Hello

This isnt as much a question but its more something I'm doing and I thought it might be good to share it with everyone else.

With the new year coming I am going to make a few prayer requests for change in very specific areas of life and in gnostic practice i.e. being able to meditate better, the development of a strong severe chastity, a deeper understanding of Master Samael Aun Weor's books, amongst others etc.

Although it probably isnt necessary I'm also going to write down all the requests on paper, smoke it with some incense and physically burn the paper whilst praying to the being (the same way you would write a letter to the Temple of the law or the Temple of Alden). But this probably isnt necessary, a simple prayer is ok.

Also I have made vows for the new Year and all else after. Today I sat down in front of the mirror and looked myself straight in the eye and made those vows. I think by looking yourself in the mirror and making those vows sort of strengthens it and gives it more force.

Wish you all a happy new year

Those are wonderful practices to utilize for redefining ourselves for the New Year. Making a list is a good reminder of what we want and need to change. The most simple prayer comes from the heart, and it is the perfume of sincerity that opens the doors to the temple of change.

Happy holidays to you and a prosperous New Year!

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"

Thanks I wish yourself and everyone a prosperous new year as well

I made quite a big vow on New years Eve in front of the mirror in regards to lust. The orgasm is a big no for me but i still see this whole precedding drama still laching on i.e. leering at people or images, porn etc. I'm sick of it and i want to get rid of it but its hard.

But what I realise is that a machine cant take that sort of vow. Meaning that if your not making that effort to be conscious, to be here and now and observe all things as they are inside and out youll just mistransform everything and live mechanically. Some one said if you want to develop chastity you need to learn transformation of impressions and that makes perfect sense to me. Because I 've seen that a lustful impression and the subsequent arousal can absolute fascinate you but when you observe the impression and the arousal as they are(even after the facination) they become equalised and your left saying, "is that it, thats nothing, why do I care about that".

So thats what I see if you want to make a change the consciousnss needs to be put into activity, we cant uphold our vows if we live mechanically.

Thanks again and I wish you you all a prosperous new year
