Hello

I would like to ask a question in relation with the struggle within oneslf and dharma.

We all have our own struggles and things to conquor within ourselves and to be honest we all need as much help as we can get. we all suffer in our own karma and we all want to get out. I rememeber reading something about the cost of war and how expensive it is and in modern times it can even cost billions for just one war.

In a spiritual sense we are all at war so if we have more capitol then we would be in a better position to win. If we do allot of good deeds and pray to our inner KAOM in the name of christ that that dharma be used to fuel our spiritual work and help us get out of suffering, would this sort of negotiation be acceptable.

i.e. I will do such and such so that I can be helped in life and in meditation to conquor allot of lust and for it not not have such a hold etc.

Also what are the most potent and powerful ways to acquire dharma?

Praying for Dharma to help, inspire, and motivate you to work on behalf of humanity is a noble and altruistic goal. This is a very necessary quality to have, but it does not necessarily constitute a negotiation. Truly, once we perceive how Dharma helps heal our soul as well as the soul of humanity, we will more naturally feed our spiritual practice and efforts to help others.

But in terms of negotiation, one must pay to receive something in return. We will emphasize an important point within negotiations that must be addressed when working with the Law of Karma.

In the strict sense, a negotiation occurs when you offer to perform a specific deed in exchange for help. Therefore to negotiate, you must offer to perform a certain beneficial action for humanity or cease to create harmful action towards yourself or others in order to receive divine benefit.

One the most beneficial deeds we can perform is to teach this doctrine to others and work upon our own defects. But if we are not capable of teaching the doctrine, we may perform other goods deeds such as providing shelter, food, clothing, etc. These are minor compared to the transmission of the Dharma, yet they produce Dharma, nonetheless.

It is not enough to work upon oneself (Shravakayana). It is necessary to sacrifice for others (Mahayana and Tantrayana). To truly do well in negotiations, you need to help other human beings, not just yourself. However, deciding to work on yourself is wonderful. But the third factor, sacrifice, involves working with humanity in conscious ways.

You must find your own unique position for helping humanity. Not all disciples are destined for mission work. That will depend on the Inner Being of the person and the level of development of the student. Everyone has their unique way for helping humanity. You must find yours.
