If we observe the Tree of Life as it is written by the Hebrew Kabbalists, we see ten Sephiroth.
The tree begins with the Ancient of Days, , who is in the most elevated place of the tree. follows as the second Sephirah, in other words, the Second , which is precisely the Cosmic , or Vishnu. Then follows, which is the Third , the Lord Shiva. , , and are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as they are drawn in the Tree of Life of the Hebraic mysteries; this is how the Rabbis taught it.
, , and are the trimurti of perfection; they are the divine triangle: the very beloved Father, the very adored Son, and the very wise Holy Spirit.
There is an abyss found after this divine triangle. After this abyss, a second triangle is formed by —the fourth Sephirah that corresponds to the , or when speaking in Sanskrit, the ineffable one—continuing with , the might of the law, the fifth Sephirah, , the Divine , which is feminine. Then follows , the sixth Sephirah, the Human , which is masculine.
A third triangle comes as an unfoldment and this is represented by —the mind, the seventh Sephirah—continuing with , the eighth Sephirah, the astral body. Further down is , the ninth Sephirah, the main foundation of sex, the vital depth of the physical organism, the vital body or the ethereal vehicle, the Theosophist lingam sarira.
Finally, at the lowest part of the Tree of Life, we find , the tenth Sephirah, the physical world or physical body, the body of flesh and bones.
The first triangle—, and —is Logoic. The second triangle—, , and —is Ethical. The third triangle—, , and —is Magical. , the physical world, is a fallen Sephirah.
The first triangle, or Logoic Triangle, obviously has its center of gravity in the divine Father, the Ancient of Days, . This is something that anyone can observe. is a mathematical point in the infinite, immense, and unalterable space. This triangle is the triangle of the Father.
If we analyze the second triangle, we find that it is Ethical. Why is it called ethical? It is simply because ethics or upright behavior is primed there. There, we know the might of the law; there, we know good and evil, about what is good and evil. This triangle is the world of pure Spirit, which is , , —that is, the Hindu Trimurti. Obviously, the center of gravity in this triangle becomes at a simple glance the Human , that who suffers and who gives that human part to us; the Sephirah coincides with the causal body. This triangle is also denominated as the Triangle of the Son. Here we find the Cosmic , , who when so endowed manifests himself through the Human , which is in the Hebraic .
The third triangle becomes very interesting because this is the Magical Triangle formed by the mind or , the astral body or , and the ethereal body or , which is also the basic sexual principle of universal life. Why this is called the Magical Triangle? Undoubtedly, it is because High Magic is exercised in the kingdom of the mind and the kingdom of the astral and even in the or the infernal worlds.
There is no doubt that is where we can find Hermetic Magic, and in we find Natural Magic. Other authors think differently. They believe that Natural Magic is found in ; I have to disagree with them in that matter because when precisely seen, the mind is found to be Mercurial. There are authors that disagree with my concepts. They suppose that the mind is Venusian. I regret to discuss this type of concept because anyone can realize that the mind is Mercurial. Therefore, Hermetic Magic must be identified with Mercury, which is related with the mind. Regarding natural, ceremonial, or ritualistic magic, we find it in the astral world, in the astral body.
Where do we find the central gravity of the Magical Triangle? Obviously, it is found in sex, because it is from here that birth, death and regeneration come. Everything rotates around sex. In other words, the third triangle has its center of gravity in sex, or , which is the force of the Third , the sexual potency.
In this way we have found that there are three basic centers of gravity in the whole Tree of Life. In the first triangle, the center of gravity is in the First , , the elder of the Centuries.
In the second triangle, , the Cosmic , the Second , has its center of gravity in the Human , .
In the third triangle , the Holy Spirit, the Third has its center of gravity in . It is from within the sexual force that life emerges, where the physical body emerges, where all living organisms emerge. Since we are the children of a man and a woman, not even could exist without the presence of sex. Therefore, is the foundation of the Third ; is the center where the sexual force of the Third gravitates.
There are two trees in Eden: the Tree of the Science of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life.
The Tree of the Science of Good and Evil is sex, and this Tree of Knowledge is represented by the sexual organs.
The Tree of Life is the Being, and in our physical body this tree is represented by the spinal column.
Every true cultural doctrine has to study in detail these two trees, because the study of one tree without the study of the other gives incomplete and useless knowledge.
For what purpose do we study the Being if we do not know about sex? Both Trees are from Eden and even share the same roots. These are the two main great columns of the White Lodge: wisdom and love. Wisdom is the Tree of the Science of Good and Evil, and love is the Tree of Life.
The doctrine of the two trees was deeply studied in ancient Egypt. The fatal shadow of the Tree of Life is the psychological “I.” The fatal shadow of the Tree of Knowledge is . People usually mistake the shadows for reality.
Whosoever finishes with the processes of the psychological “I” will Self-realize his Being. Whosoever stops fornicating is converted into a .
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, But of the tree of the Knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it, For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. - Genesis 2:16, 17
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. - Genesis 3: 6
And the Lord God said, Behold the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever...
So he drove out the man and he placed at the east of the Garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. - Genesis 3: 22, 2
If the fallen human being could have eaten from the delicious fruits of the Tree of Life, then today we would have fornicating gods. That would have been the damnation of damnations. That would have been the most terrible sacrifice. That would have been the impossible.
Therefore, the flaming sword of cosmic justice is brandished; it is blazing, frightening, and terrible guarding the way towards the Tree of Life.
The was born from the Sephirothic Crown: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The is enveloped within six inferior vehicles that interpenetrate one another and form the human being. All of the faculties and powers of the are the fruits of the Tree of Life. The human being will eat from the fruits of the Tree of Life when he returns to Eden in the same way that he departed. Then, the human being will see God face to face without dying. Lightning will serve as a scepter for him and tempests as carpet for his feet.
There are ten surges of life that interpenetrate each other without any type of confusion; these ten eternal emanations are the ten Sephiroth of , the ten branches of the Tree of Life. Now we begin to understand why God put ten fingers on our hands.
The twelve senses of the human being (7 or churches + 5 physical senses = 12) are related with our spinal column. The spinal column is the physical exponent of the Tree of Life. The twelve senses are the twelve fruits of the Tree of Life.
