I faintly remember reading about a sudden ringing in the ear and one side being associated with the holy spirit and the other not. Could you clarify which ear is right for this.

Where have you heard this? I am not familiar with this statement from the writings of Samael Aun Weor. However, there is the "still small voice" within the cranium that one can access through meditation and the transition state between waking and dreaming in order to achieve astral projection.

By falling asleep focusing on the pineal gland, one can vibrate the consciousness with astral forces and achieve awakening within the dream yoga state. This is not a ringing in the ears as caused by exposure to loud noises. It is an internal vibration of highly potent psychic energies that one can perceive through deepened concentration and an awake consciousness.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
