Yes, mechanical evolution through the four kingdoms takes aeons....... Some of the animals of our era will enter humanoid bodies in the next era, a looonngg time from now.

So if we die and go to hell to be purified, we will again appear as humanoids possibly only in the next Mahamanvantara?

The gift of a humanoid body is received based on cause and effect, which for us is very complicated given how we have been behaving for so long. The purely mechanical process (setting aside our karma) provides a given number of humanoid bodies; if not utilized properly, the animal consciousness is reprocessed by nature (hell) until being totally recycled, at which time it passes through the second death. The time that this takes depends upon the specific density of the karmic baggage carried by that consciousness. Some will take 100's of years, most 1000's, and some 10,000's. During that cleansing process, they will retrograde through the lower kingdoms. Then, after all those years of being purged by nature, they will start at zero, to climb back up the wheel once more. Again, the time it takes depends upon the consciousness itself. Some move rapidly, most do not. Yet either way, it is a process of being born and dying millions of times, for many 1000's or 10,000's of years............

The bottom line is: you have a humanoid body now, which is the only vehicle that can take you into the higher kingdoms to escape the wheel of transmigration. Do not waste a moment being fascinated with this decaying world.

I understand what you are saying and just wanted to make sure I understand this correctly. In the book "Gnostic Anthropology" Master says that virginal sparks first evolved in the mineral state in Saturnian epoch, then as plants in Solar epoch, then as animals in Lunar epoch, finally emerging as humans in our Terrestrial epoch.

So if me as a human with my consciousness don't utilize it properly and go to hell, go through the second death and start at zero; will it still be 'my' consciousness that'll after many many years reach the human state again?

Or is there such a thing as eternal damnation where there is no coming back from?

Depends on what you mean with "my consciousness". At the core you will be still the same consciousness, the same inner spark that makes you a living, perceiving creature. But you will have nothing of your personality, nothing of that what you identify with right now (i.e. gender, race, nationality, species, favorite color, music taste, etc.).

I've only ever heard that the second death is permanent, as in eternal damnation ~ lake of fire ~ outer darkness.

Thank you for sending the lecture! In it though it also says second death means perishing.

Or is it still possible to progress after second death?
