbols of these archetypes, Esau and Jecob, a little; they have more profound meanings. If we see Hunahpu and Xbalanque from another alchemical point of view, we would see Ida and Pingala, the two cords that sprout from Yesod, in them we see the moon and the sun, Ida Pingala that all of us work with.

Audience: And then become the sun and the moon...

Instructor: Yes, according to the Popol Vuh, Hunahpu and Xbalanque become the sun and the moon, and as we have stated, Esau represents the moon in Yesod, but he also represents the lunar animal mind. The lunar animal mind has to be transformed into human mind, a solar mind and that is the duty of Jacob, who as Moses has to do that.

Audience: What about the story of Achilles and the Achilles Heel, how would that relate to the...

Instructor: The Achilles Heel; it is the same thing, it has the same alchemical thing. The heel represents the power that we have in Yesod, sex; that is the heel. This is because the heel, the feet, represents, sex in Malkuth. The heel represents Yesod which is precisely the superior aspect of Malkuth and that is why Genesis says:

Ram IO

“And I will put enmity between thee and (Ram-IO) the woman (Serpent), and between thy seed (the seed of fornication) and her seed [the seed of transmutation]; it (the seed of transmutation) shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise (the י Iod of) his עקב Acab, heel.” - Genesis 3: 15

All of this is happening inside of us. The heel of Achilles is Yesod, sex. You might find a good lecturer, with a lot of wisdom; however in the moment of moments, in the crossing of the two sexual polarities, in the sexual act, in Yesod, if that lecturer fornicates, it is because he is unaware of his mind, his own Paris is throwing an arrow, poisoned with lust, to his Achilles’ heel and thus, he kills him. Which is what happened to Achilles! Achilles was a killer of his defects and vices. That is the meaning of it. Do you have any other questions? Think about it because I gave you all this in synthesis but remember that you have to study all the graphics given there in the pdf, because it is a compilation of many forces that we have to comprehend.

Audience: So you mentioned the quote in the Bible with the Ruach Elohim who hovers above the face of the waters, can we equate that to how we say we have to have the spirit over sexuality, or the mind over sexuality, mind over sex.

Speaker: Not the lunar mind, but רוח Ruach, Spirit Nous (νους), Solar Mind.

Audience: The spirit mind...

Speaker: If you follow your lunar mind you are lost. The lunar mind has to be controlled by Chesed, who is Nous (νους), the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim.

For whosoever has known the (νοῦς nous) mind of the Lord, the Lord can instruct him. And we have the (νοῦς Χριστός) Nous of Christ.” - Corintheans 2: 16

Audience: The symbol the circle over the cross is the symbol of Venus.

Speaker: Yes, the symbol of the circle above the cross is the symbol of Venus, love controlling the cross, controlling the matter, right. Love, Chesed, Gedulah, is precisely the Ruach Elohim because the Bible said that ‘In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the Earth.’ This is what happens in us; heaven and earth are already created there, but in an archetypal manner. The archetypes are there, in each one of us; we have the archetypes and we have the Earth, the physicality. But thereafter it is written: ‘And the earth was formless and void and darkness was upon the face of the abyss,’ which is our sub-consciousness, unconsciousness.

So, this is how we presently are. We are a Golem with the archetypes within, but we do not have them developed. However the Bible continues: ‘And the spirit of God (the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim) was hovering upon the face of the waters.’ What waters are the book of Genesis in the Bible talking about? These are the superior waters, which are the cerebral spinal nervous fluids and the sexual fluid or semen; those are the waters and the Ruach Elohim is Chesed and Geburah, the Innermost. Geburah is the spiritual soul or the spiritual consciousness of the spirit. Chesed and Geburah form the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim that hovers upon the face of those waters.  Ok, now we know where the waters are and where the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim is.

So, These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Jehovah Elohim made the earth and the heavens.” - Genesis 2: 4

These generative elements or genes are inside of me too, so if I pray to my רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim and if I follow the steps of alchemy, then [Behibaram בהבראם] my רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim, Abraham, Chesed, will say: ‘let there be light,’ and שרה Sarah, his wife, will answer: ‘And there was light.’ That is the first step.

That light starts developing in the first initiation of the Major Mysteries. This light develops within our physicality, because our earth is formless and void and darkness is upon the face of the abyss: we are in chaos right now, but we can make that light and then that light will be absorbed by the Monad, by Geburah. Then, a new master is born, because there is light in the abyss. That is why in Alchemy it is stated: ‘the Monad becomes a master of the day, of the light.’

Audience: So kind of adding into to that, there is a God in the Egyptian Pantheon, Neith and the symbol of Neith in the hieroglyphs is the serpent over the waters and it is circling around a big vase and it brings up the waters, it is the same kind of thing. Is Neith breathing over the waters, is that the same thing as Nephesh?

Speaker: Well Nephesh, Nephesh in this case is the animal soul. This is what the spirit, the Ruach Elohim has to control, the Nephesh. That Nephesh relates to our animality. Nephesh is a fornicator soul; but, to transform that Nephesh into a human being is to make of that Nephesh, a “Nephesh Chaiah,” a living soul and this is an alchemical process.

The first step is to recognize that Cain is inside of us, and through initiation, to develop that cunning that unfortunately took us from Eden, and instead to start that work that we explained today, with Eden, Isaac and Rebekah. This, in order to develop Jacob, the psyche, that needs to appear, which is an awakened master in this physical world.

For instance we find many initiates acquire the first initiation but they did not develop the second initiation very well. That is why in the book of Genesis you find in all of the days of Genesis it is written: ‘and Elohim saw that he was good,’ But in the second day it does not say that it was good. Why is it that in the second day Elohim does not say it was good? Because it related to this process, many initiates get identified with their Esau and do not pass beyond because they are identifying with their physical world: “I want to make money. Yes, I work with my spirituality, but I want to be recognized by intellectual animals, I want a house, I want a car, I want this, I want that.” Thus, their Esau is hunting, hunting and hunting. They are only identified with the first part of the equation, because we have to resolve an equation on this universe. The first part of the equation is to have a position in this physical world in order to survive.

The second part of the equation is the spiritual development and only if we are spiritually serious and do not identify with our Esau can we progress. Esau needs a degree or career in order to survive in this jungle, right? We all know this. But do not identify with this.

See the example of Master Samael Aun Weor, you are surviving in the physical world, but he was very concerned with the second part of the equation. See for instance Krishnamurti. Krishnamurti, when I see and hear his lectures on YouTube—that are now very popular—when he talks I see from him the Bodhicitta. He developed a lot of Bodhicitta in that superior part of his physicality and he shows it easily and guides and teaches to humanity.

You see the Dalai Lama also has part of his Bodhicitta, not completely developed, but it is there and it is working and doing his work; part, half and half. The first part of the equation is less important than the second part of the equation, but all of us here identify too much with the first part of the equation. We forget about the second and in the end we physically die and this is it.

Audience: So to use Esau through Jacob, to use Jacob is to use your physical life as a means to your spiritual life, right? Like in your job in order to take advantage of your physiological gymnasium, to meet people, to introduce people to things..

Speaker: Yes, we need the mind: we need the intellect in order to communicate with each other here. However do not rely only on the intellect, because then your Esau is going to be strong and your inner spiritual master will become blind because you are giving him only terrestrial things.

Remember that we have to rely on Rebekah, because Rebekah loved the Bodhicitta, (Jacob) very much. And thanks to Rebekah, Jacob gives food to Isaac which is the same as Eve giving the apple to Adam in Eden. Adam was dumb and he took and bit the apple and was condemned, but in this case it is different: Jacob, which is the outcome of the alchemical kabbalistic work that we are doing, makes the food and gives it to his Father. Understand, Rebekah is in the middle of the Sushumna canal and she takes the food from Yesod, sex; this is how Isaac eats from Jacob, and instead of becoming more blind, as he was because of Esau, he sees and recuperates his spiritual sight and keeps ahead on his alchemical work. We understand this because Isaac did not die after that; he lived a lot of years and recuperated his sight. This is the same thing that we have to do, in order to recuperate our spiritual sight: we have to annihilate the ego. We have to rely on Rebekah, the divine young cow, the Divine Mother Kundalini, who always helps us if we meditate and enter onto the alchemical path.

Audience: You mentioned the word Yod Shin Mem Aleph and you said it represents the physical body?

Speaker: ישמעאל Ishmael.

Audience: Yes, so wouldn’t the fire be after the Mem, shouldn’t it be Mem, I mean according to the Tree of Life, isn’t the Mem below the Shin?

Speaker: Only in the name of Ishmael, you said right.

Audience: Yes it is kind of switched in Ishmael.

Speaker: It is not switched. What is being shown here, in this name, is that the water is the habitat of the fire. So, when you start working with Shin in your Mem, that is Issshh-Mmm. These are the fires of the water that you have to work with. Doesn’t mean you have to work with Mem only and forget about the fires of the heart. The Shin relates to the second triangle and the Iod is there. ישמע Issshhh-ma and then it goes up to אל EL, Chesed, and forms Ishmael ישמעאל which is your head, your central nervous system. Tthis is how the physical body has to work with the heart, with the Shakti potential first.

The Shakti potential of the Divine Mother is Iod, and Iod is written Iod-Vav-Daleth, because Daleth is the fourth letter that hides the mystery of the four rivers of Eden, the four wives of Jacob, or the four matriarchs. All of this is in us.

So, we work with that Iod in the fire, because the Mother is the fire. The astral signature of the fire is Kundalini, the Divine Mother. Isssshhh - fire. יש-מע-אל Ish-Mah-El. That is the physicality of each one of us.

Remember that the name Ishmael ישמעאל means, “he who listens to God,” so listen to אל EL-Chesed, your inner God, and in order to listen to your inner God you have to work with your spinal medulla. Also, remember that in Buddhism, the first level of instruction, the first level of development is called Sravakayana, which in Sanskrit means, “Yana-vehicle and Sravaka-listener.” So, we can see how these two, the Hebrew Ishmael and the Sanskrit Sravakayana, relate to each other, both represent our vehicle, Malkuth, our physicality.

Then, as we progress, ישמעאל Ishmael will continue physically working with all the archetypes of ישראל Israel, in all the initiations. From Ishmael ישמעאל comes all the prophets. Ishmael ישמעאל represents the physicality that I believe we talked about in ‘Moses, the Mystery of Baphomet.’ In that lecture, we talked about what Master Hilarion Nine said, that Hagar symbolizes Egypt, Arabia, Malkuth, as we are explaining here. He says Sarah and Hagar represent two women, two covenants or two ways in which we receive the doctrine. Here, the way that you are learning now, listening, you are being Ishmael, you are receiving the doctrine of Hagar, you are at that level of Sravakayana. As Ishmael, you are multiplying and being many. But, if you want to receive directly into your consciousness the kabbalah, to receive the light directly from your God, then you have to create Isaac within.

Kabbalah has two parts; one is ישמעאל Ishmael and another is יצחק Isaac. Understand, comprehend that Jacob represents all of the archetypes in our consciousness and Esau our animal mind, then you will know how our physicality ישמעאל Ishmael, is related with Abraham-Isaac-Jacob, our Monad.

Audience: So you listen to your spirit instead of to your mind?

Speaker: Exactly. Your mind is only a vehicle that you have to utilize. I am utilizing it right now in order to teach, and ישמעאל Ishmael is the one who שמע-Shema, listen to אל EL-Chesed, our inner God, and that is it.

Tetragrammaton

So, "שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד - Shemah Israel Jehovah our Elohim is one Jehovah.” - Deuteronomy 6: 4

Thank you very much.
