letters-ref-pehThe letter פ Peh is the seventeenth letter of the Kabbalistic alphabet. Peh is written in two forms. The normal form פ is similar to the letter Kaf, but with the difference that in the upper left part there is a letter Iod, which resembles a tooth. This is why it is stated that the letter Peh means "mouth." That mouth has a tooth, which is the letter Iod.

The other form of the letter Peh is called the final Peh. Here, the stroke of the letter, instead of turning towards the left, continues down to the baseline in order to make a straight light. This is the form of Peh which is written at the end of any Hebrew word. The normal Peh is written in the beginning or the middle of a word.

In Hebrew, Peh is spelled with the letters Peh and Hei. We talked extensively about the letter Hei in a very cryptic manner in another lecture. The letter Hei encloses a lot, and as we explained, relates to the throat.

If the letter Peh means the mouth, then it is obvious that its relation with the letter Hei (the throat) is very clear. In other lectures we told you that all the letters of the Kabbalistic alphabet emerge from that spot, that dot or point, which is the letter Iod.

This is why the letter Iod is hanging in the mouth of the letter Peh. The written word of God, the Bible, is related with the Hebrew letters. Thus, the letter Peh reveals the power of speech in the mouth of Adam.

When we talked about the holy creatures (Chaioth ha Kadosh in Hebrew) we said that they are the lion, the bull, the eagle, and the man. These symbols are found in the first chapter of the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel talks about these holy creatures.

These holy creatures, these same symbols, are also found in the sphinx of Egypt.

According to Kabbalah, the lion relates to the sight, the bull to the hearing, the eagle to the breathing (or smell, or the nose), and man—or in other words, Adam—to speech.

That is why the letter Peh is directly related to Adam. Remember that Adam, according to the book of Genesis, is the one who named all the creatures of nature.

In Hebrew, "word" is "dabar." There is a book in the Bible which in English is called Deuteronomy. In Hebrew it is called Debarim, which means words, or things. It is remarkable to see how a "thing" in Hebrew is also a "word."

From this point of view, we understand that the word (the speech) relates to Peh and Adam. The word comes from his throat, which is the letter Hei. Previously we explained that the letter Hei means uterus, the woman. That is why the sacred name of God which is Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei means phallus-uterus-man-woman. This is the duality, or the two polarities. The name of God "Jah" (Iod-Hei) is hidden in the spelling of "Peh," the Iod is the tooth and the Hei is the throat.

So the throat, Hei, is another uterus where Iod, the word, is gestated. In the Tree of Life, which is related with all the parts of the Being and which we always place in front of a human being, the Sephirah Daath is always placed in the throat.

Daath is unquestionably related with the letter Peh and the letter Hei, which spells 'Peh' in Hebrew. This is why Master Samael explains that John, who wrote the Gospel of John, represents the seven esoteric vowels, I E O U A M S. These seven vowels make the word 'John'.

That is why the Gospel of John relates to the word, and that is why John says, "In the beginning was the word."

Remember that in previous lectures we explained that the first words of Genesis (in the Hebrew language) are Bereshith Bera Elohim At Ha-Schamayim.

The Hebrew word "At" is formed by the letters Aleph and Tav. Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and Tav is the last. Thus the word "At" implies the entire alphabet of Kabbalah. The word "At" implies the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

So when we talk about the word (dabar in Hebrew) we synthesis it in the word "At," which is female.

The word in itself is male-female; thus, voice and speech are female-male. Here you see the duality of Divinity: speech and voice. They go together—masculine and feminine. Adam Havah is how we say it in Kabbalah.

Adam as androgynous is both voice and speech; Adam-Havah (Adam and Eve in English) form the word. With two is how the word is made. That which the voice and speech expresses is the word; it is the Son of Adam and Eve.

beth-peh

This Adam-Eve also relates to the letter Beth, the shape of which is also related to the letter Peh.

The sound of the letter Beth is hidden within the letter Peh. You hear this in the pronunciation of the two letters. The sound of the letter Peh is 'Peh', and the sound of the letter Beth is 'Beh.' They have a similar sound. So Kabbalistically we say that the letter Beth is hidden within the letter Peh.

If you observe the shape of the letter Beth, you see again that it is hidden in Peh. This is because Bereshith is pronounced through the mouth. Remember that the Bible says Bereshith Bera Elohim: In the beginning God created.

So that Beth is also a Peh, because the dot of that Peh—which is the tooth formed by the letter Iod—is Kether (the ancient of days, the first Logos), from where the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet emerge. These twenty-two letters form all the words written in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh).

This is why John said, "In the beginning was the word." This word in the beginning is Bereshith. This is how it is written in Genesis—in the beginning; Bereshith.

In the beginning (בראשית-Beresheet) was the Word (the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet “את-AT’ are in Beresheet), and the Word (“את-AT’) was with God (את אלהים- Elohim At), and the Word (“את-AT’, the beginning and the end of the 22 Hebrew letters) was Elohim. The same was in the beginning with (“את-AT’) Elohim. All (Debarim) words were generated by him; and without him was not any word generated that was generated. In him was life (Chai) and the life was the light (אור Aur) of men. And the light (אור Aur) shines from darkness; yet the darkness comprehended it not. – John 1: 1-5

In the beginning was the word. When you investigate the word Bereshith, you find within that word the letters Aleph and Tav: the word "AT" is hidden within Bereshith.

The next word after Bereshith is Bera, which means created. God has the power of creation in his mouth. But remember that God in Hebrew is Elohim, which means Gods and Goddesses. So when you say in the beginning God created (Bereshith Bera Elohim) you are not talking about a singular individual but about a duality.

In the beginning God and Goddess created. Elohim is voice and speech; God and Goddess are the Word. Through the combination of both (voice and speech) is how the Logos in the universe was created. Bereshith Bera Elohim At. "At" is the word, which is the outcome of Bereshith Bera Elohim. In the beginning Elohim created the Word.

So Peh reveals the power of speech in the mouth of Adam, by means of the Hei, the voice in Daath, knowledge. This is shown in Genesis 4:1:

'And Adam (the brain, the Iod) knew Havah (Eve, his wife, or Ishah, the female aspect of the fire, which is the Hei, the female sexual organs—throat and genitalia)'

Related with your body, when you read: "and Adam knew his wife," this means that your brain knew your sexual organs. She, the sexual organ, conceived and bore a spear. If you read it in the book of Genesis it is said and she conceived and bore Cain. Remember that that every single story in the Bible is symbolic and has seven interpretations.

Related with the letter Peh, with the mouth (which is related with knowledge), we find that from the uttered word (IAO) during the alchemical transmutation of the sexual force, we create. That is why it is written and she conceived and bore a spear.

Cain also means 'spear'. In 2 Samuel 21:16, it is states how Ishbibenob, a child of the dead giant Goliath, built a spear in order to slay King David. When you read 'spear', you find that the word in Hebrew is Cain—Kuf Iod Nun. This is the only place where you find this word in the second book of Samuel.

Here, in the explanation that we are giving, we understand that that spear is a force, an outcome of sex and word. Yes, the sexual force combined with the word is a spear, which symbolizes a masculine-feminine force which can be utilized in a positive or a negative manner. From that point of view you may understand why Cain killed Abel—Cain was the spear.

And Eve said, "I have created from man." You may read I have created a man, but this is an inaccurate translation. The woman creates, but she needs the sperm of a man in order to do so. So after nine months she says "I have created from man." She has developed the sperm in her womb.

"And I have created from man, from you, Iod-HaVah." Or, "from you, Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei." such is what Eve is saying here. When she says "from you, Iod-HaVah," Eve says, "I have created from man, but from you Iod-HaVah," because the power of the man and the power of the woman in their bodies come from Jah-Havah God, the creator.

Eve says, "From you, the creator." That "you" is feminine—the feminine power of God. This refers to the sexual union of Iod and HaVah (or Abba and Aima) in Yesod through Daath in Malkuth.

The power of the Hei in Daath (the throat) is revealed through Peh ,the mouth.

This is why we were talking about the gospel of John, which says "In the beginning was the word." In Hebrew we might say: In Bereshith was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

In Hebrew when you say "was with God," you say "Elohim at." "At" always refers to the word, the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet. So, "in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God," or, "and the word was Elohim."

"The same was in the beginning with Elohim." After that, John says, "All things were made by him." In Hebrew, things is Debarim, plural of dabar (word). Thus, Debarim also means words.

So the Kabbalistic translation of this first chapter of the gospel of John is: All words were generated by the Logos, and without the Logos was not any word generated that was generated. In the Logos was life (Chaiah), and the life was the light (AUR) of men, and the light shines from darkness, yet the darkness comprehended it not.

tree-of-life-dimensions-color-2The light (Aur, in Hebrew) is profoundly unknowable to itself. This is a phrase which you find in many esoteric books. It is said that the Ray of Okidanokh (the ray of creation, the ray of Christ, Lucifer, Christophorus, Quetzalcoatl, Avalokiteshvara, etc) is profoundly unknowable to itself.

This itself is the Ain Soph. The light emerges from the Ain Soph, the second aspect of the Absolute. When the Ain Soph sprouts light we call it Ain Soph Aur, the third aspect.

That light (Aur, Lux, Lucifer, Christ, etc) is profoundly unknowable to itself. That is why the universe exists—because our ray wants to know the power of our own particular star. Thus, in the depths of the consciousness, everybody have their own particular Ain Soph, which is darkness or uncreated light. From that Ain Soph emerges Lucifer, or Christus-Lucifer.

As that light emerges in the universe, it also emerges within us. The most beautiful atoms of that Christus-Lucifer shine in the second Sephirah, named Chokmah. That is why Chokmah is called the Son. Okidanokh is the Sun—the first light that emerges from the unknowable Seity.

This is why the ray of creation vibrates in Chokmah. That is why we said that Chokmah relates to the second Sephirah, which is the second letter, Bet. That is why Bereshith begins with the Hebrew letter Bet. The creative force from the unknowable divine works through the Son, which is Chokmah.

Chokmah descends from the archetypal word, which is related with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Kether, Chokmah, and Binah). Shining Chokmah descends into Daath, which is the throat. In Daath, in Peh, in the mouth, in the throat, the archetypal light of Kether, Chokmah, and Binah becomes divided; in other words, Chokmah in Briah (creation), through Binah becomes Abba and Aima, Father and Mother, the man and the woman.

The Father-Mother in Daath relates to the world of creation, which in Kabbalah is called Briah. The word of Briah (creation) also begins with the letter Bet.

Briah relates to second word of the book of Genesis: Bereshith "Bera." Bera means create. So Briah is related with creation.

The Logos is divided in Daath, but understand that Chokmah, the Logos, divides itself through Binah, which is the Holy Spirit, the Third Logos. Binah is the one that divides itself into two in the world of Daath. This is why both are called Elohim: Abba Elohim and Aima Elohim, or father-god and mother-goddess.

They are also represented by the two triangles of the Star of David. The Father represents the Holy Trinity (Kether, Chokmah, and Binah). In our sexuality, the Holy Trinity is the two testicles and the phallus. This is Iod Hei Vav. That triangle is called the triangle of creation, the Holy Triamatzikamno.

If we invert the triangle and place it over the other triangle, we make the Star of David. The inverted triangle represents the ovaries and uterus of the woman.

Thus, two triangles (man and woman) appear in Daath. As you see, both the man and the woman have Kether-Chokmah-Binah in their sexuality. In the woman, it works in a feminine manner. Both joint triangles make the Star of David in Daath, the throat, Peh.

Peh and Hei—Adam and Eve.

As we said, the mouth is related with Adam, in accordance with the cherubim of Ezekiel. When observing the Tree of Life, Adam, who is also related with Tiphereth, is in the central column of the Tree of Life. Tiphereth is called Zeir Anpin, the bearded or small face.

Below Tiphereth is Yesod, which relates to the sexual organs. Yesod is also related to Adam. So when we talk about Adam we talk about Yesod, Tiphereth, and Daath. That is why the sacred name of Tiphereth in Kabbalah is Eloah-va-Daath Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei.

When you read the sacred name of Tiphereth, Eloah means goddess, va means and, Daath means knowledge. Thus, it translates as: the goddess and knowledge, phallus-uterus-man-woman. In other words, the whole mystery of the Tree of Life is hidden in the very center—Tiphereth, which is the human soul, the heart.

The heart and the human soul relate to the throat. In other lectures we have said that in the heart we have dam, which in Hebrew means blood. But Tiphereth is also related to the nose, because through the nose we breathe the air, the Aleph, which is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

That Aleph (the air) goes into the lungs and purifies the dam (the blood), so we have ah-dam, Adam, the air and the blood. That is why the whole work that we have to perform is through the heart, because in the heart is Tiphereth, which is receiving the force of God, which is the breath.

That breath that comes from the heart is expressed through the mouth, through the speech, through the voice of Adam and Eve—Peh and Hei. That is why in the beginning was the word.

According to the book of Genesis, the first words uttered by Elohim were "Let there be light," and there was light.

abraxas-gaio

You may wonder: why is the symbol of the Abraxas among the ancient Gnostics? In the Abraxas symbol we find a rooster holding a whip in his right hand and a shield in his left. The rooster's legs are two serpents, which are holding the reins of four horses. This is a beautiful symbol; it is a symbol of the word.

It comes into my mind at this moment the words that master Jesus said to Peter: "Before the rooster sings twice, you will deny me thrice." The rooster is related with passion, the whole path, and the word.

The rooster is the one who announces the day, who announces the rising of the sun. When the rooster sings, the sun is rising.

In Spanish, rooster is gallo (from Gaius, meaning joyous). We find the word Gaius in the first chapter of the third epistle of John. John (the word) says, "The elder unto the well-beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth."

People may think that this is a reference to a person whose name is Gaius. But Gaius, in esotericism, is the word. Gaius encloses I A O, the holy name of God.

Remember that in Hebrew there are no vowels. The vowels were added later as lines and dots in order to specify the sounds of the words. In old Hebrew we find only the letters, no vowels—no points, dots, or lines.

When we say Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei (the holy name of God) we discover that the letter Hei is repeated twice. Hei in the throat is Daath, the uterus which gestates the word; the other Hei is in the sexual organs, which also gestates life. That is why the name of God is Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei. Iod is the brain, Hei is the throat, Vav is the heart, and Hei is the sex: Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei in your body.

If you take out the Hei (the third letter) then you find that the name of God is not four letters but three, because the second is repeated.

Diodorus Siculus stated that the God of Moses was IAO. I is related with Iod, A is related with Hei, and the O is related with Vav. This is how you read IAO.

But you can also read it in another way. The Hei spells 'Hei Aleph'. We have spoken very extensively on Hei. In Hei Aleph, you find the same meaning in the throat—Heh Ahhhh.

So, when we say IAO, we can say Iod Hei Vav, or we can say Iod Aleph Vav.

IAO, Iod-Hei-Vav (יהו) or Iod-Aleph-Vav (ואי) is hidden in the first letters heading the first three Hebrew words uttered by Elohim: let there be - light - and there was light.

יהי אור ויהי־אור (Yehi Aur Va-Yehi-Aur)

"Let light become and light became." Wherever in the Scripture this word יהי yehi (become) is used, it refers to or signifies this divine light, both within (Chesed, the Spirit of) this world and (the Logos of) the world of becoming." - Zohar

Moreover, when you look at the words "let there be" (יהי yehi in Hebrew), you find the letters Iod, Hei, Iod—the first and second letters of the name of God. "Light" is Aleph, Vav, and Resh, which is how you spell Aur, pronounced "Or." Thus, by separating the words, we find in "and there was light" the hidden Vav Hei, the third and fourth letters of the name of God.

Iod Hei is translated as Jah. We find the name Jah in Hallelujah. Jah is related with Chokmah, the second Sephirah, Christ. Hallelu-jah.

Jah is written only with two letters: Iod-Hei. This is masculine-feminine; Iod is masculine and Hei is feminine.

So Jah—which is Iod-Hei, here in the throat—said, "Let there be light" IAO, Iod-Aleph-Vav. "And there was light," IAO, here in the head.

The letter Resh (head in Hebrew) also vibrates in the head. If you want to put the chakra Sahasrara (the pineal gland, which is the seat of the Holy Spirit) into vibration you must roll the letter R and send the sound of the Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to the top of your head.

The letter R is related with fire. This is why INRI was written on top of the cross of the crucified one. INRI vibrates in our head. The sound of the letter N is also related with the top of the head. The vowel I vibrates in the chakra of clairvoyance and in our pineal chakra. The R vibrates the two chakras. INRI ends with the vowel I, which is related to Ignis, the fire. Ignis Natura Renovatur Integra—INRI.

INRI was the mantra which the Master Jesus was vocalizing with Mary Magdalene when they were in the trance of sexual magic. In that way, they were raising the fire of their sex through the spinal column (the letter Vav).

Thus IAO is hidden in "let there be light and there was light." Jah (Iod-Hei), masculine and feminine, pronounced IAO, in the head, and there was light from the sex through the Vav (which is the spinal column). Thus, the light is rising in the spinal column and vibrating in our head, because the letter Resh means head in Hebrew.

In other words, you have to raise all the fire from your sexuality to your head. That is the meaning of let there be light, and there was light.

Gaius, GAIO, the roster of the abraxas, hides IAO. The two serpents that make its legs are the two polarities, the two serpents that are entwined in the caduceus of Mercury. In Kabbalah, they are called Obd and Od.

They are also called the two witnesses. One witness is Adam and the other witness is the helper, the assistant, which is Havah (Eve). Here we have the two serpents entwined in the caduceus of Mercury, which in the Bible is called the Tree of Good and Evil. The caduceus of Mercury is the famous Tree of Good and Evil.

If we know how to utilize the caduceus of Mercury between the man and the woman, then we know how to awaken the Serpent of Brass. The Serpent of Brass is the Aur, the light, the Shechinah, the Divine Mother. The Serpent of Brass is hidden in the chakra Muladhara, which is located between the coccyx and the genitals.

The Serpent of Brass is the creative force of God, which is feminine. That is why when we say the three letters IAO, we relate them with the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).

In IAO we find the relationship of our sexuality with our throat. It is easy to see this. When anybody enters into puberty—especially men—the testicles start creating sperm, and their voice changes.

So the throat and the sex are interrelated. That is why, in the sexual act, man and woman have to pray. They have to vocalize the sacred mantras in order for the creative force of God to be controlled.

The problem of Adam and Eve in the garden—as we read in Genesis—is that when they performed the sexual act, they forgot about God. And what happened? The word was not active, and when the word is not active, the energy goes out of the body through the orgasm, or the spasm of the animals.

We have to control our sexual energy through the word, Adam, the mouth. That is why the power of prayer is the best thing in order to raise sexual energy to the heart, to be in chastity. This is best done in the sexual act.

Adamknewhiswife

This is why we find in this Buddhist symbol of the Kalachakra that the two mouths of male female are united. As you can see, the man that is holding the female has three faces. This relates to the three primary forces. These three primary forces are Kether, Chokmah, and Binah—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—or as they say in India, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.

IAO. Iod-Hei-Vav. The other Hei (face) is not visible; it is the unknowable, the Ain Soph. This is showing that the union of man and woman is in the sex and in the mouth.

The two mouths are united. This means that the union of the man and woman in the sexual act not only involves the phallus and vagina, it also involves the word. They have to pray. The word is sacred, because in the beginning was the word and the word was God.

So when they pray in the sexual act, the sexual energy rises. Related with the symbol of Gaius, Master Samael Aun Weor said, "I.A.O. is hidden within GAIO (GAIUS). Therefore, work with I.A.O."

There are many mantras, but the basic one is IAO because it is related to the Holy Trinity, the forces of the sacred name of God.

In this Buddhist symbol, we see a man with ten arms. The power of Adam Kadmon, which is the superior man, God himself, relates to Daath (the throat) and the ten Sephiroth that he has to Self-realize, to develop in himself. But without the power of the woman, he cannot.

This is why God divided Eve from Adam, in order for Adam (the speech) to develop himself with the power of Sex, the woman; and the woman with the power of the man. This is why we find in this Buddhist symbol that the man is holding the power in his right hand. He is trampling on demons. We have to crush the ego. The animals of desire have to be trampled on, disintegrated.

In the Tree of Life, this alchemical work is symbolized by Yesod, the sexual organs, and Daath, the throat. When we transmute our sexual energy, when are doing the alchemical work which we are explaining, we are placing Yesod, our sexual energy, in Daath. Yesod over Daath means that we are uniting the "Nukva" as we say in Kabbalah (which is the feminine sexual force in the physical body) to the spiritual force of God in the throat, because God creates with the word. This is how we unite the inferior with the superior.

tree-star

When we pull Yesod over Daath, then the other two Sephiroth (Hod and Netzach) that form the third triangle in the tree of life remain above Tiphereth the second triangle. Thus, this is how we form the Star of David, having as its center Malkuth, because by doing so, we drag Malkuth, which is always beneath Yesod.

So when raising the power of Yesod to Daath, Malkuth is dragged to the center of the Star of David. This means that all the power of the Star of David is in Malkuth. Malkuth is the kingdom, the king and the queen, Meleck and Malkah. Queen and King united make Malkuth. From this union emerges what we call the Star of David. The Star of David implies sexual union.

So, in the raising of the Sephirah Yesod to the union with Sephirah Daath, we pass Yesod through the Sephirah Tiphereth. This means that we have to do this alchemical union with the human soul (willpower). When we are in sexual union, it is the human soul, Tiphereth (the heart), who is pulling Yesod (sex) and uniting it with Daath (the throat).

So it is the human soul who does the work. The human soul (Tiphereth) is related with the lower Sephiroth Netzach and Hod. Netzach and Hod are the lever and the spring of the sexual fire. Netzach and Hod (Glory and Victory in Hebrew), are related with the mind and the emotions. The Star of David is showing us that the sexual union is not only physical, but also in the soul and the emotions. Man and Woman have to be united emotionally and mentally. Above Tiphereth we have the spirit, Chesed, and the Divine Soul, Geburah.

This alchemical work is done through the perfect matrimony—the union of all the forces of two human beings, Man and Woman, through Tiphereth.

The Star of David is called Zeir Anpin: the heavenly man, the superior man, the small face.

Unfortunately in this day and age, men and women are united in matrimony only physically. It is difficult to find a couple that are united emotionally—you find many couples who disagree emotionally, and even mentally.

The perfect couple are those that are in love physically; emotionally; mentally; and in the soul, Tiphereth (which is willpower); and beyond, in the spirit. That is the perfect couple.

It is difficult, of course. But that is what the Star of David is showing us, through the work which we have to perform in the creation of light.

This is what let there be light and there was light implies. We are in darkness and we need light. We need light in order to express the knowledge of God through our throat, in order to say powerful words, and in order to control nature.

It is written in Genesis that the man was controlling the birds of heaven. In order to control the birds of heaven, you have to know how to leave your physical body, to astrally project in order to fly.

When the astral body is out of the physical body, you fly in the fourth dimension, fifth, sixth... And if you enter into a Samadhi, ecstasy, out of your body, you can also enter with your soul into the heavens. All the heavens of religions are related to the Sephiroth.

Paul of Tarsus stated:

I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) such a man was snatched up to the third heaven. – 2 Corinthians 12:2

"Whether in the body, I cannot tell"—this indicates that we can also fly with the physical body.

Yes, you can do this, but for that you have to learn Jinn science—how to place your physical body into the fourth dimension by utilizing the power of the astral light, the quanta. When you learn that, then you can fly with your physical body.

Of course, it is easier just to have an astral projection, or an ecstasy, as Samadhi, and to leave the body and enter into those dimensions. When we perform this then we discover why it is written that Adam commanded the birds of heaven.

It is also written that Adam commanded the fish of the sea. Control of the fish of the sea also relates with the power of controlling the sexual energy, because that is our own particular fish, (Nun in Aramaic) that we have to transmute. When you do that, you can go to the bottom of the sea with your astral body, and even with your physical body.

In India there are many yogis that control the tattva Apas and stay in a state of meditation under the waters for days. Is this possible? Are they fish? Yes, they turn into fish. That is possible with the controlling of let there be light, because that light that emerges is made by the Holy Spirit, which the giver of life.

The Holy Spirit is the creator of fish, birds, human beings, the beasts of the earth, plants, etc. Adam also controlled the beasts of the earth. How did Adam control all these creatures? He did it with the word. These are secret things (words, mantras) that you discover and that are given unto you when you develop the power of tongues!

In this day and age, there are a lot of people talking about the power of tongues. They say, "just let your tongue relax and pronounce incoherent words... even if you don't know what you are saying." Well, such nonsense is the confusion of tongues, but not the power of tongues.

The power of tongues is precisely the power that we develop in Daath (the throat) by means of the power of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that grants such power. But in order to acquire the power of tongues, the Holy Spirit as creative energy has to rise in the spinal column from Yesod to Daath. Thus, if you are a fornicator, you cannot develop it.

The power of tongues, for instance, is the power to teach what we are teaching here in Kabbalah, interpreting the Peh and the Hei and all those words written in the Bible—words that are written there in tongues. Behind the letter that kills is the spirit that vivifies.

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God (Shaddai-El-Chai, the Holy Spirit); not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life. - 2 Corinthians 3: 3-6

So we have to see the spirit that gives life. We have to have that power of tongues, and such a power is here in the throat. It is related with what in India is called the chakra Vishuddha, which gives the power of clairaudience (clear hearing)—the understanding of the word.

In order to raise the energy from Yesod (sex) to Daath (the throat), we need chastity and the perfect matrimony. This is how we acquire the power of tongues.

If you read the Gospels, you will realize that this mysterious power of tongues begins after the Four Gospels, in the book of Acts. Master Jesus displays the power of tongues in the Gospels, but that was Master Jesus.

But he was not glorified. This means that he was not yet resurrected. When he died, resurrected, and ascended to heaven, then he returned as spirit with the power of tongues into those that enter into the path.

It is written that the power of tongues was manifest in the apostles after the resurrection, after the ascension. Not before.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a voice from heaven (the Third Logos) as of a rushing mighty wind (Aleph), and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. – Acts 2: 1-4

The tongues like as of fire that sat upon the pineal gland, in the Sahasrara chakra, is the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sadly, people think that by just believing in or accepting Jesus that they will receive the power of tongues. Listen, it is not that easy. In order to acquire the power of tongues we have to walk the path of initiation, and to reach at least the resurrection in the fire.

There are four types of resurrections. First is the resurrection in the fire. This means that we have to transmute our sexual fiery passion—as we explained with the Star of David—seven times; namely, in our physical body, vital body, astral body, mental body, causal body, Buddhic body, and the body of our spirit.

When we reach that level, then we resurrect in the fire. In the fire, you receive the power of tongues. But, please understand, this does not mean the speaking of incoherent words, but to have power of "Peh" in your mouth and your throat in order to command the forces of nature.

This was shown by St. Francis of Assisi. Anybody who has the power of tongues can talk with animals, and I am not talking about intellectual animals, I am talking about irrational animals. How? It is easy.

I remember Master Samael Aun Weor, who mentioned that he understood what a dog was saying through its barking, or a cat through its meowing. When we hear barking, meowing, etc., in the physical world we only hear physical sounds.

Siegfried, the third of the four operas that constitute The Ring of the Nibelungen by Richard Wagner, comes into my mind right now. In that opera, Siegfried hears the bird singing and understands what the bird is saying in his song. The understanding of the language of birds relates to the power of understanding the language of fire, the language of the Holy Spirit, the power of generation (Genesis). Nobody can acquire such power without at least reaching initiatic resurrection. There are many instances of initiates who display such power.

Nevertheless, we may understand what the animals are saying through meditation; if we are in chastity, we can develop a little bit of clairaudience, and understand what animals say when they are barking, meowing, singing, etc. For this, we have to be very attentive during our meditation. Then we understand the meaning of these sounds, because they are talking. This is one of the aspects of the power of tongues.

Moreover, if the initiate takes the direct path he receives the power of the Word, Christ, who then lifts the serpents of light. It is written, "Whosoever knows, the Word gives power to. No one has uttered it, no one will utter it, except the one who has the Word incarnated."

Now we are entering into another topic—the incarnation of the Word—which is related with what the Bible calls the second coming.

What is the first coming? The first coming is always synthesized in any initiate who is an Avatar and comes to teach. Jesus came physically and taught, but he promised to return. In Mexico, Quetzalcoatl was teaching the Toltecs and he promised to return. In India, Krishna, Buddha, and many other great Avatars also promised to return. Samael Aun Weor came physically and taught us Gnosis, and he promised to return.

People that do not understand Kabbalah do not understand that the second coming of any Avatar is precisely related with the serpents of the light, the Pentecost, the coming of the Word.

"They were all with one accord in one place," which is Bethlehem. So when you read in the book of Acts that the apostles were reunited, it is equivalent to what is written in Exodus, when the twelve tribes of Israel were reunited with Moses. When this happens to the twelve apostles, Judas is already dead. Judas is the sexual passion, which is already dead after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. Matthias (means in Hebrew 'Gift of God') takes the place of Judas.

Thus, we ask those Pentecostals who say that they have the power of tongues, "Where is their Matthias (Gift of God)?" Since, as in us, we see only Judas in them, because when we have a lot of ego, a lot of lust, anger, vanity, pride, laziness, there is no Matthias, but only Judas. We cannot have Pentecost, the power of tongues, the Gift of God, with Judas within. Judas has to be annihilated. Judas is our animal passion, our ego.

The Word comes and is incarnated in us and makes us children of God only if there is chastity and renunciation, as the book of John states:

In the beginning was the Word (the Logos), and the Word was with God, and the Word (the Logos) was God. The same was in the beginning (Bereshith) with God. All things (words, Debarim) were made by IT (the Logos); and without IT (the Logos) was not any thing (word, Dabar) made that was made. In IT (the Word, Dabar, the Logos) was life (Chai, the Holy Spirit); and the life (Chai, the Holy Spirit, when the Word is incarnated) was the light of men (Bodhisattvas). And the light (of Christ) shines in (the face of the) darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

IT (the Word) was in the world, and the world was made (in the beginning) by IT (the same Word), and the world knew IT not. IT (the Word) came unto his own, and his own (in Nirvana) received IT not. But as many as (through renunciation) received IT (the Word), to them gave he (the Word) power to become the children of God. – John 1: 1-5, 10-12

Note: the Greek word αὐτός (autos), translated here as "IT," is a 3rd person personal pronoun: 1= he, she, it, they; 2= himself, herself, itself, themselves; 3= same.

Thus, after the incarnation of the Word, the Apostles receive the power of tongues in the light, which is to know how to teach, how to shine in the darkness.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitudes came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own (religious) language, etc. – Acts 2: 5, 6

As in the past, today, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus—no matter from what religion—the Gnostics taught and teach to them, the new wine of the spirit, the secrets hidden within their scriptures. That is the power of tongues—the power hidden within the written word of any religious language.

Now, there is another power of tongues that is acquired by those who resurrect with their physical body—this is acquired when we resurrect physically, as Jesus did. That is a long process after resurrecting in the light.

In order to resurrect in the body, you have to resurrect first in the fire, then in the light, and then in the body. This is a higher process of initiation. Then we receive the highest power of tongues, which is to fluently speak any language in the universe.

How many languages do you find on this planet earth? We find hundreds. To comprehend and to speak all of them is possible when we have the highest power of tongues.

Religious people who do not understand Kabbalah or Talmud form spiritual groups, thus, in this day and age, a lot of these people teach—even on TV—what they think the power of tongues is; namely, they just pronounce incoherent words, which sometimes are very funny.

After uttering their nonsensicality they say their gibberish was from the Lord, and they ask for money. Listen, that is not the power of tongues; it is just gibberish. Anybody can develop, build, that tower of babbles—twaddle is easy to come by, since the ego is silly. Anybody can fall into a trance and start pronouncing incoherent words. An ego of a dead person can easily enter into a body in trance, and if such ego is from Korea, the person in trance will talk Korean. This is also called mediumism, spiritism. This is the opposite of the power of tongues.

There are always two ways—the positive way and the negative way—for the power of tongues, the power of receiving gifts.

The word "receive" is "Kabbalah" in Hebrew. Do you want to receive a gift? Okay, but first understand, you have to develop yourself, since this is not that easy.

Some intellectual Kabbalists understand that Kabbalah means to receive; thus, they want to receive the powers of God in their animal mind, their ego; they do not comprehend that God does not mingle with the Devil, with Satan, the ego.

Does Satan exist? Yes, Satan is our sensual mind; Satan is the "me." Thus, everybody has Satan, the Devil, within; namely, lust, anger, pride, vanity, greed, laziness, gluttony. The seven heads of the beast, 666. That beast is inside each one of us. It is the antichrist.

We have to fight against the antichrist, against the beast, and repeat the same tasks which are written in the book of Revelation. We have to do it within—this is why that book was written. It is a guide for Kabbalists.

So, do not expect that by knowing Kabbalah intellectually, or by studying these things (Debarim) intellectually, you will receive the powers of God in your ego. Understand that there are two ways to receive. Remember that the Tree of Life is reflected in Klipoth, the tree of death, which is Hell.

When you are in Malkuth (the physical body, the physical world) if you have ego you may receive from hell. You may collect from hell. Klipothic Kabbalah. You may become a hierarchy of the tree of death, Klipoth, since there is always duality in the universe.

Nevertheless, if you want to develop a hierarchy within your Being, your consciousness, you have to start receiving in your consciousness, in your soul, in your spirit. This is the positive, or Heavenly, Kabbalah.

Klipothic Kabbalists in this day and age affirm that you have to receive in your ego, so that your ego can become very fat, to the braking point that the ego unexpectedly will explode in order for your soul to be united with God. This is what they affirm.

Then we ask, "why then did Moses write 'you shall not kill, steal, or lie, you shall honor your father and your mother, etc.'? Why did Moses give the commandments if we just have to receive and receive like a big hippopotamus, like a behemoth? If this is so, take the commandments out of the Bible! You don't need them!"

Listen, the commandments were given because we need to annihilate the ego which breaks the law of God. When we accomplish the commandments, and don't break the law of God, then we start receiving the power of tongues in our spirit, in our heart.

Neither do we expect that we are going to receive the gift of God just by raising our arm aloft and saying "I believe in Jesus," and thereafter, all of a sudden, the Holy Spirit will come and give us the power of tongues.

Speaking incoherent words is not the power of tongues but the power of Babbles, the confusion of tongues that make you to go around blabbing that you already have a visa to heaven because you believe you have the power of tongues. Understand, the Holy Spirit is represented by the Hebrew letter Iod, which becomes a Zayin, a sharp two-edged sword protruding out of "Peh" (פה the mouth, the throat); the Holy Spirit is Alpha and Omega, yes, Alpha in the throat and Omega in your sexual organs; thus, if you spill the sexual energy, you cannot have the power of tongues. As we Kabbalistically explained: In the beginning was the Word... In IT, the Word, was life (sexual force); and the life (sexual force) is, was, and will be the light of men, Adam, Speech. Sex and throat are intimately related.

The sperm and the ovum are the life force of the Holy Spirit. When you transmute that life to Daath, the throat, you receive the S-Word, the power of tongues in your Vishuddha chakra. This happens on a greater scale when you enter into the Fourth Initiation of Major Mysteries, which is related with the mind. At this point, you understand how the power of the throat relates to the power of nature, the power of Iod-Havah Elohim, or Jehovah Elohim.

When we talk about Bereshith we always state that this Word is an anagram. The Zohar states that Bereshith means six were created, or he created six. This is written in Aramaic because, remember, the Hebrew language sprouts from Aramaic.

So here we have another meaning of Bereshith: six sprouts. When we talk about six, we talk about Chesed, Geburah, Tiphereth, Netzach, Hod, Yesod, and Malkuth. These are the six lower Sephiroth emanating from Daath, which is the union of Mother-Father, Binah, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is always associated with Saturn.

That is why Saturn is related with Saturday, the seventh day. So the seventh aspect is always in Daath. From Daath (which is the seventh, the union of Father-Mother) emerge the six. This is what the word Bereshith says. Six were created by Elohim. Bereshith Bera Elohim.

Elohim is the union of Abba and Aima, God and Goddess, Father and Mother. They the seventh created six.

This is what is said in Aramaic, "He created six (Bereshith)." It means that in the world of creation, you find the seven rays of creation. Many times in our lectures we mention the seven rays of creation, and we say that they are related with the seven planetary genii, the seven planets, and the seven days the week.

The seven planets are the Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Saturn is Daath, the union of the Elohim Binah, creating the six.

That is how the seven Logoi, the seven rays, the seven words, emerge from the world of creation. Logos means word, Logoi means words, which is "debarim" in Hebrew, in Kabbalah.

These seven words, seven Logoi, are the seven archangels, the seven spirits, before the throne of God, which is the Holy Trinity: Kether, Chokmah, and Binah.

The seven holy spirits are related with our spirit. That is why we say that when we talk about the throat we have to discover to which word of the seven spirits, or Logoi, our spirit belongs. The knowledge that we develop individually (through the Monad) relates to the ray that we belong to.

Remember that the Lamb of God has seven horns and seven eyes. These are the seven spirits behind the throne of God—the seven Logoi, the seven words. Every horn is a Logos, a word, which emerges from "Peh," the mouth of Elohim, which is of course Daath.

This is why, in our development, it is necessary for us to meditate and discover our own particular ray; because through that ray we enter into the union with our Father. "No-one goes to the union with the Father except through me," said Christ.

Remember that Christ is energy. That is very well explained in the book of Revelation. Christ, who is symbolized by a lamb, had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits. The book of Revelation states this very clearly.

The seven spirits are Christ. The twenty-four elders are related with the Lord. Different parts of the same fire, the same energy, which we call Christ.

We say Christ in Greek, but in Latin it is called Lucifer. The Catholic Church changed the meaning of this word into something evil. In Latin "Luci" means light and "fer" means ferry, carrier. Lucifer is the carrier of the light, and the carrier of the light is the Lord, the Word.

The light emerges from the Ain Soph as a single ray and then divides itself into three—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. From Chokmah, the Word goes into Daath through Jehovah Elohim Binah, and thereafter it is divided into seven.

From those seven emerge all the monads which inhabit the earth. This is why we have to develop seven bodies. This is why the number seven is holy, sacred. This is why you have seven chakras, seven bodies. That, indeed, is the power of the letter Peh.

Questions and Answers

Audience: You mention that there are four resurrections and you talked about the resurrection in the fire, in the light, and in the physical body. What would be the fourth one?

Answer: The resurrection of the fire is the creation of the vehicles of the soul. The resurrection of the light is the incarnation of the Word in order to unveil your own mysteries.

This is what the Master Samael said in the book The Gnostic Bible: The Pistis Sophia Unveiled, "We, Samael Aun Weor, promise to return, to unveil the rest of Pistis Sophia."

So, as we were explaining, any Avatar comes and explains verbally to people, as there are always sacred books written after that Avatar leaves—that was his message. When he says "I will return to unveil the rest," it means within you.

What you want is to unveil the Pistis Sophia within you. There are many enormous ignoramuses who think that it means to unveil the rest of the actual book. Then they start doing it in order to boast that they are doing it. They do not understand.

It is to resurrect in the light within you, to unveil your own Pistis Sophia.

What would happen if Master Samael Aun Weor comes and unveils the actual book Pistis Sophia completely, and all the books of the world, if we do not do anything within? It is better to receive it within you in order to develop that resurrection in the light.

Another is the resurrection in the body of liberation. This is another type of resurrection. It is a body which we build, during initiations, in the fourth dimension. So when you resurrect, you resurrect within the fourth dimension. But that is optional.

The best resurrection is to resurrect physically, with the same body which we have now. This was performed by Master Jesus.

But for that, there are levels and levels. So the fourth, which I did not mention, is the resurrection of the body of liberation, which is related to the mind, to the mental body.

Question: You mentioned that we have to leave our bodies, and you also mentioned the mantra INRI. I think there is a practice that Master Samael gives in order to leave the body using that mantra. Could you talk more about that?

Answer: The mantra INRI is a mantra directly related with Master Jesus, and has to be divided into five vowels: INRI, ENRE, ONRO, UNRU, ANRA. Every single vowel vibrates in the different chakras. That is performed in the sexual act, because the mantra INRI vibrates in the sexual act.

The letter "I" in INRI is the Iod that relates to the brain and also the Iod that relates to the phallus. NNN relates to the Nun, which is the sperm, and also relates to the head. So by the sound IN, the force of the sex is going up to the head.

The RRR in Hebrew is the Resh, the head. That vibrates there and in the chakra you are concentrated on—in this case (INRI) it vibrates in the chakra of the head.

If you want to put into activity the chakra Vishuddha, the throat, you must vocalize ENRE.

For the chakra of the heart, ONRO.

For the chakra of the Lungs, ANRA.

Telepathy in the solar plexus, UNRU.

Those were the vowels which the Master Jesus was pronouncing in Egypt in order to develop his chakras and to receive the power of the fire.

You can also pronounce them singly. The force will also be active there, but is especially for those who have already awoken their Kundalini and want to guide it to the different chakras in order to activate them. Remember that the Kundalini is related with the seven chakras.

And that helps you to easily astral project. In order to easily go out in the body, it is necessary to develop the chakra of the heart, but in connection with all the chakras.

When you are in the astral body, you need to listen, to see, to understand, and to bring into your physical brain all the memories when you return to your body. For that, you need to activate all the senses of the astral body. In other words, the chakras of the astral body have to be in activity through those mantras derived from INRI.

This is how you resurrect within the fire and acquire the power of tongues.
