Gnostic instructors, how does one go about this work without a wife? It seems as though that real sexual magic is the foundation of all these practises. I use the practises of self remembering, meditation, and prayer, but I keep reading that without sexual magic, abstaining from sex is lunar and will develop the kundabuffer organ. Should one simply wait and gamble on finding a wife in time, or continue having (so called) regular sexual activity. I feel absolutely alienated from my peers trying to be without ego and not engaging in what to them is everyday interactions - trying to have sex. I am 20 years old and somehow doubt I will be able to meet a woman interested in gnostic christianity, and if I do, I feel as though I will be too socially inept to recognize it by then. Should I continue with a more Gurdjieffian approach to awakening for fear that by denying my sexual system I will damage my sexual self, creating a fear and cynicism towards sex that will obstruct the channels where sexual energy circulates?

While in general use the term sexual magic refers to sexual cooperation between a man and a women, it is also true that the single person who transmutes the sexual energy is performing magic (priesthood) of sexual energy, at their level.

Before and after marriage, one is single. Therefore, being single is normal and important, and provides an environment within which certain psychological aspects can be seen that in a marriage, would not be seen.

The development of the kundabuffer occurs by feeding desire (ego). So if you are repressing or indulging in any desire, the kundabuffer grows. However, if you are working to transform desire into virtue by means of self-reflection, transmutation, meditation, etc., then even as a single person you can reduce the kundabuffer.

Alienation from others is part of the path. We have to learn to break free from the collective mind, and become true individuals.

Instead of listening to doubt and the desires of the mind, have faith in your Divine Mother. She knows you need a spouse, and when you are ready for one, She will put you face to face. Until then, prepare yourself for that.
