Hello All,
I'm preparing an article linking astronomy and prehistoric art. Currently doing research on Orion, I was wondering if there's a link between this constellation and Geburah. The hebrews called Orion Gibbor, meaning the Giant, and Gibbor is the same root as Geburah. Furthermore the Syrians knew Orion as Gabbara; the Arabians as Al Jabbar, both signifying 'the Giant', Gigas, giant, the Greek title for Orion with Ptolemy. I'm wondering if there's a know link in kabbalah between Orion and Geburah...

Through immaculate conception, scientific chastity or sexual magic, the Holy Spirit conceives of the Intimate Christ within the womb of the Divine Mother. This is achieved through awakening the seven chakras of the spinal medulla through raising Devi Kundalini up the spine, the seven stars that shine profusely and with the splendor of many suns once we have developed the sacred sacral fires within our womb, our spinal medulla, whereby the Son of Man is lifted up in order to grant us eternal life. There are also seven stars, seven mighty archangels, who emerge from the power of Binah, Intelligence, the Holy Spirit. These are the seven heads of the rays of Christ: Gabriel (Moon), Raphael (Mercury), Uriel (Venus), Michael (Sun), Samael (Mars), Zachariel (Jupiter), and Orifiel (Saturn). As for a correlation with the Pleiades, I would learn to astral travel and investigate this personally, invoking the intelligences of this constellation to grant you wisdom.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Yes there is.

Orion in Hebrew is אור .אוריון Aur in Hebrew means "light," the power of the solar logos that, astrologically, relates to Geburah, which is influenced by the Sun and Mars.

יון Ion reminds us of יונה Yonah, Jonah, which literally means "Dove." This is the power of the sexual energy enclosed within the נ Nun, the sperm or ovum, the power of the dove of the Holy Spirit.

An Ion in chemistry signifies an atom with a net charge due to the loss or addition of electrons. These atomic forces are charged, ionized, within our sexual matter, semen, through the alchemical work, whereby we release and sublimate the electrical force of the Divine Mother within our spine, hidden with the letter ו Vav of יון Ion.

The Arabic word for light is نور‎‎, Nur, indicating the light that emerges from the transmutation of sexual energy, the Arabic Nun or Aramaic Nun, signifying fish, sperm, or ovum.

Any master who transmutes the sexual energy is a giant, الجبار Al-Jabbar, who works with Gibur or Geburah-El, Gabriel, the angel of conception and fertility that taught Prophet Muhammad the art of spiritual warfare.

By working with the cross of Geburah, we raise the power of El, transforming the crescent moon of the symbol of Islam into a Sun through the power of Venus, the star of love.

Thanks a lot for your time.

In greek mythology Orion pursued all of the Pleiades, and Zeus transformed them into doves, and then into stars to comfort their father.
i always wondered why doves. I never made the link Aur - Ion > יונה which you do.

This brings me to a next question though. There's a famous van Eyck painting (see link) showing 7 rays and a dove.
Would you think here of the 7 Pleyades or the seven visible stars of Orion?
