Are there any teachings or lectures explaining the parable of The Good Samaritan?
Hello Luke,

Thank you for your question. The parable of the Good Samaritan is a reminder of how we should engage with others and with ourselves. It is a declaration that we should love our enemies. It is also a reminder that we should be conscious of the psychological defects that cause us to have animosity toward others or feel animosity from others. Remember, we must not only be observant of our external environment, but more importantly be observant of our internal environment which may cause us to see others as enemies. We must see these challenges as an opportunity for our spiritual development, to love the most difficult parts of ourselves and others. Through love, we can arrive at compassion. Through compassion, and the will to serve towards the goal of achieving happiness for all beings, we can experience peace.

It is necessary to love those who hate us, to kiss the beloved hand of the one who whips us, to clean the sandals of the one who humiliates us...Love is as pure as the morning star. Love is universal. Love is impersonal, ineffable, and impartial. - Aquarian Message (The Church of Thyatira)

I refer you to some quotes and a lecture that provide a wider view of which practicing love through the heart will not only allow us to love and be loved but also help us to recognize and transmute our defects into their opposite virtues, while also seeing our perceived enemies in a different light.

You have heard that it has been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love them which love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the publicans the same? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more than others? Do not even the publicans so? Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. - Matthew 5:43-48

If you meet your enemy’s [ego’s] ox or his donkey [subjective mind] going astray [into false reasoning], you [the Essence] shall surely bring it back to him again [through compassionate meditation]. If you see the donkey [subjective mind] of one who hates you [the ego] lying under its burden [of emotional afflictions], and refrains from helping its master [the Being], you [the Essence] shall surely help him with it.
