( Spiritual Dangers We Don’t Seehttps://glorian.org/learn/video/spiritual-danger-you-do-not-see ) The lecture in question

As predicted in the beginning of the passage, my ego didn’t like this one. I will continue to meditate on this passage to develop an objective understanding, however I do have a few questions.

“But if you want to be a spiritual practitioner, a serious one, you need your personality to be passive.

In practical terms, that means it's necessary to let go of your attachment to your name, language, culture, education, your tastes in things, and go deeper.”

1. I am confused on how to make the personality “passive” If we have a career, isn’t it necessary to develop the personality to some extent even though it is inevitable that it will die? Would the goal be then not to neglect the personality but to not be attached to it?

2. And as far as making it passive, would meditating on death be a sound method to do so ?

“Start by studying your own spiritual organization.
Your personality will destroy it. So make your personality passive.

When you make your personality passive, you protect your inner spiritual organization.”

3. When you say study our own spiritual organization, do you mean studying our own perception of spiritual ideas? Or perhaps studying the aspects of spirituality that the ego uses to define and personify itself by?

“Furthermore, in the case of those groups who do have genuine spiritual light, it is the personalities of the people that are the interface between the inner and outer worlds. And so the asuras, the devils, use those personalities to destroy those groups. How? Simple. By manipulating appearances, pointing out contradictions, spreading gossip. They can even use a person's terrestrial name, even a photo of them, as a way to attack them with black magic. Once they have something to concentrate on, they can use it as a weapon. It is very easy for someone who is awakened negatively.”

4. Does this mean that individuals like the Dalai Lama are constantly some form of spiritual attack? Could this be why he recently had his controversy not to long ago ?

When someone is fascinated by having more followers, more cliques, a bigger group, a bigger temple, this is all personality. And the Black Lodge will use those desires to take control of that kingdom. It is that simple.
This is especially true when someone depends upon clicks or followers for their income. They will be incentivized to get more clicks or followers, and the way to do that, appeal to the personality. This is a very quick path to becoming a Black magician.
The ego and the personality always want more and more.
The Black magician always wants more and more.
The one who wants to be a White magician seeks to become less and less.
So we have to be extremely cautious.
To become a White magician, one must learn how to be silent, how to abstain, how to suffer, and how to die.
I am not saying that you have to be totally isolated from the world, unemployed, friendless, impoverished, alone, destitute. All of that is just your intellect playing with contraries.

5. I currently make the majority of my income on social media. I make art and drawing tutorials and things of that nature. Occasionally I may bring up meditation, but when I do I will link an external resource as I don’t consider myself a teacher. In my case, would making the personality passive mean giving up my career? I am still young, so if there would be a time to do it it would be now.

We need enough personality to maintain our means of living (job). But how much of our personality would be enough to keep out job going, and how much of the personality consists of excess elements (gossip between colleagues, desire for more money/power, etc)? There is a lot you could make passive inside you, while keeping your job.
As of making a career, there is the grave danger that the psychological element of ambition will devour all of your energy at one point. Therefore it will take the energy that you need for your spirituality.

Awareness of death does help, but you will also need to meditate on your own personality traits. See them in action, meditate on them, dissect them and see how they actually form an obstacle to your personality. When you have seen this for yourself, you will have no/little urge to "use" these traits.

3. When you say study our own spiritual organization, do you mean studying our own perception of spiritual ideas? Or perhaps studying the aspects of spirituality that the ego uses to define and personify itself by?

Both and everything else that relates to your inner spiritual life. Study all elements/traits in you that are involved in your spirituality, because they form your internal spiritual organization. If you go to a spiritual group, all the members form the organization (externally). The same applies to your spirituality: Which inner elements attend your spiritual activities? Which of them are truly spiritual and beneficial? Which of them only pretend to be spiritual, but only waste your energy? Which of them want to even sabotage your spirituality (yes, they are inside us as well)?

Everyone who starts to work internally by using sexual energy can draw unwanted attention in the internal worlds. This is why we need this: https://glorian.org/learn/courses-and-lectures/defense-for-spiritual-warfare

It means that you should rely on your vocation (making art and tutorials in your case), instead of being successful by drawing in attention with your personality. If you feel that art is what you should do, then do it, but stay focused on the craft.
Making the personality passive means to have an inner protected space for your true self, which you would not share with the outside world. Everything that you share can be criticized, can be adored and can be discussed by your followers. In other words, it can be used against you. This can drag you into more personality, which sooner or later creates drama. So the question is: How can you pursue your vocation, without becoming a worshiped personality?

As for career advise, you should clarify this with your Divine Being:
