One or two forces can never produce any phenomenon. Thus, whenever we observe a halt in the development of anything, we can state with absolute certainty that the third force is missing there. - Samael Aun Weor in Spiritual Power of Sound

I recently have came to the realization that I actually don't comprehend the foundation of these gnostic teachings: The Psychological Work, in regards to the The Transformation of Impressions, and Meditation on the Ego.
I only intellectually understand it, but I haven't yet properly transformed the 'impression' 'I' received, after reading the instructions Samael left on these two fundamental systems..

I feel as though this is a problem that the 'intellectual type' of people have when we study the teachings. We mentally consume this information, (blindly and mechanically) accepting it as truth, without trying to comprehend it to be true for ourselves. So instead we take our "improperly transformed impression" of the teachings, and try to live that mental form, without first comprehending it....

That being said, i'm looking for clarification to a few questions on how these two systems work together under the law of three:
1. The Law of Three - aka Triamazikamno
2. The Transformation of Impressions
3. Meditation on the Ego

1. Law of Three is expressed as:
i -Holy Affirmation - Accepting/Receiving Force
ii -Holy Negation - Denying/Resisting Force
iii -Holy Conciliation - Reconciling/Neutralizing Force

2. An Instructor on the fourm broke down transformation of the impressions in an interesting way:
i -emergence of the impression (Affirmation)
ii -reception and reaction to the impression (Negation)
iii -comprehension of the impression and our reaction (Conciliation)

3. Meditation on the ego is broken into 3 steps:
i -Discovery: when you discovered it. (Affirmation)
ii -Comprehension: when you comprehend it the defect during your Meditation. (Negation)
iii -Execution: with the help of your Divine Mother Kundalini. (Conciliation)

I just want to make sure I understand this right.. So please point out if you see there are contradictions here.

Question 1- So the idea is that, we practice "transforming impressions" as an act of mindfullness: Throughout the entire day? and also in the internal worlds?

and

"Meditation on the ego", is different because it's when we've stopped, relaxed the body, and entered into a deeper practice, of working with the divine mother to execute the digested, comprehended impressions?

The reason I am confused, is because the impression at my school, is that one should also beseech the divine mother during the day mentally/emotionally, to perform execution, without needing to stop to enter into meditation.

Question 2 - Wouldn't doing it this way just be missing the third factor? If we're just responding to the emergence of an impression(affirmation) by mentally thinking/feeling "help me mother" and imagining it's execution(negation). So It would be missing a step?

Question 3 - Does the second step of "meditation on the ego" which he says "comprehending the defect during your meditation" mean just going through the 3 processes again? (affirming, negating, reconciling) for example:
-observing the stimulus it emerged from(afirming),
-how you responded/reacted(negation)
-comprehending the cause/effect relationship it has with the ego, therefore recognizing it as something that needs to be executed.(conciliation)

1) The transformation of impressions must be performed from moment to moment in our daily life and in meditation. Once we have gained competency in this field, this skill transfers over into our dreams.

To access the deeper levels of the mind where desire dwells, it is necessary to shut off the doors to external perception and to concentrate our consciousness inward. This can only occur when we know how to relax our body and to abandon the senses.

It is not enough to pray for an ego's elimination in the moment. This practice, known as the Death March, was developed by one of Samael Aun Weor's students and was never propagated by the Master, simply because it is ineffective for achieving the mystical death we all long for.

Transcribed Lecture: Questions About the Elimination of the Ego

Question: Master, what happens when, in a given moment, one discovers a defect that is attacking oneself, for instance anger, and one beseeches to his Divine Mother Kundalini for the elimination of the defect...

Samael Aun Weor: From which situation did your anger start out? When did it happen? On which street, in which house, what is its address? I want facts, do not ask me vague things.

Question: Well, it happened precisely yesterday when I had an attack of anger, because I wanted to go and listen to your lecture. But the longing that I had was hurt within me because my wife had a headache and could not go, thus I was enraged. However, in that precise moment I beseeched my Divine Mother Kundalini, I accused such a ego, but I do not know if I achieved something, if, at least, my Divine Mother cut off the head of that defect?

Samael Aun Weor: Okay, let us be more practical. You became angry against your unfortunate wife, but do you know why did you get enraged?

Question: Because due to her I could not go and listen to your lecture.

Samael Aun Weor: So, that was the motive.... This is why the anger happened, because she did not let you go to listen to my lecture. What is that which was hurt in that moment within you?

Question: My pride.

Samael Aun Weor: Well then, there were two defects: one of anger and the other of pride. So now you have to concretely, practically work upon these two "I's" and comprehend them during Meditation.

That petition that you performed to your Divine Mother Kundalini in that moment, is acceptable, but it is not enough, it was made in a rushed way. Did you already reflect upon that event? Did you reconstruct such a scene? How many hours were you on your bed with your relaxed body in order to become cognizant of that event? Can you tell me exactly?

Because that petition that you made in that moment was made in a rushed way, and we need to be more profound.

The water that runs turbid is the water that is shallow. We need water of much depth. The puddles, let me say, with mud, that have a little profundity, which are at the side of the road, get dried under the light of the sun and they become swamps filled with rottenness. However, the waters with profundity where the fish live and there is plenty life are different. So we need to be more profound.

2) Reconciliation comes when we know how to meditate profoundly. The Holy Spirit, Binah, is "Understanding," and arrives within our interior when we know how to silence the mind in each of its levels. This feat is not possible without the science of Jnana Yoga: meditation.

It is not enough to pray for annihilation in the moment: one must go deep within the psyche to extract the root causes of an error. We have had the opportunity to observe teachers and disciples who propagate the "Death March" very adamantly, and it is easy to conclude, through cultured study of the doctrine and its application to daily life, that such persons, despite benevolent intentions, are very confused.

What these people need is greater study of the Aquarian and Piscean teachings accompanied with serious self-reflection. Or as Samael Aun Weor indicated, "We must be sincere with ourselves by performing a dissection of our “I” with the tremendous scalpel of 'self-criticism.'"

In order to achieve the transformation of impressions, we must go deep, and not remain within superficial levels of the mind, primarily constituted by the intellect. The third force of reconciliation, comprehension, arrives like a thief in the night, when our mind and body are quiet and when we have closed off any distractions from our consciousness.

3) Meditation is a deeper form of self-observation, so the same principles of affirmation, negation and reconciliation through the transformation of impressions apply, but in a deeper, more cognizant way.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
