Ive been doing some resaerch on alternative medicines for pain, but havnt found much practical medicine like things. If someone goes through surgery and will experience pain afterwards how harmful could opiods be (other than the addictive quality), do you recomend it? If not, what would you advise someone to do instead? Is there a plant or something else that Samael mentions that can be used in this type of situation instead of synthetic drugs?

In our tradition there are no published "painkillers" or alternatives to the chemicals offered by allopathic medicine. As to the effects of those medications, you would have to research them.

As far as I know, Samael Aun Weor gave no specific advice for dealing with pain from surgery.
