Two Paths, Three Factors, Three Mountains, and Eliminating Defects
Well, my dear brothers and sisters, we are going to guide you with the immense longing that you will fully understand the esoteric Gnostic doctrine.
Soon "The Mystery of the Golden Flower" will be printed. This new book, my dear brothers and sisters, is extremely important. Its basic, fundamental objective is that you come to deeply understand what the path of intimate Self-realization is.
It is now necessary to delve into that existing intimate relationship between sex and the scientific process of the dissolution of the ego.
So then, my dear brothers and sisters, we will begin our lecture here with only one purpose, which we could define with the word "comprehension.” That is all.
The Direct Path and the Spiral Path
Student: Master, once the Second Birth has been achieved, is it necessary for one to resolve, or better said, does the Initiate have to resolve to follow either the Spiral Path or the Direct Path?
Samael Aun Weor: Well, my dear brother, the question is quite interesting, and it is well worth answering.
It is obvious that if an individual reaches the Second Birth, they are a master. When one reaches mastery one has to define oneself on one of two paths. One has to define oneself for either the Direct Path or the Spiral Path, which is the Nirvanic type of path.
The Direct Path is usually very painful, yet it leads one to the Absolute; it is a path as bitter as gall; few are those who travel on that rocky path.
As far as the Spiral Path is concerned, I want to tell you that when one decides to walk on the spiral one enters Nirvana, (the path) of the gods, towards the world of authentic, absolute happiness in the kingdom, we might say of music, understood?
Listen, those who choose the Spiral Path take longer, that's obvious. They rarely reincarnate, and take a long time to return into the Absolute. They seldom take a physical body. For example: the Nirvanis who took bodies in the first, second, and third races that existed in the world only now have taken bodies again in order to help humanity. After giving their help, they will again immerse themselves in Nirvana definitely. That is to say, they will immerse within that bliss of happiness during all the time that is left until the night of the mahapralaya and until the first, second, and third rounds of the future mahamanvantara. In other words, they will take bodies again only during the first three root races of the world that will exist after ours...

Evolution, Devolution, and Revolution
Student: Yes master. Now, I would like you to explain to me, what does the revolution of this message, of the Aquarian message that you are giving us, consist of?
Samael Aun Weor: With the greatest pleasure I will answer your question... If you carefully study all the pseudo-esoteric and pseudo-occult books of the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of twentieth century, you will see that they are based strictly on the laws of evolution of nature, you will see that they are based on the doctrine of reincarnation, etc.
We have gone to the foundation. We have examined all the ancient teachings in detail in order to see what they really have.
So, let us disagree with the teachings of the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century. Let us affirm, emphatically, that the law of evolution is not everything. We do not deny that evolution is a basic factor, but it is not everything. There is also the law of devolution.
It is regrettable that these ultramodern thinkers have not yet been able to perceive the devolving processes on a large scale. The serious thing is that they want to see evolution within the destructive and degenerative processes. They want to fit the entire universal order within the dogma of evolution; that's absurd.
It is urgent to understand, my dear brothers and sisters, that evolution and its twin sister devolution are two laws that work in a coordinated and harmonious manner in everything created.
There is evolution in the grain that germinates, and grows, and develops, and reproduces. There is devolution in the plant that withers and decreases, until it becomes a pile of logs.
There is evolution in the state of pregnancy, in the child that is born, that develops. There is devolution in the human being that grows old and finally dies.
There is evolution in the world that comes into existence. There is devolution in the world that withers and degenerates, and finally becomes a moon.
Thus, the processes of evolution and devolution constitute the mechanical axis of all nature. But wanting to see only the evolutionary factor in everything leads to dogmatism, and dogmatism leads to a blockage in the mind.
We need, my dear brothers and sisters, to develop our analytical capacity; we need to understand in depth everything that is hidden behind these two laws of evolution and devolution; we need to know the concepts of content of the evolutionary and devolutionary laws of the cosmos and nature...
It is clear that there is a third law: I am referring to the revolution of the consciousness.
Whosoever wants to walk on the path of self-realization... ...has to know that they are on the path of the revolution of consciousness.
Evolution can never lead us to the intimate Self-realization of the Being. Evolution has a limit, beyond which devolution continues. "Every rise is followed by a descent" ...
Although... ...in order to achieve Self-realization, we need to become independent, free ourselves from those two mechanical laws of nature. We need to walk on the path of the revolution of the consciousness.
The Revolutionary Three Factors
That is the path of which the Christ spoke to us when he said:
"Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." - Matthew 7:14
The three basic factors of the revolution of consciousness are: to die, to be born, to sacrifice oneself for humanity. It is necessary to die, to disintegrate the ego, to reduce it to cosmic dust, to ashes.
My dear brothers and sisters, we need to be born; because as Jesus told Nicodemus:
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God"
It is necessary to be born again!
It is also necessary, my dear brothers and sisters, to sacrifice ourselves for humanity; that's love.
Jesus, concretely summed up these three factors of the revolution of consciousness, in those words that say:
"Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." - Matthew 16:24
That is, dissolve the I, the ego, die in himself.
"Take up his cross," that is to say, work with fire and water, the origin of worlds, beasts, men and gods. That's a completely sexual problem.
You already know that the cross is sexual. The vertical beam is the phallus, the horizontal beam is the female cteis, that is, the uterus; in the crossing of both is the key to all power.
Only through the Sahaja Maithuna can we really make the wedding suit of the soul in order to enter into the kingdom (I mean the Magnus Kingdom, Regnus Dei, Magis Regnus), understood?
We cannot enter that kingdom with a profane suit, we must enter dressed with the wedding garment of the soul, with To Soma Heliakón, of which the ancient medieval alchemists spoke.
Remember, my dear brothers and sisters, that parable of the Gospel (by the way, quite famous), the one in which the Lord, after carefully checking the dining room, saw someone at the wedding table who was not dressed with the soul garment; so, he ordered his servants saying:

There are Three Mountains, it is obvious, and that will be documented in our next book after "The Mystery of the Golden Flower."
The First Mountain, is the Mountain of Initiation. The Second Mountain is the Mountain of Resurrection. The Third Mountain is the Mountain of Ascension.
Unfortunately, all the pseudo-esoteric and pseudo-occult schools believe that initiation is everything; they do not understand that the word initiation means "to initiate," "to begin." Well, we begin on the Mountain of Initiation...
On that mountain, we have to live the entire drama of the Cosmic Christ (but we have to live it in a symbolic manner), we become the central character of the drama.
On that mountain we have to build the solar bodies, to build To Soma Heliakón, the wedding garment of the biblical gospel.
On that mountain, my dear brother, we have to become authentic humans, true masters.
But that mountain is not everything. Beyond that mountain is the Mountain of the Resurrection. On that mountain, we work in the spheres of the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
The culmination of that mountain leads us to Resurrection. By "Resurrection" I understand (and that is how you must understand it, my dear brothers and sisters), the manifestation of the Divine Monad in us, the incarnation (Latin incarnari “be made flesh”) of our own Monad, the incarnation of the Third Logos in us.
Whosoever has reached such heights, who has become a Resurrected Master, is free from the original sin, absolutely awake, with powers over life and death...
Far beyond that Second Mountain, my dear brother, is the Third Mountain, the Mountain of Ascension. Whosoever reaches the top of the Third Mountain frees himself from the solar system and enters the worlds of Paranirvana. These are worlds of the infinite space, totally spiritual worlds. When we (physically) disincarnate, then we live in those worlds waiting for the profound night of pralaya, the cosmic night, in order to enter the Absolute (converted, that is clear, into true gods).
So, these are the three mountains... But, do you want to know which mountain I am on? Yes, I am on the top of the Second Mountain. I am currently recapitulating, and I do not deny that. I say "recapitulating," because in the past mahamanvantara (which was the mahamanvantara of Padma or Golden Lotus), I already passed through those three mountains.
But in this mahamanvantara, which is called the Varaha Mahamanvantara (a completely Sanskrit term), well, I am recapitulating, understood?
Student: We understood, master. Master, according to your example, I can observe that in one life we can complete the work of the three mountains, am I correct?
Samael Aun Weor: Well, that is clear, my dear brother; that is clear! In one well used single incarnation we can do all the work of the three mountains. Of course, we have to work intensely.
We must, therefore, set ourselves to march on the path of the revolution, along the path of the intimate revolution, along the path of the transcendental insurrection. Work with these three factors, namely death, birth and sacrifice for humanity. If we are willing to give our lives for self-realization, it is clear that we will achieve it, my dear brother. "Conquer! That is enough," as one of our gnostic rituals state…
How to Eliminate Our Defects
Student: Master, in the works of Krishnamurti, I have observed that he, more than anything else, devotes his attention to the dissertation on what the ego is, the myself, our psychological defects. Could you tell us why he does not mention in any of his books, in any of his messages, the way, the key to dissolving the ego; rather, he does not mention anything of the sexual aspect?
Samael Aun Weor: I will gladly answer this question because it is quite interesting, my dear brother.
It is obvious that Krishnamurti, for example, has done a beautiful job, and we cannot deny that. However, something is missing, a lot, we might say. He wants the ego to be dissolved based only on comprehension. That is not possible.
Someone could have, for example, the defect of anger and comprehended it deeply in all the territories of the mind, in the 49 regions of the infraconscious, preconscious, unconscious, etc. But that does not mean that I have finished with anger. Anger continues therein.
If you want to dissolve the “I” you have to appeal to a power that is superior to the mind...
...Krishnamurti, can change a defect passing it from one place to another, from one department of understanding to another, from one area of the subconscious to another, label it with different names, hide it from others and hide it from yourself, but that does not mean elimination.
If we want to eliminate, we need, I repeat, a power greater than the mind. I want to refer, in an emphatic manner, to Kundalini, the igneous serpent of our magical powers, the flaming fire; it is obvious that only through the igneous power of the Kundalini can we eliminate from ourselves any psychological defect.
But one must know how to work with the weapons of Eros. During the Sahaja Maithuna one must invoke his Divine Mother Kundalini, beg her to wield the spear, that is to use the sexual electric power to disintegrate this or that psychological defect, to reduce to dust any of those I's that personify our psychological errors. You understood me?
Thus, little by little, working in the forge of the cyclops, wielding the spear of Longinus, the weapons of Vulcan (as Greek mythology states), we will reduce to ashes each one of those psychic aggregates that personify our defects. And, as these aggregates are eliminated, as they become dust, the consciousness is liberated.
It is clear that when the consciousness is liberated, it radically awakens. It is also very true and of all truth, that when the consciousness comes to fully awaken, the problem of astral projection is removed. From that moment on, we can see, hear, touch and feel the great realities of the suprasensible worlds.
I want you to fully understand all this, my dear brothers and sisters; you must be concerned about the dissolution of the “I.” You must comprehend the intimate relationship between the sexual energy and the process of the disintegration of the ego. We will disintegrate the ego quickly if we use the sexual energy. That's all...

Student: Master, could you tell us what percentage of awakened consciousness we have so far?
Samael Aun Weor: Well, my dear brother, undoubtedly this wretched humanity, better said, this species of "rational homunculi" only has 3% awakened consciousness. And indeed, it seems to me that not all individuals have that percentage, there are people who only have 1%, others 2. If people had even 10% of their consciousness awakened, there would no longer be wars on the face of the Earth.
However, it is clear that as we disintegrate our defects, that is, as we destroy the I's that personify our psychological errors, the consciousness is liberated, because the consciousness is embedded, bottled up within those “I's,” and as we are breaking, destroying them, the consciousness itself is liberated. And so the percentage of Consciousness will increase; and there will come a time when we will have not 3, but 4, 5, 6, 10%, etc.
And as the percentage of awakened consciousness increases, it is obvious that we are waking up. As consciousness is emancipating, I repeat, we are waking up. As the percentage of consciousness increases, well, we are waking up.
An individual with one hundred percent of consciousness awakened is an enlightened mahatma, a hierophant, a gurují, an agnishvatta, a kumará. Understood?
The Origin of the Ego
Student: Master, if you would kindly clarify for us, what is the true origin of the ego?
Samael Aun Weor: Well, with the greatest pleasure I am going to answer that most interesting question.
There is no doubt that the ego has as its origin in the sinister fire of the abominable Kundabuffer Organ. You are already informed by the books that the abominable Kundabuffer Organ is the tail of Satan.
You might ask me, "What does that tail have to do with the ego,” right? You are right, since everyone is free to think and ask questions. But comprehend me ...
There is a solar electronic fire that is enclosed in the Muladhara chakra, in the coccygeal center, and it is called Kundalini. When that wonderful fire rises up through the dorsal spine, it transforms us into gods.
But when that fire precipitates from the coccyx downwards, it becomes an abominable appendage in our ego, in our “I”. And that appendage or tail is the Kundabuffer.
Now, I want to tell you that this abominable, descending fire is not only in the ego, it is also in what is the vital depth - the linga sarira of the Theosophists - which if it is developed, I repeat, precipitates from the coccyx downwards and forms the tail of Satan.
Is that abominable tail in present “human beings?” It is, it is in a latent state in every humanoid creature, although the tail of Satan, that is to say, the Kundabuffer Organ is not developed in all, however the sinister fire of the Kundabuffer is in a latent state.
That sinister fire rises from the creative organs, it accumulates in the region of the abdomen; and it so happens that through that Kundabuffer Fire the ideo-plastic takes shape in the region of the abdomen and this is how the ego comes into existence.
Let us have the case, for example, of someone who became enraged, angry, against another person, then the ideo-plastic forms, in this case, a shape of that person (a metaphysical shape, I mean) in the region of the abdomen, it takes form; that is to say, an “I” is formed in the region of the solar plexus, in the region of the abdomen.
How is it formed? It is formed through the abominable Kundabuffer Organ, or better said, through the Kundabuffer fire. And after it takes shape in that region, an “I” comes into existence, and within that “I” a substance is enclosed: the consciousness.
Thus, this is how the “I's,” arise in that region of the abdomen. This is how the “I”, the myself, is born, which is nothing more than a sum of “I's,” a set of sinister entities that personify our errors; a group of black entities among which the consciousness is bottled up, understand? Comprehend that!
Student: Master, I consider that in order to eliminate this sinister Kundabuffer Organ, according to your wise teachings, the only way to destroy it is by dissolving the ego itself and by working in the forge of the cyclops in legitimately constituted homes...
Samael Aun Weor: Well, you have to understand, understand... Undoubtedly, the meaning of the word "Kundalini" (that is, the solar fire directed upwards, along the dorsal spine) is telling us everything.
"Kundalini" is made of two words (this is a compound word): KUNDA reminds us of the abominable Kundabuffer Organ, and LINI, means elimination. So then Kundalini means “elimination of the abominable Kundabuffer Organ.”
When a person awakens the Kundalini, when he or she makes it to rise up through the dorsal spine, then the elimination of that abominable fire of the Kundabuffer Organ comes to end; this is how the Kundabuffer is eliminated, do you comprehended me?
Student: Master, I asked the question "of working in legitimately constituted homes", because it is good to clarify this, since some people may believe that Sexual Magic can be practiced with many partners ...
Samael Aun Weor: I understand your question, my dear brother. It is clear that the Divine Mother Kundalini is not going to reward adulterers. The sacred serpent of our magical powers rises up the dorsal spine according to the merits of the heart. Listen, the serpent Kundalini is not an automatic, mechanical, irresponsible fire, No, my dear brother! In order for the serpent to rise up, merits of the heart are needed.
If a man practices Sexual Magic with every woman that is passing on the street, it is clear that he would be an adulterer; one then would become a Black Tantric; in that case, the Kundalini would never go up the dorsal spine.
If one were to sexually join a woman, just because, just because ... ... but without loving her, as something technical, cold, mechanical, it is obvious that Devi Kundalini does not lend herself to that kind of criminal act against the Holy Spirit .
Do you think that, for example, one can practice Sexual Magic with XX (any lady), but without loving her, solely because of wanting to work for the purpose of raising the serpent? That is mistaken, because Devi Kundalini does not lend herself to such adulterous and dirty contracts.
For the Kundalini to go up through the dorsal spine, true love between a man and a woman is needed. That is why Sexual Magic cannot be practiced except between husband and wife, in legitimate homes, in legitimate homes. That is all.
