How do you go about trying to meet someone without the desire to want to meet someone?

I mean, I heard the phrase thrown around "pray to catch the bus, but run like hell"..

And in the same sense, "you cant place a seed on a counter and pray and expect it to grow without soil, water and sunlight".

So in a way, you have to be active, outdoors, doing things,be presentable, to hopefully meet someone, and in this case without the intention or desire of meeting someone..

And what if you have a very reclusive life, where your not even "out" much because you work odd hours, sleep during the day, and just off sync with the normal flow of society?

Can online dating yield a prospective partner? There are a few spiritual dating sites, or other spiritual minded individuals on other ones as well..

Also read what Samael had to say about dating advertisements, about being modern day prostitution, absurd and whatnot.. And another post where the instructor advised to pray to God for a spouse and not the internet the God of the masses when it comes to online dating..

But, is that type of thinking, limiting possibilities of the way God can bring two people together especially if someone has a completely reclusive life because of work schedule, and other factors outside of his control? I mean, is it that black and white when it comes to internet dating?

Also, what happens when you meet someone, and there are so many ego's involved going back and fourth. All the energy it takes out of your life, mental energy, physical time, eating into your practice, affecting your routine.. It seems like the courtship process is so engrossed in egos, that without any ego, you would be a flat bore.. I know thats my pride, but still.. It seems like meeting someone, is just bringing out so much that I havnt seen before in a long time, its really throwing a wrench in my practices.. Is this expected? Is it a form of switching focus and trying to nurture the growth of a upright relationship, juggling the egos involved. It really feels like things are alot harder and taking more effort and the mind more excited..

I know I asked alot of questions, and this may seem more like a rant, but really, I could use some advice, anything that you can let me know, I really have nobody else to express all this to and would appreciate any help from someone with experience..

Thank you..

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

And which of you with taking thought [worrying] can add to his stature one cubit?

If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more [will he clothe] you, O ye of little faith?

And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Let your loins be girded about [in chastity], and [your] lights [consciousness] burning [awake];

And ye yourselves like unto men that wait [awakened] for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

Blessed [are] those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching [awakened]: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them [what they have earned].

And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find [them] so, blessed are those servants.

And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief [ego] would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
