1. Some Gnostics believe that the God in the old testament is Yaldabaoth/Demiurge and he's an evil being that created the material world and physical body we live in and trapped mankind in it so we wouldn't be able to become gods like him. They also believe that Jesus Christ defeated him. I don't fully understand the whole story, but is this true? Does Samael Aun Weor also subscribe to this idea?

2. If it was only humans that sinned and lost their connection to the divine, why do animals also suffer?

1. There are many different so-called "Gnostic" groups unaffiliated with the teachings of Samael Aun Weor. If you want to know more about what Samael Aun Weor had to say about Yaldabaoth, you can reference this lecture.

2. This is why.

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
