Ananda

(Sanskrit, "bliss") In Hinduism, ananda describes the bliss of unconditioned consciousness, free of the ego. This is a state of consciousness that becomes more and more accessible as the Kundalini awakens (see ch. 23 of Parsifal Unveiled by Samael Aun Weor).

In Buddhism, Ananda is said to be the name of the chief disciple of the Buddha. When analyzed Kabbalistically, the Buddha is the sephirah Chesed, whose chief disciple is Tiphereth, the human soul. Tiphereth means "beauty," and is the free, human consciousness that should be in a state of Eden (literally, "bliss").

In addition, the Hindu term Anandamaya kosha (literally "bliss-illusion-sheath") refers to the sephirah Tiphereth.
