We know that incorporating meat into our diet is necessary. Sometimes, we also kill insects when we deem it 'necessary'.
Both of these activities involve the taking of life of another organism.
What comes to mind is the Buddha Shakyamuni's teaching (I do not know if he actually said this, but it is a part of contemporary Buddhism) that no living thing must be harmed.
What are your respected views on these contradictions?
Also, if killing animals for food had negative karmic consequences, why would Mother Nature make meat an essential for our diet?
