For example: If I go to the park to walk my dogs and "happen to" bump into a friend, who I then walk and talk with (unplanned event), is there always a purpose for that occurrence, even if the meeting/discussion seems to be totally insignificant?

These little "coincidences" seem to happen a lot, where I bump into people at random places and end up talking to them or spending time with them that was otherwise unplanned. Sometimes the conversations go to a place where it seems there is some purpose to us seeing each other, but sometimes it seems totally random and insignificant.

Does everything that happens happen for some sort of purpose? And if so, is it important to look into "coincidences" to figure out why they may have occurred? Is it possible that some sort of karma is being paid, even if the event feels insignificant? Thank you for your help!!

My Innermost once told me in the Astral Plane, "Ninety-seven percent of the people you meet are a result of return and recurrence." This has forever shaped my understanding on such "random" interactions.

People run into each other at "opportune" moments as a result of their internal, psychological actors, the egos, which telepathically communicate to beloved friends or even enemies in order to relive the same terrestrial dramas committed in past lives. This is the law of karma in action.

Yes, sometimes karma can be paid in such situations, especially if these are painful. People tend to pay their karma mechanically through pain, ignoring that karma can be paid through comprehension and annihilation of desire. However, in most cases when people are hurt, they retaliate, and thereby create more karma for themselves, thus perpetuating the wheel of suffering, or better said, becoming—the Bhavachakra.

To understand this phenomena, study the following resources:

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
