I heard on a lecture that the being is indifferent to pleasure and pain.

made me think about something else I read about the law of nature of swallow and be swallowed... the bigger fish eats the smaller fish...and Samael said something about how even if you think its cruel it is the way it is... what can you do...

then I thought about how I read somewhere that it is better to be then to exist....

makes me really wonder.... (who is that being that fills us with wonder :) )

combining these thoughts made me realize that

the being is indifferent to existence?

so existence itself is like a vehicle of the being. everything is moving so to speak toward fulfilling the purpose of existence. and then existence itself is no longer a useful vehicle for that being and it abides in perfection ?

it makes me feel better about facing my karma as it is (pleasure/pain)

anyways...

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
