I've been curious about chanting mantras or prayers mentally and how to breathe.
Is it ok to keep the mental chant going during both the inhale and exhale, and even divide the chant in various ways between the breath? For instance perhaps Om Mani on the inhale, and Padme Hum on the exhale. Or with Faraon, maybe Fa in, Ra out, On in, Fa out, Ra in, On out.. ect..
I assume as long as I am consciously chanting it does not matter, but it is quite a bit different then vocal chanting in this respect.
