I recently started to attend a church and the people are good moral people. They want to to become a member, but the only problem is they is the view the bible literal and are not open to esoteric views. i have been practicing gnostic teachings for two years and i was wondering Would it be wrong to keep my beliefs a secret from them ?

I was told that it says in the bible he was sacrificed on a stake. not a cross. ?
