Hi,

I accidentally came to find this song by Patrick Lenk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ED4AYD2gZ7k - Lo boier

It is claimed to be a gnostic song of the Gnostic Cathars (Bogomils that come to southern France from Macedonia - might also want to see movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVXzbId1qxg).
The AEIOU pronunciation is well known order of syllables in slavic languages.

So, my questions:
1) Is this an authentic gnostic song?
2) The text of the song sounds quite intriguing. Do you know if it Is related to a deeper symbolic meaning?

Thank you for the wonderful site and much appreciated information.

There are some powerful lyrics resembling kabbalistic principles. I will comment on a few:
When the oxherd (the alchemist who, like the ox, is a eunuch of the spirit) returns from (spiritual) work
plants his plow on the ground (cultivates life as a missionary within Malkuth: the physical body).
A, e, i, o, u. (I.E.O.U.A. the syllables of Johanne, Johannes, the Apostle of God)
Plants his plow on the ground.

[...]

"When I'm dead (upon the Second Mountain), bury me
in the deepest of the basement (in the casket of the Ninth Sphere, preparing for Resurrection).
A, e, i, o, u.
In the deepest of the basement (the belly of the whale or Leviathan)."

With my feet towards the wall (separating me from hell, for "Powers of the Kingdom, be ye under my left foot and in my right hand!";)
and my head towards the fountain (Yesod).
A, e, i, o, u.
And my head towards the fountain.

When pilgrims pass by
they will take Holy Water (of Yesod for their purification).
A, e, i, o, u.
They will take Holy Water.

And will ask «who is buried here?»
It's the poor Joana (Johannes).
A, e, i, o, u (I.E.O.U.A.M.S., the seven vowels)
It's the poor Joana.

She went to the paradise (with her Body of Liberation, just like Joan of Arc),
to heaven alongside her goats (by transforming the animal desire of Capricorn into the solar intuition of Leo)
A, e, i, o, u.
to heaven alongside her goats."

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
