Having a dwarf (not grafted) lemon tree in a pot could this plant still be used to perform the plant magic to defend one against the tenebrous or would it be advisable to plant it into the ground? Should one use the lemons from this tree or could lemons bought from the store suffice? I ask because a pot plant like this has trouble producing so many fruits at once.

A potted lemon tree is fine.

If your tree has no lemons, you can purchase them from a grocery store.

When performing this ritual, pray to your Innermost to command the elementals of the lemon tree and the lemon to combine their forces, and to work on behalf of your benefit in accordance with the law.

My small lemon tree is producing 8 lemons, quite a sight as the tree is only approximately 12 inches in height, so only one will be needed from the store. Now would it be better to wait until the lemons have ripened first before taking them from the tree? Some of them are still green while a few others are slowly turning yellow.

The more mature the plant, the more ripe the lemons, the stronger the elemental force.
