These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Jehovah Elohim made the earth and the heavens, and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for Jehovah Elohim had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. - Genesis 2: 4, 5

When we specifically talk about the Garden of Eden, we read in the Bible in the Book of Genesis:

And out of the ground (Adamah) made Jehovah Elohim (Binah) to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. – Genesis 2: 9

Thus, there were two trees: the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which we, Gnostics, always emphasize, are the basis of our doctrine.

The Tree of Life is Kabbalah; the Tree of Knowledge is the sexual force. We also state that the Tree of Life is all the parts of the Being manifested in the universe. We study the Being through Kabbalah. And, as we see, the Garden of Eden unites the two trees. Eden is the only place in the Bible where we find that the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge are together. Therefore, Eden encloses the mystery of these two trees.

By studying the Garden of Eden we disclose the mystery of the two trees. We have talked about them in many lectures, but in this lecture we have to point at them in relation with ourselves. For this we have to explain how the two Gardens of Eden manifest, since in the previous lecture we stated that there are two Gardens of Eden.

The first Garden is what we called the upper Garden of Eden in the Sephirah Daath, and the second Garden is in the Sephiroth Yesod. You can see in the glyph of the Tree of Life how the ten Sephiroth, plus the Sephirah Daath (which is the Tree of Good and Evil) are symbolized.

caduceusDaath, or Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, is symbolized by the Caduceus of Mercury (a winged staff with two serpents twined around it, carried by Hermes). The Caduceus of Mercury is formed by three serpents. The first middle serpent was taken out from the symbol many centuries ago. In the beginning the Caduceus was a winged serpent - instead of a winged tube in the middle of this Caduceus (a Latin alteration of Greek Karukeion, from Karux, herald). So this herald was formed by a serpent, and around it or entwined around this first serpent there were two other serpents which are call Ob and Od, or Ida and Pingala, or Yin and Yang. On top of the Caduceus, we find the sphere which symbolizes the brain and also represents the Sephirah Daath, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Thus, the Tree of Life is formed by the rest of the ten Sephiroth which you find around this mysterious symbolic Sephirah Daath.

So, in accordance to the Book of Genesis it is stated:

And Jehovah Elohim (Binah) planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. – Genesis 2: 8

Throughout the Book of Genesis we read that it is Jehovah Elohim who is making this creation. In the world of Atziluth, the name Jehovah Elohim corresponds to the Sephirah Binah, which is the third Sephirah of the triangle on top of the Tree of Life. The sacred name of Chokmah, the second Sephirah of the Tree of Life, is Jah-Chavah, or simple Jah; and the first Sephirah Kether receives the name of “Eheieh Asher Eheieh,” which means in accordance to the Book of Exodus: I shall become what I am becoming.

And Elohim said unto Moses, I shall become what I am becoming: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I shall become hath sent me unto you. - Exodus 3:14

These three holy names correspond to Kether, Chokmah, and Binah, because in accordance to Kabbalah God has ten sacred names in the world of Atziluth.

The world of Atziluth is the world of the archetypes, which is represented by this first triangle Kether, Chokmah, Binah. In Christianity this triangle is called Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and in Hinduism it is known as Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva. If we cite the different pantheons of the different religions, they have different names in them; we Gnostics, call them the First Logos, the Second Logos, and the Third Logos; Logos means word.

The trinity is the triangle of God called the triangle of the archetypes, Atziluth, where everything is unmanifested, meaning, these are manifested yet only in potentiality. These three forces are also called the Holy Triamatzikamno, the Holy Trinity, the law of three, the law that creates.

These three primary forces of the universe create, but in order to create they need to gather, or to join, in a given point; that given point - among all the symbols of the tree of life - is precisely situated beneath the first triangle, and is the Sephirah Daath. Daath is where these three forces unite in order to create; in other words, the Book of Genesis begins with בראשית “Bereshith.” In Hebrew this means “in the beginning” so “Bereshith” happens in Daath.

The Hebrew word בראשית “Bereshith” begins with ב B, which is the second letter in the Latin and Hebrew alphabets. The Hebrew letter ב Beth comes after א Aleph, and the letter א Aleph is a symbol of wind, a symbol of the spirit, a symbol of air. The letter א Aleph contains the three י Iods of the first triangle. The letter י Iod in the Hebrew alphabet is just a dot which is a symbol of Kether; the letter Iod is the tenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. “Iod” is placed in Kether, because י Iod symbolizes the ten Sephiroth that emanate from Kether.  Therefore, when we are talking about the first triangle, which is the triangle of creation, the Holy Triamatzikamno, we are stating that this first triangle Kether, Chokmah, Binah; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is symbolized by the letter א Aleph.

א Aleph is the first letter of the Kabbalistic alphabet and is formed by a transversal letter ו Vav and two י Iods; however, I said that the letter Aleph is formed by three Iods, because indeed the letter ו Vav (of the Holy Name יהוה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei) is a downward extended Iod. So when you just write a dot, this is י Iod, but when you extend the Iod vertically, then the extended letter Iod becomes a letter “Vav.” So, this is why when we talk about the letter Iod or Vav, we are talking about the same source.

alephB

So the letter Aleph is formed by three dots: the letter Vav (an extended dot) is in the middle, then one Iod above, and another Iod (dot) below; that is Aleph, which is the symbol of the wind, air; Aleph is the symbol of the first triangle of the world of Atziluth.

This is why Aleph appears in the first sacred name of God - in the first triangle of the world of Atziluth - this is אהיה אשר אהיה “Eheieh Asher Eheieh” which is formed by four letters: Aleph, Hei, Iod and Hei. “Eheieh” is the Holy Tetragrammaton, meaning “four-lettered word.” The word “Eheieh” (which means "I shall become") also has four letters.

“Eheieh” is what Moses heard when he went up to the Mount of Sinai, and when he was before the first Sephirah Kether - his own particular individual God - thus, he asked Him:

And Moses said unto Elohim, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The Elohim of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them? - Exodus 3:13

What should I say to the people when I come down there, when they will ask who told me this, who commanded me to go down there in order to teach them, in order to take them out of Egypt?

IamwhatIam

Eheieh Asher Eheieh

And Elohim (Kether) said unto Moses, (אהיה אשר אהיה Eheieh Asher Eheieh) I shall become what I am becoming: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I shall become hath sent me unto you.

And Elohim (became Chokmah and) said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, יהוה [Iod, Hei, Vav, Hei] the אלהים Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: יהוה (Iod, Hei, Vav, Hei) this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. - Exodus 3:14, 15

Thus Eheieh Asher Eheieh is the first holy name that we find in the Bible, which is a Tetragrammaton, Eheieh, means I am becoming, but of course, if we read it, we say He shall become what He is becoming, because we are not Kether, since we are very low; we are Malkuth.

Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us (Kether) the Father, and it sufficeth us.

(Chokmah, within) Jesus  saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me (Chokmah-Wisdom) hath seen (Kether) the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us (Kether) the Father?

Believest thou not that I (Chokmah) am in (Kether) the Father, and (Kether) the Father in me (Chokmah)? the words (Eheieh Asher Eheieh) that I (Chokmah) speak unto you I speak not of myself: but (Kether) the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Believe me that I (Chokmah) am in the Father, and (Kether) the Father in me (Chokmah): or else believe me for the very works' sake. - John 14: 8-11

“Aleph” Kether (the wind) is “Eheieh” (I shalt become); therefore, when Kether says Asher, in Hebrew this means who, what, or that. So, in Hebrew “Asher Eheieh” (what I am becoming) implies the Sephirah Chokmah, represented in the letter “Beth” of Bereshith. As you know in Kabbalah, Asher Eheieh also means the One who will Be; in other words, Kether is unknowable, He is the one that we do not know. But Asher Eheieh (the One who will Be), in the triangle of God is Chokmah (wisdom), the letter Beth of Bereshith, the One that is going to be.

Yet, “Asher” (Aleph, Shin, Reish), by itself, is the Sephirah Binah, the Holy Spirit, because in order for Chokmah-Christ to Be what He is going to Be (Bereshith), He needs the assistance of the Holy Spirit, which is the creative force of the universe.

So behold here the first triangle, and the three words in relation with the first name (“Eheieh Asher Eheieh”). These three words are related with the three primary forces; this is why these three names or words are the ones who spoke to Moses, because within Kether is Chokmah and Binah; within Chokmah is Kether and Binah; within Binah is Kether and Chokmah. In other words, within the Father is the Son and the Holy Spirit, within the Son is the Father and the Holy Spirit, within the Holy Spirit is the Son and the Father; this is why they are called the three primary forces in one, the trinity or holy three unity. Thus this is the mystery of Eheieh Asher Eheieh (I shall become what I am becoming).

Indeed, these three primary forces (Eheieh Asher Eheieh) are the ones that create, yet how do they create? In order to create they have to unite in Daath, which is the first Garden of Eden, the first Eden that is formed in the universe.

Eden is a Hebrew word that can mean “delight,” which is the upper Eden, because in the second Eden in Yesod, Eden or Edna in Hebrew means “pleasure.” So, pleasure in Yesod and delight in Daath.

So it is written:

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. - Genesis 2:10

This delight, this Eden is Daath that dispenses this river that springs from the first triangle; it is Chokmah, which is called the Son; Chokmah emerges in order to form the first Eden in heaven, which is delight.

Chokmah is the Sephirah related to the name Jahavah (the second Tetragrammaton – or holy name of God). This Tetragrammaton is repeated many times in the Bible. Many translations show this as Jehovah or Jahavah. Iod Hei Vav Hei is really an androgynous name, meaning that it has the two polarities (androgynous from Andros "male" + gynika "woman"). Thus, “androgynous” means male/female.  So, Jehovah is not a male name as many think, because the duality of God manifests in all of the Sephiroth,

From this duality “Jah-Chavah” emerges the river that went out to water the garden, which is below.

Now, when you read the Book of Genesis it is stated very clear:

And Jehovah Elohim (Binah) planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. – Genesis 2:8

It does not say in Genesis 2:8  that Jehovah (which is the name of Chokmah) planted a garden; or that “Eheieh Asher Eheieh” (I shall become what I am becoming), which is the name of Kether, planted a garden. It clearly says that Jehovah Elohim, which is the name of the Holy Spirit (Binah) in the Tree of Life, planted a garden.  Jahavah Elohim, or Jehovah Elohim, or as the Bible translators say “Jehovah, God”, or as others translators say - because they are afraid to say Jehovah, since they state “Iod, Hei, Vav, Hei” is a sacred name that should not be pronounced in vain - so they translate it as “The Lord God”; so in many Bibles you find “The Lord God” instead of “Jehovah Elohim”. Actually, Lord in Hebrew is Adonai, Adon, Adonai. Yet, here in Genesis 2: 8 we read very clear, that Jehovah Elohim, or Jahavah Elohim planted a garden.

Many Kabbalists state that the Father is Chokmah and the Mother is Binah, but this is a mistake, or a wrong interpretation, because Eden in Hebrew means the delight of the union of the two polarities (Abba Elohim and Aima Elohim of Jah-Chavah Elohim). This is why in the Zohar the Rabbis state that this Eden (delight) is the union of Abba and Aima, Father and Mother.

The fourth commandment states “Honor Father and Mother” because Jah and Chavah, Abba Elohim and Aima Elohim, separately emanate through Binah (Jah-Chavah Elohim) into Daath, from the first triangle. Thus, the Father and Mother that the fourth commandment refers to are not the physical father and mother that we have here in the physical plane. The fourth commandment relates to these two forces that we call Jahavah or Jehovah: Jah is a representation of the masculine force, and Havah becomes Chavah that is translated as Eve (the Mother of the living).

How do you say Eve in Hebrew? It is Chavah, which is Havah detached from Jah; Chavah is the end of the name Jahavah or Jehovah, but detached (the “Hei”, the woman, the Mother becomes “Chet”-life, Chavah, Eve). Jehovah is an androgynous name.

Jahavah or Jehovah by itself is the Holy Name of God in Chokmah, but sometimes Kabbalists symbolize its two polarities in a simple manner, written with Iod and Hei, pronounced “Jah.” “Iod” and  “Hei” which reads “Jah” implies the two polarities in the world of Atziluth, the activity of the feminine and the masculine in “Jah,” because “Iod” symbolizes the phallus, and “Hei” symbolizes the uterus. So Kabbalistically by uniting the phallus with the uterus you find the meaning of the word Jah, as in “hallelujah,” which means “praise Jah.”

If you just say “Jahavah” then you take the word Jah as masculine, and Chavah as feminine; thus, whether you say just Jah or Jah-Chavah, both ways always imply the two polarities.

These two polarities of Jehovah (Chokmah) are “the two that are becoming” (Asher Eheieh), I will Be, I will Be. Chokmah (Jah and Chavah) is the One who through Binah will be Abba and Aima in Daath.

Many Kabbalists think that Chokmah is a masculine force and is what will be, but no, Chokmah is an androgynous force that will be. The masculine force cannot be without the feminine, and the feminine force cannot be without the masculine, it is impossible for one polarity to exist without its opposite, and this, we can prove physically: it is impossible for a man to try to have a son without a woman, or a woman to have a son without a man. It is impossible to have an ovum without a sperm, or a sperm without an ovum; alone, they cannot germinate. As you know, in this day and age, they perform experiments in the laboratory, but they need always the two polarities, the two gametes, ovum and sperm.

So behold here that Jehovah, that is, these two polarities of Jah-Chavah, have to be united in the first Eden in order to create. Of course, in order to create, these two polarities of Jehovah need the activity of the sexual force. Yes, the two polarities, universal polarities, in order to be, they need the sexual force. In order to manifest, Jehovah needs the sexual force, which is called Binah, the Holy Spirit. In other words, this Jahavah, when expressing itself through the sexual force, becomes Jehovah Elohim, and this is precisely the point here, because the first time that you find the word Elohim in the Bible according to Kabbalah is in the Sephirah Binah. Binah is related to the word Elohim, which means Gods and Goddesses. Elohim is not God, as the translators translate it, but Gods and Goddesses. God is masculine and Goddess is feminine; so the word Elohim implies the duality within the plurality, thus, Elohim means Gods and Goddesses.

The force of the Holy Spirit manifests in Daath, and the Book of Genesis is very explicit about this, it says: “And Jehovah Elohim (Binah) planted a garden eastward in Eden,” because through Binah the three primary forces are going to create, yet the one that will be is Chokmah, wisdom.

So, observe the mistake that many Kabbalists make in their comprehension, since the one that will be through Binah is Chokmah; they think that Chokmah is the Father and Binah is the Mother; yet, they don’t understand that Chokmah-Christ is the river that emanates from Atziluth through Binah (Abba and Aima) to water the garden.

How can we easily explain this? We have to refer to the three Hebrew mother letters: Aleph, Shin, and Mem. If we do not know the position of three Hebrew mother letters in our body, we fall into many mistakes. This is why in this doctrine we insist that we must study the twenty-two Hebrew letters, yet especially the three mother letters that go very deep into us, because they are related with the elements.

The first mother letter is Aleph, which symbolizes the wind, air, and is the beginning of “Aheieh,” that mantra, or Tetragrammaton in Kether.

ShinThe second mother letter is the letter Shin, which symbolizes fire. The letter Shin is made like the head of a trident. Shin is formed by three dots (Iods); this is why Shin, fire, also symbolizes the three primary forces. Genesis states:

And a river went out of (the first) Eden (Daath) to water the garden (Yesod, the second Eden); and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. - Genesis 2:10

The river that comes from the first Eden in order to water the garden (Yesod, the second Eden) is Chokmah; yes, Chokmah is precisely that river.

In many lectures we explained that our physicality is formed by three brains. We have the intellectual brain, the emotional brain, and the motor-instinctual-sexual brain. This is why we are called three-brained creatures.

Aleph is above, related to the air. Even if we look to the lungs, the air enters through the nostrils and goes into the lungs, so that is the A, the letter Aleph.

The heart is the organ that takes care of the blood; the blood is formed in this area where we eat and with the help of the spleen, which transforms the energies that we take from the atmosphere while we sleep. The spleen takes a lot of solar light to transform into red cells, and the liver also creates what we call the venom blood, the poison blood, which is not purified. That blood goes into the heart, the heart takes the air we breathe and purifies the blood with the oxygen; this is how “Aleph” purifies the blood. When the lungs purify the venom blood, this returns into the heart as a purified blood.

Blood in Hebrew is דם Dam (Daleth Mem). However, if you put the letter א A (Aleph, the air, the oxygen) before Dam then we form the word אדם Adam. As we explained, א Aleph is that element which we breathe, it is the air that we put into the blood when we breathe. So, Adam is the outcome of the purified blood; a blood purified by the oxygen; in the blood is where we find Adam in potentiality. This is why it is written in Genesis 2:5: For Jehovah Elohim (Binah) had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not “Adam” to till the ground (Adamah, the physicality). So Jehovah Elohim (Binah) didn’t make Adam in activity yet.

However the man, the Adam in potentiality, is symbolized in the blood, and the blood is symbolized with the letter ש Shin (fire).

When in Kabbalah we place the letter Shin in the heart, we see how Shin relates to the second triangle Chesed, Geburah, Tiphereth: Spirit, Divine Soul, and Human Soul.

The letter ש Shin (with its three dots) relates to the man that the Book of Genesis states is made in the image of God (the א Aleph). This image of God is Shin, which the Book of Genesis relates to three Sephiroth: Chesed is Abraham, Geburah is Isaac, and Tiphereth is Jacob. These three patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob represent the triangle of the letter Shin, so the letter Shin emerges from the mixture of fire with air.

The blood is the vehicle of the fire, so fire with air is Adam; Shin represents Chokmah, because Chokmah, the second Sephirah of the Holy Trinity, the Son, rules the heart (Tiphereth). This is why you find in Christianity that the Son, the Christ, is always pointing to the heart with a lot of fire, the Son (the Nous atom) with a lot of fire is the blood purified by the oxygen. This is why it is also said that the Father and the Son are one, so the blood becomes one with the air, with oxygen, when the lungs purify the blood and returns it into the heart with life. This is why Christ - incarnated in the body of Jesus of Nazareth - said:

I am (Eheieh) the way, the truth, and the life (Chaim): no man cometh unto the Father (Kether), but by me. John 14:6

Thus, the life of our body is in the heart.

In our physical bodies, the purified blood is the river that descends from Daath (the upper Eden) to water the garden (Yesod, the lower Eden); it is Chokmah, the letter ש Shin, the Son, which in the heart becomes one with א Aleph, the wind, Kether, the Father.

However, as solar light, Chokmah descends from Atziluth through Eden, which is the Sephirah Daath, which is delight in Briah.  This is why it is stated in the Zohar that the river that comes out from Atziluth in order to water Yesod, the Lower Garden of Eden, is Chokmah, which is the Son, the second aspect of the Holy Trinity. The Son is “I will be.” In other words, the universe exists because of Chokmah, Hebrew for “wisdom”; this is why the first word in Genesis “Bereshith” means, “in wisdom,” or “through wisdom.” Beth, the second letter, relates to Chokmah, the second Sephirah. Be-re-Shith means “in wisdom”, which is translated as: “in the beginning” because the beginning is with Chokmah-Wisdom.

MemNow, let us continue with Mem, the third mother letter. The blood circulates in the whole body, and finally crystallizes as the sperm and ovum in the testicles and in the ovaries respectively. The ovum and the sperms are the outcome of the purified blood, which, of course, relates to all the organs, glands, that we have in the organism. So, the genitalia is the final destination of the Solar Christic Force that enters into the body.

This river, which in this case is the blood in our body, enters into the lower Eden and becomes our sexual force. In Alchemy, when we indicate the lower Eden, it is Yesod, the sexual force. Thus, the sexual force comes from delight, the upper Eden, and becomes pleasure, in the lower Eden. Remember that delight is above and pleasure is below; delight is the Father and Mother above; pleasure is Adam and Eve below. The two polarities below are always represented in the two testicles or the two ovaries, or relate directly to man and woman.

The two polarities always relate to Adam and Eve; yet, above, this Adam and Eve are Jahavah, Abba and Aima, Father and Mother in Daath. This is how we have to visualize and comprehend that Chokmah the fiery river enters into Daath and through Abba and Aima makes creation.

Who are Abba and Aima? In Briah (creation) they are the duality of the Holy Spirit (Binah); they emerge from the river, which is the Son, Chokmah in Atziluth. This is what we have to understand and comprehend; the Father says, “I Am the One that I Am.” The Son says, “I will be,” and in order to be, Chokmah expresses himself through Binah, which is “Asher,” thus, Chokmah is the One that will be, through Binah.

The river Chokmah, which will be, goes down through Binah, and becomes the duality of the Holy Spirit in Daath.

Now we have entered into מ Mem, the third mother letter. In Kabbalah, Mem, the third mother letter, symbolizes water; the Holy Spirit is the letter מ Mem.

Aleph is air, Shin is in the heart and is fire, and מ Mem is water. The word מים Mayim (waters) is written with the letter Mem, since this letter symbolizes water in Kabbalah. If you write the letter Shin in the beginning of Mayim you then form the word שמים Schamayim. Schamayim is made with Shin (fire) and Mayim (water) and means fiery water, yet is translated in the Bible as “heaven.”

Genesis states that in the beginning God created the Heavens: Schamayim; this is how it is written in Hebrew. Schamayim means the fiery water from above, and the fire of that fiery water is represented by the letter Shin; Shin is Chokmah in the heart, the blood purified by the air of heaven. This is why when we point to heaven, we point above the heart.

The letter Shin has the three primary forces that are represented in the second triangle which is - as we explained - אדם Adam, the blood (דם Dam) purified by the letter א Aleph, which is the air, the wind, God above, also has the three primary forces. Yet, the mother letter in Yesod, the lower Eden, does not have these three symbolic primary forces, instead, the letter מ Mem symbolizes duality, because “Mem” is written in two ways: the closed Mem ם and the opened Mem מ.

mem-open.closed

These are two forms of Mem; behold here the duality.

The Sephirah Binah, which is always related with water, expresses itself as duality through the letter Mem. The closed Mem discloses the activity of Binah, the Holy Spirit, in potentiality, but when the Mem is open it means that the water is flowing, its power pours out to create. So, the letter Mem above and the letter Mem below are Father and Mother, because Binah’s two creative waters are related to the sexual force. When we talk about the water, we always talk about the two forces; this is why the Book of Genesis states:

And a river (Shin, Chokmah, fire) went out of (Schamayim) Eden (Daath) to water (through ‘Mem’, ‘Mayim’ the Holy Spirit) the garden (Yesod, the second Eden); and from thence it (the opened Mem) it was parted, and became into four heads. - Genesis 2: 10

Many Kabbalists state that Chokmah is the Father, and Binah is the Mother. This is wrong, because the duality of Father and Mother is in Chokmah, and they express themselves as creation in Binah, which is Jehovah Elohim; this is why the book of Genesis states very clearly, “and Jehovah Elohim planted the garden;” nevertheless, within Jehovah Elohim are Chokmah and Kether, since the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one. For instance, if we want to have a child, we need our sexual force, and when we go to the sexual act we connect the genitalia of male and female. Of course, we understand that the sperm and the ovum, female and male, are formed with the blood, with what we think, what we eat, etc. When we are in the sexual act, we are not only connected with the sexual organ, our heart is there, our head is there connected through our sexual organs. In other words, when the Holy Spirit is performing his creation, the Son is there, and the Father is also there; as when we are performing the sexual act, our heart is there, and our head is there, because the three parts of us here below symbolize the three primary forces: we have the Father in the head, the Son in the heart, and the Holy Spirit in the sex.

Seen from that point of view, the three primary forces of the mother letters Aleph, Shin, and Mem, which symbolize air, fire, and water - air in the head, fire in the heart, and water in the sex - we see how the three primary forces create.

Obviously, we are divided, yet where are we divided? By sex, that is where. When you see a man and a woman together, naked, the only difference you see is in their sexual organs. The rest is the same. Thus, the difference is in the duality of Mem. This is why we as Gnostics always insist that the first Garden of Eden is the abode of Abba and Aima Elohim, Father and Mother, which is the duality of Binah, Jehovah Elohim, as the Bible says very clear:

So Elohim created Adam in his own image, in the image of Elohim created he him; male and female created he them. – Genesis 1: 27

Thus, by understanding the meaning of Elohim we understand ourselves too, because  this river that is coming from above, from this delight, or this upper Garden of Eden, is the source of life, of Yesod, the garden below.

Now concerning Malkuth, Genesis 13:10 states: “that it (Malkuth) was well watered every where, before Jah-Chavah destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of Jah-Chavah, like the land of Egypt – Mizrahim”; thus, physically speaking, we have said that this physical body Malkuth is a garden, yes, it is indeed a garden made by the Holy Spirit. So, when Genesis 2:8 states:

And Jahavah Elohim planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

What Genesis is stating is that Jahavah Elohim through the man and the woman in the sexual act, or by means of the sexual act planted a garden, a physical body (even as the garden of Jahavah Elohim, like the land of Egypt– Mizrahim) in the womb of the woman.

Observe how the physical body develops. If you have studied the development of the fetus within the womb in the woman, you have seen how first the fetus develops the brain and the spinal column, which is called the central nervous system. The cerebrospinal nervous system is the vehicle of the Father, thus, from that vehicle of the Father, which is the brain and the medulla, little by little, the other branches are formed. The second branch is called the grand sympathetic nervous system, which is connected to the spine, to the medulla, and the other branch is the parasympathetic nervous system. These three main nervous systems respectively are conductors of the energy of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the three primary forces in the physical body, a garden that they are creating - as we also explained - within the womb of the woman; such a garden is the physical body.

The physical body is not just three dimensional as many people think; indeed, the physical body is tetra-dimensional, it has four dimensions. The fourth dimension of the physical body is called the vital body or ethereal body. If you are very psychic and concentrate your mind, your eyes around the physical body you will see the aura, the life of this physical body, this is the vital body, which has been photographed in this day and age by scientists with the famous Kirlian camera, yet for us that is nothing new, scientists need a camera in order to see it. But, if you develop clairvoyance you can see and study it without the need of a camera. The vital body is the superior part of the physical body, which, together with the physical body are developed within the womb of the woman; these physical and vital bodies together are what we also call the lower Eden, which is given to the soul as an habitat (and there he put the – soul of Adam, the - man whom he had formed); we are the soul within this physicality.

Unfortunately, we were placed in the lower Garden of Eden through animal pleasure. As babies we were walking in the Garden of Eden and enjoying all the fruits of the Tree of Life. The fruits of the Tree of Life are related to the three nervous systems, which connect to the physical senses and to the internal senses. So any child when he is growing up enjoys the fruits of the spinal medulla, the spinal column, and its branches, which are the three nervous systems. The baby is clairvoyant, clairaudient, telepathic; the baby uses the twelve powers: the seven psychic senses of the soul plus the five physical senses.

It is stated that the fruits of the Tree of Life are twelve: the five senses and the seven churches or chakras related with the spinal column, which any child enjoys. Children see what we don’t see, because unfortunately we adults were kicked out of the garden. In the beginning, we were in the garden as souls, but little by little, because of the ego and sexual degeneration, we were kicked out. Now we use only five senses, which relate to the exterior wall of Malkuth; now we have to learn how to return into that psychological universe that people call consciousness, subconsciousness and infraconsciousness, the world of dreams. We are now unconscious of Yesod-Eden, yet in the beginning we were not, we were conscious of it.

We lost our psychic perception because of our sexual behavior, because we abused the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Where is this Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? As you see, it is in the middle of your body; it is written:

And out of the ground (our physicality) made Jahavah Elohim to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. – Genesis 2: 9

The spinal medulla is in the middle of your physical body, and from the middle - the spinal column - go the other two branches, which manifest the other two forces of the Holy Trinity, which are connected to the senses, to the organs, and all that we have in the physical body, and to the psychic powers. So, in the beginning we were enjoying these twelve fruits of life, but we ate the forbidden fruit, because unfortunately, we inherited the original sin, which is the sin of abusing the sexual force, which is the tree of knowledge of good and evil, in the midst of the garden.

The sexual organs are also in the middle, vertically and horizontally. The sexual organs are symbolized by the Caduceus of Mercury. Yes, the two serpents (Ida and Pingala) around the Caduceus of Mercury nourish the Tree of Life, the Caduceus.

Two-Witnesses2

Thus the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil share their roots in Yesod.

As you see these trees are in the middle of your body, these two nervous systems (Ida and Pingala) are connected to the vital body, to the ethereal body, to the forces which are in the fourth dimension. The superior part of the physical body, which is the ethereal body, connects us to the fourth dimension, where we find the terrestrial paradise that the Bible talks about. That terrestrial paradise is not in the physical plane, it is in the fourth dimension, and we are connected to this terrestrial paradise through the vital body, but unfortunately we squeeze the vitality out of the vital body through our actions in the physical plane.

The vital body absorbs the solar light from the atmosphere and transmits it to our physicality through the spleen; we also feed our vitality through what we eat, even with the atmosphere, but we squander that vitality through the seven capital sins that we have. Life is squandered through anger, gluttony, laziness, especially through lust, which is precisely squandered through the activity of the sexual glands which are connected to Yesod.

The Sephirah Yesod is the terrestrial paradise, the terrestrial Eden, and it is connected to our vital body. We do not enter there because we are squandering the force of the vital body through the three brains, through what we think, through what we feel, and through the sexual activity. This is why we always state that the door into Eden is the sexual energy.

Do you want to return into Eden, into the Garden of delights which is coming from above? Well then, to begin you have to take care of your sexual force, but you have to also take care of your emotional energy and your mental energy. Remember that the three primary forces work through the three brains of your physical body.  Thus, unfortunately, since we were using the forces of the vital body, the forces of Eden, in the wrong way we were kicked out of Eden.

Understand, it is not as people think - that some anthropomorphic God came and kicked us out and said: “Get out because you are behaving badly”… No! We expelled ourselves, yes, we did it through our own actions. In order to enjoy the fruits of the Tree of Life, to begin we must not eat from the fruit of the Tree of Good and Evil, which is our sexual force. We develop the seven capital sins because we squander the vital force of Eden. In other words, Eden is called pleasure because it relates to the energy that gives pleasure to the soul; Eden gives the ecstasy, the rapture of the soul, within Jehovah Elohim, a rapture within the two waters, by honoring Father and Mother.

Regrettably, we do not even know that we have Father and Mother internally. They are in our sexual energy; Father and Mother express themselves in Yesod, the sexual force, the fourth dimension, the vitality. Understand that, otherwise when you read the Book of Genesis you will not understand what you are reading. You need vitality, you need the force of the Holy Spirit in order to understand Genesis, in order to penetrate into the mysteries of Eden; those mysteries are related with the sexual force above and below, because the Elohim created the universe, above through Jehovah Elohim, and here below we were created with the sexual force as well, because our physical father and mother created us through the sexual act, in Yesod with the two (male female) waters. Unfortunately our physical parents created us by extracting the vitality of their own Eden in the sexual act, in other words by performing the orgasm, the spasm of the animals. This is how they extracted their Edenic force, and this is what the Bible calls fornication. That is the original sin of Adam and Eve, which is to perform the sexual act with orgasm. This is explained very clearly.

We have to speak very clearly now because we are in the times of the end and people need this clarification. As you see, nature is destroying everything, nature needs a new humanity, but this humanity needs to know how to become part of that new humanity, and this is by behaving sexually different. Unfortunately in this day and age, there is a lot of degenerated literature about sex, by means of which you can degenerate yourself easily.

So let us understand that physically speaking our father and mother created us through fornication, since in the sexual act they reached the orgasm, or the animal spasm; thus, despite such a fact, the Holy Spirit, with pain, created the Garden of Eden (our physicality) in order to give such a garden to our soul, hoping that this new soul will respect the new Garden of Eden. Notwithstanding, as soon as the physical body goes out of the womb, that soul is enjoying the Garden of Eden - the psychic fruits of the tree of life; but as soon as this body reaches puberty, that soul starts masturbating his or her physicality: the soul starts squandering the sexual energy of Eden; thus, this is how the soul loses little by little that pleasure, that delight, that rapture.

People read about Eden, or they are looking for the Garden of Eden (the fountain of eternal youth) yet, they do not know that they carry it within; yes, they carry such a garden in the superior part of themselves, which is their vital body.

Every night we charge our Garden of Eden (vital body) with new energies, thus in the morning when we awaken, when we start doing our physical work, we squander the energy of Eden again, this is why we never return.

The Zohar, the book of Kabbalah, states that this Garden of Eden has also another door, not a door of entrance, but an exit door; such an exit door is the door of hell, a door that is always open. To understand this let me read something that Master Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew, written for the people who knew about what we are talking about here:

Enter ye in at the strait gate (of Eden): for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction (Gehenna is what is written in Greek), and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. - Matthew 7: 13-14

Gehenna is what the Bible and the book of Zohar and Kabbalah call hell. Thus, Gehenna is a synonym of hell.  Gehenna is what we call Klipoth, the inferior dimensions.

So in Yesod, which is Eden, you have the entrance, the gate which is very straight and narrow, this is the gate of chastity, but the broad gate that goes out into hell is precisely fornication, this gate is easy to find and easy to follow, because everybody fornicates, everybody is reaching the orgasm, the animal spasm. Thus, in order to stop fornication and in order to learn chastity, we have to teach the physical body how to transmute the sexual energy, this is precisely the science of Daath, the science of the Tree of Knowledge.

First, the student teaches himself or herself how to individually transmute, that is, how to take advantage of their sexual energy, and later on, as a married couple, they learn how to perform the sexual act without the orgasm. This is white Tantra. It is difficult, it is not easy, but it is not impossible, because when you learn it, you can do it.

So, “enter ye into Eden, into the straight gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to Gehenna, destruction, and many there be which go in thereat, because straight is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto the Tree of Life, and few there be that find it.” It says, that leadeth unto life, and life is the Tree of Life. Narrow is the spinal medulla, which is the way into the Tree of Life, but for that you need to know how to transmute your sexual force - in Eden, in that pleasure, which is the sexual act - and few there be that find it.

Beware of false prophets (from Klipoth), which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. - Matthew 7:15

These wolves are precisely those people who defend the animal orgasm, the spasm, with shield and sword, and say that chastity is not necessary. Yet, we who are practicing chastity and who are transmuting the sexual force have faith because of it, since chastity is the door in order to enter. Many people want to enter Eden, thus, they think that they can enter by performing other practices, because there also exist black Tantra and grey Tantra, which are completely different, negative. What we teach here is white Tantra, as written in the book The Perfect Matrimony by Samael Aun Weor.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? – Matthew 7: 16

The-true-vineWhat is the meaning of this verse? Why did not Jesus say “do men gather bananas” or why did not he say, for instance, another fruit, maybe dates? Why specifically grapes and figs? It is because the grape is the outcome of the vine; the grape encloses the Christic Solar Force that circulates through the vine - symbol of the two forces, beams of the cross or polarities (Pingala and Ida, Adam and Eve), the two branches that entwine in the spinal column; that is the grape:

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. - John 15: 1, 2

And this is why the grape is the symbol of the Eucharist. From the grape we make the wine, or grape juice, in order to celebrate the Eucharist, which symbolizes the blood of the Lord; this is the symbol of transmutation or transubstantiation.

And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but (klipothic) leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. - Matthew 21: 19

fig-fruitThe fig tree symbolizes the feminine sexual forces. The feminine sexual forces are symbolized in a woman, but are also symbolized in the man and a woman by the left serpent of the caduceus of mercury, called Ida, or the lunar forces that the physical body gathers. Thus, we have Eve, Ida, Ob of Kabbalah, connected to one of our testicles, and that is the serpent of the Caduceus of Mercury that ate the forbidden fruit, or that offered the forbidden fruit to the sexual organs, because Eve is also the sexual organs, since Adam represents the brain.

So, to Eve and not to Adam, was offered the forbidden fruit, which is the orgasm in the sexual act, thus, the consequences of fornication of Eve (sexual organs) infected Adam (the brain), which is the central nervous system, connected to the medulla and to the other centers, which are connected to the Tree of Life.

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. - Genesis 3: 7

This is why we do not eat anymore of the fruits or those senses, of the Tree of Life, because through Eve, the sexual organs we abused the sexual energy.

This is why this Tree of Good and Evil, Daath, is the sexual energy that connects us to two worlds: Tob - good in Hebrew - is in the medulla, and Ra - evil in Hebrew - is  the Kundabuffer force which goes into hell. So this is why it is stated that Eve connects us to hell. The figs are the symbol of Eve, the feminine force.

Through the orgasm we open the doors of hell; this is how we abuse the sexual energy in Eden, in Yesod. This is how we open the doors of Gehenna or hell; this is how we go into Klipoth. And now, here we appear in this physical world, as the vehicles, physical vehicles of hell. This is what our society is now; because of fornication, all of us opened the doors of hell and brought up all this hell that we have in this physical world, so each one of us brings his/her own hell through the activities of the sexual act. As more degeneration, sexual degeneration exist, the more pollution comes from Klipoth, from hell, into the physical world, like sicknesses, whether physical, psychological, psychosomatic, etc. This hell in which we live exists because of our sexual behavior.

Thus remember, every time that you are going to perform the sexual act, every time that you are going to sexually connect yourself, or every time that you want to manipulate the sexual energy in such a way as masturbation, you are squandering the energy of Eden through your actions. In other words, we are already out of Eden, and we keep repeating the same perversity in order to remain out of Eden.

Daath-ChaimDelight in Hebrew is Oneg, with three letters: Ayin, Nun, Gimel. The first letter is Ayin, which is the letter with which you write Eden, the second letter is Nun, with which you write Nachar (river in Hebrew) and the third letter is Gimel, with which you write garden in Hebrew. So when we say Oneg (delight in Hebrew) we are naming the three letters, or in other words, we are saying: “a river went out of Eden in order to water the garden”, so that is delight in Hebrew. So, “delight,” Kabbalistically discloses: “and a river went out of Eden in order to water the garden.” From “delight,” came out a river, from the heart came out the life to water the garden, to water with the sexual force the physical body with life.

This river that we always talk about - that went out of Eden - is the Son, Christ, the Solar Light; the Son, Christ, is not a person, it is the Solar Light, the Solar Force, which is life. That is why this Christ, in the body of Jesus, said: “I am the light of the world,” because the Solar Light is the light of the world.

That solar light is the vehicle of life; that is the Cosmic Christ that should and must be humanized in each one of us. He enters everywhere. There is not a single physical body in this Earth where the Lord does not enter. Christ enters whether you are Christian, Muslim, Buddhist – Christ does not care about your religion. Christ always enters into you, through your blood, and gives life to your body. Christ is the river that comes out of Eden, from Delight, from above; the solar light enters into your body and waters the garden, your physical body, with life.

But, what do we do with the life that the Lord gives us as a gift, free? Do not we perhaps squander it through many stupidities? As you see, in this day and age there are many ways for us in order to squander this energy: through the head, the heart, and through the sexual act; behold here the sadness of this mystery.

Do we want to return into that delight, Oneg, from above; in order to share with God the delight, the pleasure, the rapture? We then have to change our sexual behavior. This is why it is stated that many false prophets will come and teach you the contrary. So you have to gather figs and grapes, in other words, these figs and grapes are the symbol of the sexual force that you have to gather little by little. “Ye shall know them by their fruits” because these senses awake and give you the power of tongues, which means the power of interpreting the word of God.

Listen, the power of tongues is not epileptic attacks as many people think, where people fall unconscious on the ground and start talking nonsense and say that the Holy Spirit is talking through them; that is nonsense. That is not the power of tongues, but something ominous. That is demonic possession. The power of tongues means to know how to understand what is written in scripture, how to understand the Word of God, not only in the Bible, but in any sacred book.

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. – Matthew 7: 17-20

Indeed, we are only concerned with two types of good fruits: the fruits of Tree of Life and the fruits of Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.  These are the only two good fruits that we want to bring forth inside, in our own Garden.

Notwithstanding, we already abandoned our own garden.

Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. - Song of Songs of Solomon 1: 6

Now we have to return and comprehend why the Bible states:

“for Jehovah Elohim had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. - Genesis 2: 5

So, we are here; we are that soul that could become Adam, yet for this we must learn how to till the ground of our own particular garden, which is our physical body.

Understand, this is not done by believing in anything; you might believe in this teaching, but if you do not do it then the garden is still abandoned. Each one of us is a walking garden, we carry it with us, but we abandoned our vineyard, our own garden.

Now we have to learn and obey the Elohim, the Holy Spirit, in order to till the ground and to put into activity all of those elements which are in potentiality in our garden, since still there are no good fruits from the trees.

The male physical body is a yielding tree and the female is a fruit tree. The male is a yielding tree because he gives fruits to the female, and the female flourishes with fruits; thus the female is a fruit tree.

Remember that Eve took from the fruit tree and opened the doors of hell. Everyone is a trio of body, soul, and spirit. The spirit is God within, who is connected to Jahavah Elohim, connected to Father and Mother up there; that is the spirit which the Bible calls Ruach Elohim. Our own particular spirit within, descends from above into our physical body, he is sent by the Holy Spirit, by Jehovah Elohim, in order to prepare the physical body for his Son, which is the soul, for his child, his soul. We are that soul. So as souls we have the duty of tilling the ground of this physical body, the duty of manipulating the forces of this physical body for our spirit, for our God. We need to obey the spirit in order to take care of the body.

As in ancient times - symbolically, alchemically speaking - the Holy Spirit, Jahavah Elohim was the one who placed Adam in the Garden of Eden in order to take care of it, likewise, in the present time, a similar thing is happening: our own particular spirit is placing the soul - we are the soul - into the Garden of Eden (our physicality) in order to take care of it. Regrettably, we don’t take care of it. Remember that the superior part of the physical body, the vital body, the ethereal body, is related with Eden; thus, by taking care of our vitality we obey the law.

The first commandment given to the soul (symbolized in Tiphereth, the sixth Sephirah) in the Garden of Eden, was:

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the sexual force), thou shalt not eat of it (through the orgasm): for in the day that thou eatest thereof (as  an animal) thou shalt surely die. – Genesis 2: 17

This commandment is related to the Sephirah Tiphereth, which is the human soul, so it was given to the soul, which is represented in the number six counting downwards from Kether.  So, Genesis 2: 17 relates to the sixth commandment, “you shall not fornicate.” This is why you read in the Bible a lot of passages that teach that you shall not fornicate, that you shall avoid fornication in order to return - as a soul - into the Garden of Eden. This is why in Kabbalah we place the mother letter Mem, in Yesod, in the waters, and this is why Jesus was baptized in the river of Yesod, in the waters. And from the waters He emerged, and the Holy Spirit from Daath came upon Him and He felt delighted because He was coming from pleasure, chastity below.

We can keep talking about this, because really this Garden of Eden encloses the whole Bible, since the Garden of Eden encloses the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge which together encloses the doctrine. The Gnostic doctrine is the doctrine of the Garden of Eden, which is related with Yesod and Daath, related with Father and Mother, related with all the commandments.

Questions and Answers

Audience: What is the difference between the Tetragrammaton and the different four-lettered names that we find in different esoteric literature?

Instructor: “Eheieh” is a Tetragrammaton. We always translate “Eheieh” as “He is” because we refer to the Father, Kether, the Father of all the lights, who is above, in the world of Atziluth. The other Tetragrammaton is Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, which is the manifested name of God, that is translated as Jahavah and we pronounce it Jah-Chavah or Iod-Havah. There is another Tetragrammaton which is AGLA, which is also powerful. AGLA means Atah Gibor Le'olam Adonay, “You are almighty forever oh Lord.” This is a mantra that you pronounce in many conjurations. There is another mantra given by Master Jesus, INRI, which is a four-lettered Latin mantra, meaning Ignis Natura Renovatur Integra, fire renews nature constantly; this is a mantra with which we manipulate the fire, INRI. That’s why INRI is placed on top of the cross, because INRI is the mantra of the fire that manipulates the masculine forces, the vertical beam, and the feminine forces, the horizontal beam, that make the cross on which the man is crucified. We have to be crucified on the sexual cross in order to do the work. That’s why when you see the crucifix, you understand that it is not an easy work, but that’s the symbol of the crucifixion. INRI also means Iesus Nascente Renovatur Integra. INRI has many meanings. So, there are many Tetragrammatons, and all of them are very powerful; you pronounce them in the right way in the moment when you need it.

Question: Is the fall of humanity happening in any Mahamanvantara?

Instructor: The falling happens in every single cosmic day, but there are different levels in falling. This humanity of the planet Earth fell, but too low; commonly in other planets humanity falls because they need to know, in order to know good and evil, in order to become Elohim, thus, they fall and they build ego, defects, vices errors, as much as ten percent. The problem here is that this humanity fell and built 97% of ego. This is overwhelmingly incredible, 97%. That is why for us it’s very difficult, but not impossible.

That is why the great Master Aberamentho, a Paramarthasatya, an inhabitant of the Absolute, came to this planet in order to assist us, to help us. But listen, it is not by believing in Him, it is not by believing in Master Jesus of Nazareth that you are going to be saved, but by performing what we are explaining here. The Masters assist you internally, in Eden; we begin in Eden, which is the fourth dimension, and then in the fifth, in the sixth, and the seventh dimensions.

The Masters internally assist you in the sexual act, because you need to start doing your work in Eden, which is in the fourth dimension, and the only organs that are connected to Eden on this physical plane are the sexual organs, and the spleen. So by performing chastity in the sexual act is how the Masters internally start helping you, in your vital body, and then in your astral body, in then in your mental body, through the initiations of major mysteries.

Question: Is there a relation between the Garden of Eden and the Garden of Getzemani, the Mount of Olives where Jesus is praying, is this Tiphereth?

Instructor: The soul, Tiphereth, represented by Master Jesus, is praying in the Garden of Getzemani, as a preparation in order to go into Yesod, lower Eden, and to be reunited with delight. This is a beautiful question, because Jesus is praying on the rock. Jesus represents Tiphereth, the human soul; the rock is a symbol of the Sephirah Yesod, the rock upon which you have to build your church, your temple. So Jesus is kneeling there, He prays on the rock and then from delight, heaven above, Schamayim, comes an angel, who is His own Being, and He shows Him the cross, meaning, that he is showing him that he has to perform the sexual act, that is the symbol of the cross, and the cup also. The cup is feminine, because Jesus is masculine; the cup means that Jesus has to have a wife, that Jesus has to receive a woman down there in Yesod, in order to be crucified, so that is a great message there. This means that the Being is saying to the soul: If you want to be united with me in delight, in heaven above, for that you have to go down to Yesod, and have a cup, the Holy Grail, in this day and age.

The cup is Mary Magdalene (behold the two Mems in her name); yes the Grail is a woman, Mary Magdalene, she is the holy cup, the Holy Grail. Great Initiates have to go to Yesod and receive her, but they must not fornicate, because the sixth commandment in Eden, in Getzemani, in Tiphereth, is “you shalt not fornicate.” And, of course, when He decides He says, “Abba, Father, not my will but thine be done,” because if the Father asks him: “Do you want to do it?” He might answer: “No I do not, because I know what the cup means,” but the Father says: “Do it since this is My will.” Thus “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” is what Jesus prayed in Getzemani, and when He decided to go down to Earth, behold, who is coming now to betray him? Of course, it is Judas. Judas Iscariot, which is that apostle related with the sexual glands.

Judas Iscariot in us is related with fornication and with adultery; everybody carries Judas Iscariot in this area of the abdomen. Thus, Judas comes and says “Now you want to suffer the passion.” You see the sexual mystery is hidden even in the words “the passion of the cross” because the “I” as Judas Iscariot in this area of the abdomen is related to lust, anger, adultery, to all of the defects that we have within, and this is how we suffer because if Judas does not die in us, we will not resurrect.

There is a great message there when Jesus is betrayed, and the great scandal is because Jesus decided to enter into the ninth sphere, into the world of Yesod with Mary Magdalene, which symbolized on the cross. That is the path of the cross: Mary Magdalene and Jesus. Without Mary Magdalene, there is no path of the cross. Jesus will be carrying only a vertical beam on His shoulders, but for a cross to be there, there has to be a horizontal beam too, which is the woman.

Jesus does it little by little, rising in the spinal column until He reaches Golgotha, “the place of the skulls,” as it is written in the Gospel, in order to be crucified. So it is related with the two Mems, with delight, Eden above, and pleasure, Eden below. That is as well the mysteries of Eden in the gospels that were written, and that were explained there in Getzemani. But hypocritical Pharisees took all of this out of the Gospels because they did not like it, they wanted a castrated Jesus, but we the Gnostics, we know that Jesus had a wife, he was not castrated, he was a true man.

Question: What are archetypes?

Instructor: Archetypes are those elements in the world of Atziluth. Of course, in the Absolute these are unmanifested, but in Atziluth they are manifested, but are not in activity, they are in potentiality. From that point of view, we said that even in the physical body the archetypes are not in activity, but in potentiality. That is what the archetypes are in the world of Atziluth, where you find all the forces of God, but they are not active. In order to become active they need to be in Daath, so therefore we said unmanifested. They are there, not manifested, meaning they are not developed, so they are unmanifested, in that sense.

Wisdom is hidden within the Hebrew words...
The teachings of the Ninth Sphere must be shown through Kabbalah in order for the people to know the truth.
