From what I have learnt from this gnostic doctrine, the term "awakened" is not tantamount to being liberated, as one can be awakened negatively, what is the cause of awakening negatively rather than positively? You might say as long as we do not destroy our egos, but this is the case of majority of humanity but we still don't classify humanity as being awakened even negatively, only to demons, so I would like to know what causes this?
