I do circle before sleeping always. But still in the dream when I see any people I do conjuration. Some times they go away , some times they stay and talk to me. So I believe that those who go away/vanish/run-away are from dark forces. So what/whom exactly is the circle protecting? If it is to protect us from black magic, why do I still see people from dark force in the dream? Which body does it protect, physical? astral? or any other?

When does the circle break? If I get up and go to the bathroom, do I need to do circle again when I come back to my bed to sleep? What if my cat moves around?

Most of the time, the entities we see as "dark powers" are our own egos. That is, they are parts of ourselves: our own fear, pride, anger, etc. Each ego is an entity with its own thoughts, feelings, and ways of behaving, and each one wants to control us. So, when we fall asleep, these are the entities who are waiting for us, in order to take advantage of our desires and our state of consciousness.

The circle protects the physical / vital body from any who would harm it. It does not protect you from your own bad habits or mechanical tendencies: i.e. your egos. You can make the circle, but if you then become identified with an ego, you have invited that element into yourself.

The circle has power relative to our degree of awakening, and how much energy we have accumulated. If we are wasting our energy through fear, lust, etc, then the circle will be weak. It is then necessary to learn how we waste energy during the day.

In other words, you cannot rely on the circle as your primary defense.

When you leave the physical body and go into the astral plane, you need a different kind of defense: you need to awaken consciousness. Study these lectures:

Thank you but I still have some questions.
"The circle protects the physical / vital body from any who would harm it". Who is this "who" and what kind of "harm"?

Also can you please tell if I need to redo the circle once I leave it and come back?

Also from my experiences in astral, if I encounter egos they do not go away with conjuration, I fight them and win them. But if I encounter dark forces they go away with conjuration. If neither then I receive teaching from these light beings. If egos went away with conjuration, then I guess in the day time instead of calling Mother to burn them, conjuration on egos should work. But it does not work that way. Am I missing something here?

I will go thru the lectures you have mentioned. Thanks a lot.

There are mischievous people who due to their pride, anger, lust, etc. may cause problems for those who pursue the path. You can learn about them and how to defend yourself through the links we already gave and by reading this book: The Divine Science. Realize that one of their main weapons is your own fear. So, firstly, learn the facts, perform the steps of defense, and trust your Innermost, then you will not be afraid. As I mentioned, the first problem is not other people, it is our own egos. Those who work on their ego seriously have nothing to fear from other people.

If you leave the place you sealed with the circle, you break it. So, if you return, you can create it again.

"Calling on Mother to burn them" does not do anything if you have not comprehended the ego. That is why you are seeing internally that the egos remain active, undissolved. Your Divine Mother can only destroy an ego once it is fully comprehended in meditation. What you are describing is a technique invented by a mistaken person. This has been discussed too many times on the forum already, and is explained in many, many lectures and books. I recommend that you study more. Have you read The Great Rebellion, Treatise of Revolutionary Psychology, and The Revolution of the Dialectic? These explain in detail.

Thank you for the answers. Yes when I said "calling on Mother to burn them" I meant after comprehension. But only difference is I do it through out the day when I see egos as well as at the end of day during retrospection. Thanks again for your time and links.
