Inverential Peace!
Brothers, my question is the following:
Does each I have the same amount of consciousness bottled inside? Or is it that each I, depending on its size and strength, have different amounts of bottled consciousness?
For example, could it be that an ego of gluttony that likes sushi can have the same amount of trapped consciousness as an ego of lust from other lifetimes?
This comes from the question of how many I's need to die to gain 1% more of free consciousness. Can it be a few strong egos or a lot of small I's?

The defects vary greatly in their size, power, and intensity. Furthermore, they usually are associated with other defects. An angry defect with its own strength and size can be put into action by an proud defect with its own characteristics and quantity of trapped consciousness. So, in a given scene there can be several defects involved, each with its own characteristics.

Do not worry about percentages. Focus instead on the facts of the behaviors, and know that the more powerful the mechanical tendency, the more consciousness is trapped there.

In that case, it is viable to say that there are I's who hold, let's say, 5x as mmuch consciousness as other smaller I's. It takes 5x the effort, time, etc. to comprehend, and thus 5x the consciousness is liberated? Thus, whereas one of the smaller I's would release, say .01%, the bigger one might release .05%?
I know I should not worry about numbers and percentages, but asking this way helps me put things into perspective.

There is no direct correspondence between the percentage of consciousness trapped in a defect and the effort to comprehend it. So, no — a larger defect does not necessarily take more time and effort to comprehend. In fact, in some cases, they can be easier: they are easier to observe, and their "weight" makes it easier to use "judo" against them. It is possible to have a breakthrough and comprehend a very powerful defect quickly, while it may take us many years to comprehend smaller ones — if we ever do — perhaps because of attachment to the defect or stubbornness or even stupidity. The little ones are sneakier, and often appear "harmless" or "friendly," thus many people do not pay attention to them.
