Mutations are changed that result from the procreative energies in nature. Gnosticism analyzes two forms of mutation:
favorable
unfavorable
Both result from the use and application of sexual energy.
A favorable mutant is a person who - by positive utilization of energy - has become radically different and beneficial for others: Buddha, Jesus, Moses, etc.
An unfavorable mutant is a person who has become more degenerated and harmful to themselves and others. This is always a result (whether conscious or unconsicous) of an improper use of energy.
