Hello Brothers and Sisters,

First, thank you so much for all you do.

I've been working on this Work happily, but I seem to have hit a roadblock. I've tried to get past it, but I am starting to feel pretty hopeless so thought to reach out for help and advice.

Seven months ago, I was introduced to Gnosis. I will never forget the first time I read Master Samael's The Perfect Matrimony, and was in awe of the truth that I had fallen asleep and forgotten. I am so eternally grateful for that day. However, before that day, I did not believe in God at all. I was truly asleep and committed some great errors, some of which were quite embarrassing in front of people. I thought I had moved beyond those memories that humiliate me and bring me shame, but the past couple weeks, I cannot get them out of my head. My meditation has become much less productive, because I cannot get this obsessive rumenation of my humiliation out of my head. I know it's largely pride-related, because I find myself often thinking about what the other people that were there must think of me, but I just don't know how to get it out of my mind. Is this something many people new to this journey experience, the shame and regret of things they did before? Any advice on ways to calm down so I am able to look objectively at these memories? I'm really becoming miserable and feeling hopeless, which I know I am causing myself, so I was just hoping for any advice from people so much wiser than me. Thank you so much.

Love and peace.

The solution to a problem is found within the problem itself. The resolution you need will be found by recognizing the elements of the conflict you are experiencing, and then truly understanding them. When we are in psychological conflict (as in this case), then there is an enormous opportunity to make a strong transformation. To do so requires that we are willing to endure the boiling waters. That is: meditate, relax, pray. This cannot be done intellectually, but only by sitting in quietude to meditate. Visualize the scenes, remember what happened, do not avoid the truth. Only by facing the truth can we understand it, and then grow into better people. When we want to avoid the truth, we need to see why...
