I am beginning to realize that the affects of our words spoken are greater than we think. It has already been demonstrated that even just placing pieces of paper with either positive or negative words written on them change the molecular structure of the water accordingly. It is written in the bible that words can even heal a body. I am wondering, are there any resources where I can learn more about how I can specifically use my spech to benefit others? What else do spoken words do? I had a couple questions regarding this: if one begins speaking well of a sick person to others, saying "Yes, he is getting better, he is recovering by the day..." does the mere fact of these words being spoken cure the sick person even if that individual had no idea of the word being spoken? If one begins speaking well of another's business: "This store is always full of customers, it sells the best product..." does speaking in this way benefit the store even if those whom are spoken to about it do not start buying from it? Does merely speaking about something benefit or harm it in the reality?

Hello,

Thank you for the question. Consider this statement:

The level of power a word contains is proportionate to the meaning we give it and the level of energy we give when enunciating the word.

In your example of a written word on a piece of paper changing the molecular structure of water is interesting. I wonder if the energy given, or the thought that came forth while writing the word had any influence on how that word impacted the water. What if the writer of such words perceived the negative word as positive and the positive word as negative, or if the word was written in a language completely foreign to the writer to where it is not understood whether positive or negative? Would this still have an impact on the molecular structure of the water? In the first case, will there be an opposite effect as compared to the original experiment you shared; or in the latter case, will there be a change in the molecular structure at all?

To take it a bit further, why does a word spoken by a specific person to another spark a feeling of anger and sometimes violence, when that same word spoken by a different person to the same person that became angry, now results in a feeling of affinity? Is it the word itself, or the identification we give to a word? If it is the identification and not just the word, then can we say that such identification is applied through the consciousness or the ego? If it depends on consciousness or ego, then it has a vibration and vibration is energy, energy is power. Therefore, I submit that the power given to a word and how it vibrates (low or high frequency) is dependent on the consciousness of the one writing or speaking the word and its intended effect.

"Wherever we direct attention, we expend creative energy." -Samael Aun Weor

Also, consider the receiver of such words, if we speak negatively towards another and their level of being is indifferent to praise or criticism, then can we be assured that the spoken or written word has impacted them at all?

Mind precedes phenomena. We become what we think - Buddha Shakyamuni

I surmise that the level of benefit or harm depends on the intention and level of energy placed into a word and the level of being or receptivity of the receiver.

The insight/reflection you have provided me regarding this matter is very interesting, and much appreciated. Reflecting on what you have written, I am in agreement. I have had words spoken to me that themselves sounded insulting, but did not resonate with me/my ego as offensive etc. I have also had negative words spoken to me from which I reacted poorly. As you stated, perhaps the identity and intentions placed on the words by the different individuals had much to do with it. My question was inspired by a recent event in which a phrase was said to me that brought out my ego of anger, and I reacted poorly by responding verbally to the person in a similar manner. Mind you, this person whom I insulted in return is already suffering gravely, and my complete lack of compassion in that moment was very poor on my end, and a couple days later I experienced a karmic result of my action, and when I prayed to my inner being about the matter I was reminded by my inner being of this insident. The intention I placed on those words was not positive, but negative. I truly believed that I harmed this person, perhaps even more than they had offended me. This event grew me in a way, in accordance with your response to my inquiry with helped it all make sense. I am very thankful to my inner being and even for the law of karma which is growing me and helping me to be less harmful theo others.
