I believe Samael Aun Weor has clearly stated that initially the first Gnostic Church was the Gnostic Catholic Church.
Later, shortly after the crucifiction there was a division and one side went on to form the Roman Catholic Church.
Is there any information on how, where, and why that first Gnostic Catholic church was formed?
Was it before or affter the crucifiction.
Why did they unite in the first place? How did both sides benefit at the time?
By whom, and approximately in what year was it dissolved?

Thanks for the answer has revealed some key points. I was though looking for information more directly associated with the term 'gnostic 'catholic' church'. What was the unity here physically between the gnostics and the Catholics. For example the gnostic Valentinus was almost to be made a bishop which could have changed the public accepted christian doctrine by far. That indicates that in the early presence of the christian church there were both elements active in its congregation.
