Chenresi

(Tibetan sPyan-ras-gzigs) Literally, “looking with clear eyes.” The Tibetan equivalent of Avalokita (Avalokiteshvara). An embodiment of the compassion of the Gods: in other words, the Cosmic Christ. Chenresi is the patron deity of Tibet. Most commonly depicted as standing with one-thousand arms reaching out to aid suffering beings in all the worlds. His sacred mantra is Om Mani Padme Hum.

Do not confuse this name with Cherenzi. Samael Aun Weor mentioned “the black Cherenzi” in reference to a person who called himself “Cherenzi” but was teaching black tantra.
