I never had pets before but a cat came to my house very hungry so started taking care of her. People around told me to spay her. I did not know what exactly was done during spaying but I thought it must be something like tying the fallopian tube as is done on women. Even then I said that I feel I should let her fulfill her instinctual nature and at least have on pregnancy. But yesterday I searched on what exactly is spaying and felt horrible to know that their ovaries and uterus are removed. Some alternative vets are against this because all organs are connected and spaying causes many diseases going forward.

I feel horrible to think of removing a living being's parts which I have no power to replace or create. If the government decides to do the same on humans because human species is the one which is overpopulated the most, will we agree to that?? But we do so to animals.

Please suggest what do the instructors do in this case, if they have pets.

When possible, do not spray or neuter pets.
