Hi instructors I’ve started drinking lemon water everyday now after reading somewhere else how it helps liver function. That is, I squeeze half a lemon in 16oz of filtered water. Is this what Samael sun Weor meant?

I believe there is a lemon juice and olive oil cleanse for the liver: half a cup of juice and half olive oil.

I read olive oil is not good for a liver cleanse as it is fatty and makes the liver work harder? Was this given by Samael aun weor?

I have heard of this practice from other instructors and also Samael Aun Weor in Esoteric Medicine and Practical Magic I believe. There might be different opinions from different sources. Most of what I’ve read emphasize this as a good liver detox.

I'll try it. Do we have to fast for the day though?

No. You can perform the cleanse without fasting.

How long does it take to see the benefits?

I have tried this method from the book Occult medicine & practical magic, which now is titled Esoteric medicine & practical magic as mentioned by Almustafa.

For me I noticed the next day effects from this cleanse, I believe they may have been gallbladder stones being ejected out, although without proper analysis it’s open for debate exactly what that material is/was, therefore I cannot be 100% certain that my belief is accurate or true.

I will say that I performed the cleanse for a second time with diminished results, actually I did not notice any ‘stones’ this time and only an oily substance was ejected. Make of it what you will as this is just a testimony of my experience with this folk remedy.

I did not experience any ill effects, however the concoction was quite difficult to ingest, I didn’t enjoy the flavour or texture at all. Perhaps my liver did what I felt like doing when downing the liquid and threw it up along with any anomalies in the mix. Good luck with the cleanse if you intend to try it!
