If a student is totally resistant to conscious astral projection are they doomed according to these teachings?

I think maybe I should just take time away from pursuing gnosis for awhile until the day when I maybe want this experience? I honestly don't think I'm ready for that. And mostly reading all this stuff can be so boring without that internal experience and raising my consciousness sounds great, and I think I have, but when the rubber meets the road of actually awakening and fighting a spiritual battle in internal planes against all my egos and then disposing of all of their bodies, I am frankly not terribly interested? It just sounds too morbid to me.

I can see how I basically have "religious" indoctrination against it, but it's something I don't see myself changing on any time soon, so what do I do?

It isn't all from a religious perspective either. I have an intuition I have much work to do on earth it's hard to imagine myself having time for focusing on all of the internal worlds experiences? So is it fine if a student focuses on the the work in malkuth and so be it if conscious astral travel spontaneously happens, rather than searching for it?

"Once the sin against God was the greatest sin [amongst the Elohim, the resurrected masters who had fully incarnated the Rebel Christ: the Superman]; but God died [when Adam, the soul, fell through fornication], and these sinners [souls] died with him [through entering devolution]. To sin [to fornicate] against the earth [Malkuth, the physical body] is now the most dreadful thing, and to esteem the entrails of the unknowable [the Tree of Life] higher than the meaning of the earth [scientific chastity]..." -Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra
Yes, it doesn't make sense to conjecture about abstract principles like the Sephiroth, the Tree of Life, when one is a fornicator.
Sex: to all hair-shirted despisers of the body [those who repress their sexual impulses out of disgust], their thorn and stake, and cursed as "world" among all the afterworldly [believers in religion] because it mocks and fools all teachers of error and confusion [who do not understanding the alchemical mysteries].

Sex: for the rabble, the slow fire on which they are burned [for fornicators stew in their own psychological filth, the orgasm]; for all worm-eaten wood and all stinking [lunar] rags [the animal ego], the everready rut and oven.

Sex: for free hearts [aspirants], innocent and free, the garden happiness of the earth [Yesod within Malkuth, the physical body that is blossoming with wild, motley virtues born from transmutation], the future's exuberant gratitude to the present [since the Superman can only be born through alchemy].

Sex: only for the wilted [fornicators], a sweet poison [the orgasm is sweet to the senses, but poison for the soul]; for the lion-willed [those who incarnate the Revolutionary Christ, the Superman, the Lion of Judah], however, the great invigoration of the heart and the reverently reserved wine of wines [since only when we reserve the wine of our body do we become inebriated with the superior influence of the Dionysian wave].

Sex: the happiness that is the great parable of a higher happiness and the highest hope [for when a gnostic couple renounces fornication, sexuality becomes superior; it is the greatest source of joy for the initiates]. For to many is marriage promised, and more than marriage [through alchemy]—to many who are stranger to each other than man and woman. And who can wholly comprehend how strange man and woman are to each other?

Sex—but I want to have fences around my thoughts and even around my words, lest swine and swooners break into my garden [since the alchemical mysteries were forbidden to be unveiled before 1950]! –Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra
The lecture below might help you to understand the Kabbalah and Alchemy of Nietzsche's writing, as well as how to gain balance to experience these things for yourself.
