Hello Instructors, I wanted to ask a question regarding a problem I have had for a long time. That is the persistence of a false light internally. This false light tries to lead me astray away from Gnosis. And it's been happening for a long time. I don't believe it is something outside of me but instead something inside of me. And I want to change this situation because it's very difficult. So my question is this is it possible to come out of this type of suffering being single and practicing the fundamentals of Gnosis?

Thank you Instructor Quaerens Veritatis, I will study these resources. Thank you for your explanation about light and darkness it is something I needed to hear. Thank you once again.

Also to Mr. Joshua Jenkins, I don't think that we should fear suffering but if there is too much suffering then there could be something wrong.
Hello,

Thank you for the question. This false light you mention, ask yourself why you consider it false light rather than darkness. Is there such a thing as false light? Or, is light simply light and anything that is not light are just different shades of darkness?

…We work on our faults so that we can have light. That light is fire, is energy, is force. We have no light, no fire, no force. The lamp is dark. We can't see the path….

Could it be that what you are referring to is the ego working to keep you away from your inner light? Your innermost Being? Could this ‘false light’ (darkness) you are feeling be linked with the Guardian of the Threshold?

This guardian is of the threshold because that is the threshold of entering the mysteries. If we wish to really advance towards the light, we have to face our own darkness.

In facing our own darkness, we must discern between the human “I” and the innermost Being and work to eliminate the ego.

The Being is indifferent before pleasure and suffering, before praise and insult, before victory and defeat, yet the human “I” is offended by everything; it suffers and cries, enjoys and seeks pleasures.

Remember, the work of Gnosis is to bring one out of suffering through practice. This practice involves death (elimination of the ego), rebirth (maithuna), and sacrifice (service to others).

I’ve written and provided links that will give some insight into the elimination of the ego. For single people, an effective practice is the Ham Sah Pranayama. You can learn more about this in the Yellow Book:

Serving humanity can come in different forms. Consider what way works best for you and do so selflessly.

Dear instructor, the insight provided here is wonderful for me and if you do not mind, I have an inquiry of my own regarding this matter. I thank you for the compassion and time you have for people like me who have the sinning ego. I currently am struggling with much karma which I believe is from my errors in previous existances... My karma affects me physically and psychologically as well. This suffering I am experiencing is helping me to realize that others are suffering as well, and that I am meant to play a role in aleviating suffering in others which would happen to help wash away my own karma. I am desperately in need of negosiating my karma but have no strength to leave in the astral body to negotiate for credit with the masters, but I am stuck on how I personally can serve humanity. I am limited in where I can travel physically but know this is no excuse to not serve humanity. Therefore, I ask for your insight, dear instructor, which would help me greatly. I know that my karma is due to my own errors and therefore want to reverse the suffering I've created.

Hello Joshua,

From your comments, I see that you understand and are open to the idea of negotiating karma. In your comments, you raise two key points that I think can be researched further to find your answer: (1) negotiation of karma and (2) service to humanity.

Master Samael Aun Weor states:

The sick, instead of worrying so much about themselves, should work for others, do works of charity, try to heal others, console the afflicted, take persons who cannot pay to the doctor, give away medicines, etc., and in this manner they would cancel their karma and they would be totally healed.

“Whoever suffers in their home should multiply their humility, their patience and serenity. Do not answer with insults; do not tyrannize your fellowmen, do not upset those who surround you, know how to forgive the defects of others with patience multiplied to the infinite. In this manner you would cancel your karma and would become better

Please have a look at the link and remember that this requires work. The work is difficult, but walking the path toward reintegration and returning to our true nature is necessary if one is sincere in wanting to understand their purpose.
