Agnishvatta

(Sanskrit अग्निष्वात्त) From agni "fire, gold" and shvatta, "spiced, seasoned, sweetened." A term used in Hinduism to describe certain types of beings.

1. A class of souls of ancestors from ancient times.

"...know thou that there are seven classes of Pitris [ancestors], of which four classes have embodied forms and the remaining three without embodied forms. It is well known that the illustrious Vairajas and Agniswattas and Garhapattyas (three classes of Pitris) range in heaven." - Mahabharata, book 2

"...the Moon is the mother of the Earth, the antecessor of our globe. The Moon is where our parents or Pitris came from." - Samael Aun Weor, The Doomed Aryan Race

2. A class of awakened beings who reside in Sutala, an elevated region of consciousness.

"The third loka, or plane of consciousness, is Sutala. It is the plane of sound. Buddha Gautama reached such a plane in this world. This is the plane of the Hierarchies of the Kumaras and Agnishvattas." - Samael Aun Weor, Igneous Rose

"Our saviors, the Agnishvatta, the superior titans of the luciferic fire..." - Samael Aun Weor, Parsifal Unveiled

"The manes are primeval deities, free from anger, careful of purity, ever chaste, averse from strife, and endowed with great virtues. [...] The (various) classes of the manes are declared to be the sons of all those sages, Mariki and the rest, who are children of Manu, the son of Hiranyagarbha. The Somasads, the sons of Virag, are stated to be the manes of the Sadhyas, and the Agnishvattas, the children of Mariki, are famous in the world of the gods. [...] One should know that the Agnidagdhas, the Anagnidagdhas, the Kavyas, the Barhishads, the Agnishvattas, and the Saumyas, are of the Brahmanas alone." - Laws of Manu 3
