What if your employer did not pay you for your work? How would you take care of yourself and your family? People who pirate do the same to whoever made the stolen work. When an artist is not paid, she cannot survive, nor make more art.

If you value what someone has made, why steal from them? That is contradictory. If you value what someone has made, it makes sense to support their ability to make more.
