Father

The term "father" is used in many religious to represent divinity as progenitor, protector, and guide. Unfortunately, some have taken this symbolic word literally, and believe God is an old man.

The Christian term Father can apply to two aspects of the Tree of Life:

  • The sephirah Kether, the universal, cosmic, common "Father." Known elsewhere as Zeus, Jupiter, Odin, Dharmakaya, Brahma, etc.
  • The sephirah Chesed, our personal, inner "Father," our spirit. Known elsewhere as Abraham, Atman, etc.
