Hello Instructors. I have a question.

I watched your step seven of meditation video. In it you talk about how Dhyana or meditation also has the esoteric meaning of visualized images that arise during meditation. You say that until you reach the stage of samadhi they cannot be trusted because they will be wrongly interpreted by the ego. And you say that when you reach samadhi you will see images about things that are true. And that got me thinking about spiritual powers that people have claimed to exist such as the ability to predict the future (I assume based on images that arise), see into their past-lives, or like in the case of Ram Das (Richard Alpert) where his teacher Neem Karoli Baba was able to see that he was thinking about his mother the day before he met, as if he had a telepathic ability to read the minds of others or spy on them. Or like in the case of Joan of Arc who heard voices from God telling her what to do. I have always been interested in the topic of spiritual powers, or siddhis, such as clairvoyance and how practitioners might use those powers to see things or "spy" on the lives of other people. Are these powers real? Because the idea that someone more advanced than me could spy on me and see what I do in my free time is something that could potentially change the way I live my life. I think it would motivate me (out of shame) to put in more effort into my spiritual practice, instead of wasting time playing video games, for example. I can also see how the ego would try to chase after these powers and how they might be a hindrance. But are these powers or capabilities real or are you guys just saying that these images that arise during the samadhi stage are just kind of like when someone daydreams but in a way that is not conditioned by the ego?

On the matter of Clairvoyance study this:

.

It is imperative that no one should ever contemplate spying on another through any medium-astral or physical. For such a spy will attract grave karma to himself. For the Golden Rule is:
'do unto others whatsoever you will for have them do unto you'. Matthew 7:12 and Luke6:31

Therefore, if you spy on others you will have many more spy on you. No authentic master of the White lodge deliberately go spying on others to monitor them.
