Greetings dear brother or sister,

May I please inquire about my experience during the 7 vowel standing posture practice?

This seems more of a "medical" question but I am curious about what is happening and how it may be a signal to some other aspect within.

I get extremely light headed, tingly, a feeling like I could faint. Its such a light and delicate practice... so I am not sure how to make sense of this.
When I reflect on why this happens, I feel maybe the endocrine system is weak, or my heart rate is too low, or something about my general vitality.
Maybe the body needs more nourishment through food and breath.

Do you have any suggestions of general care for the bodies well being so that vitality/prana/sexual energy are strong enough to engage in practices?

Deep gratitude,

H

Firstly, please understand that we cannot make any reliable diagnosis through the forums. Always observe your condition and if such issues persist for a couple of weeks with the same intensity (or more), it may be necessary to see a doctor.

Besides that, if this is really due to the Runic Vowel practice, there are two aspects:

1) It is possible that your body is not yet adjusted to this exercise.
Depending on your physical traits, your age and your fitness level, your circulatory system will try to keep up with the pace of the exercise. After all, we might do these runes early in the morning, where our body and its' circulation is still half-asleep. We might not be used to the sudden switch between postures, where a lot of blood goes from one body part to another (i.e. when we let the head hang during the rune Ur and then stand up for the rune Mannaz). If this is a factor, we can:

  • increase relaxation of muscles and breath during the practice
  • ensure that we have enough rest between those exercises, not everyone might be able to do this seven days a week at once
  • incorporate daily walks outside, if we have little movement during the day (i.e. a lot of office work)
  • in some cases it might be even necessary to first strengthen the body and overcome serious physical obstacles through the Sacred Rites of Rejuvenation, as described in this book

2) The light-headiness might be caused by internal adjustments.
Master Samael Aun Weor did state that when we begin practicing seriously, we might feel symptoms, like dizziness, light-headiness, etc. And this is due to the development of our inner occult anatomy, which is exactly why we do these exercises. The practices vivify parts in us that were stagnant before. In other words, it might be natural to feel this way. Yet, please still stay observant and watch out for everything that was mentioned above.
